Been going regularly since it opened, must have been at least a hundred times easily. Never, not a single time, had a bad meal. Staff are great, friendly, not too rushed to have a chat. Food is top-notch. Highly recommended!

I had quite high expectations of reds due to word of mouth from people but it was. OK. It's not a posh restaurant quite the opposite really but that's its flair I suppose. The menu is very different from other places apart from the burgers and such, it's kind of a place you would go before a lads /girls night out for a quick eat. And you'll have to be quick because after 1 and half hours they abruptly asked you they need the table in 5 mins, dessert got a miss because of this, even though we was 30 mins early and there was table's free already, I was really unhappy about that attitude. The food is good with good size portions. We paid £172 for 3 people with 8 drinks. Not a return for me.

Went in on Saturday night and the staff firstly asked us if we have booked or not. We very politely said ‘no we haven’t. Then he said ‘You must be mental to not book to come here on a Saturday’. Is that what you called excellent customer service? Even if we didn’t book, does that mean we did not have the right to just ask if there is any table? I think this is mental instead of not booking restaurant on a Saturday :)

Thank you, James Douglas, for honouring my gift card which has expired during lock down. I treated myself to Swine fries followed by brisket and waffles as a desert. Food presentation was spectacular and the meat an absolute poetry. Nearly got a little emotional over this amazing work of art made in your kitchen here in Manchester. I'd give you even 6 stars if I could. Send my best regards to your professional staff on St Peter's Square!

Red's is one of my favourite places to eat, and that's as much due to the staff and atmosphere as it is due to the quality of the food. Gabby, the staff who saw us in, not only got us a table very quickly after we hadn't booked in advance but also made every part of the experience great. All other staff were equally helpful and provided excellent service. Will definitely be coming back!

Arrived here without booking ahead and was able to get a seat with no issue. The staff are very attentive and helpful with suggestions and explaining the menu. It was an interesting experience watching the kitchen at work and dealing with the many orders. My meal was great! I tried the fried pickles and was blown away by these. My burger was lovely too. Will be back for sure.

I wasn’t quite impressed with the food, the drinks were great. The chicken burger 🍔 we ordered two of those and both were dry and hard. The xxxl wings were unique and spicy 🌶 but could have added more flavour to it and it looked like they took the thighs of xxxl chicken and served in the burger making it too hard to chew. The pier-master platter was awesome, full marks for the brisket and sausages.

Walked in. Didn't need a reservation. Ordered the oit master tray and was quick service. Food good quality. South Carolina sauce was amazing. Wasn't a fan of the coleslaw however I'm generally not a fan of it anyway so don't take my word for it. Meat was delicious, I would have just liked a bit more of it

I had high expectations for the burger considering the price, but I was disappointed to find that it was served cold, the portion was small, and the service was slow. Additionally, the burger was overcooked. I do not believe it is worth more than 4£

After being recommended to me, I decided to order from Red’s today for lunch for my colleague’s birthday. What a disappointing experience. The swine fries were greasy with black burnt ends, they must have been fried and re-fried. Both portions were uneatable. The pit tray was ridiculously small, more like a kid size portion, which arrived with none of the sides. The pictures will be a perfect illustration of the poor quality. I have tried to raise it with Deliveroo customer service, without any luck. Also tried to bring it up with the restaurant directly and they could not help either. That’s a £50 lunch for 4 with only one person with decent, still lukewarm, food. 2x Swine Fries £6.50 1x The Pit Tray £18.00 1x Cheese and Jalapeño Smoked Sausage £7.00 1x Frickles (V) £4.50 1x Broccoli Carolina (V) £4.00 1x Pig Candy

Great food, and the prices of the food are pretty good for a city centre, and for the nice quality. The service was very slow though. Took 20 minutes before we ckuld order a drink and took another 20 minutes to find someone to ask to pay. They seemed to be understaffed. Great food, just a slow service. Also be aware there is a mandatory 12% service charge to your bill.

