Love this hotel. The building is beautiful with great views from the higher floors. Upgraded to an executive room thanks to diamond status, great room with a coffee machine and fantastic shower. Executive lounge is one of the best I've visited in the UK with a good selection of drinks, snacks and lovely staff. Breakfast was also excellent. Can't wait to return for another stay

This hotel is fascinating. The staff is excellent. Food is pretty good. Exercise room, bar and lounge all good. Hallways of the floors modern. Then you get into the room…the rooms are really bad. Carpet seems original and is stained and torn up. Showers leak. Beds are rough. If they renovated these rooms, it would be an excellent Hilton. As it is, cannot recommend due to the condition of the rooms which is horrible.

Fabulous hotel. Really friendly staff. Comfy bed, spacious room, great shower. In room facilities replenished every day. Coffee tea, hot chocolate, little biscuits. The mini fridge in the room was an added bonus for when you just want a light snack returning from a busy day ready to kick off the shoes, shower and relax with some TV before retiring. Beautifully clean.

Check in was very basic, no information provided about breakfast.. where and when it is served. No information about the facilities the hotel provides. Most of the check in time was aimed at trying to sell me a room upgrade which I didn't appreciate. Only 2 out of the 3 lifts were working which wasn't enough for such a busy hotel so a lot of time was spent waiting for a lift. The room was very basic, rubbish tap in the bathroom, poor lightning in the whole room which is no good when you're trying to do your makeup for an event. One bulb flashing on and off constantly in the bathroom. The air conditioning hardly worked in the room and in the function room on the first floor with the weather being a humid 29 degrees! Breakfast was good but I didn't appreciate the lady going around telling everyone that breakfast finished at 11! Having paid so much for a room and with it being a Hilton I expected way more out of the whole experience. Don't think I'll be staying here again, I've had much better experiences staying in a cheap hotel. Very disappointed.

I've never been here, other than to pick up an item that a guest left me at the concierge. Therefore, I can't give a review of a 'stay over' experience, nor the Cloud 23 Restaurant. I can give a review of the reception desk/concierge - and that was excellent, above and beyond. I was treated with respect and my enquiry dealt with professionally and courteously. Should I have the chance to either stay over, or visit Cloud 23, I'll give an updated review 😁

As we arrived in Manchester and I was looking for parking I looked at a building and said “wow imagine being up there” and low and behold, that was where we were staying. We upgraded the room in advance to a king deluxe room, however, when we arrived - 90 minutes after check-in had opened - we were informed our room wasn’t ready yet. We were offered complimentary drinks, limited to a small glass of wine, a pint, a soft drink or a house spirit and mixer. We were told we’d be contacted when the room was ready but after waiting 45 minutes, I went up to the receptionists desk again and asked and they said it was ready, so who knows how long we could’ve been waiting had I not asked. Room was definitely worth the wait, the bathroom was lovely and the view was lovely, very comfy bed, it was everything I’d hoped it would be. Location was great too, we were going to the Manchester opera house so it felt like it was almost next door. Perfect place for seeing any shows.

I very rarely leave reviews especially negative reviews, but I will honestly never come to this hotel again. This is actually the second time I've been here, I didn't like it the first time but gave it the benefit of the doubt. The main issue I had was that there was no internet all day and night. I tried calling down to the desk literally 20 times (no joke) and never once did they answer. I paid £275 for the night and expected some sort of compensation but I got nothing. I wasn't able to check in until 4pm when online it states that check in time is 3pm. The pool isn't the best, small and not very warm. The only good thing is the valet parking but there are honestly so many better hotels in Manchester. Indigo hotel is much better, Midland and even Hilton double tree are much better. For the price and service it's just not worth it.

This place can be a faff in having to book. They seem to value clientele image which is strange because the experience isn’t all that. The views are interesting and the ‘drink’ was nice - I say ‘drink’ because we were left with the single drink and never asked if we would like to order another. Staff were nice and friendly but the service seems very ‘one in one out’. Maybe a cool place for Instagramers to ‘get the pic’ and move on. Lacklustre for drink adventurers.

No shower lotion in green container empty and bath had the remains of black hairs still remaining from previous occupants and sadly the swimming pool was out of order which spoilt it a little however the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast delicious

Just had drinks with the family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours in there. Even on a night the view is incredible. The cocktails change with the season or occasion ie Halloween, and are very enjoyable. Table service was friendly and helpful. Overall a nice treat and pleasantly pleased with the prices of drinks as not much difference from other venues in Manchester.

