The signature suite was one of the top three hotel rooms I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot for work. The staff was kind and helpful and the lobby was warm and welcoming. I loved having his and her bathrooms with a walk-in shower, freestanding bathtub, separate commodes, and a lighted sitting area to get ready at. Every detail was thought of from cookies for our morning espresso in the room to the secondary door inside the room blocking light from the hallway to extra towels for the bathtub with a towel warmer. The valet even left mints in the car.

Didn't stay at the hotel, came as a local resident with 10 friends for coffees. We sat in a small area of the lounge and only saw 3 other guests use the space with us. We split into two groups to avoid disturbing other guests by being too loud. Lovely atmosphere, soft music, chilled vibes. Front door staff were extremely welcoming and friendly with good knowledge about the local area and neighbouring businesses. Staff at the entrance of the lounge were super polite and very hospitable in helping my guests to find our group. Bar staff allowed us to pay individually per drink, although one staff member did make us feel less than welcome, asking us not to move any of the chairs and tried to encourage us to move to a much less comfortable stool-based table but we plainly refused. We've never had any problem in any other hotel moving a chair to a different table, perhaps Dakota prefer their lounges to be empty of people? Only other oddity is that the bar staff only have a coffee machine in the restaurant so service is pretty slow for hot drinks. For a hotel of this quality it seems odd that they can't afford two espresso machines. Otherwise the hotel was as expected, the terrace looked lovely and if we return we'll see about sitting out there if it's available. The hotel was very clean, furniture comfortable, if a few too many cushions, and the ambiance was superb.

Cannot fault this hotel. Staff were all fabulous, very friendly, professional and more than helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. Rooms very clean and well thought out. Food and drinks all great quality. Plush and elegant lounge area/foyer at check-in with beautiful smell (I am so funny about smells as they really set the atmosphere). Will definitely be returning later this yr or early next.

Receiving bags from concierge was a little slow on getting to our room. This impacted getting ready for dinner and drinks in the bar beforehand a bit of a rush. I think we were unlucky with others arriving at the same time, although being updated on delay would had been preferred opposed to calling and chasing reception to find out what was going on after nearly an hour of not getting bags brought to our room. Nonetheless a lovely hotel. Room bar and restaurant all very nice indeed with high standard of service overall.

One of my favourite hotels. Super accommodating for children without feeling like a kids place. Good food and a nice wine list. Beds are comfortable and king size if not super king. Great shower with nice toiletries. Restaurant and bar do often get filled up may want to book. Clean, modern, great location plenty of good brunch spots around.

Fantastic hotel, staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you so refreshing to have excellent service without having to pay through the roof! The hotel was very clean. My hotel room was very clean and cosy. I will absolutely come and stay in this hotel again when in Manchester, thank you very much to the team and the management, very well run slick hotel. 5* all the way in my view 🙏🏽 breakfast lovely excellent presentation. Valet parking guys were great, front of house and lady at the bar.

I stayed in my room for about 45 minutes since my flight was cancelled. It was the best 45 minutes of my business trip to Manchester. Luxurious room, wonderful bathroom, comfortable bed. The time I spent in the bar area preparing for my business meeting was also very comfortable and I was looked after well by staff. Hoping to stay longer next time

Could not give this hotel enough praise. We were there over Christmas and were treated wonderfully. I first contacted the concierge (Pino) about a month before our visit to see if he could help me arrange meals around town during our stay. He went above and beyond by calling literally every restaurant in Manchester to help get us secured. Francesca with the on-site Dakota Grill was also amazing to work with in planning Christmas eve dinner at the hotel. On site was just as spectacular. Operations Manager, Tom, was amazing! Can't say enough about his professionalism and high quality level of service. In the bar and restaurant, Ben made sure everything was smooth and that we were getting the very best 5-star service. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. I'll only stay here for future visits to Manchester.

An amazing hotel. We were walmly welcomed by Diamond who very kindly offered us a later checkout and sent 2 glasses of fizz to our room after finding out we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The room is tastefully decorated, amazing comfortable bed and great bathroom. Full Sky tv available including movies and sports. Definitely be back again and well worth a stay if you want to treat yourself to a bit of luxury.

Went for my husband’s birthday on Saturday 23 December. All the staff were so kind, and helped make the evening memorable. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the attention to detail was really appreciated. Whenever we come to Manchester again, we will definitely be back! Highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you again.

