The guy working LET HIMSELF IN TO MY ROOM AT 10PM. I had my key in the door, and had locked it. His key pushed mine out onto the floor and he had opened my door before I had even got off the bed. He said he wanted to show someone else the room even though I was occupying it. He proceeded to try to show her the room over my shoulder despite me standing there in my PJs, clearly unhappy that my privacy had been violated. Did not sleep a wink as a result, was far too on edge. He actually found it funny and even tried joking the next morning. He did not understand the severity of the security breach. AVOID.

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the park. The owner was very friendly and its conveniently close to the high street and the Manchester academy.

Clean quiet accommodation at a bargain price and perfect for going to gigs at the academy. Don't expect the ritz , its a bed and breakfast but there are some nice touches such as the breakfast basket and free parking outside . Have stayed a few times without issues .

Very basic but very quiet for a good night sleep and well located, within walking distance fod concerts, bars and restaurants. Coffee and continental breakfast in room. We gave our arrival time ahead of time and was greeted with a friendly welcome.

The Verdene is a quint small hotel for private guests, with adorable rooms perfect for a cosy get away, or aspiring business stay. It's overlooking view of the park makes for great scenery in Manchester's city offering a difference from buildings. The staff were super friendly and helpful ensuring the room was spotless and prepared for my visit. Additionally the complimentary breakfast, brew materials and wash supplies were a pleasant surprise. In the room were toilet facilities, shower and television with WiFi access. Recommended for a brief stay, loyal to many desirable food options aswell as art museums and easy hospital access.

Awesome staff, very kind and helpful! We could also leave our backpacks earlier before the check-in, it was a big favor she did to us as we were heavy! The room was perfect for us, honestly we loved it. The only thing is that the hitter did not work and I felt a bit cold, but you have extra covers so it's fine anyways Very glad to have booked this place!! Highly recommended

Nice little bed and breakfast. We had a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival. Comfortable bed with warm duvet. Had tea/coffee making facilities and breakfast tray. Room was nice and tidy. However we had the room right and the top which had a leaky skylight window, the sink had a crack in it and the plug didn't stay in the hole.

Young but already very professional staff. We were impressed how they had managed to recept us on early arrival. Verdene Hotel's location is at a busy street. We had a street view room but we didn't hear noise of passing cars. It made our stay here very comfortable. Easy procedure of checking out. We left keys in wooden box at reception. Toilet and shower could have a little more room. But for that price what can you expect.

The staff are lovely, it's close to public transport, some restaurants and the Manchester Academy for concerts. The safety of the hotel is great and its very homely and a friendly environment.

The price is great value, the room we stayed in was small but very homely. There was an en suite toilet and shower, sadly I feel I'm a bit tall for the shower they had, not a mark against them though. The guy at the desk was very friendly and though we arrived mid afternoon due to difficulty finding the place as google maps was useless, we found it and were welcomed, told how to get to our venue for the night (Manchester Academy) and they had even put a little tray with cereal and fruit, biscuits etc. A nice continental breakfast. Lovely place I would stay again.

Cheap and Cheerful! Had great time with our stay here. For what we paid, this place was great value for money and hospitality was top class. We came to Manchester for game at Old Trafford. We informed Abs that we might be late to check in than the usual hour and he ensure we will receive the access key in advance for our stay. He called and made sure we had this information before we arrived. Location was just perfect as its close to high street, city centre and not very far from stadium. Parking was available in plentiful for off street parking. Rooms were nice and clean with basic breakfast included which worked perfectly for us leaving early next morning. Abs was there to see us off when we left next morning and very courteous. Definitely recommended and will come back if coming to manchester again!

DO NOT BOOK after a 5 hour drive with a small child, despite confirming arrival time earlier in the day, no one there to let us in!!! No answer from doorbell or phone. Had to book a Premier Inn at 9pm. Furious and still no contact, refund or apology

Don't bother. We booked in advanced, they even contacted us to check arrival time on the day. We got there bang on when we said we would and no one was there or answering the fone. We had a small tired child with us so far from ideal. After 45min we gave up and booked a Premier inn.

Mattress wasn't the greatest but alright size room. Nice en suite bathroom. The guy who greeted us was lovely and the breakfast was a good touch but I bet it wouldn't be to everyone's liking

me and my daughter arrived and met by the owner such a lovely warm welcoming response such a lovely greeting, the twin room wasn't fancy but had everything we needed and was very clean, i explained we were off to a concert and may be back late, it was no problems. We were only 10 min walk from the academy 2 and easy to find both academy and hotel. the parking was on the next street but perfectly ok we found a useful massive warm blanket in the room wich was perfect for us after the gig strongy recommed as a cheap concert stay over, it was just what we needed thank you

Should be closed down. Still haven't been acknowledged by the owner. Won't answer the phone and nobody was there when we "stayed". We were let in by another guest who told us it was a free for all for the rooms. The rooms were all filthy, I mean toilets hadn't been flushed, bins full, moldy cups and bowls, fridges containing other peoples leftovers, the beds hadn't been cleaned but had been made which is somehow worse. Towels had been left out for us...but on the floor. Still trying to get in contact with the owner to ask for a refund but still had no response.