You know what? I tend to be overly critical when reviewing places but on this occasion in particular, I must admit that I did quite enjoy my stay. Parking is accessible, at around £15 per day, and the views are fantastic. The indoor pool is large enough for a decent swim, and overall not too busy. The gym is enough for a mediocre trainer but not good enough for more dedicated heavy lifting athletes. The rooms were well cleaned, staff was exceptionally polite, breakfast was delicious and with a good variety of food and drink, and the views amazing. Decor was modern yet tasteful and overall a great experience.

I worked here as a face painter for an event. The staff were very professional and efficient. They made me feel very welcome and organised a lovely setup for me with everything I needed. They were attentive to guests at the party as well.

Attended a corporate event at the hotel. The decorations are beautiful, created a lovely atmosphere. Staff are polite and efficient. The food presentation was beautifully done and tasty. Had a lovely evening.

Me and my girlfriend visited as a Birthday treat. We stayed in an executive room which gave us access to the executive longe (with free booze and bar snacks for two hours each day). Every part of our stay was amazing, the view from the room was amazing, the executive lounge was such a great experience, the breakfast was amazing, the location was perfect and the staff were lovely. The rooms themselves are probably closer to 4 star standard but everything else was 5 star standard. Amazing experience for affordable prices.

I loved staying here! The room had the most incredible views and all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Sofia was amazing at check-in and so informative. She really is an asset to the Hilton Deansgate!

Stayed here and visited the executive club lounge on Sun 16th July in the evening just before it closed. Both ladies working provided excellent service, really helpful with a smile, nothing was too much trouble for them. One of them was really attentive to our kids and even brought them some hot chocolates which they really appreciated. Please pass on the positive feedback to them, they are an asset to your hotel.

If you have plans to go out in city centre it is perfect location. That being said pretty much everything else about the hotel was awful. Stayed in plenty hotels all over the world and never received such bad service. Room was awful and nothing like pictures. Called to upgrade over 10 times prior to arrival and was left on hold every time. Was told at check in there was nothing they could do. Room service was average at best and got charged almost £20 simply for ordering. £100 deposit that was never mentioned prior to booking. I also got charged as I was an “out of city” guest.

Lovely hotel, Great views, only downside was the room we were allocated was occupied when we arrived at the room after checking in. Lucky for us the occupant was out, and lucky for the occupant, we are trustworthy and honest! The reception was apologetic and sent us to the bar for a drink at the hotels expense whilst the issue was sorted.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during 6-8/10/2023 for my business trip. Expect to stay from 5/10 night but my flight from Bangkok to London was delayed and could not connect with the flight London-Manchester in time. I arrived the hotel on 6/10/23 early morning as there was only one flight from London on that day at 6.45 am. And I found out that my booking at the hotel was cancelled due to no shown record on 5/10 night. As such the room class that I have booked will only be available at 4.00pm on that day. But Miss Artemis Passalidou, the Duty Manager on that morning was very kind and helpful to offer me the other room category and allow me to check in to my room in that morning. She is also very kind to offer me the breakfast for that morning though I didn't check in and pay on 5/10. I am very impressed with the warm hospitality and immense generosity that she offered to me. Especially this is my first time to stay here and I am just as new member of Hilton Honor. I will always come back to stay in Hilton Manchester Deansgate in the future if I have to come back to Manchester again. I will also have business trip to Singapore during next week, so I decided to book my stay at Hilton and see if I would receive the same Hilton Hospitality from the hotel. :)

Another Hilton with a great walkable location but no attention to details. No plugs next to the bed, either side. Hairdryer cord tied in knots and the hairdryer itself very dirty and sticky. No plug for the hairdryer in the bathroom and no plug near the mirror in the room. No shampoo in the large locked bottle. Ice maker on the floor not working, when I called the front desk they told me none of them work, but there’s not a sign on any of them. It’s just one overlooked thing after another. And, called down to let the front desk know I had an important visitor coming, desk person assured me he would alert the others and "send her right up." When she arrived, they kept her waiting for 20 minutes while they tried to reach me. Very off-putting. And I should’ve known better, but I tried room service. It took forever, and it may have been one of the worst grocery store pizzas I’ve ever had. It’s listed as a Pizza Margarita on the menu. It is an awful grocery store cheese pizza. I am trying hard to continue as a loyal Hilton customer but I do see a slip in the quality of many locations as we travel the world for one year.

