Stayed for one night πŸŒ™ June 11th. Had a great experience, would really like to thank the young lady on reception for contacting me to let me know my husband had dropped his wallet, and returning it to him. The bed was comfy we slept really well. Would definitely stay here again. This was my first time in a budget hotel. All in all a great experience Thank-you

The shower in our 3 person room had a glass door that went straight into the communal area so who ever you share a room with could see you in the shower. Also the room had such small windows it felt like a prison. They sold pizza downstairs and had nice staff.

Rooms are very clean but you get what you pay for! We really weren't complaining on the price between 3 of us for 3 nights over the weekend in Manchester! We were greatly amused that your room mates could watch you shower in the room and if the person on the top bunk was missing out on the view then they could join in from the perfectly placed mirror opposite the shower πŸ˜‚ Having said that the staff were great, the communal area downstairs is perfect for post club/pub brew and chinwag before bed with 24 hour food. Brew stuff was complementary but not in the room and had to get it from reception (Β£10 deposit for a kettle in room). Location is right next to a convenient shop with everything you might need at very reasonable prices unlike some shops! Walking distance from picadilly train station and centre.

The hotel is in a very good location, there is a tram stop only a few minutes away from the hotel, or you can easily walk to the city centre from here too. Although the hotel is next to a busy road, it's not very noisy. The rooms are basic, but our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay - cereals, bread, croissants, waffles, eggs, cheese, ham, juice, but not many options for fresh fruit, no vegetables, yogurts or jam. Staff members were hit and miss, some really friendly, some very grumpy. But overall I was happy with our stay because it was cheap and comfortable and we didn't spend much time in our room during the day anyway.

UNSAFE FOR YOUNG GIRLS!!! harassment from male staff in the middle of the night and changing key card codes assuming so they can enter the room themselves, complaints and reports completely ignored! Sadly seen many other reviews on facebook and trip advisor of other girls saying similar things! do not stay here if you value your safety from creepy old men

Please bear in mind that these ratings are based on my expectations for a budget hotel. On my arrival, the check-in was excellently done by a lady who could have been an American or Canadian. went through everything I needed to know. (Something the last more costly hotel I stayed in couldn't do) The room was spotless (see my comment about more costly hotels) and a good size. The shower was excellent with great pressure and temperature although the separate toilet was quite cramped if you're a bit of a chunky monkey like me I managed though. The only criticism of the room was the bed (otherwise this would have been a five-star review) which was a bit like an untempered slab of concrete, the pillows were good. There's a 24-hour reception service so you can buy drinks and snacks. An eat all you want continental breakfast had plenty of choices which I enjoyed immensely. Location wise it was brilliant for what I wanted it is an approx 11-minute walk to Piccadilly Station and a 19-minute walk to the Etihad Campus, however, the North Islington tram stop is only a 250-metre walk with a journey time of 4 minutes. Would I stop there again? Yes, I think I would. I should mention the staff before I finish as without them you couldn't run the hotel. who were always courteous.

Super clean and was comfortable. Our room had a weird layout - the sink and shower did not have a separate room, they are just in the main bedroom. They room was also quite small, but for a short stay and for a good price it was worth it. The location is alright, it's walking distance from city centre, but not a short walk. There is nothing to do right near the hotel, it's a very industrial area and you have to walk to the city centre. Wifi was great and staff were great!

Great location for all three terminals. Has a snack bar for tea, coffee, warm and cold snacks. You can have continental breakfast. Beds really comfortable and good shower. Bar and restaurant literally over the road you can use. Stayed twice in the last two months- great for really early / late flights.

The rooms are small but clean. The toilet area is very small, I had to open the door to turn around. The breakfast is fine, the pastries are of good quality. The service was acceptable.

Good cheap hotel, only downsides are there is no kettle or drink making facilities in the room. The shower is also built into the wall, the water is either luke warm or red hot no happy medium. The toilet is very small so if your 6"4 or above it's not the most comfortable experience.

