After a fairly lengthy journey on the busiest weekend for concerts and park life. we turned up overall we had fairly low expectations as it was the cheapest hotel by miles but very close to the stadium so we could walk. The hotel looks fairly dated from the outside but don’t let that put you off. As soon as we walked in the gentleman behind the desk couldn’t be more helpful and offers to book us a taxi to the concert all the staff we met were very polite and welcoming. It is very easy to catch a bus to it and is also very cheep to get a taxi from both train stations the overall inside is modern and looked like some parts were under refurbishment lots of nice comfy armchairs and sofas in the lounge area and bar The rooms are nice and ours looked like it had recently been redecorated. even tho you are next to a busy road you could not hear it. The bed was very comfy and the room had all the basic things inc tea and coffee. Me and my wife had a very good sleep and the hotel is very quiet on a night even though it was fully booked with everything going on. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and had a good selection of fresh fruit, cereal and cooked breakfast available everything was piping hot. Thank you Dimond Lodge we had a super stay!

Stayed 1 night for a funeral. The hotel was lovely, good location and friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was included in the price which was a nice touch. They offered a cooked breakfast and also continental. Man United played the night before so the hotel got quite noisy when the fans returned and the breakfast area was very busy! The room was comfy with tea facilities, comfy bed, but the bathroom definitely needs updating. Please get rid of the shower curtain!! The shower constantly went between hot and cold. Everything was clean though. They have an ironing room which is helpful and also a communal tea/coffee area down by reception with microwaves and machines to get drinks and snacks from. Free parking in front of the hotel. Not the best views and the road traffic can get noisy, but as we only stayed 1 night it didn't bother us too much

rooms were tidy and beds were comfortable you could get a fan from reception which was ideal in this weather, service was brilliant too! Just had some noisy drunk neighbours one night but that was sorted once I complaint to the receptionist. Overall very nice hotel. Would go again.

Staff are lovely & breakfast is excellent, plenty of choice & regularly restocked. The rooms we have been in so far, 3 times, have had exactly the same layout which makes the room very comfortable x

When I got to my room the bed wasn’t made there were towels all over the floor. The bathroom was falling apart with dirty cups and food. There wasn’t even a toilet seat. It’s like the room was destroyed. Then the staff asked if I could make my own bed by giving me sheets and fresh towels.

Rang up to ask about borrowing a baby travel cot and the hotel were happy to accomodate us in a big room. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were tidy and clean. Will be returning if we visit Manchester again.

The standard double room was clean, had all of the things needed and had ample space. Tea/coffee tray fully stocked, hair dryer, TV, comfortable bed, shower and bath. Our room overlooked the busy-all-night road but it wasn't too disturbing. Breakfast was a let down, most things not replenished (9am), sausages cooked on the outside and pink in the middle. Staff on the desk were more than helpful and special shout out to Dennis who went above and beyond for a range of guests at 11.30pm onwards.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, breakfast was very nice. If I was traveling to the area again I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

Perfect location for what we needed. Close enough to the center of Manchester that you can walk, also buses available if you prefer. Tesco nearby if you need snacks and breakfast was complimentary, and was a decent buffet. Friendly staff and clean, spacious room. We found it to be quiet on Saturday night and slept well, though we only stayed one night. Only improvement that could be made is to provide charge points next to the beds. That said we had plenty of sockets, just on the other side of the room, and we managed just fine.

The decor in the room is a bit tired and could do with updating, fresh coat of paint and a new carpet or at least new underlay as it was very thin and not nice to walk on without shoes. The buffet breakfast was nice with a good choice. The overall stay was good but i did think that it was quite expensive for the whole look of the place. Also, having a call at 2am from reception which was in fact a wrong number and not meant for us wasn't good. To be woken up with a loud alarming noise at that time of night was frightening now knowing what was going on.

I stay in hotels every week, throughout the UK, and mainly look for a Premier Inn due to comfort. The Diamond Lodge Hotel is definitely a high contender. Free secure parking, 24-hour concierge microwaves in the dining area for use if you want to bring in your own food (yes, they accommodate this), rooms cleaned every day. Very clean, helpful staff. Huge room with desk and 2 seater sofa, and sizeable TV. Awesome buffett breakfast usually cisting £12 - £15 in other hotels. A 2-minute walk from Belle Vue train station, access throughout Manchester. Bus stops outside hotel. Aldi, 2 mins walk, Tesco Express (24hr) 10 mins walk with petrol station. Texaco Petrol station next to Aldi. Local shops. I felt safe walking around with no dramas. The main road into Manchester is heavy in rush hour and the M60. it just needs avoiding. Can't change that, else it would be a 5. I'm definitely coming back here. Thank you to all the staff at DLH. Great customer experience

We stayed in a downstairs room. We could here the people above us and the traffic outside so not great soundproofing. Room clean enough. Shower OK. Tea and coffee facility in room. Breakfast OK although if busy you will wait for food.

Considering the rates and basic amenities with location it is fair enough. Staff is good and cleanliness is good.

