Nice clean and comfortable stay at the hotel as a single traveller. It’s in a nice central location, only 12 minute walk to Manchester Piccadilly train station and a minute walk to some bars, food places and pubs. I had a double room for 3 nights which had more than enough room for myself. Tea, coffee was available for free which is good. Easy accessible lift and stairs as an alternative. I received a letter for my stay stating breakfast times, and relevant information that I might need during my stay. Only rated as 4 stars as breakfast was quite costly - so I didn’t have that. All in all, a comfortable bed, good cleaning service and a nice stay during my time in Manchester.

The hotel had very sophisticated look that is very welcoming but front desk staff would have been a bit nicer overall my stay at the hotel was magical. The bed was comfy my pillows were fluffy. The room was a bit cold for my liking but overall the hotel is very well beautiful.

I recently had an average stay at this hotel. The location wasn't ideal, and the staff didn't seem very friendly or accommodating. One disappointment was the breakfast, which definitely did not live up to the hotel's 5-star rating. While the amenities were decent, these aspects significantly impacted my overall experience. I hope the hotel considers addressing these issues to improve the quality of future stays.

A Disappointing Experience at AC Marriott Manchester City I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at AC Marriott Manchester City, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment and frustration with the hope that it will lead to improvements in their services. My stay at this hotel was meant to be a special celebration for our one-year anniversary, but it quickly turned into an upsetting ordeal. Upon entering our room, we were met with unsanitary conditions in the bathroom that were nothing short of appalling. To our shock, we discovered urine and feces on the toilet seat – a shocking and unacceptable violation of even the most basic cleanliness standards. This not only tainted the ambiance of the room but also posed a serious health concern. Such a lapse in cleanliness is inexcusable and marred what should have been a special occasion. Regrettably, the disappointing experience didn't end there. The behavior of the hotel staff exacerbated our negative experience. The staff members we interacted with were shockingly rude and dismissive. When we raised our concerns about the unsanitary bathroom conditions, we were met with disbelief and skepticism, as if our observations were unworthy of consideration. This lack of trust and professionalism is deeply disheartening and severely undermines the integrity of this establishment. Even more distressing was the response we received when we simply requested an apology as a courtesy for the distress we had endured. The staff member's (Rachel) response, was not only unapologetic but also disrespectful. It is inconceivable that a hospitality establishment would treat its guests in such a callous and uncaring manner. Our stay was intended to celebrate our first anniversary, but it turned into a profoundly disappointing and disheartening experience. Our concerns were not taken seriously, and our celebration was ruined due to the lack of cleanliness and courtesy at this hotel. Instead of enjoying a special meal, we were sent to inspect six different rooms with a staff member present, as if our integrity was in question from the start. To our dismay, every room we inspected had issues, ranging from unsanitary bathroom conditions to bed linens stained with blood or pubic hair. It is our sincere hope that AC Marriott Manchester City addresses these issues promptly and takes the necessary steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Trust, cleanliness, and customer service are paramount in the hospitality industry, and it is imperative that this establishment upholds these standards.

Traveled to Manchester with my partner for valentines weekend… Hotel was lovely, the staff were very hands on and answered any questions that were asked. Only downfall is realizing they put two single mattresses together with a very large fitted sheet over it… when you lay in the middle you can feel it dividing apart which left a gap in the bed. No on-site parking but there are two car parks down road £6 - £7 for 24hrs which was pretty good (2min walk from hotel).

Stayed here 1 night. A lovely hotel, quite central so easy to get to bars, restaurants and shops by foot. Rooms are clean with lots of space. Beds are huge and comfy. The bathroom was very tight, shower water splashed all over and the glass bathroom door is see through.