Beds were very comfy and room quite clean. No kettle and hair dryer. We came late for breakfast and it was quite poor. But generaly a good place for stop.

Pro: - Super friendly and helpful staff - Location just a few minutes walk from the city center and main train station Cons: - Air con was super dirty, probably they didn't clean it for years (main reason I recommend everyone to avoid the hotel) - Smell in my room / on corridors - In general the hotel needs a least small renovation - Very limited breakfast options (e.g. not a single fresh vegetable)

The customer service was absolutely terrible and miserable. The receptionist didn't even listen patiently to the customers' inquiries and rudely hung up the phone. This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I would like to provide negative feedback for this hotel.

I know it's a cheap hotel but...the triple rooms with a shower inside the room? You know, I know a few groups where it's not a problem :-) or with one small child, but in most cases it will probably be a reason not to take that room.

They did not make a refund because of the covid-19. Instead, they offered to reschedule the date (till the specific date). We rebooked to this "specific date", but we still could not leave the country and get to the UK because of the extension of the covid-19 and lockdown. The hotel replied that they were already open and accepting guests, and it did not depend on them that we could not travel because of lockdown. + Government requirements to spend 14 days in a hotel room They can't provide us with open date

Cheap! Bit of a walk out of town but it did the job. Air con in the room was good, window actually stopped the noise from the traffic outside..reminded me of the F1 pitstop hotels you get in France but the shower was really powerful..probably the best shower I ever had...was ok for what it was. Also a domino's next door if that's what you like. I would stay again

Great location easy walk into the city. The staff were very professional & supportive ( I'm partially blind) the pizza was delicious, the room was small, very clean though & considering the location very quiet, great for a single person stay.

Really nice and down to earth staff. Location was ideal Room was very basic with a broken shower holder. If you're wanting something really basic and cheap with is the place however if you're with family or a partner I wouldn't recommend.

The issue that I have experienced was: I went to a works Xmas party in Manchester. I was booked into room 311 at the ibis budget Manchester Centre Pollard Street. After the party I arrived back at my room at around 11.15pm. Room seemed all fine. I switched off all the lights and went to bed. At around 4am, I woke up to a loud hissing noise and emergency lights were on. I got out of bed and my feet went into ankle deep water. I switched on the lights and the whole room floor was flooded. I checked the toilet and shower and it wasn't coming from either. I then noticed that all my belongings were absolutely soaked through. I alerted the receptionist downstairs and noticed that water was also pouring from the ceiling into the reception area. The receptionist came to my room to check it out. The carpet in the hallway outside my room was also soaked. The member of staff then checked the boiler next to my room and said he thinks it's a burst pipe. We had to collect up all my sodden belongings and he moved me to another room. However, the water had soaked absolutely everything. I was meant to be working in Manchester that day but had no clothes to wear. The member of staff had to get me plastic bags to put all my wet belongings in. I used the new room for 10 minutes as there was no point staying with no dry clothes or shoes. I then had to drive back to Birmingham in my pyjamas at 6am. It occurred on: 08.12.23 This meant that I have ruined belongings. My laptop does not work, my fur jacket is ruined, my suede shoes are ruined, expensive perfume box sodden, my handbag is discoloured along with many other things. I was very tired due to lack of sleep and having to cancel a work meeting due to having no dry clothes. I have emailed to request a Full refund on the room and full compensation for my ruined and damaged belongings aswell as major inconvenience.

Staff were friendly, but rooms are extremely minimalist: sinks in the room went out in the 70s, the shower is in the room with just a frosted glass door, and there is an inch plus gap under the door to the toilet. Only share with someone you know well! 4 coat hangers, no drawers, one hard plastic stool. Tram stop is a few mins away, I wouldn't walk into the city centre in the dark. The 24 hour Domino's next door is very handy for a pizza party in room.

