Recently stayed at Premier Inn Portland Street. Dark, dingy needs a good re vamp. Was only in there from 1 in the morning till check out at 12 dinner. So didn't complain!!. It was fit for purpose. Manchester birthday weekend - so after reading reviews thought Premier inn Piccadilly sounded good. Breath of fresh air. Room light and immaculate. Bar open as late as you would want. Friendly professional staff. Well up to my expectations. Thank you

Really enjoyed our stay here. My husband and I came to Manchester to watch a match at old Trafford and decided to stay here. It was a lovely place with a nice bedroom and turn down service. The meals were also reasonably priced and quite good. Only issue was that there's no room service, so we had to go down to the reception to make our food orders, and then go back downstairs to get the food, which was a bit of an inconvenience. But all in all a really nice place to stay.

Excellent Stay, really good location. I stayed one night in a standard double. The staff here are all fantastic, and there is always someone around if you need something. If that staff member is busy with someone, there is always someone else to ask. A very well staffed hotel. The hotel benefits from a secure luggage area so you can stow your bags safely before or after your stay. There is a really good restaurant and bar. The breakfast was really nice and very good value for money, as were the drinks from the bar. The main reception area is really modern and inviting and so are the rooms which even had HDMI sockets in the wall for the TV which was a nice touch. The bed was really comfortable, shower powerful and the hotel was spotlessly clean. This hotel is ideal if you are traveling to or from Manchester Piccadilly rail station. You are also able to check-in early from 11 or check-out late up to 2pm. I made use of this (it is £10 for each option). I am looking forward to using this hotel again in the future, I had an excellent stay.

Obviously it's not a 5 star hotel but I'll certainly give it a 5 star rating. Room was clean and spacious enough. Bed was comfy. Shower was hot and powerful. Every staff member I spoke to was pleasant and accommodating. Had a drink downstairs before a night out, 2 for £10 cocktails was a nice bonus between 5-7pm. Breakfast was everything you'd expect from a hot buffet, absolutely no complaints from me and I'd definitely stay again.

Recently refurbished plenty of additional seating if you're looking to have breakfast as a walk-in guest. Hot breakfast nicely cooked, help yourself coffee stations and good choice of continental eats.. porridge is excellent btw! Staff are just so accommodating and friendly. Super value for money too

As an ex hotelier myself, there were classic cleaning errors in the room - the kettle was dusty and had water left in it - the bed side tables were dusty but also black so a nightmare to keep dust free - there were tea splashes down the wall by the bed However, I know how long these chain hotels give their housekeepers to change the rooms over and it's not long enough. PLUS'S The bedding smelt of fabric conditioner and was beautifully soft, you don't normally get that in chain hotels. The feeling when you entered the hotel was warm and welcoming and I LOVE the look that they are now giving to their social areas. The staff were very friendly, especially Annie who served me my evening meal, she told me it was her first night out on the floor and you would never have guessed!! The food was of good quality and very tasty, their meal deal package is great value especially if you are there on business like me. £24.99 per day for unlimited breakfast and a 2 course dinner including a drink, you can't go wrong.

Stayed here at the weekend and couldn't recommend it enough. The hotel has recently been renovated, the lobby has a modern fun vibe and the rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel bar served amazing cocktails- very reasonably priced. A big thank you to the staff Noah, Jonathan and Molly who looked after us so well. Very friendly welcoming staff- will definitely be back.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't regret it. Our go to place to stay in Manchester. Staff are very helpful and the location is perfect for shopping and going out. We park in the carpark opposite and never have any issues. Tried the new upgraded rooms this time and they were also worth the extra money

Although a budget hotel, you expect a certain level of service. On night one I waited 45 minutes after being seated in the restaurant for my starter to arrive! After another 45 minutes waiting for the main course, I walked out! I would have complained if a member of staff was available! There were 6 people in the restaurant.Day two: bliss....hot food served quickly. Day 3: long wait continued.