This hotel doesn’t even deserve a star beware it’s not safe and not worthy of the money you’re paying. I booked 18 nights and paid in advance. Day 12 of my stay went back to the hotel at night tired and exhausted, the card won’t open the door so I went to the reception to change it. Went up again to find out my room was empty non of my stuff was there !!!!!!!! Can any one imagine that a hotel would do that take your belongings to trash !!!! I regret not calling the police for that. Their answer was it’s a mistake we don’t know what happened !?! They searched for my stuff and found Some of my belongings in trash bags, some went to trash including my medication, food, and brand boxes of shoes with dust bags that I needed to refund, I couldn’t even know what’s missing of my stuff. They also gave me a bag that is not mine 🙃 so don’t be surprised when your belongings gets lost and stolen in that hotel. What ever the mistake was they 1. have no right to touch my stuff 2. No right to go inside my paid room 3. No right to throw my belongings in trash or store it in trash bags . Not professional not safe for you and your belongings to stay there. All I got from them is sorry we can get you water. I cancelled my stay and left in the middle of the night to another hotel. This incident was unbearable, never in my life went through an insult as that. A PRISON NOT A HOTEL. I rarely do a review but felt the responsibility towards people reserving there. YOU DON’T WANT TO RUIN YOUR STAY WITH THEIR UN EXCUSABLE MISTAKE. Note : -My PASSPORT & MONEY were inside the carry on bag which was taken from the room. -Rooms are full of dust never been cleaned properly. DID NOT RECEIVE MY REFUND TILL NOW

This hotel was beautiful it had wonderful facilities and the rooms were fairly clean the only thing I would mention is the dust was a bit much in certain areas. Also thought that some staff not all could have been alot more friendly. Overall nice hotel and would stay there again.

Pop to Manchester pretty regularly for gigs and need somewhere in the centre to stay. Used to stay at the crowne plaza. My wife decided we should try somewhere else nearby and after staying at AC will definitely be staying here from now on. On arrival we were told we were upgraded which was very nice. The decor of the bar and foyer was in condition, and the rooms were done out nicely. The shower had good water pressure and the bed was nice and firm (just a little noisy when getting in and out). All in all this is the new hotel in the city centre for us and will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone else.

The location of the hotel was perfect for attending a concert at Band On The Wall. The hotel was modern and beautifully decorated. Our room was a good size, clean and again, nicely decorated. However, the bed and pillows were awful. I literally felt that I would be as well sleeping on the floor! It was also noisy due to the proximity to The Fire Station venue. The constant thud of music went on until late. Breakfast was fine. Nothing to get excited about. Unfortunately, it's doubtful we would choose to stay here again.

Pretty average. Booked here to stay in town for a show as you 9/10 know what you’re likely to get. Definitely paying for location (walking distance to arena), over quality. There is A LOT of noise from works surrounding the hotel, and the rooms/bathroom in particular on the smaller side. The staff were pleasant enough, and helpful when we needed something . My only complaint is with something we witnessed.. The bar/restaurant that adjoins is a nice spot for a night cab. This we were doing when an extremely drunk, very distressed gentleman was having issues and needed a place to rest his head. He paid, kept apologizing as he could barely stand, before coming to the bar… where was the served a straight double brandy of which he downed… We made the comment that we didn’t think he needed anymore and we got - late night in Manchester.. we left not long after this, and I can only assume he was allowed more alcohol. I appreciate everyone has their job, but it just felt like a lack of responsibility from the bar staff, as he could’ve so easily gotten himself hurt, hurt others, or gotten into trouble. Stayed with us the next day, so just hope the guy was ok, and definitely a policy I think the hotel should review.

The check in was very fast and simple and the receptionist was professional. The location of the hotel was a walking distance from the shopping center. The room was very spacious and clean. The check out proses was fast and they unblock the blocked amount at the same day. Highly recommended for short trip to Manchester.

The reception staff on both evening and check out were exceptionally helpful and obliging . A credit to any hotel . The breakfast had a wide range on offer but most of the cooked food was cold or Luke warm . The coffee in the breakfast bar was very good . The room was spacious But basic ie no little toothpaste , standard shower gel. The hotel group needs to buy Shower caps need to fit adult heads . The view from the room was the car park . The bed was very good . It’s a few hundred feet from the tram stop , you can get to the air port , Manchester city centre ( about 14 minutes) The Lowry is a short walking distance . Little in terms of entertainment around the hotel but a Tesco express and garage just outside the hotel .

