Didn't
stay
at
the
hotel,
came
as
a
local
resident
with
10
friends
for
coffees.
We
sat
in
a
small
area
of
the
lounge
and
only
saw
3
other
guests
use
the
space
with
us.
We
split
into
two
groups
to
avoid
disturbing
other
guests
by
being
too
loud.
Lovely
atmosphere,
soft
music,
chilled
vibes.
Front
door
staff
were
extremely
welcoming
and
friendly
with
good
knowledge
about
the
local
area
and
neighbouring
businesses.
Staff
at
the
entrance
of
the
lounge
were
super
polite
and
very
hospitable
in
helping
my
guests
to
find
our
group.
Bar
staff
allowed
us
to
pay
individually
per
drink,
although
one
staff
member
did
make
us
feel
less
than
welcome,
asking
us
not
to
move
any
of
the
chairs
and
tried
to
encourage
us
to
move
to
a
much
less
comfortable
stool-based
table
but
we
plainly
refused.
We've
never
had
any
problem
in
any
other
hotel
moving
a
chair
to
a
different
table,
perhaps
Dakota
prefer
their
lounges
to
be
empty
of
people?
Only
other
oddity
is
that
the
bar
staff
only
have
a
coffee
machine
in
the
restaurant
so
service
is
pretty
slow
for
hot
drinks.
For
a
hotel
of
this
quality
it
seems
odd
that
they
can't
afford
two
espresso
machines.
Otherwise
the
hotel
was
as
expected,
the
terrace
looked
lovely
and
if
we
return
we'll
see
about
sitting
out
there
if
it's
available.
The
hotel
was
very
clean,
furniture
comfortable,
if
a
few
too
many
cushions,
and
the
ambiance
was
superb.