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. We booked the premium room and were delighted that we were on the top floor. The views are good, staff were super friendly when we lost our room key, and the breakfast was good. The bed in the premium rooms are super comfy! The room was cheap in comparison to what we got! Would definitely recommend.

I'd been booked into a Premier Plus Double for a couple of nights whilst working nearby. Decent enough greeting, during which I was warned about the building work between 8:00 & 18:00 - this didn't affect me as I was at work during these times - & told that my room wouldn't be cleaned during my stay but I could request additional tea & coffee supplies straight from reception. My room was on the top floor, & a bit larger than a normal one, with enhanced wi-fi thrown in - on the first night this wasn't working. I'm not a nit-picking type of guy, but I found hairs on a chair & on the shower head - not terribly reassuring given that most hotels tell you they have enhanced cleaning procedures in action. The TV was very slow to respond to the remote & mysteriously turned itself on at 01:30 on both days I was there... Hot breakfast was cooked to order & the new vegan sausages are amazing, but the waiting staff weren't anywhere to be seen when I arrived at the 'wait here to be seated' desk - not good. Think I'll look at an alternative hotel the next time I'm working in Manchester.

Room wasn't the nicest, but clean and functional, which at the end of the day is what you're paying for. Breakfast was good with food refreshed regularly. The staff were friendly and helpful.

All the staff was brilliant i highly recommend staying here and i will be again. The service was great, the rooms and facilities was great. The food was good and have a good variety of choice. My only bad experience staying here was how under staffed they was, the team worked tirelessly and deserve the high praise they are receiving but there was times we had to wait for service has the staff was busy elsewhere.

For a budget hotell this one is great, it's not even 5min walk from the train station and then within 10min of all the shopping and northern quarters. Good size of rooms, clean, nice beds, good service from staff. Will definitely come back!

Having stayed here a few times, this is a nice revamp. But unless you have all your own booking details on you, you will have to checkin at the bar. Food is very poor, even when you put your plate the opposite side of the table, the staff walk passed and look at it as though they don’t want to know. I had the sirloin and I can best describe it as microwaved end of life meat that tasted like……… On the other hand, I love the guest social area, where you can get tea, coffee, milk, sugar, ironing board and also dispose of some of your waste. You can also get extra towels if you need them.

Very poor options at breakfast for gluten free. If you want a continental breakfast the only option is gluten free toast and yogurt. They had run out of gluten free bread and simply said, will ok will refund you. I had £2 refunded. Their response was, sorry nothing we can do. My view, is that’s not really good enough

Very nice hotel. Less than 10 minute walk to the town centre. Parking across the road which isn't part of the hotel but they do discount your stay. 48 hours came to £34 but after validating in the hotel it came to £22. Very clean hotel, very nice staff and a very chilled area for drinks and food. Probably one of the best Premier Inns I've stopped at. Next time I'm back in Manchester this will be my first choice.

Great spot - would stay again. Parking literally across the road and discount received when leaving. Check in / our kiosks were easy to use but there were still (very pleasant) staff available should you need assistance. Clean and quiet rooms, all secure with key card access throughout the hotel. Simple setup for breakfast, everything as expected. Exactly what you need for a weekend break in Manchester.

Absolutely amazing hotel, I stopped in the Plus room on the 10th floor. Very quiet room. Hotel is very handy if you arrive by train as its near Manchester Piccadilly railway station. the plus room had a fridge with complimentary bottles of water. The room was clean and modern. Definitely stop in this hotel if coming to Manchester again, Loads better than the Portland street one

Enjoyed our visit to Manchester Picadilly Premier Inn. Very friendly staff. Lovely bedroom & bathroom. I took a star off because of one little issue... the edge of the bath was quite high which, for an older person, made getting in to the shower a bit awkward and getting out almost precarious. Other that that, a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

This is our 3rd time staying here. Very good location, walkable distance from Manchester City centre. There are enough parking space in front of the hotel building - not free. The reception area is pretty good. We enjoyed a few drinks there. The room is usual Premier Inn room. Always the same everywhere. One negative thing happened this time was there was used bath towel hanging in our room. Otherwise it was okay experience!

