This was a nice enough place for staying a couple of nights but honestly it wasn’t outstanding. The room was mostly clean but had a cheap feel to it and it was smelly. The bed wasn’t very large contrary to what was advertised and it wasn’t very comfortable either — very soft mattresses and cheap super big polyester pillows. There is no gym or anything offered on site. The staff were very helpful and friendly though. The bathrooms functioned well with good strong showers.

This was great for a quick overnight stay for an early train. Nearby to train station and not far from city centre either. Room was spotless and bed very comfortable. Receptionist was very welcoming and check in straightforward. Toiletries in bathroom had a luxury feel and towels were soft. Wished I could have stayed longer 😊

Was a bit unsure about booking here as the location, price and pics seemed too good to be true and I'd never heard of this chain before. I checked in yesterday for an overnight stay before heading to Manchester airport and was pleasantly surprised! Excellent customer service, amazing facility (modern, fresh and clean) and super comfy accommodations. The only thing that may separate it from a 4 or 5 star is no phone in the room and limited TV channels... but who needs either?! Will be marking this as a favourite for all my overnight stays in Manchester.

This is my fourth time staying here for a weekend, it is perfectly located if you are stepping off the train or coming via air. No walking hazzle with luggage to your accommodation just step off the train and walk a few meters out of the station. Located on the edge of the center so everything is with in walking distance and the metro system is good if you need to travel further

Absolutely great hotel. I have been taken there for my birthday and was great. Located in central Manchester stone throw from Piccadilly Train station. As soon You enter via main entrance You can spot very modern decor, nice lamps etc. ,also you will be welcome by friendly and helpful reception staff. Next to reception is bar (they also serve breakfast there) and lifts (check my photos). Rooms are clean, not very spacious but just about :), they are sound prooved also even with trams passing by you won't hear the thing. Breakfast- continental, quite good selection of jams, hams and cheeses. In overall very good experience with good views and vibes. Good value for money Review edit: only one thing on the minus side: no biscuits for the tea in the room draw :) Edit2 beds are very comfy and u will get different pillows so happy days

The service was really great and with an easy check-in and check-out. The room was really clean and the location was perfect. Right next to the train and tram station. You can also walk by foot trough Manchester, because everything is around 20 minutes away. This hotel is for everyone which is there because of work, holiday or whatsoever. I recommend it also if you prefer a modern and with a good price-performance.

We stopped here as we were due to fly from Manchester airport the next day. Usually we'd stop at the airport but this hotel offered a better deal at the time of booking and with its location close to the train station (about 5 mins on foot - with 2 suitcases!) it didn't add too much time to our day! The room was comfortable, big enough for a night or two. The bathroom was compact but had everything you'd need. Coffee and tea was also provided in the room. Downstairs they have a bar that offers a wide variety of drinks and a few snack options but you're also close enough to plenty of other eateries should you want more choice. The reception is 24hrs so it made checking out in the early hours really quick. Would definitely stay here again.

GREAT location. Literally a 5 min walk to Manchester Piccadilly train station. The staff is PHENOMENAL, very polite and helpful. We arrived 2 hours before check in and just relaxed in the lounge—there is a great place to cool your heels and just relax—and the reception staff came around to let us check in an hour early. The room is so clean, we’re only staying one night, so our demands are low, but it’s perfect for our needs. If we were staying longer I would prefer a larger room, but other than that I am VERY impressed.

Chose this venue as it is easy walking distance from Piccadilly station and was affordable. Friendly staff, nice decor and pleasant room. Yes the room is small and basic, but for a one night business stay, it was perfect. All you need is a comfy bed and somewhere to hand your clothes and have a refreshing shower. Nice big shower, though a little weak. Also only combined shower and hair wash. Right next to the train station and yet I didn't hear any noise. Maybe the slight rumble of the metro, but it was not enough to affect sleep. Breakfast was a good selection, continental meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, good cereals and pastries and toast. Altogether a great one night stay. Not that cheap, but then none of the hotels in that area are, so actually very good value considering.

Perfect one night stay in Manchester close to the train station. Stayed here after travelling for 18 hours, it was an easy journey from the airport. It was an easy check in service and I got a preference of room, I wanted one close to the elevator to make it easier with my luggage. The bed was really comfy had a great sleep, the size of the room was great was able to easily fit in two big suitcases and have room to walk around still. The room was clean and I loved the tea and coffee available. The shower was nice, had great water temperature. I got a really great place and would definitely recommend.

Nice people. Clean rooms and bathroom with a safe too. Not much other than a place to rest your head due to space but if you really have work to do, there's a little coffee table you can use

Since we were staying only a night, everything went well. Room was nice and clean, not huge, but enough space for a short stay. We asked reception for an iron and they brought one straight away. Check in - check out process was smooth. Downstairs they had a nice launch with the bar and breakfast areas. We didn’t use it, but looked nice. Location was good for us, as it was just outside the train station, and walkable distance to all the restaurants and shops.

