5/5 Chantelle H. 1 year ago on Google
I
had
some
Tesco
clubcard
points
to
use
so
opted
for
a
rewards
partner
voucher
for
Ask
Italian,
as
we
hadn't
been
here
before.
I
probably
picked
the
busiest
day
possible
in
the
area
(oops!)
-
a
massive
crowd
outside
the
door
was
watching
the
UEFA
Women’s
EURO
2022
final
on
a
big
screen
in
Manchester
city
centre.
Squeezing
our
way
through
to
the
restaurant,
we
were
greeted
warmly
by
a
host
at
the
door
and
indoors
was
actually
pleasantly
quiet
(I
think
most
were
outside
watching
the
big
screen).
The
food
was
good,
service
impeccable,
and
a
lovely
meal
out
all
in
all.
We
shared
a
starter
(Chicken
Lecca-Lecca
-
Breaded
chicken
fillets
served
with
a
spicy
tomato
dip
and
garlic
mayo).
That
was
beautifully
cooked
-
juicy,
crispy
and
tender,
well
flavoured.
We
had
a
pasta
dish
each
for
mains
(Penne
Pollo
Della
Casa
-
Seasoned
chicken
breast,
mushrooms
and
pasta
baked
in
a
creamy
mushroom
and
white
wine
sauce
and
Linguine
con
Frutti
di
Mare
-
King
prawns,
mussels,
clams
and
squid
in
a
rich
tomato
sauce).
Both
pleasant,
though
possibly
could've
done
with
a
bit
more
seasoning.
Also
sadly
no
clams
in
sight
in
my
pasta
dish,
but
there
was
plenty
of
everything
else,
portions
were
good
and
the
prawns
were
gorgeous.
I
would
lose
one
star
(half
if
I
could)
purely
down
to
the
lack
of
clams
and
seasoning
on
the
mains.
For
dessert
my
partner
enjoyed
the
Biscoff
cheesecake
(delish
-
I
pinched
a
bite)
and
I
opted
for
a
cappuccino.
All
in
all
a
lovely
meal
out!