Excellently situated hotel. 5 mins walk from the train station. Right in the centre of the city. A perfect base to explore Manchester, rooms where clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent every morning with a wide selection available. All staff very friendly and helpful 5*

Great spacious double room, the coloured lights are a nice touch. Very close to train station, 5 min walk to Picadilly Gardens. Only thing missing for me is the folding luggage table, even though I'm young I can't bend down or get up off the floor easily. And as nice (and rare) as it is to have aircon, I can't turn it off without it kicking back on every 10 mins and at full blast.

Stopping here whilst going to watch Peter Kay, rooms nice and clean. Good helpful staff, nice lounge bar and decent selection of food and drink. We are still here and will update as we leave, but so far so good, definitely recommend 👌

Excellent Premier Inn - it's had an overhaul since I last stayed here and it's massively improved. Great showers in the rooms and the new bar and breakfast area is great. Brilliant service at breakfast. Well done!

I’ve stayed a few times in premier inn hotel in different cities, but very disappointed with this one in Manchester. To be honest reception wasn’t helpful in the evening time. I’ve had bath in my room all the time, and was happy with that, unfortunately this one is with shower and as I have been told by referring to terms & conditions, I should have requested room with bath 48 hours in advance!!!! The manager (Alex) was really helpful and address the issue in the morning. This premier inn hotel not recommended at all.

Perfect location, clean and comfortable rooms. Great customer service, friendly receptionist and bartender. Would stay again! Knocked one star off due to the slow (free) wifi, did not pay for premium. Avoid doing important video calls here. Hotspot didn’t help the video call when in my room. Notably, the walls are a bit thin but that is not exclusive to this branch of course.

Wonderful location just 3 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station and 10 minutes walk into the shopping district. We stayed in a Premier Inn Plus room which was so worth the extra few pounds. Clean and very comfortable bed and bedding. Highly recommended

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This web site will compare countless hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! Lovely staff and clean room, beautiful view and not far from city centre. My daughter fell off the bed and it was an hour before checkout. I had to take her to an and e and the staff were so nice, they offered to hold the room for us until we got back from the hospital. I am so great full and will be staying with them again soon

This hotel is in an excellent location and is one of the more Modern Premier Inn buildings. The rooms are of a good size and often the prices are very agreeable. Unfortunately, and this is the same of Many Premier Inns, the shower leaves a lot to be desired, with a single fixed spout over the top of a bath. A better shower experience would be nice.

Fantastic location. The room was very quiet which was very surprising considering the nonstop traffic below. The room was very clean. Most importantly, the 12pm checkout was a great addition to our stay. I'd recommend a few cocktails at the bar downstairs. There is a happy hour between 5-7pm. It seems like the bar area was newly refurbished and it was very pleasant to sit there.

Wow Fantastic Place, Coming in from NZ on long flights we were greeted by lovely warm friendly Liz and totally taken care off straight away into our room making sure we had everything and explained the cleaning process to us clearly. The room is everything you could ask for and more, warm and roomy, clean comfortable bed, great bathroom and the electrical power points and usb charging placed perfectly with many outlets. Nothing is to be faulted here and its only a 4 minute easy walk/find from the train station piccadilly. Plus friendly staff. Five star service. Housekeeper very friendly and very helpful.

Honestly not the best premier Inn I've stayed in. I was up there for a work party so it was only a short stay. Can't say anything bad about the place at all. Just wasn't the best that's all. Maybe just because of the size, and layout of the building. Great staff who was incredibly friendly and helpful though!

This place was beautiful and the service was great. The check - in computers check in 6 rooms at a time and there is seating so you dont have to stand around. I had to ask for some help with sending a package and a lovely young man did everything he could to assist me while at the same time trying to serve breakfast. The service 100% made up for the rooms being a little worn. For the price it was absolutely the best place to stay ever!

