The atmosphere was absolutely incredible, as were the staff and the decor of the restaurant itself. You can tell that great care is taken into the decor and selecting only the best staff to carry the company name. The food was absolutely stunning. Lovely range for vegetarians as you’d imagine. We had no idea what to order and how much from the menu, but the staff are patient and will help you select food that you will like. Staff member Joe was so impressive! Simply put, a must try when in the area!

Lovely food, good service (it was busy and staff were attentive). Cocktails are nice. Food comes out as it's ready, so the table fills up gradually. Decoration is lovely, there are swing seats, (like seats that are swings) we didn't get them but it's a nice gimmick.

1st time in the manchester one after visiting both Liverpool ones and Birmingham one. Celebration menu at £24.50 each was excellent value, 5 chat bomba, fenugreek fries, himalayan cheese on toast, roti bread,a tiffin box and glass of prosecco each. 8 quid each for cocktails which were lovely. free birthday brownie as well! food was great as ever, lovely attentive staff

Great experience. We'd been wanting to go to a Mowgli restaurant for some time. Always heard good reviews. We stumbled across this one and were lucky enough to get in on spec. We were asked if we'd been before and said no and that we wanted the full experience, resulting in us getting the swing chair table upstairs. We were advised to get 5 to 6 dishes between us depending on how hungry we were and that the staff would advise. The food is street food, so not massive portions. The food was outstanding. Chris and Kate, 2 members of the waiting staff, were excellent, very friendly and laughed with us about how many people couldn't find the toilets - you wouldn't believe the numbers who didn't look for the sign on the wall opposite us! My other half became a human signpost. Great experience all round. Find a Mowgli near you.

Great food, beautiful restaurants and lovely friendly staff. The prices are good for the size of dishes too. The only thing that needs changing is the price of the breads. They are pricey for what you actually get considering a main dish is only a little bit more so it soon bumps the price up. It’s definitely the type of restaurant that you want to order a few dishes each for the table to share

Beautiful and perfect food! EXCEPTIONALLY seasoned and BEAUTIFUL flavours. The butter chicken tastes like heaven, the puri was delicious and the lamb chops divine. These were my top 3 but all the food was wonderful. Nice atmosphere and good staff. The mowgli twister drink is very unique tasting and cleanses the palette well. Will 100% be coming back here!

Nice fresh food served in an interesting way in dabbawala tins, however the portions were on the smaller side. The service was also slow but friendly for a Saturday. Would recommend for a nice lunch in a group of friends as tapas with a twist, but would probably avoid for a quick couple’s dinner especially if you’re hungry!

Had a great experience at Mowgli’s in Manchester’s Corn Exchange. Booking highly recommended. Great drinks list with a range of delicious cocktails and interesting wines. We ordered a bottle of the Romanian Pinot Noir which was very enjoyable. Food was great, but it is absolutely tiny portions, and as a table of 7 it would have been handy had the wait-staff advised us about portion sizes and encourage us to get two of each or something. Everyone was very excited about the yoghurt bombs so we ended up ordering another round of those, as well as the sticky chicken and angry chicken. The curries were excellent too, and we ordered more plus extra roti’s (flat breads). Three bowls of rice was plenty for the table. The bill worked out at £29 a head which was extremely good value.

Superb starter and dessert - well worth the visit just for these! Main course 'not so good' and not hot. (mistake not to send back to be reheated, but did not like to complain)

Was in here tonight, sat upstairs overlooking the inside of the corn exchange, I had the office workers tiffin box which is basically a random rice and 3 chosen by the chef, which were the house lamb, house chicken and picnic potato curry, They were all excellent 👌 I've read complaints about portion sizes being small, they are meant to be, think of it as Indian tapas. I think its a little expensive here, was £150 for 4 of us with 2 none alcohol drinks each, But that includes service charge (I asked waitress if staff received it, she replied that they do, so well done Mowgli) Would go again.

Mowgli is located in the Corn Exchange House of Manchester. This restaurant provides Indian street food. Hence, the portion of the food is not big. The waitress who served our table is so lovely and welcoming. Food is good too.

We were sat quickly, though asked to move so they could use the larger table, We honestly didn’t mind. The food was brilliant but the stars of the show had to be the treacle tamarind fries, we have had them a few times and they never disappoint! A close second was the Goan fish curry and my gf said that it was really great, but smokier than what she normal would order. The waitress said it was one of the spiciest dishes on the menu. Also the temple dal is a wonderful wholesome dish that really makes you feel all the better for eating. We have been to several different Mowglis and on this occasion it seemed to be a bit louder than expected, but that is not the restaurants fault, it was a sunny day and there were children playing near by.

