If your looking for an authentic Indian experience, this is not your place. Let me start by saying the food is not bad, it’s just not authentic. No spice, bland and not enough flavour. Indian food is an experience. It should get your taste buds going. The Amritsar fish, well, if you had given this to a local in Punjab, they would probably laugh in your face. You know when your the only Indian in the place. It’s a shame because you look around and you wish you could tell everyone that if you think this is good….you haven’t seen nothing yet. Lamb chops were not tender but had flavour. Malai chicken was bland Lamb curry was tasty but the it was not lamb. It was not tender and melt in your mouth Aubergine curry was very bland. No flavour. Guntar chicken was amazing. Really rich vibrant sauce, and good level of heat. This was a dish I would go back to. Lamb biriyani was above average, good flavour and the lamb was more tender. Yes I understand it’s for a certain clientele but this is not a place that is worthy of its rewards. It’s food catered for the very mildest of pallets and I would not return.

Everything was delicious, great atmosphere and service (Credit to Evelyn). Just refrain from ordering the lobster. Before ordering it, I’ve asked the waiter what the weight of the lobster would have been, he said about 600/700 grams. I therefore expected a full lobster, instead they served about 50 grams worth of lobster mashed up and split between inside an old shell and a bowl, padded out with prawns and vegetables.

Very underwhelming first experience here. The staff were friendly but we had to wait a very long time to be seated, despite having a reservation. The food was very average, feels like it has been toned down for the Western palate. The drinks were good and service at the table was great, but generally feel that it was overpriced for very average Indian food.

*NATIONAL CURRY WEEK* What better way to celebrate then heading to @ashasmanchesteruk and enjoying authentic Indian food and culinary innovation in their beautiful restaurant. What we ate: MUSCAT GOSHT Boneless tender lamb cooked with clarified butter in a spicy, rich onion and tomato gravy. EMPERORS PLATTER A selection of whole lobster in it's shell with Kerala chilli garlic prawns, chicken malai kebab, aloo tikki, lamb chops, vegetable samosa and makhni sauce. DAL TADKA Yellow lentils tempered with cumin, onions, tomatoes & green chillies. MUSCAT GOSHT STORY "Sightseeing in the Sultanate of Oman, stopped for lunch at a small dhaba' and had the most wonderful lamb preparation. This is my presentation of that hot afternoon" 🔼🔼🔼 DEFINITELY A DISH TO TRY! We also got: Poppadoms, peshwari naan and garlic naan. Overall a beautiful setting, delicious food and a fab experience. Service was on point throughout the night. Asha's is located on Peter St in @fortysevenmanchester You can also dine @thepetermanmcr in the basement where they have a small bites menu created by Asha's.

This was a wonderful first time experience at Asha's in Manchester. Our waitress Anju was simply the best. Service with a smile all the time. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Looking forward to returning soon. I will be recommending family and friends try Asha's.

Not bad. Very filling. Lamb is a must order item. Lobster is not very impressive anyway. Only shrimp meat is inside but no lobster meat… i couldn’t really taste the lobster😅 what a shame

This restaurant is a highly recommended place to visit. The food is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is calm, relaxing and you can enjoy your meal in peace. When I visited we ordered the Emperors Platter which comes with Whole Tandoori Lobster in it's shell, Chilli Garlic King Prawns, Barrah, Seafood Seekh, Murg Malai & Tandoori Murg Tikka Kebabs. This meal is the one to try! A variety of dishes in one. When it comes to desserts, New York cheesecake is heavenly!! Absolutely delicious! I also ordered the Chilli chocolate tart which is a warm chocolate tart with a gooey chilli chocolate center served with a mango compote and homemade chilli ripple ice cream. Which is part of the signature dishes. Oh let me tell you how delicious it was. To desserts are must try desserts. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Customer service is excellent. Enjoyed the meal alot! Would definitely again!

Impressively delicious 👍🏻 First of all I have to say.. I’m not a fan of Indian cuisine but the foods here are so good that it lit up the night even more! We’re in Manchester to watch a game on the boxing day. Man U our team won 3:1! We decided to dine here because it’ll be quite too late to have a dinner back in London. We found it much better than our expectations! The place is nicely decorated. Friendly and well trained staffs. One thing that might be inconvenient is that the restrooms are downstairs but it’s sure very clean. Papadum is very good that I have to double the orders! All is good here. Very recommended!

Excellent, swift friendly service. The restaurant is beautiful inside and lots of space between tables. Food is excellent. Portion size is great. Quite often my stomach has often felt wanting in similar standard restaurants. Not at Asha's...my taste buds were satisfied, my stomach was satisfied, the best Indian meal I've had and the overall experience was great.

Excellent service in a very stylish setting. This definitely is not your run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant. Food is very good but portion sizes are rather small. I didn't give the restaurant 5 stars purely based on the fact that your bill can quickly add up... this doesn't reflect on the quality of the food or experience but maybe more on the value and the latter is subjective obviously.

We had an amazing evening with authentic Indian food and very warm staff. After a long time we could relish Indian vegetarian food, which tasted like Indian. With Ashaji's songs playing in the background, the entire environment became very nostalgi. Thanks @ASHASMANCHESTERUK

Amazing bar downstairs called The Peterman with a tasteful menu and recently renovated Venu which felt very cozy and stylish.

