It was very inexpensive to eat here and toast was unlimited. However, the sausages were so dry and not edible. And the baked beans was tasteless. I would not go there again, although the waiter was friendly and helpful. It was nice to sit outside though.

The place is in a really nice location in media city(Google localisation is wrong btw). They offer free salad bar and multiple food options. The staff is super nice and friendly too. The drinks were good too

First class service from the moment we arrived until we left by the staff. As a family we have been to quite a few Harvester restaurants over the year and this one although not as large as some others was excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the menu has a good variety of items to choose from and are were cooked to our liking. Drinks menus are interesting especially the Gin one. It was not very busy while we were there but I would be happy to return at any time as I'm sure the service would be the same.

Service amazing! I would say the food quality is high ! Lots to choose from the menu ! Menu is easy to read our waiter explained everything as our son was asking questions! For a chain it does deliver ! Why 3 stars then ! I asked for a quite table in the corner or outside! The answer was no we are not using them ! Then right in front of me they filled them which was rude of the woman who said no ! Ethan a top waiter make sure you treat him well as good staff are hard to find !

Definitely a five star for me and my sister!!! We had a lovely breakfast earlier, food are fresh and nice, plus well done to the staff and service crew of Harvester! Was not able to get the name of the friendly and attentive pretty staff who attended our orders earlier today, she is very efficient and welcoming! Keep up all the good work👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We went with two young children for the breakfast with Santa event. Was a lovely morning. Personalised invites were given to the children, and then when ready they could go and see Santa who gave them each a gift, and some chocolate and they could also check the nice list where their names would be. Food and service was great and efficient. Didn't wait long for it to arrive and was hot and fresh. We had both the full English, eggs Benedict and pancakes. All were lovely

We came for brunch and everything on the plate was grilled to perfection. The pancakes are the good ol' American style, fresh, fluffy and delightfully sweet. The steak was slightly overcooked for 'medium' though! Appreciation for Danielle who served us the food and refilled our drinks, her cheerfulness is surely the cherry on top of the cake. Thank you! ⭐

We were served by the most wonderful Megan. .from entering the restaurant with lots of gluten free queries from myself we confidently sat down and was attended to. Nothing was you much trouble for her .Full attention and service given..absolutely a lovely person 😊 Thankyou Food was tasty. Hot and well presented and a fair price . Love the additional salad bar . List of allergens was available so I could eat safely 😋

Popped in for a quick dessert and drink on a Sunday evening. The dessert was a treat and excellent value. The cocktails were on a 2 for £11 deal and pretty tasty for the price. It was a very family atmosphere, so good if you have children with you, but can be a bit noisy at times. Our server, Fran, was lovely. She was very festive, looked after us well, and made us feel so welcome.

First time here, I loved the ambience and food. My only issue was how long it took for the food to get ready and the staff responding quickly to requests. I’m guessing it was because that day was a busy day with lots of people in as well so maybe that’s why service was slow. I’ll definitely be going back regardless ♥️

  • 5/5 Gary C. 2 years ago on Google
excellent visit. Many thanks to our amazing server Eliaine who made the whole meal a great experience. Didn't have the wine we wanted so Elaine brought a selection for my partner to try. Salad bar delivered to our table in a sharing plate. salmon was tasty and tender, and the katsu chicken burger was superb. Highly recommended this place. and look out for Elaine. such outstanding service. Harvester management if you have a staff reward scheme Elaine deserves all it has to offer.

Well I would just like to say how much of a lovely place this is . The staff are very welcoming and friendly. An extra special shout out to Elaine the lady that served us. She is a credit to your team . Like I said all the staff that we had the pleasure to meet were all pleasant and friendly but this lady brightens up the day . I'm sure there is not just us that would say this either . We came on Saturday 13th November about 3pm. Our food was lovely and this lady couldn't do enough for us . Please could you pass on this to all your staff. It's nice to see a happy work place . Thanks again .

Regularly eat here on football day’s. Last visited on November 6th. Had the ultimate break which was great value for money. Was served by Elaine who’s service was top notch , as always. She’s goes the extra mile , nothing is too much trouble for her and is friendly and polite as well. Five stars for bot food and service.

Nice and clean place, visited on a busy Sunday, got seated in few mins. Service was fine, food was good and huge serving, but nothing special. The salad bar was a nice surprise and it was kept clean and organised.

