Do your best to avoid this hotel!!!!!! Very bad experience. Quiet dirty and smelly. Just smell like someone pee on the carpet. Not quality of chain hotel. Carpet mold for ages. And also NO refund. And I have booked for 9 nights which is nightmare. Be careful before you book this hotel. This hotel also not safe for single lady to stay. The lock is very poor and no any chain on door. Although here is a non smoke floor, people do smoke non stop and smell very strong like cigars. That smell stay in the room very long and the window was locked, like no fresh air at all. They asked you must NOT stay in the room, when they clean the room. Generally I don’t feel safe here. And no locker. And managment attitude is rude and not helpful and clean work is lousy.

This has to be one of the worst hotels that I have stayed at in a long time, thankfully it was one night. The room, tired, in need of a proper clean, filth around the power sockets between the beds. Holes in the walls, decorated in something like artex. The beds, totally worn, you feel every spring, uncomfortable and not good for a decent night's sleep. Windows, single glazing facing a main A route through Salford, window didn't even close properly. I didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening, given the quality of breakfast I am glad I didn't. Breakfast was bland, tasteless cheap ingredients and some of it cold. Plenty of other options close by for food, I suggest you make use of them. Stay here if you want to, I won't be back and wouldn't recommend unless a great deal of work is carried out to improve it.

Not cheap, had to pay extra for continental breakfast which was very poor. Room clean, small bath with no integrated slip proof surface. Lack of security. Rooms in separate building from reception. We were woken at 5am by someone banging on our door and trying to get in. Had to call main number from confirmation email as no indication of reception number on room phone. This was dealt with promptly. Offered free breakfast. Staff very helpful and efficient.

Previously had this rated 5 stars because I had a few lucky nice stays. The staff are great here, really friendly and it makes for a welcoming nice atmosphere. I stayed about 6 times over 2 months, usually everything was great. The hotel is super dated, but usually it was clean and smelt nice. The chairs in the rooms are awful, really really horrible and uncomfortable, so don't book if you need to do a lot of online work. There are problems with some of the rooms as well, and one room I had was just a violation and insulting. Some rooms don't have remotes for the TV. One of the bathrooms had new lights and was really bright, but all the others had old dim orange lights, and once only one of them was working, so it was really dark. Sometimes it's impossible to get the temperature right for the shower control, either way too hot or way too cold. In the especially bad stay I had, the surfaces weren't clean, there was lube spils on the desk and bedside table. The sink was pretty much blocked. There was a... Net curtain in place of the shower curtain, no joke, and it didn't even reach the side of the bath. 1 of the pillow cases was soft as usual, but the other 3 felt like sandpaper. After laying in the center of the bed I noticed it started to feel damp, meaning that the previous guest must have sweat a lot, and the mattress protector hadn't been changed. Luckily that night I had only booked for 1 night, and that is the last time I have been, and will never go back. I'm sure if you have a bad room the staff will move you if there are others available, but it's just insulting that there are rooms that bad in the first place

Absolutely horrific. Disgusting room overpriced because of train strikes, absolutely foul. Not only that but we've not received a parking charge that's been escalated to debt collectors because literally every staff member at this hotel is incapable of performing a basic task. Oh and to make things worse, the manager doesn't seem to exist, or care. And apparently theres mo customer service / complaints department to escalate this to. Below 0 stars. Waste of money, would have rather slept in a cardboard box.

Stayed here for the weekend, was bit scared after reading some reviews, but glad I did book, Hotel seems old and dated, but corridor area are very neat and clean. Same as the reception area clean and tidy and with very friendly staff. Room dated, but enough space and spotless. Not the comfiest mattres, but fresh and clean linen. Had breakfast, perfectly cooked by the same lad that pour us a pint and checked us in the day before. And lot of help with directions from the Asian lady on check out. Great experience, Will definitely come back.

Fairly standard place to stay the night. Best feature is the ample car parking. Clean rooms. Don't go by the postcode as it will take you among the houses. The hotel is right there at the signal opposite McDonald's.

You are paying for a budget hotel, so the price reflects the hotel room. The room was clean with a central, comfy double bed and had towels, TV, kettle (with tea and coffee), and a hairdryer which was really powerful. Most hotels have terrible hairdryers, but this one was good enough to dry my thick curly hair very well. Staff were friendly! We didn't use the bar or restaurant but it seemed to be buzzing as we were checking in. I've given Hotel Campanile 4/5 only because our shower gel dispenser wasn't working. You had to lift the flap and milk the shampoo bag like a cow to get small quantities out which was annoying because we had returned back to the hotel room a bit sweaty from a gig and wanted to get clean in the shower. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and definitely recommend if you are looking to stay somewhere relatively cheap.