Bed sheets weren’t changed they only pulled the duvet up to make it look clean, we slept in the same bed sheets for 6 days, they got changed on our last day. They changed the towels every day which is a pro but didn’t change bed sheets. Also we used the same cups for 6 days even though we got our room “cleaned” everyday. Other than that Location and service is nice

I had a poor experience at this hotel - the first time I've been to a Marriott, which I'd understood were quality hotels. 1) It was noisy in the corridor outside my room. Both nights I was woken up multiple times by bumps, crashes, and people shouting 2) the wardrobe in the room would not open so I could not hang clothes - I would hope they check the rooms for maintenance issues like this 3) the tv randomly turned itself off whilst I was watching it. I had to turn it on again, only to find it repeat itself and switch off again 4) the room was cold, the duvet insufficient. Usually in hotels it is the opposite problem Overall a very poor performance. I mentioned the problems to the receptionist who seemed surprised but offered nothing. I looked to give feedback to AC Marriott on their website but could find no place to do this. This will be the end of my Marriott usage.

I have stayed here at least 10 times in the past 2/ 3 months. Overall good. located on the Eastern side of City center. Mostly everything is nearby. So location is okay. Kitchen closes early but overall okay as you might find many restaurants nearby. Rooms are goo, clean. Ironboard, etc. In the room and rooms are big. There are some issues with their reciept system. Mail never comes in directly, and business people may need to call once again to ask for the invoice, and then they use their other emails, and then the email works. Has not been sorted in the last 2 months. Location - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Facilities- 4/5

Enjoyed our stay here. The room was nice, really clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. We also found the price reasonable, and the location is excellent. We found everything for a weekend break was within walking distance. The only thing is there is no parking but lots of car parks are around, some cheaper than others. Would definitely stay again.

I had an exceptional stay at AC Hotel by Marriott in Manchester. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made my wife's birthday extra special with thoughtful touches in our room. Special thanks to Louise, the General Manager, and Mirza, the Director of Sales, for their dedication to guest satisfaction. The hotel's commitment to providing outstanding service and attention to detail makes for a luxurious and memorable stay. Highly recommended.

A great location if you need to access the city. Friendly staff and decent rooms although the bathroom in our room was a little on the small side but the bedroom was big enough. Breakfast was good too although I think they were a tad short staffed.

I loved my time staying at this hotel, it was super clean and amazing customer service service from the front desk, to the cleaning team, everyone was always happy to help. The dark room design , the comfortable bed and pillows gave me some of the best sleep I’ve had in a while, I didn’t even notice a lot of the noises people have mentioned during the night and morning. I didn’t opt in for the breakfast as it finishes at 10:30 and I didn’t want to get up early for that but the location is perfect, so many near by restaurants, cafes and even delivery for Ubereats was easy to this location. Parking right behind hotel that cost £8.50 for 24 hours which isn’t too bad and it has cameras for peace of mind. I’ll definitely stay here again for my next Manchester visit.

Had a great stay here. Really friendly staff. The rooms were spotless and the beds and pillows super comfortable. Bathrooms are small but everything you need and the shower was strong and powerful. Would recommend.

Stayed here whilst visiting family and it's VERY nice! Definitely the better choice in the area. The bed was clean and comfy - could do the Roly Poly 3 times being my average size of 5'8", twice if 6'+ and once if you're large so plenty of space! Clean throughout. My only caveat would be the shower overflowing with water so a towel on the floor is a must!

Nice simple hotel. Good location. No power cards and quiet AC. The issue I had with it was noise from. Outside. Firstly my room was facing the building site opposite. Deliveries started 730am... Beeping from the forklift, annoying. Secondly, occasionally there were strange sounds from inside the building, from pipes or I'm not sure. Once the building next door is finished, will be much better. Or if your room doesn't face it...