Love it here! Very clean & tidy, food came out within good time, very hot and all tasted amazing. Can't fault anything. Nice and chilled atmosphere. Our 5 stars also goes to ELAINE, wow, what a beautiful soul she is! Fantastic with us and our children from start to finish, went above and beyond for our whole stay and couldn't have done more for us. An absolute credit to the Harvesters group xxx

Absolutely great place and fabulous staff. We were served by Elaine (apologies if I spelt that wrong) who was an top notch service! She had great banter looked after us all extremely well, made sure we were happy and made us laugh a few times. She even helped take a group photo of us all having our Christmas Dinner. This place is always one the best/favourites for a few years and it's always down ti great food good prices and excellent staff. Looks better now since its been refurbished! (as not had chance to go with covid and work) And some friends who couldn't come are already asking us in group chat when the next one is as they now want to come!

Not a great experience. The salad bar was not stocked, therefore limited choice. Tables and floor were dirty. Service was slow the food looked good but was rather bland.

  • 5/5 Lyndsey W. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful family meal, food was lovely fresh and tasty, not just your average pub grub you seem to get in some places. Staff was very friendly and polite. Made us feel very welcome. One team member to mention in particular was Sarah who went above and beyond to help us out with any questions we had with regards to the menu, and was fantastic with my children, what a lovely member of the staff team. Overall a fantastic experience and would definitely be going back very soon. Thank you harvester!

It's Friday lunch time and my second time here, attracted mainly by their free unlimited salad with every main dish. The restaurant is packed and manpower looks tight. Tired and overwhelmed staff rushing about. We had a bit of wait before Ethan managed to find us a nice table and quickly clean it up for us. Ethan is as busy as other staff but he tries his very best on everything, getting us the salad, and attending to other details. That's professionalism and deserve a good credit. I can see another staff (a tall big guy) look unhappy and try to avoid work. Maybe the restaurant management can look at why this staff is unhappy and help him sort things out. We spent less than £60 for three and it's good value. Good place for a family eat-out but maybe better to come on Monday to Thursday.

A lot of the items on the menu and salad bar weren't available but food was good. Salad bar is no longer self serve so you need to get a staff member to help you get the salad. I would've just given the restaurant a 3 star but our waitress, Katie was extremely friendly and nice so I gave the restaurant an extra star because of her. Katie was very polite and always had a smile on when serving us - thank you for the lovely service 😀

  • 4/5 Hen S. 1 year ago on Google
Really good service. The waitress was very attentive and offered us a box for our leftovers. The food portions were very good, especially the mixed grill. The food itself is a bit plain. The salmon could have done with a bit more seasoning. I would definitely revisit if I'm in the area

Fantastic dinner after a long drive, our server was amazing, very friendly and gave us plenty of time to order our food - she even gave us a coin so our boy could use the Chicken House 😃🐣 I had the Dirty Bird burger which was HUGE and delicious, my partner had chicken & ribs which looked incredible. Not forgetting the amazing salad bar - blue cheese sauce 😋😋

  • 4/5 Tim P. 1 year ago on Google
Elaine was lovely - honest, open, friendly! She went above and beyond to let us know that there would be a fishcake delivery when we were disappointed that it wasn't in stock - she advised us to start on the salad bar and our starters first! Perfect advice! Then, when our food arrived, she arranged it nicely on the table and took photos of us and the food from different angles for us - including climbing up on a stool! The food was flavoursome and hot which is always a bonus. The salad was standard buffet style with great sauces, but the white bread rolls were perfectly firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Starters were average, but the fishcake and the cheese pastry were delicious! Beef burger was overdone unfortunately. Waffle dessert was a hearty portion and tasty - possibly a bit too sweet though! Appreciated the individual toilets and the cleanliness was decent. Overall, food surprised me after not going for years... Which means that my expectations were low!

Service to start was o.k. and then as more customers appeared it became more haphazard, Eggs benedict, muffins no attempt to toast/lightly grill, bacon very very salty, sauce was tasteless and egg was boiled (had been microwaved as scorching hot). Breakfast = Egg and Bacon same as above, had to ask for toast and then wait to flag someone (hungover staff member) for another coffee, gave up on asking again for brown sauce. Bit of a shambles and food very poorly cooked! 😢

  • 3/5 Beth R. 1 year ago on Google
Not the best, really nice food but absolutely terrible service. Quite quiet when we went and plates from starters and mains were left the entire time (over 2 hours) staff didn't seem that bothered to pick up even after serving next courses.

  • 5/5 Kerianne J. 1 year ago on Google
The food was absolutely incredible Jamie made the gammon to perfection. It tasted incredible. The waiter Elaine couldn’t do enough for us, grabbing our refillable drinks and even offering us stuff in replacement of sides we didn’t like. The service was very fast and the food arrived perfect. One of the best harvester experiences I’ve had. Would definitely visit again when coming to Manchester.