Very close to our evening show at the monastery. Never met such friendly staff all through the hotel. Yes , it is a budget hotel but that didn’t alter the level of cleanliness and food. All excellent. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and nice touch was complimentary hot drink machine 24hours. Would use again without hesitation.

Room decoration was very pleasent, phones in rooms, Nescafe coffee in rooms, had a great night's sleep, pillows were comfortable, complimentary breakfast is unlimited, plenty of parking, nice soap and shampoo dispensers, wrapped glasses in bathroom, plenty of towels. When you have spent the last 3 months in a Travelodge this place is the ritz. In a nice way however couple of bad points the hotel is like a maze and definitely lacking informative signs. Secondly it advertises WiFi at 100mbps and it is barely 1mbps however it is free and I have come to expect this from all hotels anyway but the 5g service in the area is insane so as long as you have a good data plan you don't have anything to worry about

Really clean large room with a bath and shower. A little wait for all the breakfast items as we went down at the busiest time. Plenty of variety and food hot and good value. We had an issue with the electricity supply on the night of our stay which was nothing to do with the hotel, but was an inconvenience, hence the 4 star rating. Staff friendly and helpful. Perfect accommodation for our purposes, attending a gig at the O2 Apollo. £6 for an Uber and a 10 minute journey. The hotel was easy to find with good parking. Excellent value for money and ideal location for attending a gig. Woud definitely use again.

Awful! Room was filthy and bedsheet where not even changed, gross! Staff knocked my doors at at 11pm for no reason, waking me up. Vending machine took money but no food given. Reception refused to help. When home, I emailed my complaint again 3 time but didn’t every get a response. Awful!

Nice hotel rooms clean and comfortable. The only problem was there is a restaurant but it was closed not what you want to hear after a 4 1/2 drive and it couldn't find one within walking distance. However the restaurant was open for breakfast. For this reason I would have to think twice about staying there again which is a shame.

Very helpful staff on the reception. Informative. We had a disabled room, so on the ground floor. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The only concern I had was that the toilet was loose. It was reported and was told it would be fixed straight away. The breakfast was included in the price. Very substantial breakfast, on a help yourself bar. The price was higher for the date that we went, although still reasonable. and dropped quite considerably for the next day. Would visit again

We only booked in for 1 night, while we were travelling home from Manchester airport. Although it was the middle of the night when we arrived, I couldn't help but notice how grubby the whole place was. The grouting in the bathroom was filthy. The dust on the windowsills was thick. The bed was OK tho, and we hada good nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was substantial. The hash browns had run out, so I asked if there was any more. The kitchen assistant was very rude She brought some more, and instructed me to take one.As I fumbled to get 2, she snatched the tongs from me, and told me I was too slow.I told her that she was rude. She was very reluctant to serve me 2- I helped myself to annother one when she has gone!!! Overall, I think that it is a budget hotel, appealing to young people who aren't too fussy about hygiene and service.

Great location on a bus route a few miles out of the city centre. Greeted by a friendly guy at reception who was helpful. Room clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Large comfy room and bed. Great helpful staff when we first arrived. Location close to Etihad and city centre, walking about 30 + mins or short taxi ride.

Location is convenient. It takes about 15 minutes by bus to get there. Breakfast is fine. We had a shower head broken and fixed with rubbers. It would only take $20 to buy a new one. Staffs had no expression except for one guy and a cleaning lady. In general, I liked staying there.

Was last minute we had book due fire at the other hotel we had booked. Won't be back. The room unclean. There was stale water in the kettle. The bathroom it was unclean hand prints on the back of the door, handle rail was rusty were screws went in. There was a funny smell in the room. Felt so uncomfortable did not have a great nights sleep. The lady at the reception was eaten when we were checking out, trying to talk with month full. The food in the dining area was the only bit I had no fault with.

Looks good on the outside, and inside until you closely look. Defo a budget hotel and there are better chains out there for the same price. No food except a 24hr self serve vending machines and then ping your meal, curry at £12.50. Had to go out and find food. Young male receptionist didn't explain anything of how the hotel operates. Room 302 large room, kettle disgusting, tiles in bathroom floor level dirty, only one power point which was above an open wardrobe, needed a chair to plug in, then found others had together on hands and knees to plug in under the desk. 2 chairs stained. Cigarette burners in the bathroom, shower head dirty and fell off. Ned was comfy with nice big duvet, bit i turned over tonsee 2 large stains on a pillow case. So glad only 1 night as I would be requesting the company I work for change hotels. Won't be visiting again. No lock on the bedroom door as a lone female, I had to wedge a chair against the door and handle. Needs a good revamp to keep up with other chains that offer more for the same price. Seems no point complaining manager or staff not interested. Photos won't upload as proof.

Stayed for one night at diamond Lodge 26th Feb. Rooms really nice ,clean and everything you need for a 1 night stay, the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was amazing so much choice and all freshly made. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely waitress at Breakfast who had My husbands life as he couldn't find the plates for his full English 🤣 she told him off as their was a big sign in front of him 🙈. She was lovely an so funny she made my day . We laughed as yes he's a man !! She was a breath of fresh air compared to some waitresses i have experienced in other hotels. Would definitely recommend staying here . Lovely hotel
