Stay here was not the best. The beds are not comfortable lumpy springy and neither are the pillows. The worst thing is the key fob and physical key, they give you 1 per room so everyone gets stuck at reception trying to get back in as we were three in the room had to call up and get someone to come down and let me in. Reception desk it seems is hardly ever manned as staff are busy cleaning . They need to employ a full time receptionist. There is no restaurant in the hotel so you can have a cold box breakfast. As for lunch and dinner then use a restaurant nearby or order the food from a takeaway. The staff were very nice and helpful so no complaints there. Just the hotel needs a overhaul as it seems dated.

Small place but ok for an overnight stay. Could have been a little cleaner. Short on staff, Good location, lots to do in the vicinity.

I had reserved a four-person family room. After arriving at the hotel, we discovered that the room assigned to us could only accommodate three people. The receptionist informed us that the hotel was fully booked and that he would contact his manager. After speaking with his manager, he informed us that he would send us to a different hotel. We agreed and informed him that we had a 7 p.m. engagement. He reported sending an email to customer service. After approximately one hour of searching, I was able to locate him. He then informed me, to my surprise, that he had found another bedroom for us. Since we were extremely late, we had to take a taxi because the person who was supposed to pick us up could not wait any longer. After arriving late to our event, the situation deteriorated further, and we were forced to take a taxi back to our hotel. In conclusion, the circumstances were extremely aggravating. After formally claiming a refund, we han only been offered a (very questionable) free breakfast at certain hotels. Also, the bathroom was horrendously dirty (please see picture).

£137 for a nights stay in the most basic room ever. The lady on the morning desk couldn't have been more miserable looking and rude.

Large spacious and clean room. Public areas also well maintained. Better of nearby places to eat and for entertainment.

It was a pig to get to traffic was bad. Once in the room there was a leak from the celling and window so I let them know and I was moved to a new room and all good from there.

Had a 1 night stay here...it's a great location next to cinema and food halls. The room was clean and needed a little paint touch up. But on the whole it's was good for what we needed it for.

I chose this place for it's proximity to public transport and friends I'd be meeting, but it's possibly the worst Travelodge I've ever stayed in. The chap at reception was friendly and welcoming, especially when I requested an iron on arrival. It was only when I took it up to my room that I noticed the lid for the water compartment was missing so I had to take care not to scald myself with steam or water. No ironing board in my room, so I improvised with a spare towel over the dressing table. Onto the bathroom floor, I spotted what looked like a bloodstain and another dark mark which turned out to be a ball of someone else's hair, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. The bed was comfy and clean, but the room was so cold, despite the thermostat showing 20°, that I had to double up the duvet to stay warm. Night 1 was uneventful, but during Night 2 around 4.30am I was woken by the sound of a drunken lout trying to crash through my bedroom door, presumably having mistaken my room for his. Luckily he soon wandered off, but lit a cigarette so the whole corridor reeked of smoke. He was smart enough to open the windows in the corridor to try and get rid of the smell, but let cold air into all the rooms. I tried contacting reception via the premium rate number I found online. Great if you need to make or amend a booking at that hour, but when I selected the option to speak to a member of staff in the hotel, it rang out unanswered until a recorded message said there was no-one available. Just as well he hadn't broken my door down, caused serious damage, hurt himself or even attacked me. Shame on you, Travelodge, for not having someone on duty to deal with the matter. Shame on you for charging calls at a premium rate when I could have been in danger. Why is there no standard rate number for reception displayed in every room? The next morning, after a minimal amount of sleep, I was in a hurry to meet up with my friends, so I checked out without saying anything, but I will be making a formal written complaint. So, avoid this place like the plague if you value your safety and security. You'd be better off paying double to stay elsewhere.

We spent just night here before our flight via Manchester airport. It was a pretty close location. It must have had the quickest and easiest check in I've ever had. Unfortunately it was just a bit unclean.

30 minutes WiFi, no volume control on tv, no working air con on hot day (so much aircraft noise), no plastic cups, broken vending machine.

Room was tired and shabby , chair coverings were full of holes. No hot water for a shower in the morning and no staff to speak to just a sign telling you to phone the booking line, helpful!!

Good location with easy access to city centre and Old Trafford by tram. Room was clean and comfortable. No proper breakfast option available but several places nearby including pub next door and Wetherspoons 5 mins walk away. Would stay here again.

Had to book a last minute room yesterday evening. Travelodge came out at the best price. We were not expecting much as we have stayed in them before and they have not been that nice. This one was very clean and tidy. Hotel reception staff were very courteous and helpful. Location is in an entertainment area so plenty of things to do and places to eat. For a Travelodge this is one of the better ones!!

Neat and tidy rooms. However, the lift is out of order, and you have to carry your luggage from the ground floor to upstairs without any support from staff.