After reading very mixed reviews I still went ahead and booked a 2 night stay in this hotel. When I arrived and went to reception and saw the gentleman sat behind a plexiglass screen I started to regret my decision. However if you ignore that you realise this hotel certainly has many positive things Location. It is about 10 minutes walk to a tram stop. 15 minutes to the science museum., Around 30 minutes to old Trafford.. there is also a large Sainsbury's and McDonald's just over the road. Parking. Free parking although I notice it gets full. Breakfast. Although the choice is not huge, the quality is Very good. Staff. Helpful and friendly. Showers. Hot and powerful Now of course for the negatives. The rooms are dated. This is not a new premier Inn room this is closer to a Travelodge from the 80s. However our room wasn't terrible and you do get used to it. Also most of the time we were asleep anyway (or maybe not,see next point) Noise. The reception is in another building so drunks and rowdy people just go straight to their rooms at all times of the night. Shouting and singing in the dated corridors, maybe if they had to go past a reception they could be reminded to keep the noise down, there isn't even any posters up reminding people to be quiet like they have in other hotel chains. I was staying Friday night so I was expecting some noise but this was pretty loud. I accept this happens in all hotels but it feels like they don't make an effort to stop it. Emergency vehicle sirens all night, our room faced a fairly busy road and Manchester certainly gets its fair share of emergencies it seems. Would I stay there again? Possibly, depending on what I wanted to do in Manchester, it has many positive things.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would, for Β£100 we had a kicked in radiator with stains and it didn't work, stains in the bathroom and even hair. The beds you can feel every spring digging into your back, the tap sprayed everywhere, shower was poor, kettle leaked hot water, the lamps look like someone lit a cigarette in it, the room was cold, blinds where broken and the duvet didn't even fit the bed properly! Not to mention the room looks like it's still in the 1980s and parts of it smelt weird. Also constant noise all through the night. I'm not a complainer but for the price this is ridiculous my best advice is don't book here.

Nice hotel bit run down now. They offer to recycle your waste which is unusual for a hotel. Not really designed for a pedestrian as the gate is closed and you have to walk around the back and then back through the car park which feels dangerous with luggage

Three stars for this hotel since the location is good and parking is free. Otherwise it would be two. Bear in mind we stayed in one of the hottest nights this year, so what follows may be unfair. Room was small, very hot, exceptionally humid and a bit smelly when we first got in. Window opened about 20cm one side so little ventilation. Shower curtain torn, presumably because floor and bath slippery when wet. Hotel offers rubber mats, but had none when we asked for one. Carpet grubby, suspect vacuum cleaner stranger to this floor. (See picture). On the positive side, bed very comfortable and clean, towels the same. Would I stay again? Reluctantly, but location may win.

Really good hotel for a budget one, yes it's a bit tired but for the price can't complain. We had breakfast and dinner during our weekend stay and food was fantastic, there is also a large car park on site, but the staff are the real selling point, everyone we interacted with were so pleasant and helpful. Will hopefully be back again.

For a low cost hotel. Excellent. Food is basic but good. Clean comfortable rooms. Only downside is tiny tv.

I guess you get what you pay for. I didn’t make the booking but this made a Travel Lodge look 5* Dated beyond belief but what do you want for Β£49. The dead decomposing pigeon outside reception added some much needed class. The breakfast at a fraction under Β£10 was a bit of a rip off but tasty enough. On the plus side an easy walk to Manchester Central and plenty of free parking.

Basic rooms but ok for an overnight stay, there is a bar and restaurant. The food was pretty good. Plenty of free parking but no parking reservations, so first come, first serve. Staff are friendly and helpful. Be sure to register your car at reception when you check in

For the price it was OK. Clean enough but very basic.paper cups didn't really do it if you wanted more than one drink. Acceptable cleanliness. Only things were smell of people smoking cannabis whilst we were making way to the room and none there on checkout to speakto or hand key into, there were a pile along with ours left.in reception counter

Great as a budget place to stay, staff are really friendly and welcoming. The accommodation block looks very tired and the rooms are the same. For the price you can't go wrong. Lots of places to eat by just crossing the road that are 24 hours and there is also a retail park with lots of different shops.

