It was good here. Really comfortable room with some interesting blue lighting that added to the mood. It is in central Manchester so a really ideal location. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good in the morning, plenty of choice. Check out time of 12! Brilliant for if you've had a late one the night before

The hotel is conveniently located next to the convention centre (1min walk). The staff is friendly and helpful. Typical English breakfast buffet is served at the restaurant next door. Unfortunately the building has seen better days. The rooms seem fine at first glance but when you look closer you find stains, damaged furniture, dirty corners, wobbly shower fixtures and so on. The floors were sticky and when we had to ask for more towels, we got towels that have obviously been used before. The hallway at our room was smelled like moldy carpets, so bad that we had to hold our breath when walking from the elevators to our room. Nevertheless the sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable. But for >450£ for three nights, we expected more. Next time when we come to Manchester we will stay at a different hotel.

Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be let down. Excellent location. Right by tram stop and close to Gay Village. Staff very friendly. Room good size and bed very comfortable. Breakfast well cooked, especially the poached eggs. I always stay here if overnight in central Manchester

first time staying in a premier plus room. Quiet impressed. Mini fridge with 2 bottles of free water. Nespresso coffee machine. Better seating and toiletries than in a basic room. As always very comfy bed. Tom on reception was amazing. Only issue was the wait between main course and pudding in the on site restaurant. However breakfast was very good. I very pleasant stay.

A great location in the centre of Manchester, next to the train station. The room was clean and equipped as expected from a Prem Inn. Breakfast was OK. Service was good throughout the stay with helpful staff. The hotel is nestled newe to local restaurants and many conferencing facilities and is a short walk from Manchester town centre.

My hotel stay in Manchester Central was really great! The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore central Manchester with a tram stop nearby. The breakfast was excellent, offering plenty of options to choose from, including very good coffee to start the day. I have to mention the lovely staff on reception, who were so friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality truly made me feel appreciated during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Really good location for this hotel, you've got food places nearby as well as the tram station to take you around the city for very little cost. The room was good, good size with a decent view as well. The bed wasn't the best I've had but wasn't bad either, The bathroom was a little small but other than that happy with the stay. Breakfast was Also good quality so I rate this Hotel 8/10

Let’s start by the fact it took over 40 mins to check in, the q was out the door into the street. We booked premier plus rooms, the bathroom was looking a little tired with the skirting loosing its paint, the shower head was spraying water out the top of itself, the bed pillows where too hard and the maid was making a noise cleaning rooms early morning. Not the best hotel to use and the check in was ridiculous. Positives AC worked, mattress is comfy and it was clean in general. It’s in a good location but it’s not the best premier inn in the area.

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The plug in the room was stuck in and the noise of trams is something to be aware of at the front of the hotel. Also the front door was broken so did not open automatically and required a manual input, hope this gets fixed soon. Location is great as it is near everything you need

A slow check in but that was due to tech issues. They happily stored my bags as I arrived early and waited in the bar. Great location next to a tram station and plenty of places to eat. I stop quite regularly when I go to gigs as you can normally get to any venue nice and easy from there.

My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed our stay here. We went for the Premier Plus room, and it was comfortably spacious, not overly hot or cold like some Premier Inns can be, and in a great location situated by Chinatown, within walking distance of shops and the Arndale shopping centre, and also right by a main tram area. We would stay here again!

Had an incredible time in Manchester, including my stay at the hotel. The employee were friendly and that made the stay relaxing . Shout out to the front of house and restaurant employees for being so helpful.

Had a takeaway in hand as I arrived, the receptionist was so sweet and hurried check in as he knew I probably wanted to eat it and get my room as I had travelled far - even going to the restaurant to get me a fork! The breakfast buffet was the cleanest one I had been too and really well stocked as I know these things can easily get out of control. It's the little things and these were really appreciated and make the stay pleasant.

Great hotel - quiet and generously sized room, super clean. The bed was so comfy and we had a great, peaceful nights sleep. The location is great too. Thanks!

All seems to be quite good. Rooms are clean and adequate. Only point is where they have the loo paper situated. You would have to be a contortionist to reach back and upward for the loo paper. Anyone who is on the small side, has bad back or arthritis wouldn't stand a chance of reaching it. Otherwise no complaints it does the job. The food is ok and reasonably priced.

Was a great hotel, with lovely beds as usual for premier Inn, and we had lovely reception service by a lovely Portuguese man named Bruno, if he reads this, thank you! The only reason I give it 4 star was the fact that the breakfast was a bit lacking in terms of other premier inns, and they were slow to replenish items.

