We hosted our wedding at Didsbury House and were delighted with the whole experience. From day one, Jenny and her team were absolutely outstanding - professional, prompt, helpful and courteous. The preparation that went into our day was fantastic thorough, and the team who delivered our event were excellent. Our guests felt welcomed, and looked after; nothing was too much for the staff. The rooms are beautiful, the food was delicious and we've had so many people comment about what a fantastic venue and hotel it is. We'd love to be able to do it all over again!

We stayed here on recommendation from a friend and it didn’t disappoint. We were staying in the area due to visiting a friends wedding and we wanted to make the most of our trip up north. Everything about Didsbury is done with so much care and attention. The room was incredibly comfortable, with a large bed, roll top bath and rainfall shower. We also ordered room service while we were there as we were just too tired to eat in the restaurant. The quality and taste of the food was exceptional. The room service is also free which makes life so much easier. Especially when you’re travelling for a busy event or weekend and you don’t want the hassle of dressing up for dinner. There are only a few things I would change if I was being really picky. The TV only has Sky, which was annoying as we don’t like Sky due to the amount of constant adverts. Many places we stay in now has Netflix which is just so much better. The mini bar was also pretty basic stuff but for a high cost. For example Mars Bar for £2. Some of the hotels we’ve stayed in now fill the mini bars with more local produce and it’s free of charge which we think is a better touch. The staff on the day of our arrival did seem a bit flustered as they had a wedding on at the venue (not the one we were attending). So at times it did feel like we were either inconveniencing them or they were rushing. Totally understandable but perhaps recommend they have someone manning the reception at all times. However overall we had an incredible experience and will definitely stay again.

Utterly wonderful hotel. The reviews are justified. My bedroom which wasn't the most expensive category is the nicest I have ever stayed in. Sky TV including Sports was a nice surprise. The heated outdoor terrace next to the bar looks lovely but given the rain the cosy sofa next to the real fire was picked.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at the Didsbury House Hotel, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience. From the very beginning, Jenny the organiser was incredibly responsive, helpful, and made sure every detail was covered - even things we hadn't thought about. On the day, Rick the coordinator was flawless - he was incredibly helpful, lovely, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The team catered to all dietary requirements, with signs everywhere, which made our guests feel valued and appreciated. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful - the decorations (so we didn’t need to spend anything to decorate it!), the comfort, and the overall vibe were perfect. The food and drink were delicious and exceeded our expectations. Overall, our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and we can't thank the team at Didsbury House Hotel enough for their hard work and dedication. From start to finish, they made the experience seamless and unforgettable. We would highly recommend Didsbury House Hotel to anyone looking for the perfect venue for their special day.

Beautiful comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff, who accommodated us so well, and even let us check in early. Perfect location for the wedding we attended at St James’.

The room was mezzanine with the bed upstairs and a massive free standing bath at the end of the bed. The pillows seem to envelope my head but still give support... wow! The service is great with a warm welcome and superb food. The steak tagliatta dinner last night was superb and can't wait for breakfast in the morning! Great boutique hotel with quirky rooms and classic touches. Love the inglenook feel of the book cases and the lighting is very chilled. I'd definitely stay again

In all honesty I cannot give more than 2 stars for my stay in Didsbury House Hotel. We stayed from 19th to 22nd June, and I reserved the stay 5 months in advance. I explicitely requested twin beds at reservation time, which was confirmed by EMail from staff, otherwise I would have chosen a different location for my stay in Manchester. When we checked in, we got a room with a king size bed, which was not twinnable. It was pretty late due to the delayed flight, so I did not complain until next morning. Due to my chronical sleep disorder, I sleeped very little that night. Next morning I complained at the reception, and they said they would twin the bed. When they realized this was impossible, they put a very small bed (6' by 2') into the room. This made the room very cramped, and sleeping on the tiny bed was not really comfortable either. The staff was very friendly overall, but incompetent in solving this problem. For over 200£ per night I expect better service and adherence to agreed amenities.

Stayed here while visiting friends in Manchester. This place is just superior. Greatly situated. Comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel, gorgeous rooms and great location. The only thing knocking off a star is the breakfast... The chef cannot cook an egg. Poached egg came out with a rock hard yolk. The rest of the breakfast was okay. Breakfast should be a lot better at a hotel like this.

