We stayed here 5 nights. We requested a quiet room, and it definitely was - with the window closed we didn’t hear anything from either the motorway nor the nearby clubs. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold items, was reasonably priced, especially if you booked in advance, and even the coffee from the machine was great. Very convenient location. Staff were lovely and very accommodating - nothing seemed to be any trouble. The pillows were quite firm, but softer ones were provided on request. We loved the funky decor and fittings - it had the cutest and well designed ‘pod’ bathroom. Very reasonable price, we would stay here again.

Good sized room. Large comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and professional. They did not read the room number out at check in which is good safety awareness for women on their own. Very little noise during the night. Great location and good value for money.

Very good location, near to the city centre and you can go by walk. Staff positive and sympathetic. I asked about a little surprise for my partner, as the trip was his birthday present and they totally satisfied me. The only thing is cleanliness of the room that should be Improved, curtains need to be changed. Overall, good stay for a couple a days.

We booked this hotel due to fairly positive reviews and low cost. However, what we found was a dirty and noisy disappointment. The room we were given was dusty and unclean. The bathroom had stains and looked as if it hasn’t even been wiped down between guests. When we pulled the covers down on the bed we were greeted by multiple hairs and unclean sheets. The pillows were stained and rock hard. The towels provided for the shower were also stained and had holes in them. When we told the reception about our room, they reluctantly offered to have housekeeping re clean the space. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff member who turned up was rude and unhelpful. At half seven we were woken by hotel staff shouting down the corridor to each other. What is most worrying is after leaving our room to spend the day shopping, we came back to find our door had been left wide open by the cleaning staff. Thankfully nothing had been taken but this left us feeling extremely unsafe, as our passports were in the room. The rooms have no safe to lock valuables away. We would have left if we could find an available room in another hotel. This hotel is unprofessionally managed and let down on numerous fronts. Avoid at all costs.

The location is perfect if you are looking to go out into town and want to explore the city. The check in and check out was very efficient. The room was spacious however the smell of the drainage from the bathroom was quite bad especially in the morning and during the night. If this issue is resolved, happy to stay here again.

Use this IBIS quite a few times when we attend a nearby monthly music event...never been any issues at all. Location is great for city centre, check in and out is seamless and staff are always nice. Rooms are comfortable enough, breakfast is fine and parking available across the road (chargeable as it does not belong to the hotel). Definitely be back for our next one in February.

Its a half decent location, most things are in walking distance and the things that aren't an "uber" or a "bolt" can take you to for a short 5 min car ride and £5.40 most of the time. The rooms where okay size and condition, service was good and it wasn't too noisy either. Would stay again.

Usual ibis standart for decent prices. Especially considering good location near city center and train station. Some may not like louder people during weekends because of nearby bars, but it was fine for us. There is a very friendly staff at reception, who remembered us, even though it was a year since our last visit. Breakfast was great. Will return again next year, if there will be an opportunity

Lovely room with decent amenities but mattress was way too firm, and be prepared for very loud music and crowds outside, or a stuffy room if you close the window to block out the noise as there's no true aircon, the sign for the controls mentioned it was just a heating/fan unit. Location is brilliant though with tons of restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

I stayed here for an animecon event with my child. It was within walking distance of the venue. Therefore it was very convenient. The front desk team was super friendly. It was a convenient place to stay for my purpose.

One of the worst nights sleep I have ever had, room 103 is right next to the traffic lights and the lowest room in the hotel. You can hear the traffic and late night revellers partying away. The toilet in the room smelled of urine and the room was fairly grotty. You’re better off avoiding this room altogether and maybe the hotel… Update: the hotel’s response says it all, why should we have to ask for a quiet room, surely all guests should receive this as standard.

Fair prices for good rooms. However it’s annoying and overwhelming seeing rainbow flags at almost every part of the hotel. Makes it feel like its only LGBT friendly. Straight people still exist!!

I came with my baby and my children And the staff treated me like a queen, all of them the two lady from Moldova, and the lady from malaysia and the receptionist, I guess from manchester. We had an issue with my landlord, but they truly took care of us like family Lots of kisses. We are in a safe place

Excellent spot and great service from hotel, have plans for another visit in another season. Good rooms and food and drink, tip always ask for a quiet room as it will be accommodated by hotel staff. Really impressed with Accor Hotels as a group that includes the Ibis..🙂🙂🙂

Must admit my heart sank when they told me my room was on the ground floor. I expected it to be noisy with dirty windows. It was incredibly quiet, with a nice view out of the window and the room was amazing for the price. Big, well furnished and perfectly clean. I was really impressed.