I rarely leave reviews but the staff at this Premier Inn were just so amazing, they went above and beyond in every way for us and were so helpful and accommodating for us. Rooms were lovely, location is great, and the value for money is excellent. Will definitely come back, thanks again to the fantastic staff 😊

Mid-range hotel with simple amenities depending on the room type you book. Friendly and helpful staff. Suggest to put Instructions sign on Shower room water mixer to avoid scalding. Location is great! Quiet surroundings.

Handy for Oxford Road station and the old Central station, which is now an events venue. Staff were, as always with the Premier Inn, fantastic, and the room was great too.

I'm a little bit surprised by all the 5 star reviews here. We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Tried to check in early but it was unavailable, which was fine since the website specified it was based on availability. We came back at check in time and there was some sort of issue with their system and there was a crowd in the very small reception area. Finally got to our room, which was decent size but not the cleanest. There was hair in the tub, carpet was very dated and worn and the cups and spoons provided for tea/coffee were stained. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Close to St. Peter's Square and the Metrolink that takes you everywhere. Lots of dining options nearby. Not the best Premier Inn I've stayed at and not the worst. Best if you're going to be out and about and just come back to get some sleep.

Just stayed for one night aa a family in a family room but enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, lovely shower too. Really nice view from our window and even though the tram runs past right outside we barely heard anything at all.

My wife and I recently stayed here. We had actually booked a Premier Plus room, but when we checked in I asked if we could have a top floor room. Sorry sir was the reply, you are in a Premier+ room on the 2nd floor. However, if you like, I can change this and offer complimentary breakfasts instead. We took this, so it was certainly a win win situation. Location and staff perfect. We will return.

Fantastic value for a central Manchester location. 5 mins walk from conference venue. Kept my luggage at no cost and with a smile. Room was very good.

Air con is supposedly locked to a minimum temperature which would be OK, but got nowhere near what it stated- was way too hot in there and with no airflow. Beds aren't comfortable for everyone - we have quite a firm one at home, but these seem even more so. I'm ok with it but can't say it's comfy, partner finds them very difficult to sleep on. Location is OK, but we overlooked the trams- which woke me up very early and I'm not a light sleeper.

Clean, ok, food was great in restaurant below. Told on arrival our room was ready but charging £10 to check in. Never in any other hotel has this happened. Late check out no problem but an “early” checkin on Boxing Day! Having a laugh!

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure! Excellent location. Great staff who were friendly and efficient. Lovely room with comfy bed. Quiet, good aircon, clean, and a good night's sleep. Topped off with an excellent breakfast in the morning.

Good affordable hotel right in the centre of Manchester. Comfortable, clean and spacious. The room has all the amenities you will need for your stay. The bed is comfortable and I really enjoyed my stay. The only downside was the noice from the trams which operates through the night but this is what you get when you stay at the heart of a busy city. The shower water pressure could have been better but it's not a big deal. Great hotel.

Stayed here on another mental health break away from my troubles at home. The hotel reception was really friendly and were happy to honour my request of a high floor. I was put on the top floor, with spectacular views. Onwards to my review. The Hotel is an older Premier Inn, while it has been refurbished, the rooms are showing a little wear and tear. They are still immaculately clean though and very comfortable. The rooms have climate control and come with a shower suite. The rooms were quiet however a little internal noise of people going through the corridors was heard. Food was great quality and they have lots of choice. The restaurant is a Table Table and whilst it is a little tired on the decor side, the team were lovely and warm. Probably gonna stay in this one again.

Have stayed here 4 times over the last 6 months and it's been great every time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have always been perfect and we've had a great night's sleep, which is saying something with a 1 year old.

Always use premier Inn, usually reliable, comfortable and great value. Booked a family room, as my teenage daughter and her friend were staying over with us on a birthday do. My daughter returned early to the room. And was told she had to pay a £60 fine! And use an alternative room, and she was not allowed to access our room! As her friend was over 15 yr old, therefore a fire hazard!! When we booked she was 15. Security actually stopped her and her friend and said, if they'd been male, they'd have been fully kicked out. But being female he'd let it slide. The receptionist would not. And the kids had to stump up cash! Before being allowed to return to their bed.. we all still stayed in the same original family room, despite being forced to pay for an additional room... Rooms were £35 per couple. We were charged double this, for an extra room, after midnight! as one teen was slightly over the age limit, on arrival. Disgusting.

Hotel was in a nice location however it was dirty… On the first night I had gone to the toilet and seen some tissue left on the side.. the next day I went back down and it was STILL THERE. Along with some crumbs in the sink and a wrapper stuck in the drain. The communal areas where mucky and tatty. The chairs where falling apart and looked generally dirty like they hadn’t been cleaned. I wanted to leave a good review because the staff where nice and so was the breakfast and the room, but the lack of cleaning and the general state of the place made it less enjoyable. It’s a good hotel for a few night as it’s in a good spot however if your staying for a week or so and using the communal areas often, I wouldn’t recommend it..