Looked for a nice place to eat while visiting Manchester. My partner was happy with his burger. Myself, as vegetarian, disappointed. I am aware the place is mainly focused on meat, which was tasty according to my partner. That’s why 3 stars. We have visited around 6pm on Sunday and cauli wings were not available, nor vegan burger. I ended up with tasteless Mac and cheese, over fried 3 onion rings and absolutely dry slaw. I am usually very accommodating about the food but this unfortunately wasn’t tasty. The slaw - cut cabbage. No dressing on it, no spices or herbs. I was honestly disappointed. The cocktails were nice. The place itself looked interesting. Unfortunately would not come back.

Normally recommend Reds to everyone, tonight they had new staff in the kitchen and the food was dire. Mac and cheese was solid (photo attached is blurry but you can see the solid cheese). All meats dry, pulled pork especially so. Honestly, you guys should be warning people as they come in the door that the food is going to be substandard (the normally very high standards) and offer a percentage off accordingly. Nothing wrong with training new staff, everything wrong with charging full price and not warning people. Been to reds many times, spent ~£90 between 3 people today and couldn't have been more disappointed. I'll look at changing this review if I give Reds another go, and if the old standards return. For now, I do not recommend.

Food was good but server was abrupt. I asked for a chicken burger not fried so, without the waffle bun, I was told that's not possible, so I had to have fried chicken. I asked for no bacon and it still came with bacon, even when she turned up at the table with bacon on she said it didn't have it on....then when we asked for dessert we were told we were on our table for too long, when we turned up on time and we had to wait for the table. Feel sorry for the kitchen staff as the food is good but we won't be coming again.

Great service and quality, one of the best beef burgers in Manchester! Unfortunately, the chicken burger wasn't so good, as it was really low in salt and a bit overcooked. The sauces were amazing! We'll visit it again for sure!

The decor is unique, food is tasty and the prices are really reasonable. People are friendly and the portions are big. We had the lunch deal which is a main (big portion) and drink for 10 pounds. They also have a kids menu.

Great food with a wide range of options, and at a reasonable price. The pork belly, burnt ends, and ribs were brilliant. The chicken wings, although huge, were quite dry. The serving sizes are good, and the meat menu sizes allow you to order a few options without ending up with too much food. The wide selection of sauces on the table were really good too.

Went here last night. Food was okay. We ordered the sharing platter for two people. The best thing by far was the ribs...but you get like 5 pieces to share, so we have to get another 1/2 rack of ribs. Food gets cold very quickly and it doesn't come out hot to begin with. Very unfortunate for a platter, I'm sure some things would have tasted better if they were warm. After a while all meats start to taste the same... only the sauces add real flavour. The cocktails were awful. We had what was labelled as a 'mai tai'... as someone who has worked in various bars I can tell the person who made them was your 'average' bar staff and not a cocktail trained mixologist. It was warm, incorrect consistency and tasted "cheap". They also included a £10 service charge which we didn't pay. We already mentioned to our server about the poor quality cocktails and the glasses were full. She didn't seem to care, and we were still charged. It was 2 for 1 on cocktails...so no tip and we paid for the cocktails were didn't even drink. Don't think you should tip, sub par service Best things were the ribs and the sauces. The Smoked chicken could have been very nice, if it was warm.

Was really excited to try this place but left disappointed, all the meats on the plate had the same flavour which wasn't great when you have a variety of different meats

The food is alright. Ordered 1/2 chicken with fries and salad. The chicken tasted very weird. One of the male waiter with shaved hair was quite rude when he saw that I hadn’t finished my dinner mumbled over his make to me if I disliked it. I couldn’t hear him cuz of the loud music and asked him to repeat himself but he just walked off. Other than that waiter, the rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Arrived early as planned timing wrong but staff were very helpful in moving time. Excellent friendly service and food was fantastic. I can highly recommend the bin lid sharing platter for two. Just make sure you are hungry and not planning much for tea.

My fiancé and I came here on our first date 5 years ago and haven't been for a while. Food was good as always, had the burnt ends which I think used to come in a sauce (please bring that back!) and the frickles to start. Both had donut burgers which were so good followed by ice cream. Cocktails were expensive- happy hour Monday to Wednesday, could maybe offer it til Friday? Waitress was lovely and very attentive.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