What a 5 star 🌟 high class hotel. We travel a lot and see different hotels but for a City Centre hotel this is very good indeed. We ate in the restaurant which was also very good & professional. A bit pricey on the drinks but otherwise great. Our room was impeccably clean & modern. Overall only the Savoy in London is better so far !!!

Fabulous Hotel . Wonderful atmosphere, amazing outside terrace , We had a large party staying for a big birthday celebration. Staff couldn’t do enough for us all to make the whole weekend experience an enjoyable and memorable occasion. Particularly like to thank Ben R for looking after us all so well and Andrew for making us feel so welcome. We will be back very soon.

This hotel is just fantastic. I’ve stayed at some of the most beautiful hotels in the world…this holds a candle to all of them. The service, the food, the decor, the cleanliness of the hotel are all fantastic. Leticia and diamond at the front desk are extremely welcoming. They made my stay in Manchester incredibly memorable.

This hotel definitely has a luxury vibe to it. We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room had aircon and satellite TV which was a nice perk. The hotel is a short walk from Piccadilly Station and in the perfect location for what we wanted to do in Manchester. The tramline is a really good service to use if you want to venture further out. We didn't opt to drive here as the parking at the hotel was quite expensive. I would say that this hotel is quite pricey, especially as you don't get breakfast included. My only two gripes were the city charge, we didn't get told about this until checkout, and we would have liked a bottle of water in the room, that would have been a nice perk. However, the hotel is lovely and the staff were friendly, definitely worth a stay.

The rooms are very comfortable, the restaurant is very nice. The food was tasty and so the wine. Nothing particularly bad happened, but I would expect the staff at the restaurant to be more friendly and efficient, especially because isn’t a cheap hotel.

Incredible restaurant with incredible food. The Rib-eye streak was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The Parmesan fries were also cooked beautifully. Our waiter Hans was impeccable and delivered one of the best fine-dining experiences we have ever had. 10/10 recommend!!

The Riverside Retreat Lodge was a peaceful escape by the riverbank. The gentle flow of the river and the surrounding nature provided a sense of calm. Our lodge room was cozy, and we could watch the river's gentle dance from our window. The lodge staff were gracious and provided excellent recommendations for riverside activities. This is a place where the river tells its stories.

Great hotel for a short stay in Manchester: location is super convenient to the train station, restaurants and bars. Staff are very friendly and helpful, room was quiet and nicely decorated and clean. A 5-star stay!

Absolutely superb. Loved every minute of it. The staff both in reception and in the bar were super helpful and professional. Rooms were lovely and had everything that you needed. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Well done to everyone involved.

Beautiful hotel and nice location, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Very modern and friendly staff. The only downside is that the decor is all very dark. There is no much light in the bedrooms, or even in the lounge or restaurant. I was having breakfast and in the ground floor and it felt like 10 pm.

A Remarkable Stay in Manchester! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Manchester and it exceeded all expectations. The rooms were not only spacious but impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after spending an intense day at the office. The highlight, however, was the breakfast - a fantastic spread that catered to all tastes. The restaurant in the lobby exuded a fabulous atmosphere, creating the perfect setting for memorable dining experiences. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Manchester!

Bar ambience perfect, restaurant & food lovely. The complimentary signature dish was delicious, staff couldn't do enough for our Party of family & friends Our Party where there for 4 hrs just eating & drinking with no care in the World, and at no time did the fabulous staff put any pressure for us to vacate the table. Fantastic experience, will definitely be heading back to Dakota of Manchester.

Wow. What a fantastic hotel - so beautiful inside and so much attention to detail. All of the staff really make everything feel so smooth and nothing was too much trouble. We chose the champagne and rose petals for our room which were beyond beautiful and such a romantic touch. Just want to say a HUGE thank you to Lilly and Latitia. Both were so lovely to chat to and made checking in and out an incredibly enjoyable and easy process. We bumped into one minor issue which was dutifully and respectfully followed up when mentioned, really putting the customers first in every way. Cannot thank the Dakota team enough for such a special stay we won’t be forgetting any time soon :)

We recently tried the tasting menu at the restaurant over my husband’s birthday weekend. The impeccable service was matched only by the exquisite cuisine. The menu showcased a perfect fusion of flavors, each dish meticulously crafted and presented. Every aspect of the evening, from the attentive staff, esp. Evie, to the culinary masterpieces, contributed to a memorable and delightful dining experience.

