Great location in Manchester’s Arndale with the excitement of food been delivered by conveyor belt. Except the chefs have clearly got bored of the system so just hand deliver your food, service from the staff was absolutely shocking but the food was good. This was my first experience of YO! And potentially my last, it’s certainly not cheap and unfortunately the whole experience doesn’t match the price point or the possibility. Would I return to Yo!, probably not.

Really?! I went there because I saw the comments on Google. Super disappointed with the quality, the sushi is warm and looks like someone eat it before me… And we saw the staffs keep talking without wearing a mask while making the sushi.

Was so excited to get back to Yo Sushi as I haven't been since before COVID. What a disappointment. No revolving sushi anymore. You have to order everything and it's sent to you on the belt. Which would be fine if it was still the same selection, but it's not. It's about a 10th of the previous menu with some duds added. The sushi selection is so small and generic they shouldn't even call themselves Yo Sushi anymore. The "teriyaki beef was deep-fried to the point it wasn't recognisable and tasted nothing like teriyaki anything. The "Korean chicken" was basically glorified chicken nuggets in sweet chilli sauce. The gyoza were out if a packet. The two sushi rolls we tried were ok, but there wasn't much to choose from. The lovely little still/sparkling water fountain is gone and there's no wasabi or pickled ginger anymore. You order and pay on your phone and have to do it all in one go and there's minimal staff interaction. Several people left after they realised new setup while we were there. Drinks are served in plastic glasses. White wine was room temperature and served with a plastic champagne glass. Completely awful experience from a place I used to love. If they keep this up they'll be bankrupt before the year is out. Absolute disgrace. COVID cannot continue to be an excuse for poor food, service and practice.

Had tried to place a C&C order through the website but there was an issue with the payment process, having tried Apple Pay and my debit card. I decided to call up and see if they could get the order ready for me as I didn’t have time to wait around while the order was prepared. Upon explaining the issue and asking the girl on phone if they could get the order ready for me and I would pay on arrival, I was told this wasn’t possible and would need to place the order through the website, after me already explaining that the website wouldn’t process any payments. I tried to explain that it wasn’t a large order, however she insisted that they wouldn’t be able to prepare anything for me and that there was nothing she could do and again suggested I order through the website.... You’ve lost a loyal customer.

Yo sushi is the most easiest and convenient way to enjoy good quality sushi and Japanese cuisine. The food is delicious and very quick to come to you. They have a new online ordering system at the table that makes ordering and paying a lot more efficient and smooth. Overall lovely restaurant, not 5 simply due to price

Honestly I adore Sushi, this place is perfectly situated upstairs in the Arndale which Is convenient, the staff are lovely and you can sometimes watch the chefs prep your meals and sushi for later it takeaways. There's a choice of Booth or stool if you have back issues which I do and they've accommodated me twice. You order your food only over an app which is quite limiting, if your phone dies or you don't have a newer model sadly it doesn't seem like you could eat here. The menus have a fun variety but when it comes to sushi itself it's quite limited, you won't find eel or octopus, nothing extravagant. Just salmon, tuna, crab and veggies. Which is a let down. But quality wise the food tastes clean, fresh and is enjoyable. But sadly you'll find yourself spending up to £4-£5 for 3 pieces of sushi sometimes and honestly that ruins it a little, it's quite expensive for a place with such little offer, I'd only feel comfortable with that price if it was a popular sushi chef from Japan. Its a fun experience if you don't mind spending a lot or having little options for sushi. Their award system makes up for it only a little but they sneakily force you to buy 1 more dish just to get the 1 extra point needed to earn a free dish, which is very sneaky. I'll still go, but it'll be rarely.

Was a good trip, atmosphere is lacking compared to when I last went. They have changed the way it works since I was last there, I much prefer the new process. Food is good as always

We enjoyed our meal here, but the service was a little slow with our drinks arriving after the food. It's not got much of an atmosphere which is probably more down to its location than anything else. We'd go back because the food is pretty consistent each time we visit.

Honestly I travel globally and I’ve seen this brand in Dubai just putting all standards for the this brand on another level. Firstly the sushi was not prepared properly, breaking off even before reaching the mouth. I found the hygiene not as per Restuarant standards and the seat I was sitting dirty with what looks like edges of the corian cluttered with black food particles.

We did the sushi making workshop and had a brilliant time making, maki, hand roll, California rolls, sushimi and learning about the salmon slicing and how to make good sushi rice. Thanks to Ricardo for teaching us and keeping us entertained.

Definitely not worth the price! I ordered Sushi for my partner and a few street food items for myself as takeaway. Got home to find the Katsu curry and Beef teriyaki is so small it can hardly feed a child. Paid for Koren fried chicken as well as curry sauce. Both missing from my bag. Will not be spending another penny at this franchise.

I usually love Yo! Sushi, but I've never been more disappointed. The rice had the same consistency as discount super market sushi, the salmon was so laughably thin on the nigiri that you could see the rice through it and there was no avocado on the yo rolls. The only reason the review wasn't one star was because the salmon wasn't bad. But how a business justifies charging £10 for that pathetic meal is beyond me.

