The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely.

This one was quite a bizarre experience. We went in and waited to be seated, after a minute I asked someone can we just take a seat or do we need to be seated, they replied give us a minute. So we did, someone else came in and walked straight passed us and started asking the waitress questions and then the waitress starts to seat them. We thought ok just forget it, no need to get frustrated. So we waited. And waited. And waited. (The waitress was now taking their order, we'd been standing at the door for 5 minutes!!!) Until the guy came from behind the bar to seat us. He pulled out a long list like 30 items which were unavailable. We were still like ok, that's fine. When going through the list of what's unavailable it was just a printout of unavailable items in alphabetical order not even separating it into food and drinks. After deciphering what was available, we decided on just starters. Food was absolutely amazing. Like really really good. Just annoyed at the service. Really does hope it improves. As a business you can make a lot more money through covers if you provide a better service, maybe worth investing in some training because service is a diabolical at the moment. 2 stars for now, we will be back on soon to do another review with lots more photos of different dishes and hopefully will get a better service.

Excellent service. Great ambiance. Service was spot on. Served by Maria who made our visit memorable. No Halal options though but amble vegan and vegetarian options are available. We were served complementary lemonade shots which was a good gesture. Keep it up team. Will visit again soon!

My daughter and i went for lunch here yesterday. It was really nice, the food was perfect and the staff were all great too. Would recommend. The children's menu was fab also she had veg sticks and dip for starter and pasta for her main followed by a banana brownie and strawberries.

Food was great! Pasta and pizza are tasty. Service was okay but one waiter split over my drinks… I asked for a refill yet it never came.

The restaurant wasn't too busy but it's defeat should have been. Customer service was excellent, the food was even better. Both mains and side order of folded garlic bread with mozzarella were amazing, even better that it all came out very quickly also. Look forward to the next time I get to eat here.

Great restaurant in an alright location. Went in for a date night on a Sunday Night: service was friendly and quick, food was splendid and the atmosphere was incredible. Will be looking to return at some point. Only downside is that it's in Pic Gardens, but I guess that's out of their control

Food is good, although it could be spicier. I had the nduja pizza and the brownie. The brownie was very good, and the warm. The beers are not great though.

Nice place friendly staff the food was pretty good its not bad for an Italian restaurant however, I'm half Italian so I can't give it 5stars I have tasted better but I have to say it was nice inside and the food was good quality.. The food arrived fairly quickly too and inside it was spacious and comfortable. I shall return.. Its probably the best place in Piccadilly gardens for sure..

Great Italian food available here especially the not-to-be-missed Tiramisu that literally melt in our mouth and taste enhanced with Bailey liquor pour. We were a little unhappy only when given a table right in the middle of all other patrons and the walkway just because we did not make any reservation. The restaurant was not full on that evening.

What a great selection of delicious dishes. We arrived at a nice time when it was a bit quieter and our server was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious, the service top notch and prices fair. My only complaint is that I didn't get to try more than main 😜

Huge ask Italian restaurant situated central Manchester with great views, internal decor and a large variety of pastas, starters, some popular pizza items. we ordered pollo del casa and rissoto. both arrived super hot, too hot to eat, and I think perhaps the kitchen/waiters should consider letting it cool slightly before serving to the table as it's difficult to just sit and wait for the food to cool down and so I gave in to temptations a couple of times burning my mouth trying to eat my piping hot pasta. overall food was tasty but let down by the fact that both dishes had hard stalks of herbs which were inedible. we had to pick it out of our mouths every time we came across some. when waiting for the bill, some staff members lack eye contact and awareness on ensuring tables were attended too. overall a decent experience which can be improved upon with better guidance.

The welcome staff were nice and the restaurant wasn't overly busy but not a dive either. It was nicely decorated and clean as far as I could see. One server didn't seem like he wanted to be there though. Everything is done through an app now, which makes ordering easier and faster, but it does lack that human touch we're used to pre-covid. The food was mostly lovely and the house still lemonade was really nice. It wasn't too expensive either. Overall it was a very nice experience and I'd recommend it.

Centrally located, this branch can get quite busy especially with the events in the gardens, so you might be best to book. Great Italian food and very tasty. The lasagne was the comfort food I needed after an exhausting day.

I had some Tesco clubcard points to use so opted for a rewards partner voucher for Ask Italian, as we hadn't been here before. I probably picked the busiest day possible in the area (oops!) - a massive crowd outside the door was watching the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 final on a big screen in Manchester city centre. Squeezing our way through to the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by a host at the door and indoors was actually pleasantly quiet (I think most were outside watching the big screen). The food was good, service impeccable, and a lovely meal out all in all. We shared a starter (Chicken Lecca-Lecca - Breaded chicken fillets served with a spicy tomato dip and garlic mayo). That was beautifully cooked - juicy, crispy and tender, well flavoured. We had a pasta dish each for mains (Penne Pollo Della Casa - Seasoned chicken breast, mushrooms and pasta baked in a creamy mushroom and white wine sauce and Linguine con Frutti di Mare - King prawns, mussels, clams and squid in a rich tomato sauce). Both pleasant, though possibly could've done with a bit more seasoning. Also sadly no clams in sight in my pasta dish, but there was plenty of everything else, portions were good and the prawns were gorgeous. I would lose one star (half if I could) purely down to the lack of clams and seasoning on the mains. For dessert my partner enjoyed the Biscoff cheesecake (delish - I pinched a bite) and I opted for a cappuccino. All in all a lovely meal out!

Fabulous atmosphere. We enjoyed a long lunch with beautiful wine. We werent pressured at all to speed up and the waitresses were very attentive. Food was delicious. Facilities were really clean. Overall the price was very reasonable. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.

I normally love ask Italian but I tried the new brisket pasta, it was just sloppy. It all sorted mushed together there was no texture. I do recommend the bolognese though. The staff are always amazing.

The 3rd time I have been this week. The vegetarian food is very good and the service is spot on. Corona has really killed off most businesses trying to do my big to help the economy. Such a shame these Businesses are struggling. The food is good for both a light lunch or a dinner out with the family. The desserts are really nice.

Lovely atmosphere and not too busy! They've a QR code you can scan on the menu for ordering or go the traditional route. They do a great job of asking about allergies and the food is delivered timely. I got the Manzo Piccante and the N'duja & Cheese dough bites. Overall both dishes were good but could have used a bit more flavor. If they had salt and pepper at the table it would have helped. I would still come back and reccomend for good Italian food.

A fairly good place for some takeaway food or a reliable dine-in experience. Staff are quite professional and helpful and the place is clean and well organised. Nice they gave free cheese as well and the food was nice and hot.

We recently visited family at the end of Nov and popped in ASK Central . The food was really good, especially the Tiramisu with Baileys poured over the top! Maria our server was fabulous, really friendly and efficient. Made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend ASK Central.