The hotel is in a great location with lots of parking close by. On arrival we were greeted professionally by staff in a beautiful reception area. There was an issue with the card machine which caused a slight delay however the gentleman serving us managed this and quickly got the issue resolved. On arrival to the room we noticed it smelt slightly and found this to be the drains in the bathroom. We returned to reception to let them know, they were extremely apologetic and we were given a complimentary drink in the bar whilst the issue was resolved, we were also given a complimentary breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. The room was ready in the next 20 minutes and was fine after that, staff were extremely apologetic. All staff were really helpful, we took the wrong stairs and thankfully a member of staff took us back to reception. The hotel felt really safe especially on the evening. Staff were always present at reception for any questions and really helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice and great service. Will be staying again!

Poor service and facilities. My room overlooked a lively party bar which interfered with a good nights sleep. This is less than ideal when your on a business trip. Loud whistling noise in my room. Presented the video clip to staff who just shrugged their shoulders. Notifying me that maintenance don’t work weekends. General quality of my room was poor. Bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable

The hotel was amazing and new. The staff were very lovely and helpful throughout my stay. The location of the hotel was also good, had quite a few bars and restaurants within walking distance too. The hotel also had a lovely bar, which was great.

I recently visited Manchester with my boyfriend to see the football match and was recommended to stay in this hotel by a friend. I am delighted I chose to stay in this hotel. From the service to the staff I would highly recommend this hotel. All staff were extremely accommodating especially Param he was so friendly and welcoming our entire stay! I will defiantly be staying here again

Tea bags are not refilled daily. Water pressure of the shower is very weak. The light bulb outside the toilet is broken. Informed the front desk. The staff said a technician would fix it, but it was never fixed. No / extremely weak ventilation of the room. Hard to stay in the room after using the toilet. Very noisy as there is a pub beside the hotel broadcasting loud music. Needed to change to another room facing the other side of the hotel. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful though.

Hotel was clean with nice styling and friendly staff. The main let down as that the bathroom door in the room was a thin frosted glass which you could essentially see through. Last annoyance was that the shampoo in the room hadn't been filled which meant we had to shower with the hand soap. Not great. Had there been shampoo and some sort of privacy with the bathroom would have rated a 4 or 5.

I have stayed at the AC Hotel by Marriott Manchester City Centre twice now for both business and pleasure. Business stay consisted of 3 nights and the pleasure stay a single night. The attached pictures were from the Romance Package Rate. Both times I have found the stay to be amazing. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, from the receptionists to the bar staff and the brief encounter with housekeeping. Everyone always greeted and smiled, which made the trips significantly more friendly. The rooms were clean with a modern simplistic style. Perfect for those just wanting a room for the night. The water pressure was excellent, the location great and overall great value for money considering the prices in the area. The only thing to note, which some would consider a deal breaker is: There is ongoing construction around the side of the building on an adjacent lot. This didn’t impact any of my stays, but I believe they’re authorized to work between 08:30 – 17:00. In terms of the property, it’s based in a good section of Manchester City Centre with easy commuting options nearby like; Shudehill Bus/Tram Interchange – 5 Minute Walk with connections to most parts of Greater Manchester and surrounding boroughs. Manchester Victoria Train Station – 7/10 Minute Walk Manchester Piccadilly Train Station – 20 Minute Walk Also quite a few shopping/food places, which would be impossible to list them all but the mains ones being: Mackie Mayor – 3/5 Minute Walk Manchester Arndale & Arndale Food Market– 8 Minute Walk Would recommend a stay here if you find yourself in Manchester City Centre.