Perfect location, perfect staff and spot on price for what you get. Rooms were clean, and super quiet. We even had a small token of touches of chocolate in our room as it was our anniversary. Definitely recommend the location and hotel. Parking was around 12 pounds for 24hr and it was a stone throw away.

Helpful, friendly staff 👌. Clean rooms, service every day. Tasty breakfast. Delicious coffee. The only thing I would like to include in breakfast, is cheese 🧀. There wasn't any cheese. Amazing location 👌👏 very close to Centre and to buses 🚌. One and most important for me, was missing. At the entrance of the hotel writes in many languages the "welcome ". I repeat in many languages ! Except Greek. ΚΑΛΩΣ ΗΛΘΑΤΕ! ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΩ. Anastasia

More of it looks good, than its purpose of being a hotel. Did not opt for breakfast but from view it was standard english breakfast (corrected 😉). Rooms got serviced but found it strange our bed never been made just towels replaced as well as the strange A/C system and loud surroundings. Wouldn't call the rooms cozy either but nevertheless bed was comfortable just considering their asking price for this hotel Walkable distance from the station and rest of Manchester but Old Trafford for £6-£8 Staff where friendly

We experienced some challenges with the hotel's booking and cancellation policy. Despite realizing our mistake less than 24 hours after booking, the hotel was firm on their no-cancellation stance. Moreover, reaching the reception required multiple attempts, and my requests to speak with a manager were unmet. I was assured a return call, which unfortunately never came through. This experience left room for improvement in their customer service.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. The first time everything was perfect but unfortunately this time the room was poorly cleaned. Especially the bathroom had hair from the previous person everywhere. The sink, the toilet, the shower, even on the bed we found hair. The staff was as always kind and friendly and the hotel is well located (10-15 minutes walk to Picadilly).

  • 1/5 Angie L. 5 months ago on Google
The bed linen was not clean, a lot of dust and even had hair on it. There was no ventilation in the room, so needed to keep the window open during the night. However, it was super noisy from the traffic and people's shouting, couldn't sleep. We were paying a hotel's price but getting a hostel's experience. The shower water pressure was very weak. The only positive thing was thelady at the reception who helped us to check in, and the gentleman who helped setting up an extra bed at our room were super friendly.

Good location for those from Piccadilly, around a 5 minute walk away, and about 5-10 minutes the other way to hit the main areas. Rooms felt a little claustrophobic at times, and there were no extra pillows in the room so had to request them. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were great value. The menu is very limited but you are in a city with many great eating places so that is fine. Great WiFi. Would stay again

Great location and lovely staff. The rooms are functional and everything would've been great but all through the day the rooms are very warm with no ac or fans (we visited in March when outside it was cold, so I expect in summer it's stifling), and opening the window invites all the street noise you would expect from the busy area. Bathroom a bit tired and in need of a good clean.

Great location. Breakfast was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable if slightly tired in places e.g rust above bathroom door. Great hotel for the price. Would happily book again.

This hotel does what it needs to - a place to sleep and shower. Reception staff where mostly friendly. A few issues/concerns… - There is no security to the building after hours. Other hotels you have to use your key card to access the building or use the lift. Anyone can get in here. I didn’t always feel safe here. - It was really noisy. We went in a Friday and Saturday night. Even with the window shut, you could hear all the clubs and bars outside. - The bed was rock hard. You have not get one pillow each, so had to ask for more. Front desk bought more pillows up in minutes of asking. - Room was not serviced during the day. Did don’t expect a full turn down, but no fresh towels or tea/coffee. Again, had to ask but was bought up by front desk in minutes. - The shower leaked, the sink appeared blocked and drained really slowly. Sometimes smelt. - The room was clean, but needs some maintenance. Peeling paint on windows, stained sealant in bathroom. - Air conditioning blew hot air out, even on lowest setting. - Scaffolding and building works going in during the daytime. Mostly didn’t bother us as we were out, but due to medical condition I needed to rest in the afternoon, but it was not peaceful and was unable to fully rest. The building work was not made aware to us when making the booking 1 week before our stay. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d book here again. It wasn’t worth the £350 for 2 nights. 2 stars are for the excellent staff on front desk.

A good location for the city centre with only a 10-15 minute walk to most of the major shops and the Arndale Centre. Clean and helpful staff always make a stay more enjoyable, however the breakfast is not as good as a Premier Inn one. The eggs - well I think they were supposed to be eggs - tasted as though there were powdered ones. Reasonable selection though so, for what we paid, not bad at all.

Well organized with good staff. Nice location within easy walking distance of many of Manchester's many sights. Room a little on the small side but comfortable and clean.

Stayed here on a short trip back to Manchester and it was great. The staff were very attentive and happy to help quickly, the room had everything you could want in a budget hotel. The only downside was we thought it was more central, meaning there was a 15 min walk to picadilly Gardens. Would still stay here again though!