Fantastic hotel!! The service was great every member of staff so professional also friendly and helpful. Had an amazing experience at the hotel, I definitely recommend the hotel to everyone. One of the best hotel I’ve been to in Manchester and North West

I hate this hotel and stay only reluctantly. The rooms are in dire need of modernisation — they feel practically soviet. On my last stay the toilet hadn’t been cleaned which is something you don’t expect from Hilton. I have to say that the location is fantastic and the room service food and staff are both excellent. I also can’t comment on breakfast as I try to escape as quickly as possible. Manchester deserves much better than this from the Hilton brand and serious investment is needed. If you don’t need to be bang on Deansgate try the Dakota, it’s a class above.

i was there for a meeting not as a guest so review is of the conference facilities not the hotel. the room itself is ok, nice size, acoustics ok. needs some investment in tech, video conferencing would help so we don't have to bring our own. really need a second coffee machine. I've been to a couple of events here now and the current machine is really slow and only does one cup at a time so it takes a long time to make coffee for 30 people, i gave up after 20mins and just had water

Stayed as a last-minute break. Staff were friendly. Breakfast is one of the best we've had (all hot and fresh). Rooms were spotless, great large TV, bathroom had everything you would expect ( shower over bath). The only reasons for a 4 is no water, or hot drink facilities in the rooms, and no complementary razor or toothbrush. Really lovely place to stay though.

Very nice stay! The beds were so comfortable and the bathtub was perfect for a nice soak at the end of the day! Biggest shout out to Lana Banana down at the restaurant! She was the sweetest woman who made me and my husband laugh and feel welcome in the UK (it was our first time traveling there!) I wish her and her family well! The only thing I wish the hotel had was a mini store in the lobby, like the other Hiltons in the U.S. have, so I could buy some medicine and crackers for my upset stomach.

Never stayed in a Hilton hotel before but I definitely would again after our stay. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The room is modern and clean with an amazing view of the city. Since it was our honeymoon the hotel staff went the extra mile and left us some chocolates and prosecco in the room with rose petals on the bed which made it even more beautiful and romantic. The breakfast buffet has lots of options so there's something for everyone and everything was fresh. Nothing beats a croissant that's still warm 😊. Location is great for sightseeing as it's right by a Tram station in the city centre surrounded by plenty of attractions. They even give you a book in the room to tell you about things to do in the local area.

Don't forget to use HotelDuIIy.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't be disappointed. Great hotel, restaurant and bar. The only complaint is that they play the music too loud in the gym. Everyone in the gym came with headphones and their own tunes, but even with headphones I could not drown out the music. It was like they were trying to set a mood that no one wanted. Also 1 or 2 of the elevators were not working making it a nightmare to use, this was most likely a rare occasion.

The staff was helpful and kind. The room was large and clean. And breakfast was perfectly diverse and tasty. The things that lacked in the hotel were the slippers in the room and the lighting which was not adequate enough in the room and was not present in the wardrope.

King double room booked for 2. 17th floor. What a view from the floor to ceiling windows.... just wait until night draws in! Quiet, clean and excellent location. Hairdryer, 50 inch TV, King double bed, mini fridge, kettle, iron and board, bath and separate shower cubicle, bathrobes and slippers. Pool is located alongside the gym on floor 2. Decent sized but can feel cramped at times. Jacuzzi and sauna room. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't pass comment on that. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

You guys got some SERIOUS housekeeping issues. The curtain hook aren't fix for days, they didn't take out the trash, there's someone else's clothes in the cabinet the day we checked in, even they need to wear some plastic bag to take out the previous guest clothes (but didn't even clean the cabinet after they take out the clothes) , the WORST part is they forgot to clean the rooms two days in a row meanwhile we just wanna rest and lay down after a whole day out. I doubt they cleaned the rooms properly and thoroughly. the service was atrocious, not gonna comeback to this hotel for sure! The hospitality need some serious improvement

What an amazing experience. This was a surprise trip for me planned by my fiancé so I didn't know where we were going so rocked up in shorts and trainers. I was worried going in that I'd get a bit of stink eye but that wasn't the case at all. The staff were as lovely and as gracious as I'm sure they are to everybody. As soon as you walk in you can look up and see the incredible view of the hotel through the glass roof which is awe inspiring itself. The hotel was beautiful. The room extremely nice and the bed the most comfortable thing I've ever slept in. Everything was lovely and clean. We ordered room service and the food was absolutely gorgeous and the man who brought it up very lovely. The pool and spa are very nice - they've done a very decent job with it in a smaller space. I would absolutely come back again

Lovely hotel in a great location. I got upgraded to a fantastic King Executive Plus room with my diamond status. Fantastic breakfast and exec lounge on the 23rd floor. Pool was great too with glass panels to see down to the ground floor below.

Beautiful modern hotel in a good Manchester location. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are the most friendly staff I’ve found in a Hilton hotel. 2 minor niggles. I’ve stayed here twice now and both times I asked at reception for my room to not be cleaned only to find it had been. The most recent time I stayed, some of the towels were ripped and had holes in them. Minor points but not like the usual Hilton standard

Expected better for £120 per night. Stains on the carpet. Broken toilet seat. Opened ear buds from a previous guest not thrown away. Missing TV remote. Was constantly asking for more milk & sugar from housekeeping. These are things that are easily avoided. Staff were nice. TV was huuuuuge but I have far more freeview channels at home. Can't understand this. My room had a great view. Big, comfy bed. But, overall a bit disappointed for the price.