Perhaps the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I wish I could upload the pictures on here to show the state my room as left in. I left the room at around 7am and returned at 6pm to find that my room had been “cleaned”, however there was the indent of a person lying on the bed after the bed had been made. The coffee cups hadn’t been cleaned and had been returned to their holders, still stained. The teaspoons also weren’t replaced and were just left back in their spot covered in milk. Rubbish had been taken out of the bin and then left next to it and not removed. The only thing that had been done, was a fresh towel replacement. I called the front desk and had the manager come to inspect the bed, and he claimed someone had “just lent on it”. This is completely false, as you could also see the footprints from shoes at the edge of the covers. I asked if anyone aside from housekeeping had access to my room and he confirmed they hadn’t, so it appears housekeeping decided to have a lie down after making my bed. I have never felt more uncomfortable sleeping in a bed as I did that night. As an apology for the lack of replacing the tea cups, the manager had a “complimentary” tea brought up to my room, that they then tried to charge me for. There was no other offer to rectify the state of my room, and when I asked to move rooms to a clean one where no one had sat on my bed, I was told that’s not possible. When checking out, the morning manager asked if there was anything they could do to rectify my stay, which was incredibly uncomfortable to be asked. I should have been offered a refund for my stay then and there. Expecting your customer to request this is just uncomfortable for everyone involved. He then asked me at 7:50am (when I needed to be at work at 8am), if I would like a complimentary breakfast. Well an offer from the manager the previous night would have gone a lot further, so I could have arrived at breakfast at a suitable time before needing to leave. Asking me the morning of when I’m checking out is absolutely useless! The manager also mentioned they would be in touch via email after I checked out with the contact details of who I can further my complaint to, and I am yet to receive an email. I also haven’t been refunded my deposit, which after 2 weeks is terrible AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. There are far nicer places to stay in Manchester. If I can suggest the Cow Hollow Hotel to anyone who wants a real hotel experience at far cheaper than this poor excuse for a hotel.

I have almost two weeks in this hotel, and it is possible to extend it further, but I must evaluate from now, a better than the wonderful hotel in all respects, very clean, and they always ask permission when cleaning time to be, high security, more than wonderful staff+ the little lady in the restaurant, she is so sweet, Also Mr.Puneet, because he is a very cooperative and respectful person. The location is close to everything you want. In the end, I expect it to be the best hotel in Manchester for quality and price! Thank you so much.

I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel, it’s amenities and location, but most importantly it’s staff. Probably the most attentive and genuinely caring staff I’ve ever come across and I’ve stayed at a dozen hotels before. Will definitely come back and can without any hesitation recommend this hotel! A special shout out to Puneet at the front desk btw - you’re a star :-)

Stayed here 3 nights. A lovely hotel, quite central so easy to get to bars, restaurants and shops by foot. Rooms are lovely and clean with lots of space. Beds are huge and comfy. The bathroom was okay, a bit tight and the glass door is see through. No where to hang wet towels and the shower screen didn't keep the water in. Nice heated mirror though, which helped when getting ready as it didn't steam up. Staff weren't very welcoming or friendly at any point during our stay. They didn't really acknowledge us when entering or leaving the building. The fire alarm went off within an hour of arriving and the building had to be cleared. Finding the stairs was a mission in itself, and when we finally found our way to reception, the alarm went off and staff were just standing behind reception. No apology. No , it's fine, you can go back now. Basically nothing and definitely not the kind of service I expect in hospitality.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The staff was kind. We got complimentary (free) mini-bar, flip-flops and robs. But we had a few issues: 1. The room was missing a lot of light especially for my partner which wasn't able to do her makeup. 2. There were loud noises from the construction site. 3. The TV was not working and we tried many times to get help but with no success in making it work. Overall worth the price but can be improved.

Room was fine, only issue is that the shower layout is useless. It's that glass walk in shower with no door or curtain to keep water from splashing out. So after every shower the whole bathroom floor is wet. Aside from that tho, no complaints.

Avoid if you want a peaceful nights sleep - the hotel is right next to a lively restaurant/bar where there was loud music until 1am in the morning. It is also next to a building site where work commenced at 7am onwards. I stayed 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) and didn’t get much sleep at all! I phoned reception at one point to ask if they had any earplugs (as now looking back on previous reviews I am not the only person to complain about this) and they were very rude and said it would stop soon. The rooms themselves are okay although the bathrooms could do with being more spacious. Breakfast was also okay but not great. Would not recommend.