Rooms are great, check in staff were lovely and the hotel decor makes it a really nice place to be. However the experience was somewhat ruined when I tried to order breakfast. I called down to order and they said it would be over an hour for breakfast to come "because their kitchen was about to get busy"? Which didnt make sense as if its nit busy now why cant they just send an order up before it gets busy. A sad end to a usually nice stay at this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous food and cocktails! Loved the smoking terrace (fire and blankets were such a nice touch). Special mention to the lovely (and handsome) Irish Security guy!

Incredible Experience thanks to Lizzy and the bar and grill team! I celebrated my birthday in the private dining room with all my family and friends we all had an amazing experience at Dakota. Lizzy was extremely helpful with answering all my questions and allowing me to visit the venue prior to the event. She made sure that the day ran smoothly with no issues and I’m so very grateful for all her hard work. The rest of the bar and grill team were so attentive and made sure that we were all enjoying ourselves, we were definitely well looked after. The chefs did an incredible job of catering to all our needs and the food was delicious as always. We will definitely be returning to stay and dine at the Dakota Hotel Again.

A stunning hotel, with a beautiful rooms, badly let down by having an IT system that doesn’t work. No functional TV in either of our rooms, and a receptionist who was a very poor liar. Claimed I’d didn’t speak to her the day before, gave poor parking information, promised drinks would be sent up that weren’t and generally did not impress.

My husband and I just stay in the Dakota Hotel in Manchester. I couldn’t give this hotel any thing less than top marks 5/5. We stayed in a king size bedroom, it was so spacious and luxurious, with crisp white bedding, superb pillows and the most comfiest bed. We received a thank you note and box of chocolates from the manager for staying there which was a nice little touch. Luxury toiletries in the bathroom, a good mix of coffees and teas + hot chocolate. The shower was so powerful and we even had a separate bath. The hotel itself was spotless. The ambiance in this hotel is fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel and will most definitely be back. less

Great service, all staff are friendly. The rooms were amazing beds were comfy. Stayed for a birthday and the effort by the hotel was over and beyond. It’s the small details that makes this boutique hotel stand out beyond every other in the city. I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely amazing rooms, food, and overall experience. The lobby and rooms are finished to a very high standard, and all of the staff made us feel very welcome during our stay. The fillet steak is by far the best steak I've ever eaten. Katherine and Amanda in guest relations made our visit extra special by helping me with my surprise proposal, arranging extra decorations to be set up in our room such as rose petals, balloons, and champagne, while we were having dinner. Nothing was too much to ask, and we will be 100% staying again!

went to the Restaurant...I must admit the dining experience was excellent. Everything from Food, Service Wine Selection were great. Just be careful when ordering Cocktails at £12.00 each. We ordered 4 Espresso Martini to finish off a really lovely evening only to receive 4 half glasses of Espresso Martini. I believe only 2 Cocktails were made and split into 4. We got barely a mouthfull. I pride myself in making excellent Espresso Martini and know what the measures are...What we received was not adequate. Would certainly return for a meal but would never order Cocktails again.

From start to finish it was a great experience very stylish hotel wonderful staff that are a credit to Dakota . The garden room was fabulous as was the breakfast the valet parking was very straightforward and a lovely touch to have branded water and mints in the car when we departed. We booked for our Anniversary and would highly recommend Dakota. Thank you all very much.

Went for a business lunch. We had booked a table in the terrace but nothing had been reserved for us & upon arrival we struggled to find staff. Service came in fits & starts & although our server was lovely she could’ve done with more support as we had to ask for our drinks 3 times. Food was good, calamari, fish cakes & cauliflower very good. Truffle & Parmesan frites we shared were cold & hard by the time they got to the table.

Manchester has really good restaurants but not great restaurants. A thing I use to say until I went to Dakota Grill. Came here for my girlfriends birthday and it was simply spectacular. From the service, ambiance, decor and ultimately the food, the experience was a rare five stars. The food was delicious and they actually know how to do a steak properly. We were treated like top notch guests and the staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. Already recommended this place to friends who are looking for a luxurious yet great tasting meal and experience. I am definitely heading back here soon!

