Beware of 8th floor Executive Club Rooms. I was in 814. The lighting was extremely bad. Room way too dark for comfort. Desk light was not sufficient for a small "office space". Aesthetic sloping of wall behind the bed caused me to bump my head many times and I'm only a mere 5'7". Shower recess so small that I had difficulty turning around without bumping shoulder, arm and elbow. On good side, bed was very comfortable. On previous visits, I had none of these problems. REPLY TO Jonathan King's "reply". Jonathan, Jonathan, Jonathan, Your reply was ALL very standard "cut and paste". Did I miss the apology for the dark and dingy room? and the tiny shower recess? or even that I bumped my head on your aesthetic sloping walls? NO. There was no apology. It seems you didn't really care about my discomfort. Instead, you made a big deal that I said the bed was comfortable. The Holiday Inn Express next door, is really looking very inviting to me on my next visit to Manchester. Your extremely disgruntled Platinum Elite Member, Michael

Excellent stay. ALL the hotel staff were very friendly, polite and helpful whenever assistance was required. Room was a bit masculine but that's a personal preference. Otherwise, clean, comfortable bed, good sized room, working a/c, lovely toiletries (and a bath tub, not just shower), lovely breakfast offerings. No issues at all and will definitely be back. First class! Update: Have visited again, three months later and they're still amazing. 👍

Stayed at this hotel with my family for only one night. We shared a 2x queen bedroom with breakfast. Room was clean and well presented - Bathroom layout was excellent. Beds are on the soft side but still comfy. At breakfast, there was a good selection of cereals, pastries, juices and your standard English breakfast items. I had accidentally left my bag in my room after checking out. A huge thanks to Faisal (hope I spelt the name right), who kindly went up to the room to retrieve it for me as soon as possible. Overall, a good experience and would definitely stay again...

First time we stayed at this hotel and it’s been excellent experience from start. Person at check in was very friendly and helpful. For family of 4 not many hotel provide 2 double bed mostly it’s one double bed with sofa bed. The best thing about the stay was 2 double beds in room so had a great night sleep. Would definitely use again.

Last visited January 2024 Booked a few rooms for friends and also stayed over myself. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. Likes how the bathroom came with a separate bath and shower. Thumbs up for the prices and location.

Well stayed in a few crown plaza s in our time but this is the worst, everything about it is small from reception area to the dinning room and even the rooms, not a patch on Glasgow. Bar food is virtually non existent and very over priced£16 for a pizza or burger, if prices were kept down people would stay and eat??? Needless to say we won't be coming back. It's fairly central which is handy

Great location. We stayed for a gig at the Century Hall. After a heavy night on the Guinness we came back to the hotel bar for some drinks. Our barman, James, even made my very drunk girlfriend some buttery toast well after hours before we retired to the room. Brilliant hotel and great staff to boot.

Great location, few minutes from Victoria Station and Arndale Centre, only 5 to 10 minutes from AO Arena. Hotel and room modern and clean, breakfast cooked and continental excellent selection. Only slight downside room outside wall is all glass so don't think there was a window you could open, we were woken a couple times by sirens so maybe not the most soundproofed but most hotels you find this. Staff very friendly and efficient.

The service provided by this hotel has been exceptional. From the get go I felt valued as a customer, I had a issue with the toilet in my first room - when raised with the front of house team they were apologetic and provided me with a new room that was of high standard. Huge thanks to the front of house team member and guest relations manager on the Monday early afternoon shift who helped with this, apologies I forgot your names! During my stay myself and my partner would visit the club lounge both evenings of our stay for a couple of drinks after our meal in the city centre. I must say Christine was superb! She was really nice, friendly and approachable - went out her way to build a rapport and made us feel looked after! She even remembered our drinks from the previous evening! This is our second visit at this hotel now and will definitely not be our last!

As a Diamond elite this is easily the worst Crowne Plaza i have ever stayed in worldwide, the rooms, vestibules and corridors are shabby with paint chipped and falling off. In the rooms there are no amenities, no water , no toothbrush nothing at all, marks on the walls. Lifts are filthy. The rooms or decor don't feel or look like a crowne plaza. Club lounge ....just don't bother, don't pay the extra if you don't have free access it's not worth it. I would not recommend this hotel and would not return

Pleasant hotel, very ideally located close to the main train station. Nice bar and restaurant with friendly staff. Could do with more lifts as waited a few times to get a lift. Quite modern.

Air con at this hotel switches off at midnight to save money!! So I paid for the room which is advertised as air conditioned - set temp to 19 when I got in after dinner all seemed well. However I slept badly - why? The room unknown to me the room was warming up all night. The guest services mgr expects customers to get up at night and turn the air con back on !!! Complete joke. Lots of other hotels in Manchester so don't bother staying here.

Lovely room in a very clean and quiet hotel. Can't fault the staff or the accommodation. If you can drive here I'd highly recommend it. The downside is the location. If you are on foot you have to walk through some slightly sketchy parts of the city centre which I wouldn't recommend to any ladies on their own for example. Alternatively just use Uber or local taxis, although due to the road system these cost a bit more than you might expect!