We weren't able to check in until 4:20/4:30. We had to wait with many others downstairs in the lobby. It didn't help that we had a tight turnaround and were keen to drop our stuff, get ready and leave. The air conditioning was incredibly loud and the lobby downstairs had a broken glass panel with tape on. The whole experience felt incredibly odd. Many other hotels can deliver much nicer rooms and service for the same price so I will be sure never to book with any Ibis again.

The hotel was clean and tidy wouldn't recommend for families most of the staff friendly. There was one member of staff who was very helpful. The receptionist when I was checking out never even asked about my time at the hotel or nothing she was not very friendly all other was friendly apart from this one woman. The toilet is very small. The shower and sink is in the room only about a foot from the bed. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from New Islington tram stop.

The hotel is well positioned. Check in and checkout went smoothly. There are grocery shops nearby, Aldi for example. City center is not far away, 30 minutes by foot. Also it's nice that the reception is non stop. The downside is that the windows are pretty small and you cannot fully open them.

Never been before but definitely will be returning. Room was completely adequate for our needs. Nice and clean with everything in the room that you need. Staff lovely and nothing too much trouble. Great location for shopping and visiting the AO Arena which is why we came to Manchester. Cannot wait to do it all again.

Overall stay was good, hotel is very near to the railway station and 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Staffs were very friendly and would definitely recommend this hotel. Toilet was very small but it’s ok if you’re staying for a night or two.

A really great find. Fantastic value for money and only 2 tram stops (7 minutes) from the centre of Manchester with the tram station a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Rooms compact but very clean and beds lovely and comfy. Will definitely stay here again.

I was really surprised how good it was. Given that it's a budget hotel for Β£35 I wasn't expecting much, but a twin room had air con and power sockets by the bed, lights to switch off by the bed, towels, shower gel wash, a TV, and a coffee station downstairs. Would stay here over a Travelodge anytime. Pleasantly surprised - The kind of room I'd be really happy with for a quick city break or after a night out. Hope more come to the South. I don't even know how they cover costs!

Rooms were fine but the washroom and the toilet they were seperate. That's also fine but the bathroom had a translucent glass that was a bit sad part about the same. - Staff were cooperative and very helpful. - You can keep bags after checkout for no cost. - Near to tram station.

For the price it's at you can't complain, the staff were friendly enough. However the beds themselves weren't that comfortable but it is a cheap roof over your head so bear that in mind. All in all a good 2 stars

Clean hotel! Bed sheets were fresh and room was ready to check in early. 20 min walk from city center ! Staff is super friendly and early checkin only cost 10$ . We used the printer to print our boarding passes free of charge. Also we're able to store our bags all day at no charge. All around excellent hotel, definitely would book with ibis again!

I am giving 4 stars because i had issues locating the hotel. It is not very easy to locate. The receptionist were nice. The room was comfy and clean, no room service though.

Myself and 6 other friends booked in and arrived for a night out on a friday evening, were checked in no problem and went out, only to return at 4am, greeted by a man with a clipboard telling us that despite the fact we checked in no problem earlier, they were not allowing one of our group to enter the building. This is absolutely disgusting, leaving one girl to have nowhere to stay in Manchester, homeless and vulnerable out in the streets at 4 in the morning, in October weather. We even offered to pay an additional fee to let our friend come in with us but the man who was attending reception would not allow this and just kept repeating that it was not his problem, and that our friend wasn’t even allowed to stay in the lobby where it’s safe. I’m absolutely appalled that this was allowed to happen. I cannot stress how bad this situation was. Do not stay here unless you want to end up homeless at 4am.