I had the ckn, bacon waffles with maple syrup, and the pulled pork loaded fries. It was delicious 😋 couldn't eat it all, so I took it home n finished it later 😂 great service, we sat outside with a view of the lowry theatre n the river Irwell in the distance.

We ordered unlimited breakfast with a little of everything. Sausage and harsh browns are highlight while bacon is a bit salty and black pudding is ok. The unlimited drinks applies for black coffee and tea only. Service is fast and attentive.

My parents came to visit and so I booked us a table here, knowing that Meerkat Meals offers about 25% off the bill. I went for the Triple Combo: rotisserie chicken/southern fried chicken/Cajun chicken. This came with gravy and sweetcorn, and I swapped my regular fries for sweet potato ones. It was a satisfyingly filling meal. My Mam and Dad were happy with theirs, too. Service was friendly and pretty quick- we’d visited the Salad Bar before our mains arrived which was well stocked and fresh. Since it’s so close to The Lowry, I’d recommend booking a table rather than just rocking up, else you’ll be battling with the pre-theatre diners!

It wasn't great, he forgot my coke . When it came he brought the bill even though I was still eating. Which it turns out was for another table who then had to wait twenty minutes to get their bill

Pros: Brilliant staff Great food They let me drink champagne with a starw Cons: The place needs and i mean desperately needs updating. A bit of a dive. The staff are very accommodating, they never got our order wrong. I must say the staff member Elaine probably deserve 5 stars for herself.

We have been here twice recently and the food has been spot on. I must also add just how friendly the staff were and every aspect of social distancing and hygiene are adhered to. My grandson who is autistic had a mini crisis and Elaine who looked after our table was fantastic with him. She went out of her way to help call and distract him and a full crisis was averted. Cannot recommend Harvester highly enough.

  • 3/5 John J. 4 years ago on Google
We popped in luckily before a rush came. Waited what seemed a long time for someone to take our order. The gentleman whom showed us to our table was very friendly. Food was average and we ordered from the set lunch menu - however the lemon sponge was not available and the other two options I don’t like. Would have been nice to have an alternative. The Starter I had was breaded mushrooms, which burnt my lip as I bit into it (hot watery substance from the mushrooms). The Classic burger I had however was very meaty and fresh. The salad bar was limited compared to other Harvesters I have been to and there was a lot browned lettuce. Disabled toilet had ‘used’ toilet paper on the floor which I found disgusting.

Update 16/12/2019 Just had to update this review. I've tried dozens of breakfast outlets over many months all over the city. For me, Harvester are my breakfast champions. Nothing beats them for value, professionalism, or ambience. You have to try a self designed breakfast at Harvester to believe it. Ace Place. Ace staff. Harvester for breakfast and most delighted with everything. Cleanliness, atmosphere, quality of shop fitting and furnishing, nothing dissapointing; even the all important staff measured up to their tasks. To the truckers in Trafford Park. This is the breakfast to boast about. Come with your tongues hanging out and leave with your bellies bursting; it's that good. Don't turn up like a tramp in your high viz vest. Show some dignity and smarten up, the place deserves it.

Very good service however, we were in a party of 11 which they struggled to accommodate suitably. I had the Chilli non Carne which for around £11 was more like a kids portion. I'm not a particularly fast eater but I think it was gone within less than 10 mins. Not much rice either. Very poor value overall. Plus points. Good service and the red devil sauce. Apart from those, unforgettable.

Food came cold, my burger was cold, my chips were cold, the kids meals came after the adults meals which means the kids had to wait longer for their food which also came cold. The corn on the cobs were awfully small. Overall it was an awful experience i would not recommend. Asked the staff multiple times to give us our food because we could see it waiting in the side as they waited to give it to us l. Food wasted because of how cold it was/ poor sevice. The manager and staff workers/waitresses were kind and apologised for the quality of the food and service. However, it shouldn't be like that in the first place. The manager and waitress was lovely and understandable it was just the time/waiting for the food resulting in it being cold. The food itself was nice but it would of been even better if it wasn't cold. Also i orderd the big fries and the fries were the same as my mums who orderd the regular. The chicken wings were lovely and the onion rings.

Good venue for a quick family meal. The food was good, really nice and well cooked. The service though.... Wow! Our server (think her name was Elaine) was amazing with our young kids, really patient, helpful and she gave us some pointers about the local area. Recommend the ribs and the skewers looked good (didn't have them but food envy!) Really made it a great option for a family meal when out and about.