So rubbish, no proper bargains, all retailers are liars. Trying to scam customers from buying their products. Putting price, showing discount which is there, when you remove the sale label the original price shows it's not a sale

The restaurant is very clean and pretty. The staff are very welcoming. I had to order online by scanning the QR code on the table, this is a new method at the restaurant due to COVID-19. I loved my dish (beef teriyaki and rice), although it was smaller than what I expected. The firefly drink was nice too. I would definitely revisit the restaurant.

Love the post covid system. Only order what you want and can keep track of what you are spending. Really like the traffic light table system so it's easy to see when the light goes green it's your food. Food is quick but very tasty. Went at about 12 and it was quite quiet.

Pretty standard Yo! Sushi. If you have been to Yo you know the taste is standard and pretty good. Some dishes were not available on the day of dining but depends on the day. Taste is great as usual. Parking at Arndale is costly. Better park outside and walk in. Better to call and make a reservation.

Automatic service charge on self service sushi after they entirely forgot drinks and took ten minutes to let us pay. After challenging this the server still entered the wrong price. Sushi tasted like it has been out for some time.

After reserving a table for myself and my pregnant wife, we were refused a table and instead offered the stools. We couldn't sit there as my wife is pregnant and when asked why we couldn't be seated at a table, we were told that they were being saved for larger parties, even though many tables only had 2 people. Their answer to this? Like it or leave. And so we were forced to leave numerous empty tables because of this ridiculous service. Highly disappointed.

  • 2/5 Nicolas H. 7 months ago on Google
Pretty underwhelming really. Staff were doing their best but still had a decent wait to get in. The sparse samples of food on the train didn't look very fresh and then the food we ordered was smothered in sauce and the meat was really chewy. Unfortunately not up to the standard I would expect from a sushi train

  • 2/5 Sarah M. 7 months ago on Google
The food was gross. Usually these chain sushi places are fine but the sushi here was really yuck. The rice was so gummy you couldn’t tell there were individual grains anymore. All the sushi was also weirdly warm. It’s also super expensive! If I hadn’t been starving I would have sent the food back and left.

  • 5/5 TF T. 1 year ago on Google
My first time at Yo Sushi! After ordering on the app, drinks/food is sent on the smart conveyor belt, stopping at your table. Neat! I got about 90% vegan dishes, and they were all delicious (see the pic I’ve uploaded). This is specific, but I absolutely love the nori. There were several things on the 99p Menu offering fantastic value.

  • 2/5 Andrew B. 1 year ago on Google
Really poor here the last few times. Normally a very good chain elsewhere. The rolls fell apart instantly, and rotten garnish. The pint that was served to the table (for £6) was about a third head, and it was met with displeasure when asked if it could be a full one. And belting when there was no toilet paper too afterwards! Ha. Will stick to other Yo! Sites, or Zumuku more likely when we want sushi now

  • 5/5 Jenny C. 8 months ago on Google
Surprisingly great plant based options. Chilled atmosphere. Just a shame you can not pay online as you can at so many other places.

First time visiting Yo Sushi and paid £4 via Too Good to Go. A bit annoyed that they changed the collection time several times but the magic bag compensated it. We received a TokYo! Mix and a Yo! Roll in a bag for one person. Fresh sushi and good quality of ingredients used for this price. It was filling for the both of us too. Would definitely come back again using Too Good to Go deal.

We booked in advance, turned up 10 mins early but had to wait an hour to be seated. Many people who had booked online were being turned away or put off queuing. They were really behind on turnover. I do expect this on a bank holiday but it wasn't explained how long we would have to wait - which is a bit disappointing. The staff were friendly and helpful but noone apologised for the wait. The traffic light system they are using is super effective at Trafford and Cheshire Oaks Yo! But unfortunately it wasn't great here. You have half a second to grab your food - my partner ended up chucking half his gyozas at some poor woman opposite, as we couldn't get it off the belt fast enough. We had a problem with food not arriving, staff resolved it as soon as we queried it, which I highly commend them on. It does seem cleanly and staff are on it with wiping down and keeping things clean. The food was good and it all arrived warm and fresh. Happy with it, especially with the eat out to help out deal.

  • 5/5 Rebecca T. 3 years ago on Google
Amazing place to get sushi and a real bargain with the eat out for longer promotion. Even without it, it's not too pricey. There's quite a few vegan options, one of which the katsu curry, way better than wagamama's. With the covid regulations you order and pay online, which is quite practical. Just a tip, the tap water is on the 'seasonings' section of the menu. I did not see it at first and regrettably got overpriced bottled water.

i decided to give this restaurant a quick try when i wasn't very hungry, their dishes are generally way too expensive in comparison to other japanese or chinese takeaways on the streets but it's understandable because it's in a shopping mall and also a very well known brand, so bought a couple of chocolate mochis for around £4.00 as far as i can remember and they were too delicious and worth the money, maybe i will try their sushi platters and post about my experience here.

Well to start I want to say that the food was outstanding and always is. My self and 2 friends have a weekly tradition to end out week with a yummy yo sushi. And most weeks we really enjoy ourself. However this week was just not acceptable, from the women at the entrance being arrogant and snarky. Then onto the chef telling us he isn't going to make us the food the way we like it. THIS KIND OF SERVICE IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
