An obvious hidden gem Stayed here on a Saturday night in January when attending an event in Manchester. I got a really warm welcome from the gentleman on reception as soon as I walked in. I had a drink in the bar before heading out and all three of the team I spoke to were friendly, polite and really lovely to speak to. It’s the first time I’ve stayed here but I’ll absolutely be staying here again when I’m in town.

Stayed just 1 night, it was very nice, clean, tidy and a friendly staff. The bed was massive, the room was large and it had everything we wanted, but did not want to pay £2.50 for a can of diet Coke. Close to Piccadilly station and the centre of Manchester.

An elegant and cool hotel. Has the charm of the old factory building with the practical aspects of a modern hotel. Loved the room and location. Breakfast was good with healthy options and reasonable portions. When we had a small technical issue in our room the staff was quick to fix it. Everyone we interacted with was nice and helpful. Check out was very quick.

Great location near the train station and walking distance to everywhere in the northern quarter. Rooms are clean and quiet. Only had breakfast in the attached restaurant but food was delicious and service attentive.

Quirky rooms, super soft beds. I always think I prefer a hard bed but have such a great sleep here. Perfect location for the station

We recently visited for an overnight birthday weekend stay, the staff from arriving to leaving couldn’t do enough, there was a nice little cheeky upgrade to a suite which we didn’t expect, but then found out that if you book direct with the hotel then they’ll upgrade you if they have the availability, defo go direct 😉 The brasserie bar is also a great place for food and drink too. We’ll definitely be back, thank you 🙏

Have stayed before and had a great stay but this time my observations, check in fine and I stayed in room 409 which was very clean and very nicely furnished but there was a strange smell in the bathroom but as only there one night didn't complain, just kept the door closed. Breakfast fine although for some reason waitress forgot my order, so had to ask where breakfast was after 30 minutes, she apologised however and was given food quickly. Like others have said though, I tried to turn on the aircon in the morning as room was stuffy but did not seem to work, whatever I pressed. May have been me though as not technically minded! Stay again, 50/50 to be honest.

Go to Hotel in Manchester, great service from the staff, special shout out to Omar. Rooms are great. Bar/restaurant is a great place for meetings, lunch and after work drinks. The Art Deco look of the bar/restaurant makes it a great place to chill.

Stayed at Abode in The Finch suite this weekend just gone.. phoned up and booked direct through a staff member by the name of 'Omar' who's customer service skills were second to none, what a brilliant lad who was easy to talk too and also very helpful. Cant fault the hotel or our stay at all.. clean, smart, comfortable and all the staff so friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A stand-out hotel, lovely staff and service, great drinks and breakfast, awesome rooms with the widest beds. No hesitation recommending it. Friday Drinks. We had a few cocktails and other drinks before heading into town. It was perfect, with great table service. The three staff behind the bar were very attentive, nothing too much trouble even including coming up with 2 custom cocktails to suit our tastes on a very hot evening. Breakfast. We spent a happy couple of hours in a booth with the papers. The nicest breakfast experience we've had in a very long time, it made our morning just as significant as the evening before. A novel concept these days: no buffet. Instead a great menu with something for everyone and all served a la carte with great service. Everything from freshly squeezed orange juice to light healthy dishes, traditional English breakfast or in my case Skakshuka: baked eggs with spinach broccoli Greek yoghurt and chilli. Saturday afternoon. Returned after shopping, jaded and thirsty. The same three bar staff from Friday night were on hand to liven us up with hot and cold drinks. Night Team. Biggest thanks go to Omar and Ben for being so helpful, I couldn't sleep and hung out in reception for a couple of hours early Sat morning so as not to disturb the wife. Reception. Smooth check in and out, plus after checkout left our bags for most of the day to go shopping. Have stayed in many luxury hotels around the UK, Abode surpasses the majority of them in all aspects, particularly the staff and the service they provide.

