This
was
the
worst
travelodge
I've
visted,
out
of
many
-
the
rest
of
which
were
all
good.
Firstly
the
bathrooms,
even
in
the
superrooms,
are
cramped.
In
my
first
room
(507)
the
latch
on
the
bathroom
door
was
worn
out,
and
didn't
retract
properly
when
I
put
the
handle
down
-
nearly
trapping
me
in
the
bathroom!
As
you
can
imagine
I
asked
for
a
different
room
after
that.
The
windows
are
completely
sealed,
so
i'm
thankful
it
wasn't
a
sunny
day
when
I
visited.
There's
no
AC
so
you
have
no
way
to
manage
heat
except
the
cheap
and
nasty
provided
fans.
In
the
first
room
the
fan
was
not
only
cheap
and
nasty,
but
also
completely
worn
out.
However,
even
the
less-worn
one
was
far
from
quiet.
Breakfast
itself
was
fine,
but
there
was
no
indication
of
where
to
get
my
details
taken
for
breakfast
-
turns
out
it
was
back
at
reception,
which
had
been
left
unstaffed
when
I
went
down.
This
made
breakfast
a
confusing
and
awkward
experience.
There
were
other
general
maintenance
issues
-
the
duvet
cover
in
the
second
room
was
worn
out,
there
was
some
kind
of
sticky
stain
on
the
base
of
the
desk
chair
in
the
second
room,
and
the
battery
cover
for
the
TV
remote
in
the
first
room
had
a
broken
clip.
In
all
it
did
not
have
the
feel
of
a
well-maintained
hotel,
and
the
"superrooms"
didn't
seem
worth
the
premium
at
all
-
I'd
sum
up
the
superroom
as
the
most
expensive
2
kitkats
I've
ever
purchased.
I
do
want
to
stress
that
I
saw
no
indiciation
that
any
of
the
frontline
staff
members
were
doing
any
less
than
their
absolute
best,
other
than
problems
that
could
be
put
down
to
understaffing.