Decent location, spacious room, cleaning service was a bit questionable. If you are on the right side of the building you will get an incredible view! (See photos!) Cloud 23 at the top of the building is a great place for a few cocktails, that's a bonus! Great to have a pool on site, although you better make sure to book your slot in advance! I think they went a bit heavy on the chlorine in the jacuzzi as my skin struggled after!

  • 2/5 Joel H. 1 year ago on Google
Well below average hotel. The Hilton brand used to be good but this hotel has lost the plot. Service well below average with less than lacklustre team. Room has seen better days with a fridge out of commission a service charge for bringing two champagne glasses and a shower that was less than user friendly. Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed that and one can't complain about the location. But that is about it

Overall nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Staff were lovely as were the rooms. The executive lounge was great for a drink or two in the evening before dinner. Convenient location right off the tram. Would stay here again.

I was greeted almost immediately upon entering, by a lovely gentleman who asked me what I was looking for. He spotted my awe in the vast size of the bottom floor. I was given a very warm welcome and felt like a VIP. Chose the stairs as I was not too high up. Amazing place, quite surreal in that despite its size, there is still a personal hospitality from all of the staff, not impersonal. I was blown away.

Fantastic place to have a conference. We were well taken care of, the lady serving us was either called Lara or Lana and she was fantastic she kept us perked up with coffee and jokes throughout the day. Food was good especially the cauliflower wings, I don't normally eat anything like this but they were a revelation.

Had a lovely stay in late February at the Deansgate Hilton in Manchester, UK. Our room was located on the 23rd floor and had lovely views of the Deansgate Residence Towers. Our Deluxe King room was well appointed and very spacious, especially the bathroom with both a tub and separate shower which was nice as I do like a soak. The bed was very comfortable but I was a bit disappointed that there was only a light duvet on the bed and no top sheet at all. Especially in February. I thought that a bit odd. We did take advantage of the executive lounge and enjoyed both drinks, coffees and snacks during our visit and enjoyed the beautiful view. The hotel is truly in a great location and the staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant. We can’t wait for our next visit next month. We know now to just ask for extra blankets at check in. EDIT: Return visits have all been wonderful as well. Our hotel of choice in Greater Manchester.

A fantastic hotel with great rooms and views over the city. It’s starting to show some signs of wear and could likely do with a refresh/refurb in the next few years but doesn’t detract from the hotel being really comfortable and in a great location. Would recommend upgrading to club level, the lounge is really nice.

Wonderful experience, great location, great views, close to bars and restaurants and a max 10 min trip to Old Trafford (if you’re here to see the Red Devils). Very nice breakfast. The rooms need upgrading but they know and started already. But what’s best is the welcoming from the staff, the professional yet warm approach. Fell like part of the family! Highly recommended!

Sadly We didn’t get to enjoy our first day as a married couple, we woke up very early 7 am to the fire alarm shockingly, leaving the building with hardly no clothes due to being evacuated , stayed outdoors in the freezing weather with 0 support from staff, once they let us in there was no heating or hot water in the room for hours of waiting, therefore we couldn’t take a shower or use the toilet until checking out. We asked for compensation as we’ve paid a lot of money but all our efforts were refused, we are very disappointed and annoyed at how we were treated on our special day!

We wouldn't stay here again. The minuses so far outweigh the pluses it is ridiculous. For starters I emailed this hotel a good few times before our stay with various requests. A roll away bed? Could the rooms be together? I got quick responses assuring me all would be taken care of. When we arrived it was like I had never emailed. No one knew anything about any of the requests. They had valet parking for our car some of the time. Not all of the time. Numerous times my husband had to park the car himself because no one was available to do it. The food in the restaurant, evening food, was terrible. Very strange selection of food and it was absolutely not good. Then when we checked out, again, no valet available. And when we appeared in the lobby with our cases the man at the desk was following us around saying "Who is paying for these rooms? Who is paying for these rooms?" I just looked at him and said THEY MADE US PAY FOR THE ROOMS, IN FULL, WHEN WE CHECKED IN. Which they did. Which was ridiculous. Then my husband got the car and no one working in the lobby offered to help put our bags in the car!!!!! The hotel is dated and in need of a renovation. Pool is nice. Location is good. Breakfast is nice with a nice selection. Only good things I have to say. Hilton corporate should check this place out because it's not representing the brand well.