The food was delicious, and I do recommend going, but not for the tasting menu. We booked a 6 course tasting menu "with wine flight". The waiter stopped telling us what the dish was after the 2nd course, and there was no menu to give you a clue, either. The wine was not a wine flight, as it had not been paired by a Somelier. Again, the waiter stopped telling us what the wine was. There was also no description of the wine, and how it complimented the food. Constructive criticism would be: The guests should be given a tasting menu to read from. It doesn't matter so much then, if the waiter forgets to say what it is. Don't sell the package as "with wine flight", as it raises expectations. It should be sold as "with wine".

We came to Asha's as a last minute decision because our usual Indian restaurant in Manchester was closed on Mondays, but what a fabulous find Food was excellent and very generous portions, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even have their own beer We will have to divide our loyalties in the future as we will be returning here

We booked the 6 course taster menu and we’re not disappointed. Every course was excellent. A big thanks to Vishnu who looked after us and gave us the background and history to each dish. The different wines with each course is definitely worth the extra money and compliments the food well. We ate early on a week night so I’m sure the vibe would be livelier at weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff is splendid, really great customer orientation. Even though we had some minor inconveniences such as waiting time for our table and the food, the staff quickly made up for it by offering us free starters and a discount. Great service attitude! Would definitely recommend :-)

Very average Indian food at extremely high prices. Portions were small and service was OK if a little slow. I get that it's the Centre of Manchester but they'll need to improve if they're going to attract repeat business.

It was our first MICHELIN star restaurant experience. Honestly? It was divine, it was perfect, it was fantastic. Highly recommended, and next Sunday we will visit again. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF!!! ❤️

We booked dinner when visiting Manchester and really enjoyed the delicious food and beautiful decor. Unfortunately there were very limited options for dairy/gluten free on the menu, although the chef improvised a special and very tasty curry. We would recommend but if you have allergies do phone ahead in advance.

Food is superb beyond the average indian, with melting meats and flavours enhanced with buttery smoothness, slighly smoldering the spices. However, service lets the establishment down. Luckily they are minor and easily rectified. Out of 6 starter forks layed out, 3 have prongs were bent out of shape, making them unusable, needing replacement. Multiple mix up with sparking and still mineral water (twice). Wrongly labelled bottles. Not sure background music condusive to a relaxing dining experience.

The food was divine - honestly, mind blowing!! We came here for my partner's 30th - faultless!! Believe you me the service was even better, premium class - as upmarket as it is for our wallet, I have cemented this place in the (very short, picky!) List of favourite restaurants ❤️

My husband and I visited Asha's yesterday. The food is simply amazing!!! It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and Yogesh made us feel very welcome. If you are in and around Manchester please do visit, you won't be disappointed.

Good food, great presentation and an excellent dining experience. Rating 4 stars because I was expecting a bit too much on the taste of food, given the name it carries. The starters were a bit too dry. I have been here just once and liked most of the dining experience.

We went at around 5.30pm. the restaurant was quiet as expected. This was our first time visiting and the ambience was better than what we expected. The food was excellent, with the classics available as well as a few that are not, such as the grilled lobster. The service was exceptional. Attentive but not intrusive. I will definitely come back

I was at Asha's for dinner and must say everything was charming. The food , the service and the bar counter n the drinks. The ambiance was also good. Though it was extremely crowded , the service was quick I would say. I was tired of trying the westernized Indian foods in most Indian restaurants but this place was fabulous. The only suggestion I would have is for parking. It would have been better if there was parking facilities available for the customers. Overall enjoyed my dinner with my friends and had a good time. Look forward to dining here again !

My first time saw the restaurant pop up on my phone only one disappointment at first the staff didn't come over to our table to see if we were okay and if we need any help or to suggest a Pacific menu. They were all standing around the station. You asked some questions how much did we spend per person its was 5 of us so between us we spend £251.40. I can recommend all of your dishes because we all try each other food . But the special one for me is the shredded lamb instead of chicken. Score out of 10 is 90 well worth it

Great food one of the best Indian meals we’ve had. Has a lovely dining room - an elegant setting. Would have been 5 stars but the the service was just adequate nothing special.

The most amazing Indian! Now our favourite. Butter chicken was amazing. Reminded me of one I had years ago in New Zealand that I’ve never been able to beat, but this did! Lamb chops were great, paneer jalfreizi was full of flavour. Cannot wait to return. Thank you

We inadvertently booked their first night reopened. The service was spot on throughout the dinner. The restaurant looks great on the inside. We sat at the back which has some lovely lanterns above the tables. The menu was well organised and the team answered our few questions with ease. The food and wine were excellent. The food was full of flavour and we'll seasoned. I can still feel the tingle of spice! A great night all things considered. Will be happy to come again.

We had a large party and got a good cross section of the menu. The food was either very bland, burnt to the bowl (biryani), or totally overloaded with yoghurt. This was a mid afternoon booking so I appreciate it may not have been the A-team in the kitchen. The restaurant itself can also be a little tricky to find, look out for the small ground level sign otherwise you’ll walk right past it.

Very posh ambiance. Staff were friendly and accommodating. A little bit on the pricey side but it's worth every penny. Would come back again when i visit Manchester.

So the food here is very good indeed but it’s massively overpriced. There are restaurants in central Manchester of equal decor and quality of food at prices that are a fraction of Asha’s. That been said the cocktail bar is a welcome addition and the service is very good.

Loved the food.. good service. for some reason I found this place was better than the birmingham Asha’s

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