Really helpful, we stayed and forgot an item which they've very kindly posted onto us. Nice room, good service, don't judge the hotel by the outside which looks a little tired!

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza whilst on a work trip. The hotel, the rooms and the service were all excellent. I wasn't there for long and didn't avail myself of the breakfast (although I was told it was good), but the facilities were excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. Location was OK, not too far to walk from the centre, but the immediate vicinity of the hotel looked a little run down.

Most comfortable hotel room I ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, quiet and the most comfortable bed ever. Super breakfast . Great selection of cereals, breads, sweet pastries, and a great full fry. Teas and coffees, juices etc. Located close to a tram stop and a huge shopping centre. Very handy for a Manchester break. Trams make getting around this city so cheap.

The service of the staff here is brilliant. Any issues I had were attended to promptly and with no fuss. The Manager is very friendly and welcoming. The staff at check in, particularly Eleni, are one of the best I’ve encountered with Crowne Plaza globally. The only criticism of the room is the showers are tiny and water presser not the best.

Great hotel, in a fantastic location. Room was immaculate. Very spacious, with great facilities. Breakfast was very good. Staff were attentive, and informative, without being overly so. Seriously recommend this hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Clean, comfortable and quiet despite being pretty busy. What I really appreciated was the fact it appears to have enough staff. Ever since the pandemic we've had to deal with places being understaffed and all the negatives that brings. Here, you don't have to sit and be patient as some under-trained, overworked teenager struggles to accomplish basic tasks. There are enough people and they know what they're doing. They are also friendly in doing it. I'd definitely stay here again.

Room was large and clean, even had an extra single bed which was unexpected. I was on the 15th floor and had a pretty good view. Staff were friendly and efficient, with the exception of replacing coffee as part of breakfast which was a bit slow. The breakfast was however really good. Finding the hotel entrance wasn't as easy as it could be, the signage was quite understated, but Google guided us well. Overall it was a really positive stay.

Excellent location, stone's throw away from Arndale shopping centre and all the hustle and bustle from the Northern Quarter. Room was clean and spacious, and the bed really comfortable. Shout out to George from reception recommending us a restaurant which was absolutely superb (The Sparrows in Manchester, worth a visit). Overall a great stay for our shopping spree trip in Manchester!

Comfortable, clean, spacious, polite and friendly staff and good food. Blackout curtains, beautiful design and an amazing view over the city. The location is perfect if you want to visit the city centre and you have a spacious parking close by with a discount offered when you check in. What I didn’t like was hearing the lift noise constantly (my room was close to the lift area, so if you need a quiet room, make sure you mention it) and not being able to open a window or have fresh air coming in.

We love this hotel, it's very central to everything, the staff are fabulous, the deluxe rooms are very spacious and we love the club lounge (I'm a diamond elite member) it would have been 5* but for 2 reasons, you are very tight with your canapes in the club lounge. Most lounges put the food out and it's a 'help yourself ' we got one slate between the 5 of us last night! Very poor. One guest asked for another slate for the 2 of them and they were told, no it's restricted to one slate! Then there was the breakfast, I'm glad I chose the breakfast as my welcome bonus and didn't have to pay for it for my daughter. She's vegan. Nothing was labelled as vegan and there was little hot choice for her. I asked if you had vegan sausages, I was told no you didn't. I asked a member of staff if you had vegan butter, I was told we have butter and margarine 🤷🏻‍♀️ In this day and age and the size and quality of your hotel, I feel you need to cater much better for vegans, especially how much you charge for breakfast. Hope to see changes the next time we stop.

Very friendly staff, specially house keeping, rooms were tiny and clean and in a good size. Daily amenities refreshed and added by housekeeping including still and sparkling water. Breakfast was full English buffet breakfast daily with lots of other options. Location was great. My only comment would be for night reception staff to be more aware of the breakfast timings and whether we need to book or not. They told us we don't need to book, and gave us a wrong timing that it's actual timing. Luckily, the morning lady at breakfast reception area was kind enough to let us in. Overall lovely stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Room good size but could be a bit cleaner obvious glass marks in bathroom, charging point on desk covered in dust so not had a wipe in a while. Comfy beds and decent pillows. The tea and coffee is in the wardrobe. Ok for a quick one night stay

The only reason I can't give the hotel 5* is the carnage at breakfast- it seems they'd been overbooked or some staff had not turned up. Either way, the team tried their best to salvage the situation, but it wasn't the best. The rooms are great, decent price, quite large with a gorgeous comfortable bed and AC that had been left on for us so the room was lovely and cool when we arrived. Decent bathrooms and facilities, everything you'd expect. Immaculately clean everywhere. I stay overnight in Manchester frequently and would stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant enough and the room was excellent bar the shower. The morning we left we used the shower for the first time and the pipe flew off the connector soaking the bathroom and leaving the shower useless which wasn't a massive deal as there was also a bath. Reception were understanding that we would run a touch late for checkout because of this however when mentioned this it wasn't really acknowledged. It would have been nice to have it addressed at least and not just a sorry as it was a shame not to have access. Parking was confusing at first however the lad on reception made it easier. Overall a nice hotel just let down a touch by the shower.