Awesome restaurant. It is just as good as Dishoom. Great options on the menu. Swinging chairs and accents of decor just like an Indian village.

Great restraint! The customer service was amazing. Of course, the foods were great! The portion of the foods were smaller than usual so we ordered 2 extra puris! I’d love to come back again for sure. Highly recommended :)

Staying in Manchester for two nights and deciding where to eat from the choices available was difficult enough, but we decided on Mowglis We had to wait half an hour to be seated and sat outside in the kind of food court area. Ordered two starters - you have to try the yoghurt bombs and a curry each. Came to about the price of a normal meal out in a city. Food was delicious.

My wife and I were on a night out just after Christmas to visit Manchester Cathedral, so I decided to make a booking with Mowgli as it was one of the restaurants me and the wife wanted to try in the Corn exchange as we have been to one or two of the other restaurant in the past . We arrived, and we were asked if we wanted inside or outside seating. we opted for outside. One of the waitresses came and asked about drinks we were having. After a short time, she asked if we were ready to order, and my wife explained that she is allergic to peppers 🌶 so the waitress got someone who had more experience who could deal with explaining and checking with the kitchen staff that was Liv a fantastic member of staff who took the time with my wife to talk us through the menu without rushing us even though the restaurant was busy. We settled on the set menu as it had a bit of everything and was at a good price. The feasting menu was 35 pounds per person. You get a glass of bubbly a starter , a main , and a desert .My wife and I had a lovely evening, and the staff member who chatted to us from the start was lovely and helpful too. sorry we did not get her name, but she was very professional . But Liv, come over at the end with our bill and check everything was OK with the food but to check my wife injoy her food . They ask if you would like to make a 1 pound donation to their charity added to the bill it's optional, and you are under no obligation to do this . The restaurant is a lovely place to have an evening out, and it's in a wonderful building that is in the corn exchange. Will I visit this restaurant again? Absolutely 💯 thanks to everyone for a warm welcome on a wet Manchester evening 😀

Saw an ad on IG and decided to visit. Ambience is beautiful, food is great. Delicious and full of flavor. Prices are also reasonable. However, they should start a 241 drinks like every other eatery. Also a service charge of 12.5% was added to my bill and when I enquired why, I was told they could just remove it. Why add it? If it’s a tip, let it be known. That didn’t make me happy. But the food is great regardless.

The staff were very friendly..a bit too laid back at times, not checking if we needed more drinks..but still very polite. The atmosphere was uplifting. The set up of the restaurant is really modern and great for pictures. The food was nice..not great but nice. I don’t eat meat so there was 2 main fish curry dishes to choose from, where I had the prawns. The prawns looked like they were lost in the curry, a little spicy…I also had the Mowgli Chip Butty which is exactly that..but really tasty. The Treacle Tamarind Fries are a must…I could’ve had just a portion of these..My brother had the vegan Mowgli Paneer cubes of cheese..I would definitely recommend! The Yoghurt Chat Bombs are a must..they look as good as they taste. The cocktails weren’t cocktailing..just basic. But the Mango Lassi was amazing! The dessert was nice, but a bit too sweet for me. I’ve watched a few vids from other Mowgli restaurants or dining sessions and I’ve seen whole fish..this is what’s missing.

The food nice, I loved the cocktails. They have sort of tapas menu. So they recommend to have 2 or 3 per person. I honestly prefer to have one unique serving with what I like. The overall experience was good considering that it was a busy day on Saturday, the service was still good.

We are Indians so we know our food very well, we decided to try this place on our way back from Lake District to London, unfortunately we found the food to be very bland and tasteless, starters were better then mains, this restaurant definitely caters more for non-authentic Indian food flavours. Decor and waiters were good tho.

Overall we enjoyed our curry meal at this popular and busy, for midweek, Mowgli restaurant. Service was very good, we were advised that there may be delays because of a big party, but did not find any problems. Mixed curries, rice, roti and a Cobra, whats not to like. Our only gripe was potato dish felt a bit under in texture.

Mowgli was as good as expected, we had high hopes visiting here and it lived up to our expectations. The restaurant itself is designed very nicely and has a good atmosphere and the food is amazing!

Delicious food!! The sticky chicken was definitely my favorite and honestly cannot wait to go back! Also very helpful staff, I am very limited when it comes to spicy food and one of the girls stopped beside me to explain all the dishes and what she would recommend. Lovely place!

Another good Mowgli visit. This location is within the Corn Exchange so some of the seats jack the atmosphere of the main restaurant but it's the same great food. Very friendly service.