Lovely hotel, great location and really good staff. We celebrated my birthday in the bar where we were welcomed with the kids. Bar was quiet except for our party of 14 adults and children. The bar staff made none alcoholic shots and cocktails for the older kids, which they absolutely loved and entertained them for hours. We had a lovely night until the night security guard game on. He pulled my friend to one side and said some other guests had complained about us and we should leave. Only a few other people had been in the bar all evening and I don't believe anybody had complained. I also think it was rude to treat us that way after the money we had spent all evening. The Asian security guard (don't have a nice) was completely different than the rest of the staff and took 1 star away from my review. However, I do recommend this hotel and the service from all the other staff was the best I could have asked for. Our visit date was 11th Feb 23. Thanks

I enjoyed my stay here. The decor is kinda trendy retro art deco. Everything was really clean and the location is great. The staff were all polite and nice. The bed is very comfortable and the amenities work as expected. We stayed in the superior double and I would have expected 2 sets of towers but we got one set of towels and an extra set in a bag. In the end we had all we needed but found it odd that the second set was labelled as extra! Not sure if this is typical but it was 2 pounds for the water in the room. For a 140per night stay, I would have assumed the water would be free and separate to the minibar but maybe that's an incorrect assumption. We got a room only rate so don't know much about the food but their restaurant looked really nice! All in all I'd recommend it and would stay again.

Called in to meet up with my Cousin's for Coffee only ( There first time visiting as they were on holiday from Ontario, Canada). What a beautifully restored and elegant building. Have a good look on the Hotel's website as I'm sure you will be very impressed with its style and Decor as we were! Extremely helpful Staff . Although our own visit was brief, we were suitably impressed and I'm sure my Cousin's were too , especially as they have staying overnight. I'll write another comment in a few days as to their experience but I'm sure it'll be a in huge thumbs up.

We booked a special offer package with this hotel directly for a birthday weekend. We spent ages searching and to be fair it was a good deal. I received confirmation of the booking (including reservation numbers), however it said ‘payment pending’ next to it. As there was no facility on the website to renter the card details, I left it and assumed the hotel would contact me if there was an issue with payment. I logged back on to their website the following evening and it still said ‘payment pending’. I phoned immediately and gave the reservation details, but these could not be found on the system so the reception emailed the reservations team with an ‘urgent’ titled email. I had still not heard anything the following day so rang again to check. I was told the reservation wasn’t valid and the deal was no longer available. Also the cost of the room was circa £50 more (as it was last minute), without any of the extras. On principal this is not right. A simple option on the website to renter payment details or contact from the hotel would have overcome this problem.

Beautiful room, excellent location just on Piccadily but still quiet. Bathroom was gorgeous. Pleasant check-in experience and service at the front desk. And all for a good price. Breakfast experience wasn't great, we waited 40 minutes before we got our food and there were only a handful of guests in the restaurant. It was like we had been forgotten? When food came it was lovely and staff were apologetic but not very good from what was otherwise a lovely stay.

Awful experience. Booked standard twin room and paud £190 for one night. We were given a room with a broken AC. The reception staff already knew about the AC as the guest who stayed previous night also reported. But this was not fixed and room sold again. They decided to stick two portable fans which where noisy and had to keep windows open. Seriously I paid £190 this kind of experience. In that case I coule have paid £60 at Travel Lodge down the road. Completely rip off and awful experience. And there is no excuse for this. You made me pay full £190 for the room, I expect a working room. It is your responsibility to get thinga fixed and right.

Fantastically placed near Manchester Piccadilly, well styled rooms and good service, this was a well kept secret of a place. The room was a good size and well provisioned, the breakfast menu fab and the bar a delight (and a shock to one used to London prices!). A lovely place and great staff: would revisit!

Boutique style hotel and a complete contrast to the sterile modern hotels. Whilst their was a very busy pub adjacent to the hotel, double glazing blocked out any unnecessary noise. This was also offset by the excellent location to the northern quarter, Piccadilly Gardens as well as the train station. General decor was lovely. The bed was excellent.

It started well, lovely hotel good welcome spacious room but it didn’t end so well. Your supposed to leave a hotel refreshed. I left needing a shower. Whilst I appreciated things go wrong and I was unlucky to be in a room in which a pipe had burst overhead and water was pouring into my room, I would have expected the team to be a little more accommodating in how they retained me as a returning guest. They delay with the situation very poorly indeed and I won’t be returning. Shame really.