Great experience at this hotel in Dale Street. Located in centre of Manchester with a car park directly opposite the front doors. 11 pound for overnight parking if staying at the hotel super value for money. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious, clean and have plenty of space. Wardrobe and draw space are useful and ideal for short stays. Longer stays and you may find hanging space a premium. Bathroom was very clean spacious and modern. Restaurant had just been refurbished and breakfast was wonderful. The staff were all extremely helpful, polite and customer focussed. I had a great stay and will be returning to this hotel.

Great place to explore the Northern Quarter of Manchester. Staff are very welcoming on arrival. It's a self service check in system but staff are on hand to assist. Place is very clean throughout with bar and restaurant on site with quite decent prices. Rooms are excellent for the price with shops bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The tram stop is only a 5/10 minute walk if you want to explore surrounding Manchester. There is no parking but there is a car park directly opposite which you pay about £10 per day .

Stayed here in the beginning of July. Had a room for 2 with breakfast. From Piccadilly trainstation it's just a few minutes walk, so quite good to reach by food. It's on the side of the city centre, but still silent in the room. Reception was okay. There are 2 elevators and sometimes only 1 is active. The room we had was nice. Everything was there, enough sockets for changing or other things. Bathroom was also good. Could have some attention in the corners. We had only 1 small and 1 big towel, so I went to the reception and she directly gave me a 2nd set. Good service, but normally should not happen. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room had some nice seats. We also tried the bar in the evening, but there are moments when you have to search for barkeeper. 1 evening I ate at the hotel and had fish and chips and peas with the advised wine. And a little dessert. All tasted well for an affordable price. Overall a good hotel to stay in when you want to be near the city centre and good connection with trains(from and to the airport) and the free bus lines.

I'm giving 3 stars because the staff were absolutely brilliant, the hotel is in a good location and the breakfasts were lovely. Unfortunately the hotel is having work done and it had an impact on our stay, the Internet kept dropping off, the banging and drilling was from 8am, the shower in a premier plus room was terrible, first night it was broken, next day it was fixed but only 1 shower head worked, the pressure was awful and most of the water shot out the top. As always the beds were comfy, the room was clean and the staff were lovely it was just a shame about the rest but we did get comped free breakfasts abd the food was great.

  • 5/5 Helen G. 1 year ago on Google
As usual - a reliable Premier Inn experience. Clean, comfy. Got a bath this time, which I prefer. Rooms were nice and cool. Window opened too. Only minor thing was quality of breakfast has gone down a bit. But for the price of the whole stay, you can't find anything better value in Manchester. Plus right next to Piccadilly train station and gardens makes it ideal.

  • 5/5 J 1 year ago on Google
Brilliant stay there a few weeks ago. In a great location as it is close to the train station and the city centre. I would stay here again when I'm next in Manchester. Breakfast was great too with a great choice of food. The rooms have a Brilliant air conditioner and there is very very little noise from the outside. Overall a great stay.

Hotel clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. However unable to get food in restaurant at 9pm even though open to 10pm. Chef said too busy but only had 3 tables. Two tables of 2 and 1 table of 2 adults and 4 children. 1 table already finished eating. Very disappointing esp after long day. Thank god for Ubereats got food to room at 9.45pm. Would be reluctant to book this premier inn again due to that reason.

Good, handy location near to the station and the gay village plus 2 pure gyms are near by. Breakfast is huge and tasty, tvs in the room are slow to change channels, the rooms aren’t serviced unless u are usually more than once, as no one checked that cleaners had done his job. Nice bar in the hotel and bed are very comfortable but it’s mean to put just two tea bags in the room and only one hand and one bath towel when there’s are two guests staying ! Anyhow good prices, but I wouldn’t recommend the premier plus rooms for £50 extra as they don’t get services either. Again unless u insisted due to COVID rules , 🥱

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
