OK for a short stay. Nice staff. Reasonable price. No lift, only stairs so be prepared to carry luggage. Room desperately needs renovation. You can hear literally everything from the next room and the corridor through the door.

Very tired rooms, window didn't close properly, coffee spilt down drawer fronts Bed was clean & comfy, good shower. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, well presented & replenished regularly Steady 50 minutes walk into Manchester

Room 003 stinks of damp and wall paper is bubbling off the wall. Beds very comfy and bathroom is decent enough. Okay for the price we paid but would not stay in this room for more than one night. Area quite a distance from city centre but there is a bus stop right by the hotel and fares were really cheap.

Easy check-in, friendly staff, nice rooms, and reasonably priced. Has a bar and a restaurant on the premises and numerous restaurants in the immediate area. The bus stop to get to the airport is across the street and a bus cost £3. The ride took about 30 minutes and the buses run all night. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The location was probably the best part, we could get the bus into city centre very quickly from right outside the door. The rooms were decent, they were clean but aging a bit, with peeling paint and loose fittings. The bathroom floor also lifted a few times. The beds were very comfortable, I had the best sleep I've had in a hotel bed in a long time. The breakfast was mediocre, not a lot of choice but it was grand. A special thank you to the receptionist who let us store our massive kit bag in the conference room in the morning before we could check in. Overall a decent hotel in a great location, we'll probably be back if we're visiting Manchester Metropolitan University again

Not for the disabled as there are many stairs to negotiate. There are 2 staircases to reception then down another to the bar and rooms. Then as I was on the top floor another 2 staircases. But a very nice room clean and tidy good shower and clean bedding. Great if you're traveling through but not a holiday destination.

We stayed here the night before we flew from Manchester Airport. Nice enough little hotel. The common areas are really nice but the rooms could do with a little upgrade. It's location is handy for something to eat or drink with Nandos, McDonald's and some pubs on the same road. There is also a Sainsburys across the road. It's about a 15 minute drive to the airport which makes it really handy. I would definitely use this hotel again even although the rooms need upgraded.

Place is great, warm, friendly and professional receptionist, rooms are a touch dated but clean and well equipped so for the price I paid that doesn't bother me at all. Bar well stocked and reasonably priced and good selection of food and drink places nearby. Would happily stay again if in the area

Seemed to have got lucky as my room seemed to be one of the better condition rooms and not as described on some other reviews. Comfortable, clean with a nice bright bathroom. It was one of the rooms on the same floor as the reception. Ask for a room on that floor! No lifts however and the reception itself is on the 1st floor. The staff help to carry your cases up. Overall great value for money as a stopover hotel after a late flight in from Manchester airport.

Hotel is very nice. Comfortable rooms. Staff superb service. The restaurant/bar was very quiet and it is more bar food than restaurant. Parking is available for £7 a night, not free as advertised. Central to the area.

We decided to spend the night after our flight back to UK before driving to home. The room was generally OK but paying £7 for a 6 hours parking was just unreasonable. You can't expect for people to arrive without a car, so free parking is kind a basic service I would expect in a hotel.

It says the hotel is temporarily closed. I hope they reopen soon. Very nice location and spacious room. Very friendly stuff at reception and bar. We loved our time there

Nice location. Friendly staffs. Quiet place and close to bus stop. Room was clean and spacious enough. Worth the cost. Only issue was the carpet and curtain smell. Not sure if it wasn't cleaned properly or there was no proper air circulation. Other than that everything was great.

Lovely here and rooms are lovely and warm and clean ... Bed is huge and had a great sleep... If you want breakfast then you have to pay for it on top .... 1st time i have ever had to pay for parking when staying at a hotel.... £7.00 per night.. 😕

Decent place to stay for a night with my mother, sister and niece. You have to pay for parking but that’s to be expected in most places. The room was very hot and had no way to Ventilate the room aside from opening the windows but was a bit concerned with doing this when sleeping during the night. The hotel seemed like a mix of modern and old but everyone seemed friendly inside. Some corridors did look a bit creepy but that just adds to the charm right?

Great hotel which seems in the middle of a refurb. Most of it was in excellent shape but my room was starting to show its age. I'm guessing it's on the list to be done as the bar and dining area was good. Staff were excellent, food was very good. I'd stay again.

The staff were excellent and the location is great with a direct bus into the city and lots of food options around. The room was nice but if you want a good night sleep I can't recommend this hotel unfortunately. The walls are so thin and the floors so creaky that we found it impossible to sleep well because you can hear every step someone takes

Not bad but nothing special. Would stay again. Nice standard breakfast. Don't enjoy the 'Not doing housecleaning' because of Covid. 1 mile from a Better Gym which is a enjoyable walk.

PARKING IS £7 EXTRA. We booked this as we wanted secure parking and it was cheaper than others in comparison. But they keep it very quiet that you have to pay for parking so we would have been better staying somewhere else. The water in the shower didn't get hot, just stayed warmish. The rooms are very dated and not exactly dirty, but definitely not as clean as they could be. Kept awake because the corridor doors were banging all night. All in all, it was ok. Wouldn't stay again unless it was super cheap.

Booked the hotel for a family occasion close by. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel, comfortable room, quiet and spotlessly clean. Very impressed with the breakfast too, great selection and nice coffee machine too. Highly recommended to stay here, thank you

We needed a room for just a night this was fairly local for where we had to be. The room itself was okay, but a little bit tired. The bathroom was spotless. The price itself was not expensive, so for what we paid we say it more than a fair price. The bonus was the lady on reception, she made checkin/out so easy, very helpful and it was much appreciated, it made the difference, thank you. If you have have any mobility issues there is no lift up to reception. Or at least we did not see one.

First and foremost, Clare on reception is an absolutely fabulous person. Came across warm and kind. And this positive and friendly attitude resonated across all the team. We got a lovely modernised room with air con and a great shower. And there was a safe place to store our push bikes. Great place to stay!