Rooms are a little basic but perfectly functional and clean. Reception was friendly and helpful chap. Literally drove in and got a family room for less than £70. Location couldn't be better. Bus, tram and train stops all within 2 minutes walk. Tonnes of free parking. Brilliant child friendly pub under hotel. Plenty other bars and restaurants a minutes walk away. Pleasant leafy surroundings.

It's basic accommodation but it works. Rooms are large but rather bare. Very handy for us for family visits as they live closer by. Basically a place to sleep but not particularly to spend additional time in.

As always the room is clean & reasonably well appointed. Bed super comfortable. As always bath bit on the small size for me. Plenty of parking available. Close to tram terminus.

Friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Ask for a quiet room if you don't want to be on the busy traffic side of the hotel. Please could you provide 2 glasses for water etc. Love the corridor automatic hovers! Will stay again.

Upon checking in to the room, we noticed it did not have toilet paper, was quickly rectified by Samba. Free parking. Rooms are standard no frills, TV, comfortable bed, and can't fault the cleanliness. Great location Had a great night's sleep and enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay close to trams I to Manchester. Great service (allowed to leave our car there the following day until 3pm). Rooms clean

The rooms were ok at best we found sweet wrappers under the bed. We had a 3 day stay and requested a room service which was not done. We also had to go and buy pillows as the ones supplied were awful and the bed was so uncomfortable, I did explain this to Travelodge but as yet have not even received an acknowledgement.

We stayed so that we could go to the AO Arena. The room was big for a double bed. The shower was great and the bath had a grippy bottom. The room was very clean. The fan was great as we were hot and didn't want to open the window. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking facilities were close and free spaces. Watch your sat nav carefully as the route to the Travelodge is quite convoluted. Definitely coming back again if we need to go into Manchester City!

Noisy and clangy with lots of banging from the pub downstairs. Workers throwing metal kegs out in the middle of the night. Not to mention the huge ac blower motor going off continuously outside. Cheap and functional room. Looks ok in the pics but definitely showing signs of wear and tear. Could have provided more than one bag of tea and sugar in the room. Sheets and towels were clean though.

each of these hotels is of a similar standard. however, this was the first time I saw the bedding dirty and had marks on it. it was fresh but the dirt was not washed thoroughly. However, welcome that we do not have high expectations for one night. Very tight windows so the busy street is not a problem at night. If you want to sleep with the window open the street and train noise is very disturbing.

Travelodge Didsbury is in a perfect location for most peoples needs. Free parking on site, disabled parking spaces are close to the main entrance, no EV charging points that I could see in the area. My room was a family room, 1 double and 2 single beds. Room was clean and tidy. No unusual smells or stains, no wear or tear marks. Room overlooked the main road but no sounds could be heard when the windows were closed. Heater and fan in the room. Tea/coffee facilities were available and TV. Large desk with single chair to work from, 3 single plug sockets may not be enough if you need to change phones and tablets depending on how many people are in the room when you take into account the TV and kettle could be in use. No USB sockets. Bathroom has plenty of room, big enough shelf at the side of the sink for make up or washing essentials. Shaving socket available. No dining area/bar at this venue although a takeaway breakfast (non cooked items) can be ordered at reception. Don't let that put you off as there is a Green King pub next door that does cooked breakfast from 9.30am and a cafe across the road at 7.30am. Cinema, fitness centre, pub, Five Guys, Wagamama, 10 pin bowling Casino and amusements are 2-3 mins walk. Tesco superstore is across a busy road 5 min walk away. I was here on business for 5 days and felt this was a perfect location with plenty of options around the venue accessible on foot and just as many within a 15min drive. Give this review a thumbs up if you think it is helpful

Arrived on Saturday for an overnight stay, we had booked to watch a 4d film and also to go to wagamamas. We returned back to the hotel around 10pm. We woke up the next morning to the hotel staff at our door saying there was reports we had been smoking cannabis... this was in the corridor in front of everyone, we told him we hadn't and he told us we had 5 mins to pack our stuff and leave... we was so embarrassed. I am going to make a formal complaint. The way he dealt with it was extremely unprofessional... he told us we had to leave before we even denied it. Imagine if that was a person who had a medical cannabis card? And you offended them in such a way. Shame on you travel lodge

Good location for early morning flights at MAN airport. Would stay elsewhere in future though. Arrived today roughly 30 mins before official 3pm check-in so I asked if room was available now even though we'd arrived a little early to be told to go away and return at 3pm. Staff member didn't when bother to check if it was available immediately to save having to wait about. Premier Inn always check to see if available. Guessing they wanted an extra £10 for 30 minutes. A lovely Didsbury welcome!

Room was comfortable enough. I brought my own fruit teabags, as I don't drink normal tea, or coffee. My dog was welcome, which was vital for my trip. Good parking on site. Friendly reception staff. Would stay here again