Absolutely brilliant hotel. How is it 2*?? If you get any room. Kettle, milk, sugar and tea are provided for you. Comfy beds. Staff polite. They helped me with the the problem with the TV remote as it needed more batterys. Thank you ibis hotel. Really recommend

Although small it's adequate, bathroom is OK. Not spotless. Bed comfortable though. Maybe rethink the lighting, hanging hazard! Decent enough location. When asking staff for something they look at you as if you have 2 heads. Very odd.

Amazing price for a city centre hotel. Bathroom was small but fully functional. Room was clean and modern. Mattress had topper. Lost 1 star as windows need updating (let some noise in) and sparse pillows not comfy.

Location was perfect for us with only a short walk to canal Street. The rooms ware a good size, clean, tidy, and nicely laid out. The staff were all absolutely amazing going above and beyond to be kind and helpful. Definitely will be staying here again.

Front desk staff was friendly enough. Room is in my opinion a bit substandard for the price I paid. Breakfast was fair. Cleaning staff is quite rude. They didn't say good morning when I greeted them going down for breakfast. Later they unlocked the room and walked in on my friend who was still getting dressed even though she'd answered the door to them explaining she was feeling unwell and that she'd only be a minute coming out of the room. I understand people need to check in but I think that is grossly unacceptable, unprofessional and an invasion of privacy. Additionally this hotel is a nightmare to find! Even the uber drivers had difficulty locating it. Can't say I'd ever stay here again.

The location is great, only a 5 minute walk from Oxford Station. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. In the weekend it can be very noisy outside. The rooms are ok, not as clean as we would like but good enough for sleeping.

  • 4/5 Chloe S. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel is in a good location, only a short walk from the train station. The hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment and my room smelt like a building site, of cement. But the breakfast was good. Even when breakfast opened at half six it was fully stocked with hot food, unlike the other ibis hotel nearby. The reception staff were friendly and if you're a member of the ibis loyalty scheme you get a free drink voucher on arrival. I would stay here again.

  • 2/5 Cinnamon W. 1 year ago on Google
The staff were lovely and the room was nice and clean snd a decent size however some negatives were too much. The parking shown attached to the building is closed and apparently was never open. The hotel lobby looked like a run down hostel. They had major building works going on that were not advertised to us when we booked. Woke up to continuous drilling and banging that was not pleasant.

  • 1/5 Estelle M. 1 year ago on Google
We woke on the first morning by extreme drilling outside our window at 8.30. No mention of this online at all, the manager didn’t even mention it when we checked in. I quickly pulled my clothes on and went to reception to talk to a member of staff about the noise. He said that management didn’t want to close the hotel and didn’t want to let customers know because they wouldn’t book. We did discover a notice in the lift about the work right up in the top corner well above eye level, and past the reception so you’ve already checked in and can’t run. Anyway, after the staff member tried to calm us down he told us they would try to help us transfer to another hotel but the prices would be higher and that we wouldn’t get a refund either for the first night, actually not even a complementary breakfast was offered to us. In fact he tried to reason with us and said look they won’t be drilling on the Saturday morning until 11am and you’ll be out probably shopping?! So that should be ok. This member of staff had to keep popping into the managers office for advice because the manger couldn’t even be bothered to come out and chat to us. The work is carrying on here so I would be cautious of staying here. Apparently it’s cladding work really important and customers should understand that when your woke at 8.30 by extreme drilling until 3pm in the afternoon. The worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in, Ibis management you money grabbing …..! Shocking.

No complaints for the price. They were kind enough to give me a very early check-in. Room was fine except for a strange gurgling in the bathroom (perhaps when other people were using the toilet in upper rooms?) which woke me up a few times during the night (room 417)

  • 4/5 Marie K. 1 year ago on Google
Very central and close to Oxford Road and Piccadilly stations. Staff were very polite and friendly. The room was a good size, clean in the main, but there were stains on the carpet and the shower tray hadn't been properly cleaned. Not much choice of tea and coffee and only one packet of sugar and two sweeteners.

  • 4/5 Melvin La S. 9 months ago on Google
Really good central location, good for walking around. It is in the centre so weekend evenings you can hear the clubs next door all through the night. Ear plugs definitely needed if you’re a light sleeper. Rooms are basic and Ibis standard, overdue a renovation but gets the job done. TV was strange, channels didn’t really work. You had the option of casting but that does not work. Wi-Fi is good for working, etc. Everything else works fine.

  • 4/5 Carol W. 10 months ago on Google
Basic room for one night. Bed comfy ,quiet room as requested. Facilities adequate. Breakfast was well worth it. Everything hot and replenished frequently as there wasn't too much out to go cold.

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