Hotel was more design than substance. Essentially they are a posh IBIS basic. The room was ok, shower was good and the hotel looked clean. However some of the design features in the room were not good. No bed side cabinet on one side of the bed, bathroom lighting made shaving difficult, pillows way too soft, and self shutting bathroom door was annoying. However, that said, it was clean, a good location and only ,£69 on a Friday night

We really liked the staff, room was great, bar area etc downstairs was lovely and location was brilliant. Sometimes it all comes down to the breakfast though 😭 and for £12.50 there should be hot food not just continental. We were disappointed sadly. What was there was very good quality though Thanks for having us guys

I would like to extend a special thank you to Jack from the reception for going out of his way to accommodate our needs and be helpful. He was extremely polite, kind and professional and his devotion and skills are something that Is very rarely seen. I hope the Hotel appreciates and respects him as much as the customers do. Kudos Jack!

Rooms are a tad small, but okay for a couple of nights. The rooms are clean, however the shower in the room wouldn't get very hot at all, and the pressure wasn't great. The lobby is nice and welcoming, the bar area is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue was noise. My room was next to the elevators on the floor, and a group decided it was a great place to have a long conversation for around 30 minutes before leaving, which woke me up. The door didn't stop the noise.

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be let down. Love this place. Nice lobby area and bar. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Perfect location - next to the train station, gay village, and walking distance to most place-of-interests. Polite staffs. Highly recommended. 😊

Great location right near the station. The hotel is lovely and looks great when first walk in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was basic but nice. The shower could do with a new head but worked pretty well. The bed waw by far the best feature and super comfy. We where high enough not to hear any noise. Would definitely go again

Tasty drinks at the bar. Lovely staff I got there at 5am and fell asleep on the sofa, a lovely lady woke me up at 9am and let me check in which was very kind of her, made me feel very welcomed and cared for. Average room, very comfy bed. The interiors are lovely and it’s a nice hotel with a great ambience. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location to shopping, food, bars, and Chinatown. Rooms are efficient, clean, and have all the necessary amenities. There is a bar/snack lounge downstairs. Breakfast is an additional charge, but there are ample restaurants in the area. Fabulous price for the space. Staff are friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the train station. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a home base while travelling in Manchester.

The hotel is right beside the main train station in Manchester, making the location incredibly ideal. The lobby is very sleek and modern, and the reception was friendly. Rooms are really nice, but the top floor doesn't have a view as there's a balcony that you can't access with a tall stone wall blocking the view.

We stay at motel ones whenever we can as I think the price for rooms is usually very reasonable. It was a nice bright room, staff was friendly, the room service was superb. We opted to not have breakfast in house but whenever we passed it looked like there were plenty of options available. Location-wise it's ideal, next to picadilly station, great connections to everywhere really. Road is a bit too noisy to leave the windows open but the rooms have AC.

If you’re after a clean room, comfortable bed and convenient location at a fair price then this place is for you. Staff were friendly, especially on arrival and I was overall very happy with my stay. Will definitely be back again.

Overall really good value for money - a decent quality place for a decent price. Comfy beds with pillows that provide support. Free tea and coffee and shower gel. Great views from upper floors. I found the air conditioning in my room to be too loud to sleep with it on, though.

  • 5/5 Arthur N. 4 months ago on Google
Nice, clean, comfortable and decently priced accommodation. Very near Manchester Piccadilly train and tram station. The bar had a good selection of drinks too. Wifi is just a little slow but it was not a big issue for me.

Wonderful stay last week. Was meant to stay to see a gig, but it got cancelled! So did retail shopping instead and art galleries. Perfect base for taking in the sights of Manchester. Hotel was very comfortable. Cosy bed and wonderful views. Nothing is too much problem with the staff Thank-you for helping us with the door. Will be returning again in December, when the gig is rescheduled for.

I recently stayed at Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly for academic purposes, as I had an important exam the following day. While I have had positive experiences at this hotel in the past, this particular stay left me with mixed feelings. Upon staying in my room, I was disappointed to discover bugs on the bed. As someone with a phobia and discomfort towards bugs, this was an unsettling experience for me. However, I must commend the staff for their quick response in addressing the issue. They promptly arranged a room change, and I appreciate their efficiency and attentiveness in resolving the problem. Despite the room change, my unease with the bugs lingered, and it unfortunately affected my ability to have a restful night's sleep. As a result, I did not perform as well as I had hoped on my exam day. It was disappointing, considering my previous stays at this hotel had been comfortable and pleasant. While this one-off incident will not deter me from staying at Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly in the future, it has certainly made me more cautious and attentive to the condition of the bed. I trust that this was an isolated occurrence and not reflective of the overall cleanliness standards of the hotel. Aside from this issue, I must acknowledge the positive aspects of my stay. The location of the hotel is excellent, right by Piccadilly Station, making it convenient for transportation. The staff, apart from handling the bug situation, were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The overall ambiance of the hotel is modern and stylish, and the amenities provided were satisfactory. Based on my previous positive experiences and the hotel's convenient location, I would consider staying here again in the future, but with a heightened attention to the bed's cleanliness.