Good location to the city centre. Our room smelt clean when you walked in, but we had dirty cups in the room, one small towel each. The liner on the window & the windows themselves were dirty. The beds were comfy, but you could tell the mattresses were older. The walls were paper-thin and you could hear everything...

No frills. The room reminded me of my first halls at uni and that was several decades ago. Dated furniture, a bit cramped and all in need of an upgrade. However, the shower was superb, the breakfast freshly cooked and tasty and the service friendly and efficient. Well located for the city centre but close to a busy road. Stay here if all you need is a bed for the night.

This hotel may not be the most stylish or serene, but, in my opinion it offers exceptionally good value if you're looking for budget accommodation in Manchester. It's a 20 minute walk to the city centre and offers easy access to the M6. The rooms might be a bit dated but the staff are incredibly helpful, the parking is included in the low price and it gives you a base to visit the city. Have stayed here three times in the last 7 months and never paid more than 40@night which is an absolute bargain! Highly recommended

Given the price and comparing to the surrounding hotels, Campanile provides really good quality for your money. Shout out to the Housekeeping team, especially the amazing Diane!

Good large clean comfy bed and room. Very powerful shower with plenty hot water. Nice and Quiet stay (one night) We included breakfast plentiful fresh and well presented. Only issue was we could of had two large towels instead of one between two adults. Possible lick of paint to keep room fresh but not dirty x

I had a nice experience here. The location is amazing, because u can walk to the city centre and there is important facilities nearby. The room was clean and nice. The bed is really comfortable, I slept that night really well. Next time in Manchester definitely here.

I really hate giving 1* reviews( and actually never have) but the room we stayed in was unclean, dated and of low quality. Uncleanliness was the mean downer....the floors were filthy... lots of debris and all sorts of rubbish under the bed. Weird marks all over the room and in the bathroom. Paper thin walls and felt like a uni halls of residence(maybe even worse) Free parking, a decent location and good staff unfortunately cant't make up for such a big flaw!

Overall my stay here was okay. The location of the hotel is by far the best aspect, close to the city centre, and an arms length away from a retail park and various fast food restaurants should you not fancy the restaurant menu. My stay here was only brief, however it was marred by a couple of factors. Firstly, the tap in the bathroom is not long enough, so as you turn it on the water immediately hits the top of the sink and sprays all over you. Secondly, the hair dryer did not work, nor did the bedside light. And thirdly, the fire alarm was set off momentarily at about 7am on a Friday. I can only assume this was a drill as it only rang for a few seconds. Ultimately it does come down to you get what you pay for, and I was only there for one night, however i would suggest that you do ensure your paying guests are given rooms with full functionality.

Pleasantly surprised. Picked this because it was one of the cheapest options available for a last minute booking. Budget hotel so you get what you pay for, but the bonus is, it comes with secure free parking and is only a short walk into town. We had problems trying to book the room via the website which was a bit frustrating, but the staff are super friendly and we booked over the phone instead for the same price. All the staff were very welcoming upon arrival. Bed was comfy so had good night sleep. Decent enough breakfast to set you up for the day. WiFi didn't work in our room but not a deal breaker for us, as we were mostly out and about.

Hotel room clean, a furnishings need updating, a plug sockets in odd places such as next to entrance door at light switch height. It is quiet an staff were friendly. The staying here for business. My major complaint the wicker chair

The most dirty and horrible hotel I have been in. Ever.. Dump and moulds all around the the room and bathroom. The smell of the rooms are terrible. you better add more money and get nice hotel

  • 1/5 Vicky C. 1 year ago on Google
Horrendous room, beds very uncomfortable with springs digging into our backs. Had to sleep on top of the covers and wasn't much better ! Stained lamp shades, stains in the bathroom etc it wasn't even worth a 1 star. Avoid ! EDITED to add on, the wall heater that started to work eventually before stopping again had a burning smell. It had a big dint in it from what looks like it has been kicked. The automated response is exactly the same as you've given others with similar reviews to mine. Nothing has changed as some of them are older than mine.

Double room with a city view. 2 nights Β£85. For that price, it was great, clean and enough for a person to rest after a whole day of sightseeing in the city. Solo female traveler. There were 2 large bath towels. No small towels for face and hands were provided. Personally, it didn't bother me too much because I decided to use another towel intended for bathing, but in such a business you should be careful because there are very sensitive people πŸ˜πŸ˜… P.s. leave a tip on the table in the maid's room. These employees work hard. 😊😊 I recommend it. If I'll come to Manchester again, I'd definitely stay here again.