We had our wedding breakfast and reception at didsbury house hotel and it was better than we could have hoped for! Everything ran so smoothly, the staff were so accommodating and friendly and helpful the entire process. The food was amazing - people were saying how nice the menu sounded and were even more impressed with how it all looked and tasted - it really was perfect. Jenny from the events team had multiple meetings with us before the day to make sure we knew exactly what the plans were and were comfortable with them and pointed us to things to think about where we had no clue as she’s such an expert!! Our wedding coordinator on the day Shemek was such a pleasure and couldn’t do enough for any of our guests. Not only were the venue, food and staff outstanding but the venue looks so amazing in all the photographs - we couldn’t be more pleased. It’s in a great spot and easily accessible by train / tram and car and the bedrooms were all clean and so comfortable. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough - we will definitely be back to celebrate future events!

I stayed here for one night for a working visit. My first impressions of the hotel were excellent - fairly limited parking but there were still some spaces, even arriving quite late in the evening. The building itself is a lovely Victorian villa, with an impressive entrance hall. Check-in was quick and efficient, and I was in my room soon after arriving. I had apparently been upgraded for free - the room was very impressive, in a luxurious boutique style, with a large bath in the room. There was plenty of space, seating, pleasant warm lighting and a good (if slightly expensive) mini-bar selection. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were free. Unfortunately, despite the luxury of the room, I had a really bad night's sleep for two reasons. The first is really personal preference so I don't want to mark the hotel down - but the bed was very soft, and the pillows even softer, which made them very difficult to mould into a comfortable and supportive position. The second reason I slept badly was the temperature of the room. Despite the radiator and towel rail being off, and the window being wide open, the room was really hot and did not cool much overnight. The whole hotel was overly warm for me - especially the breakfast room. After a night in my hot room, and a hot shower, I was really overheating during breakfast. Breakfast itself was very nice - mostly table service, with a very small buffet with some pastries, juice, fruit and cereal. I was a bit worried about waiting for table service since I had to get into my office by a set time, but it was very quiet and service was quick so I had no problems. I would probably choose another local hotel if I had to re-visit, but that is really because of my preference for bed/pillow comfort, and temperature. If you aren't too sensitive about these things, then this is an absolutely perfect hotel and a real joy to stay in.

Didn't stay here, but attended a private dining event with work. Though some colleagues stayed and said it was lovely. Beautiful hotel, staff lovely and food was excellent. I have been previously to a family wedding which was a lovely setting.

Really lovely room. Quirky and comfortable. Food and drink was good. Being an old house you do hear noises from adjoining rooms. Was rather hot in room and no way to adjust the temperature

I've now stayed here twice, and I will happily return again. It's a gorgeously converted older property with bags of character throughout. The rooms are clean, bright and decorated beautifully. The staff are friendly, and want to help. To top it all off, the breakfast was great.

My husband and I hired exclusive use of this hotel for our wedding. We had the easiest time planing with jenny and the food, service and staff were absolutely perfect on the day

Booked for funeral lunch. The decesed person insisted on this venue. Food and service first class. Only 4 * due to being a listed building unable to install disabled toilets. Job done and thank you.

Afternoon tea at The Didsbury House Hotel. The room looked lovely. Love the high ceiling. It’s a beautiful Victorian house. The room was big enough for an intimate birthday afternoon tea party.

I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in this area of Greater Manchester. We stayed in the Junior Suite on the top floor and were assisted with our luggage to the room. The room itself was outstanding in comfort and facilities, although I couldn't comment on what it might be like in hot or cold weather as it was 23c outside and 18c at night. Breakfast choice and quality was very good, with lots of additional things that made this a pleasant start to the day. The service at breakfast was far better than normal - very impressed. I would have given 5 Stars willingly but the booking experience was let down by unsatisfactory communication. Also a word of note on the car park. Be very careful as spaces are very tight and I would suggest at least 2 spaces need to be set aside for EV charging.

Door to bedroom was opened when we arrived, only to find NO TV remote control and welcome folder had long blond hair inside.

Excellent boutique hotel with exceptional guest service - Shamek was especially helpful and all staff very helpful. Covered, fireplace back patio is a treat and rooms are tastfully decorated with comfortable bed. Will come back. Highly recommend.

Have stayed here before, very comfortable rooms and generally lovely staff. Latest visit slightly spoiled by being hurried at breakfast by surly waitress and shortage of breakfast items, not ideal when you are staying more than one night and you've nothing to be rushed for. Shame as otherwise 5 stars all round and they did adjust for breakfast charge at check out

I stayed here for a night last Friday courtesy of a delayed Birthday and Mothers Day gift from my son and his girlfriend. I had the loveliest nights stay in lovely accommodation , breakfast was fab. Shamac was so lovely I hope I got your name right and Lucas when I paid for the night and it had been already paid for. This only down side as a week later still looks as though its coming out of my account but will definitely come back.