The hotel has everything you need for a night. Proper rooms, separate bath 🚿& toilet 🚽, USB connectors to load the mobile ☎️ during nightπŸŒ› (no adapters needed) & many options for breakfast 🍳πŸ₯“πŸ₯. Moreover, sufficient and friendly personnel 😊 supporting us to find the appropriate bus & metro πŸš‰ Best point: Just some walk minutes away from Chelsea ⚽ stadion πŸ₯°, on the way many pleasing restaurants and pubs.🍻

DO NOT RECOMMEND - My brother booked this hotel with 3 of his friends , hotel states on amentities that it is a ensuite and private bathroom. The shower is in the middle of the room. I rang reception and asked to change rooms and pay extra.. they refused. I said they want to move hotels then and they said they wouldnt refund. Absolute joke! They expected 3 boys to have a shower infront of eachother in the middle of the room as you can see directly through the shower. Rude staff, weird layout and to think we paid Β£355 for two nights with that type of service !

Rooms are great, comfy beds and air-conditioning in the room. Didn't like the look of the breakfast but with a Costa next door that wasn't a problem Taxis are Β£4 to Picadilly Gardens from the hotel

Great location, only a short walk from city centre and there's ample car parking around (AVOID SHEFFIELD STREET CAR PARK!!!!!!!), the rooms are great for the price and I LOVE how you can book at room for 3 adults since most places only allow 2, makes booking gigs and staying overnight so convenient and within budget! only dislike is the shower/mirror position and how claustrophobic the toilet is but for how convenient it is for me, I can over look those minor issues

I have booked 2 rooms, I arraived early and they have been charged extra money for been early. Rooms are very tight and small as well as the toilet. Rooms price don't worth the price I have paid . I don't recommend for any one , I feel so depressed and its not a good decision that I have made to choose such a boxy rooms.

So sadly this was my sister and her partner but also my 1year old son! All day they keeped ringing to say we need a crib.. the hotel said its sorted. They get to the hotel and there is no crib. So they ask again and i broken one gets sent! They then get told it will be sorted. Then nothing! When asked asked they are told to put him on a bunk bed!!! They are now sat on a cold manchester train station to come home! Luckly my child is a sleep and wrapped warm! However he should be safe in a crib. Not in his pram on a train station. I did phone the hotel and got someone who wanted to make my sister a lier. Not happening! I will be taking this higher as my poor sister and child are now left to come home. Dont use for children.

Had a 1 night stay at the ibis Budget. Rooms were clean and had basic amenities. The toilet was in its own room which was very small but otherwise the rooms were a good size. Location isn't too bad, around a 20 minute walk into the centre. Good value for money.

  • 3/5 Michal C. 9 months ago on Google
++ The room provided what we needed - a place to sleep. That was great, although it was not as clean as we expected. It is called a "budget" hotel, so we did not expect anything special, but it could have been cleaner. -- The thing that we disliked the most was the cleanliness. Even though the bed and the floor seemed to be just okay, there was a lot of dust everywhere. Apart from that, everything was pretty much good. It is called a budget hotel, but I still think that 80 € per night was quite too much.

  • 1/5 Charlotte G. 9 months ago on Google
Β£180 for a night? I’v seen better prison cells in the Uk. The shower was right next to the bed with no where to get changed and you could see straight through the door. I was sharing this room with my friend, we both had to leave the room to use the shower if we wanted any privacy. This would be a awkward experience if sharing the room with family especially since we booked twin room. Only thing keeping these beds apart was a tiny headboard near our heads. No cups in the room and dirty floor. If I had paid Β£50 for this place I would understand but for Β£180, it’s ridiculous. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Only good thing was the air con

  • 3/5 Stephan D. 9 months ago on Google
Nice hotel with good and clean rooms. The rooms are not spacious, but everything you need is in the room. We did miss a towel rail to hang the towels. Now every day the towels are changed, I think that is a waste, because we are happy to use a towel for multiple days. The toilet room is very small, if you are longer, your knees will have a fight with the door. It would be great if a small safe could be installed Location is good. 15 minute walk to city centre and also 15 mins to Etihad Stadium. Be advised that you cannot park at the hotel. There is a parking space behind the hotel, where you formally cannot park. We did use it for short time to load the luggage and then parked the car in a nearby parking garage. Breakfast is nice and good. There are some noices you can here in your room, e.g. neighbours closing their wc door
