This is by no means a 4 star restaurant. The history of this establishment and the unmatched meals that come from the kitchen are incredible! We have been here two nights in a row and would come back a third if we had the opportunity. It will now be my go to location for future visits!

The food was great, some surprising options like the chargrilled broccoli, which was delicious! Service was a bit hit and miss, distinct lack of eye contact from our server. Don't let that out you off though, the twists on the menu are worth it!

What a lovely hidden gem. From the outside the large mural hides a restaurant with great flavour and variety. Food is fresh and comes out when ready. We chose a selection of starters to try and none of them failed to deliver. The kulcha was really nice. The mains were also really nice, not oily. Highly recommended

Amazing charcoal food, huge portion and very attentive staff. House Malbec was sublime with our delicious mix grill. For sure a place to don't miss.

we had the garlic naan, butter chicken and chicken biryani. couldn’t really taste the garlic in the naan, but i can still say they were nice due to the softness and buttery taste of the bread. butter chicken was amazing, and the fragrant chicken biryani really reminds me of ones i had in my hometown. although the food were nice, the portions are relatively small given the prices. also, we felt like the wait was a little too long but it’s okay. the place has a cool vibe, visually appealing and nice music. would recommend to go if you haven’t!

Jheeeze!!! Food was on another level. We noticed how the waiting staff never asked anyone how the food was as they usually do, this is because they already know it's top tier food. Would highly recommend. @jkasmusic

A simple menu for curry house standards but executed very well. Wait times for food were quite long, with food delivered as it is cooked rather than in a batch. Service is polite and functional. A very solid restaurant that I would be happy to return to.

This place has excellent food. I think the flavors are incredible! I was a bit disappointed the last time I went to see they had removed some craft cocktails from the menu because in combination with the food it was awesome… but it’s still great even without the drinks. I strong recommend the Lamb Chops, they are very tasty, even if you aren’t big on Lamb, it’s very well flavored. Always get some garlic naan! And another favorite is the chicken tika! Parking can be tricky in the area but there is a paid parking lot right behind the Restaurant if you want to make it simpler :)

Food is excellent - a lot of it cooked over charcoal - in particular, the charred lamb chops were delicious. Broccoli starter is unusual and highly recommended! The biryani is also a must-eat. Service is a little weak and the menus a bit grubby - could try harder to smarten up - otherwise an easy 4/5. I will be back for more quality comfort food!

Stopped here on a work trip. Curry was superb, all the little bits too. A must visit.

Food portion sizes are abysmally small for the price you pay. The korma I ordered was bland and did not taste fresh, which you'd hope for at the price they charge for a basic curry. The manager tried to justify this by saying he can't control portion sizes, so who know what he manages, and was confrontational with no remorse. The restaurant itself is dark and dismal. Plus service charge on top of all of that. Much better places on the curry mile if you want a good curry and value for money.

Feels like a typical Indian restaurant in the middle of Manchester, food was great and service also good, the atmosphere when you enter to the Bollywood style music will take you away to India

Got a delivery from here and I don't know why it's taken so long for me to do so. Food was well packaged and absolutely amazing in taste. Will definitely have to check the restaurant out. You must try the butter chicken 🤤

Fantastic meal, such great depth of flavours across lots of different meals. There were 8 of us, and we enjoyed trying lots of different curries and starters. The charcoal broccoli was one of my favourites, and it was such a surprise to be blown away by a side dish. Reasonable prices and good and friendly service. Above all, exceptional food.

Food was great, customer service was quick and polite on a relatively busy Friday night. Brilliant overall atmosphere and if you haven't, definitely try the lamb chops!

I've been coming here for nearly 18 years plus from what I remember. I've always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We arrived when it opened at 5pm. We ordered beers, starters and two curries between us. Maybe a little expensive but the beers add up if you drink alcohol. You can see the cost and pictures for yourself. We had a great time with excellent service from the lovely lady. I would definitely recommend going. I can't fault the restaurant.

Lamb chops and chicken tikka lovely. Curries contain cheaper cuts of meat not breast or lamb (mutton). Expected 11/10 from social media, its good but not enough to not make me look at another up the road. Added a 10% service fee which despite service being good, I never agree with. Tips are discretionary even in America or Manchester! House Malbec is over priced.

The food is okay but nothing wow. Prices are quite expensive - would not recommend the mix grill starter as it was a small portion for the price. However, service & atmosphere is good!

Fantastic food. Very attentive staff. We went very soon after opening so quite quiet but by the time we left it was getting very busy and the atmosphere was building. Would definitely visit again.

Actually quite a decent nice place. I was a bit disappointed when I asked for an item to be made spicier to be told that it isn’t possible because they essentially can’t be bothered to do that. The butter chicken was good, my friend thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was tender and well marinated. Their chai was authentic but way too bitter with no sugar offered. The cake rusk was stale. I liked the atmosphere and the vibe. I gave this a high rating predominantly because of the lovely girls that work here that actually attended to us and made sure we were okay :)

Been here a few times over the years but first visit in 4 years. Still the best and with a new menu and new choices. Excellent food, service and atmosphere what's not to enjoy? Already planning next visit in a few weeks time

Lovely food and drinks fast friendly service too. Just expected a bit more from the options on the menu but what we ordered was lovely.

Best curry house in Manchester bar none. Quality ingredients, cooked with love, and great service. We've eaten both at the restaurant, which is very high end, and ordered online, and never had a dish which was less than a 9/10. Highly recommend the lamp chops, and tiger rolls as starters, and the butter chicken is absolutely sensational. The St Peter naans are top notch as well. Buy with confidence.

Really enjoyed our meal at Mughli! Very tasty food cooked to perfection. I just think the beer was a bit too much at £6.60 a pint. Even in Manchester I find that ridiculous, feels like they are taking advantage a bit compared to other Indian restaurants in the are, but that’s the only negative.

I had high expectations of this restaurant as it looks pretty cool from the outside but everything was so poor. We chose to come here over every restaurant in curry mile and man do we regret it. Pros: - Staff is really friendly and super quick Cons: - Food is not authentic, we ordered the korma and that sauce tasted like Sharwoods korma sauce in a jar with extra sugar. The sauce is not made at the restaurant that much is obvious - The potato chaat is not a chaat, it was fried potatoes with sauce. - The toilets were truly disgusting. One toilet was blocked with loo roll till the top, the other had no loo roll. It absolutely stank (I don’t think they have ventilation in the toilets). Please at least clean your toilets regularly. The photo is our food at the end of the meal, the only thing we ate fully was the bang bang chicken (also mediocre but we were starving), everything else we left because it was that bad.

With starters restaurant ambiance is super attractive and appealing. Food quality, quantity compare to price is not very friendly. They over charging for small quantity of food. Biryani is missing real essence of biryani masala, and ingredients. Not close to any authentic hydrabadi or Mumbai Biryani. Disappointed!

We ordered the bang bang chicken & leopard wrap for starters and the portion was good but the chicken was dry unfortunately. Had 2 chicken curries (lal murgh & a spinach based) together with pulao rice and a garlic naan. Sadly we had the same issue with the chicken particularly for the lal murgh. The portion was good and the service was exceptional but the flavour weren’t much to rave about. Hope they’ll take this review as an encouragement to improve as it is definitely a good place to dine at.