Great location and accommodation. Appalling service, particularly at Breakfast. Rooms were perfect and everything we needed was there. Location was good, in the centre of the action and next to taxis to travel anywhere you need. Contrasting to that, we went down to Breakfast. We asked for a table of 7. The wait for the table was excellent, it was ready just in time that the rest of the family was down from their rooms. From this point onwards, things started to go down hill. We sat down, got water for the table, and waited to be served. Note: The staff were taking walk-ins, where orders were being taken, charged, and people finished and walked out. We waited for an hour! There were at least 5 tables that were served and out in the time we were waiting. It took until a family member to address the issue to a waitress, to take our orders. Around 45 minutes had passed; none of us had breakfast yet. It was almost 11 and we needed to check out of our rooms. The family got up and went to the manager to make a complaint about waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes (We became late for check-out).The Manager was impolite and dismissive in response and tried to blame us. We got half our food, and two plates were wrong. It took a further 15 minutes to get the rest of the food, but I never received the rest of mine, so I gave up. 2 hours for Breakfast was too long. We will not be staying again.

Really good location next to the Piccadilly train station. Unfortunately the rooms are really dated and lack sound proofing. If your room is next to the main road, it can be really noisy.

Horrendous attitude toward customers and lack of empathy or understanding toward a simple request. I was willing to lose £75 on my Saturday booking to change to a Sunday and was met with rude and sadly spiteful reservation staff. Toxic hotel environment and I would much rather not stay at this hotel and lose my full payment for my booking. Horrendous!

This was my first experience staying in a hotel and I have to say that it entirely met my expectations. The concierge staff were polite and helpful. And the rooms were spacious and clean. I ended up having a great night's sleep and check out was simple and easy. I would definitely recommend and I plan to come again.

It’s okay, but not amazing considering the price tag. Street noise was probably my main issue (I stayed on the 3rd floor). Along with the smokers who are able to smoke right at the entrance to the hotel (and no, there are not any no smoking signs). Beds are comfortable though. But again for the price, I was expecting a nicer experience.

Great value centrally located hotel. 5 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Bars, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, great to have an iron and ironing board in the room too! Staff really helpful and friendly. Smooth easy check-in/out. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Manchester.

My wife and I arrived in Manchester around midnight and our previous hotel had overbooked their rooms. We desperately walked around until we came to Abode; Chris really took care of us and showed excellent professionalism. Very thankful and we’ll be back!

Superb stay at the Abode Manchester while visiting the city for conference. The hotel is situated very close to the piccadily station, which is super convenient for those traveling in from London. Arriving at the hotel I was presented with a warm, inviting, and friendly reception. Staff were polite and helpful. (Unfortunately the resturant wasn't open for food, however, there are a number of eateries within walking distance). My room, situated at the front of the hotel, was a small double, with a good shower and bathroom facilities. The double glazing is good at preventing noise from the streets below and thick curtains block out most the light too. Highly recommended stay if visiting the city for business or leisure.

Fantastic. The staff are engaging and accomadating , both professional and approachable. The hotel, it's like a mini Kimpton Townhouse, adorned with beautiful glazed tiling for which Manchester's top hotels are becoming famous. Yes, there will be a little street noise, but the comfortable and high end looking rooms, with impressive high ceilings and deep drop curtains, absorb you, as you settle in for a night , or prepare for your big day out. We hope you enjoy the Abode hotel, just as much as we did. Oh, and by the way, their breakfast is the best kept secret in Manchester, we're breakfast veterans in hotels, this one is up there above some of the elite places we have eaten at. Bravo.

I stayed last night on busness as i thought i would try this place instead of the Hilton Double tree. Mistake. The rooms are decorated in a retro style and they are OK. The bed was large but very very soft to the point of being uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the air con decided to stop working at about 11pm and so the room became hot and stuffy. I paid for breakfast (£18) on check-in which was an error. I walked into the restaurant at 8:45 to be greeted by a couple of guests eating and almost every other table covered with dirty plates. A member of staff eventually turned up and invited me to sit at what was possibly the only clean table. I ordered Eggs benedict and when it eventually arrived, consisted of two warm-ish poached eggs with what seemed to be half a packet of ham hock, on a slice of sourdough. The ham was fatty. The bread was soggy. Probably the worst eggs benedict I have been served and inedible. I then ordered soughdough toast and croissants but they had apparently "run out" of croissants. Therefore, for my £18 I managed to consume 2x slices of toast and a glass of apple juice. Thankfully my company and not me is picking up the bill. I will not be returning.

Lovely hotel in a great central location. Our room was great, glad we upgraded for an extra £20. There was no noise, very spacious and beautifully decorated. Good shower, air con and everything very clean. Reception staff were all very helpful. Good value hotel. I would recommend booking direct as you get a later check out if available.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