Great location, great welcome at reception, excellent room,(spotlessly clean). Brilliant breakfast. I have travelled extensively from camping to 5* cruising and this place was excellent. We were going to the Opera House and it is in an ideal location fot the theatres.

Great stay. Stayed for a weekday night in July in a twin room, having stayed at this location multiple times previously. The rooms are the refurbished Premier Inn rooms. Room and shower were perfect. Views from many of the rooms are great - you can see the Beetham Tower and Manchester Central. Metrolink is next to the hotel but not a noise issue. The service we received upon check-in was fantastic. Bruno was extremely warm and friendly - sorted out a room for us before check-in time and gave us tips for our stay in Manchester. Can't wait to stay again.

You can't go wrong with Premier Inn and thus one was no exception. The rooms were clean and tidy, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the drinks were reasonably priced and the breakfasts plentiful, fresh and hot.

Great 2 days. Very nice service, helpful staff and clean rooms. The food in the restaurant was amazing as well. It was definitely not my last stay.

The Hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. Check in took 20 mins as quite a big queue. The hotel is on a tram route and this was noisy, as well as having rather rowdy people out drinking until 2am making a noise outside. So we did not sleep very well at all. Breakfast was in the pub adjoining. Staff were lovely but the hot food was luke warm and the coffee not the best. We have stayed in many Premier Inns but sadly we wouldn't return to this one due to its position and the breakfast.

The hotel was really nice. Perfect stay for a quick stop to the city. Slap bang in the middle of the city which was great as we were right by the tram line which got us to several places where we needed to go. Sometimes this can be a worry due to city noise but no issues there. Bed was lovely. Had a nice tv as well. Bathroom was clean just like the rest of the room. Would stay again and probably will! 😊

  • 3/5 Christine J. 1 year ago on Google
Not the best Premier we have stayed in. Bathroom was a bit small and needed a deep clean. Not good to find one set of towels to share between 2 and only enough tea, coffee and sugar for one drink each. Breakfast was good though also staff.

The Premier Inn Manchester Central is located in the proximity of many important places in the centre of the city, and a tram station is close nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was good, with a nice view - I especially liked the bottle opener at the side of the desk!

Great location and easy to get to. The hotel is surrounded by tourist attractions, bars, restaurants and only a short distance from a tram stop which will connect you to most major train stations and Manchester airport. If your lucky to visit during late November and December, the Christmas lights and decorations are taking place outside the central library (to the right of the hotel entrance). I cannot comment on the rooms as I was here for an event in one of their meeting rooms, but they were friendly and had tea/coffee available.

Stayed here 27th December for one night. Room on first floor was a great size and immaculate. Clean bathroom and a decent sized television. Quick check in and staff always on hand late in the evening when returning to the hotel after a night out.

Regular Premier inn. Shower had a bit of mould but nothing too bad. The person who checked us in 'Tom' was so helpful and friendly and gave us some recommendations for places to eat. We didn't have breakfast this time so cannot comment on this.

Had a marvellous stay this weekend. Lovely staff, very nice cosy rooms with aircon. Great location. Delicious breakfast and evening meal. As I expect from a Premier but this one was really good.

We stayed here for 1 night as we had booked to see the ballet at the Opera house and this is a great location for that. We booked a standard room and were pleasantly surprised to find we had been given a free upgrade to one of the Premiere plus rooms. It was a lovely room, lots of space, a lovely big shower, comfy bed, an iron and ironing board and a coffee machine. The service was great, staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was fabulous. I can't fault the place at all.

  • 5/5 Craig M. 1 year ago on Google
I've stayed at this Premier Inn many times and I have to say, it's a very good spot. The location is great, with McDonald's just around the corner and Chinatown only a 5-minute walk away. Plus, every time we stay here we discover new parts of Manchester that we haven't seen before. It's at the quieter end of Manchester which is always a plus. The hotel is also very close to the train stop, so it's easy to get around. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also good, with a decent variety of options available. Overall, I highly recommend this Premier Inn. The location is great, it's at the quieter end of Manchester and it's easy to access other parts of the city. Plus the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable

Not all rooms have a bath. Every PI that I have stayed at have both shower over bath. This is a large PI, over 5 floors, so would have expected adequate number of staff to manage the number of customers however, only 2 check in desks but no auto check in machines, again, I've seen these in smaller PI venues. The location was brilliant as I had thought our group might be a bit away from where we needed to be. I will continue to use PI and I will continue to provide fair comments and feedback .