  • 3/5 Mrinal R. 8 months ago on Google
Lovely location and atmosphere. Great starters but the mains need improvement. We had chaat bombs (10/10) and angry bird (10/10) as starters and I would definitely recommend them as ordered the chaat bombs twice. The mains were disappointing in comparison. We ordered prawn curry (6/10) and house lamb curry (6/10) with rice (8/10) and roti bread (6/10). The prawns weren’t fresh and the tomato based sauce was overpowering. The lamb curry was also on the sweet side and the lamb was overcooked. As sides, rice was ok but roti bread was quite thick and doughy. I would stick to the starters as they carry the menu tbh.

Excellent food Beautiful ambiance Lovely place to sit and enjoy our food. Great service by staff. Reasonable prices. Loved bhel puri and other Indian chat foods. I really liked cinnamon cola and mango lassi. Ordered some chicken starters and puri along with Gravy. Everything is good. Must try place in Manchester City centre.

Spotted this on the website before visiting the Cathedral and Medieval Qtr. I understand there are other branches. I would definitely recommend. Loved the food, vibe and friendliness of the staff. I'm in a 'big O' birthday year, so they lit the candle for me. Food cooked to order, warning on the menu dishes can arrive at different times! Arrived hot and tasty. Accessibility: Side ramped entrance into the Corn Exchange which brings you level with the 1st floor of the Mowgli. Food and Drink: As they say, street food, I throughly enjoyed what I chose Hit, Soft and Alcoholic Drinks, Staff: Very friendly and helpful, advised what went with what. Toilets: Loos are on the 2nd floor, so if wanting loo for the focusable, use the Cotn Exchange.

I had no idea as to what to expect, flying in from Denmark and spending my last day here, having a tour by my friends. But I can honestly say that Mowgli Street Food was such a great experience! Staff was nice, atmosphere was amazing, interior design of the place was really good. And even better the food was delicious! Thank you for serving me and many others!

Visited here last weekend on recommendation from some friends and wasn't disappointed at all. We had one of the outside tables upstairs overlooking the courtyard which added to the enjoyment of the night. There were 6 of us and all ordered 3 dishes each which was more than plenty, even reluctantly having to leave some uneaten. The food itself was incredible and good portion sizes. Only let down to the night was the very limited variety of beers on offer, sort that issue out and Mowgli's would be impossible to beat

Their place was lively and enticing, the service was super friendly. Cocktails were really good and a standout, but the food was disappointing and we felt unhappy. Goan fish curry was a bit tangy and Mowgli house keema was decent. Holy Chow was below average. Overall it was an ok experience.

Friendly service and enjoyable environment. Food was good not exceptional, didn't live upto the hype. The fish curry wasn't tasty at all but the chicken roll was amazing. Definitely visit.

Beautiful decor, lovely staff, a little slow to take orders but they were busy so understandable. Portions look pretty small but they are surprisingly filling and actually a perfect size for a well rounded meal. Ordered butter chicken, sweet and sticky chicken and naan and rice to share.

What a beautiful place. Pleasant, attentive staff. Well thought out decor. I was impressed at the sustainability and look of the table wear. The food was impeccable. Cocktails were lovely too, I’ll be a returning customer. We got to free doggy bag for our leftovers which was to my partner’s absolute delight. Please pay the service charge the whole team deserve it.

Only ordered drinks & snacks and they were really good. Nice ambience but sitting place is little congested. Quite busy place so waiting time is on higher side. Liked their serving style in tiffins.

  • 5/5 Anthony B. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely fantastical food, so many flavours that made my mouth water. I chose the chef's surprise Tiffin Box and I most certainly wasn't let down by the quality and the amount of food and so much so I got to take some home for Brunch the following day 😋😋😋 As for the staff, brilliant and very friendly. Restaurant was clean, tidy and pretty much well set out and roomy.

Honestly, the sticky chicken wings are unreal... the spiced chips are beautiful. Great service and food. A welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Not really for the curry connoisseur, but definitely something different and a lovely evening out.

Great meal and atmosphere. It’s not your typical Indian. Vast variety of different street food dishes, fresh ingredients used and reasonably priced. 2-3 dishes per person advised! Dishoom has always been a favourite of mine, However Mowgli isn’t far behind. Would visit again :)

Brilliant experience from start to finish! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; with such a wide variety of food on the menu, the staff take the time recommending dishes, while explaining what each one is. The food was next to none, fresh and authentic, hats off to the chefs! Everything was all great value for money, couldn’t recommend the food, service and atmosphere more. We will be back!

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel.