Yes, the hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the Northern Quarter, Ancoats and the city center. Yes, it’s a great modern property with spacious rooms. But what makes this hotel one of the best I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world is the staff. Friendly, funny and always going the extra mile they made this a brilliant weekend stay. We’ll be back.

Best hotel I've ever stayed it. Modern, cosy, clean. The staff are fantastic really looked after us. We stayed for my graduation and they were told it was for this and left me champagne on ice on the room and vegan chocolates (I'm lactose intolerant). They were really attentive and checked to make sure everything was OK and we had everything we needed.

My favourite hotel in Manchester. Lovely restaurant for breakfast and dinner with both fine dining and casual options. The location is perfect, close to the train station and easy to get around Manchester by foot or public transport. The rooms are spacious and quite with excellent amenities.

Had “taste of Dakota” Cannot express how amazing the food is especially the steak cooked to perfection and we eat out a lot and are very fussy! Staff amazing, food amazing. Expensive but worth it. Recommend the melon drop cocktail x

We recently celebrated a birthday at Dakota Manchester. I would definitely recommend, the Sunday lunch was perfect, especially the roasties! The service was exceptional and will be coming back for more. Can't wait to stay over in November.

Once you realise the dog isn't real, you're greeted by the lovely chatty staff at the front desk. Diamond was great and gave an extra hour for checkout. The room was spot on, clean and everything stocked. Sky TV too!! Hayley in the bar kept the drinks flowing and made our time in the bar enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious

I must express my deep disappointment with hotel situated in the heart of Manchester. While I initially had high hopes, my experience quickly turned sour. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was indeed enjoyable, however I cannot overlook the exorbitant price that tarnished my entire stay. I was initially quoted £380 for the room, only to have the hotel inform me, just an hour later, that the price had soared to a jaw-dropping £690. Such an astronomical and unjustifiable price increase left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of. While I had contemplated granting this establishment a five-star rating for its otherwise positive attributes, the exorbitant pricing debacle has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

One of the greatest hotels I’ve stayed in, staff are great, concierge incredible very helpful. Room is spacious shower and bath immaculate, room service food isn’t all that past 10pm but due to location of the hotel very easy to use Uber eats for late night food. The hotel bar is great with the cigar room and smoking terrace 10/10!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dakota's, only for food and drinks, and I must say I love it, the menu offered a wide variety from seafood to vegetarian options (highly recommend the cauliflower). The service provided was also excellent. Honourable mention to Aldane and Alexa from the moment we arrived, Aldane greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcomed, very attentive and his friendly demeanor set the tone for the entire evening. Alexa's professionalism and dedication to providing exceptional service were evident throughout our time at the bar. She took the time to engage in meaningful conversations, making us feel like a valued guests. I highly recommend visiting 🫶🏾😀😀

I was a bit wary to go to a bar and grill place recommended for the steak as I cannot eat beef for dietary reasons, but the options are pretty accommodating. I had the fish and my friend had the pork belly. The appetizers were really nice. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the grilled cabbage. There were complimentary bread and goat cheese as well. Can't really say about the bar as we're non-drinkers. This was actually from 23rd December so I'll also say that the atmosphere was very relaxing and had a sort of subdued festive cosiness vibe, which was exactly what we wanted.

I can’t make comment on the rooms as I was only visiting for Sunday lunch but wow! what a hotel! A warm welcome from a very polite gentleman in the foyer, incredible interior and the best roast beef dinner and sticky toffee pudding that I have ever eaten! Cooked to perfection, delicious and fresh I would highly recommend this beautiful venue.

Location of this hotel couldn’t be any better. We also loved the modern and simple decor. Beds were comfortable and the shower was quite big. There were outlets with all sorts of usb and ucc ports. I loved the metal slab on the table where you can rest your hot hair straighteners and curlers. The only thing we would suggest is adding a mini fridge to the room, and to add more lighting options. Other then that our stay was amazing. We will definitely return 😊.

So, I've stayed in some of the best hotels in the world - Park Hyatts, Four Seasons etc etc. I personally would rank this up there with them. I have no idea why it's 4 stars. Service is incredible, atmosphere is amazing, food is great and the staff are the best!

Didn't stay in the hotel but went in for drinks. Love the atmosphere and drinks were amazing. Only 4 stars for service as even though it was table service, we found we needed to go to the bar to ask for more drinks But the staff were brilliant.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