Wonderful stay. Really clean and tidy. We were given a 2nd floor room which had a walk in wet room. Arrived at 7.30am and the receptionist was able to check us in early so we could get ready for an event in the city. Really good location with many great places to visit within walking distance. Definitely thinking about booking again for next year.

I was staying for business & was very kindly checked in early by the friendly reception staff member. Although my room was near the lift it was very quiet & I slept well. The customer service was really good. In my rush to check out to get an early train home I thought I had left my necklace behind & I called the hotel. They looked for it & contacted me as soon as the room was inspected - it wasn’t there because it had actually fallen into my boot before I packed it 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I appreciated the effort they went to and how they communicated with me. I will stay again soon!

Absolutely gorgeous stay here this weekend. I was sceptical because of other reviews but we found that the rooms were spacious, clean and modern; it was quiet in the rooms even though the bar on the ground floor was hopping and the trains are only across the street. The beds are super comfy, best night sleep in a hotel I’ve had in a while! And the staff are really friendly and helpful. Well located for town and reasonably priced, we’ll be back again.

Really glad we chose to stay here. Three couples over three rooms. Hotel location for us was fantastic, just across from the train station. Hotel is stylish and staff at the reception were very helpful. Rooms was clean and tidy. Super comfy bed. I will stay in this chains hotels again. Thank you for looking after us.

Was staying in Manchester for a couple of nights and tried Motel One for the first time. First off, the communication and customer service during the booking was absolutely delightful! The check-in process was smooth and quick. Hotel location is perfect and close to all major transportation links. Room was clean, quiet and well-maintained. Breakfast wasn’t anything fancy but has everything you need. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the stay. We’ll definitely be staying here if we’re back in Manchester!

What a great hotel! quite reasonably prices, very modern and clean rooms & situated in great location for bars and restaurants. The bar and lounge we agreed was one of the nicest we've visited too. All great and we'd definitely return again hopefully soon.

Rooms are a little on the small side, but the place is clean and location is great. Breakfast looked a bit poor, we opted to visit 1 of the many nearby restaurants instead. Staff are friendly and allow you to store luggage after checkout, just make sure they give you all of your bags back before you leave- I nearly left without 1 of them!

Just loved my stay here. Didn't want to leave. Absolutely immaculate, the cleaners are amazing. Comfiest bed ever. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Couldn't find fault if I tried. A very big THANK YOU from me.

Convenient location across the road from the station and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Has all the basics for a short business trip. Friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable but small - wouldn’t recommend staying here for longer trips or if you have to share the room.

Only stayed for one night as we went to a concert at the O2 Apollo. Front desk staff were super friendly & helpful; lovely, cosy interior seating and bar area on the ground floor; clean & tidy room with a comfortable bed & clean bathroom. Well-priced & pretty well situated. Can't complain.

Easy check in. Room was ready earlier than official check in time. Lovely cosy looking bar area with good seating. Room was plainly furnished but comfortable and clean. Bathroom clean with some toiletries, Towels soft and fluffy. Very good location would happily stay here again. Late check out.

Wonderful little place. The lobby and rooms are very modern, clean and functional. Enjoyed my stay here and will certainly return in the future. Plenty of parking nearby and pretty central to everything you need in the city.

Hotel is reasonably priced, clean and in a great location. My room was on the 6th floor facing Piccadilly station, and I did initially have some concerns with noise but you could hardly hear anything outside. Amenities were good, tea and coffee in the room, with paper cups which I thought was a good idea (and hopefully recycled!).

  • 5/5 Shaun H. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly welcoming staff. The room was very high standard for the price. Very easy and quick walk to Manchester Piccadilly train station. Really glad I found out about this place and will definitely stay next time I am in Manchester.

I recently stayed here on a work trip and not only was the hotel itself lovely; modern, clean, comfortable and conveniently located, the reception staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and the Motel One chain. Libby in particular is my new hero. Hearing that I'd had trouble with prepping something for work she leapt into action, doing the absolute MOST to go above and beyond the call of any reception staff duties, working with me for over an hour to help me in my tasks. Libby you're a gem, thank you again for all your efforts!

  • 3/5 Molly O. 9 months ago on Google
Lovely hotel and staff are lovely. Unfortunately had very long waits to check in at reception. Also only downside to the hotel is i got woken up very early with the sound of the trams as it has them right outside very noisy. And could hear people who was directly above us shouting in the late night.

  • 3/5 Gemma W. 4 months ago on Google • 1 review
Staff friendly and very convenient location by Piccadilly station for my 1 night stay. Rooms very warm and despite following instructions could not get it to a reasonable temperature so I spoke to the front desk. They reset it so when I returned to my room I had to turn it on again and try and get it to temperature which seemed to work second time around. Air conditioning was very noisy, as was the hotel in general with noises from other rooms and the corridors despite asking for a quieter room on a higher floor. Ok for the price but wouldn’t rush back.
