We pre-booked two nights a week apart to break up a journey to and from Scotland. We went for a cheap deal that meant no refunds which, it turns out, was a mistake. The first time we got there we were interrogated by the 'welcome' crew who could not get their heads around the idea that two men would want to share a double bed. While one question to make sure there hasn't been a mistake is acceptable, half a dozen demanding we take single beds or better, separate rooms is completely unacceptable. We were made to feel like dirt. And because we couldn't afford to get a different hotel on the way back, we had to stay there a second time. It wasn't as bad the second time around, (different staff) but we were still uncomfortable because of the previous experience. On a side note, the breakfast was terrible. The posters in the lifts promised a number of items, only two of which were available on both visits. As I don't like beans, my Breakfast consisted of a sausage. It was a good sausage but needed some of the promised items to make it work as a breakfast. Anyway, homophobia is not a good look for a marge restaurant chain. Unsurprisingly, I won't be going back.

I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff have been as helpful as they were here. Service is available 24/7 and the staff go the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. They also offer a taxi service straight to the hotel. The staff at the reception were amazing.

I had a really good stay there you will find some problems but you get what you paid for Amelia bit more employees were amazing you can rent out a fridge for 5 pounds per five nights four nights minimum. Do you have to pay a deposit to get a blow dryer but you get it back when you leave the cleaning team can do it and then a bit of better work but still good enough. No loud sounds at night and the location is amazing right next to two stations shoes very easy to move around. I did miss my breakfast by employees there make sure I had something unlike many other hotels if you miss it they will not do the same. Again I can see Ibis the main company not treating The employees right and not given them control what they canning cannot do to guests you get no points with this hotel

My boss booked a room for me last minute for work trip. After reading the reviews I was slightly apprehensive about how my stay here would go. Fortunately I experienced none of the bad things I read of prior my visit. Staff were more than friendly and I couldn't find fault in the cleanliness of the rooms. Regurgitating a common observation, the rooms are budget and very compact. It is the first ever hotel I've stayed at with a bouncer on the door which was concerning. There was also a funny smell on the 3rd floor hence the 4 star review.

Needed a Hotel in emergency for a few hours while I was visiting Manchester with family. Booked it online very quickly. Unfortunately you need to okay £8 for parking and still there was no Parking space. I parked in a street around the hotel and luckily I was able to find free parking for the whole night. Only thing I hated was I booked a double room but the bed was double bed with a bunk bed attached. Mattress was excellent. Pillows, quilt and Towels were plenty. You cannot go wrong with IBIS Budget. Remember, there is no kettle in the room or any other facility except an extra ordinary shower (loved it), small toilet separate from the shower room. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in all kinds of Hotels (Hilton, Holiday-Inn) etc. Yes you pay more to get more comforts but this room was perfect for longer or shorter stays and was a lot cheaper then my usual preferences. Only Star I removed is due to Parking (Charges as well as capacity). I had to drive a lot further to park the car and walk in the rain. Hence loss of 1 Star.

The location is just in the middle. if you have car, it takes 10 minutes to drive to centre of Manchester. The staff are really nice and kind always ready to help. The room is clean and always make it nice and smell nice.

Budget hotel with small rooms, toilet had its own room but very narrow space Windows not sealed or soundproofed well So road noise and tram noise as right next to tramlines. We were on 7th floor and most of the TV channels didn't work, some did work intermittently though! No tea or coffee making facilities in the room You had to go downstairs and use the vending machines

Considering the price isn't not a bad hotel. Rooms are basic, but comfortable.. And the shower was good. Parking was available on site for not too much money. And the continental breakfast that we paid extra for was adequate. Though the coffee was exceptionally bad. But would stay again if we want somewhere cheap to stay that's fairly central :)

We went in with low expectations and left with smiles. The room was better than expected. Clean, basic and well furnished, colourful and safe. It’s super value for money! They even have a microwave downstairs for you to use if you ask nicely.

Is as it says budget accommodation. No bar but bottled beer on sale. Continental breakfast on offer. Room is very tight for space. Great pressure in shower but cubicle is like something from a campsite. Toilet the same. Beds & floor felt sticky on arrival. But we just used this as a place to sleep nothing else

This hotel is very convenient for the location it is situated in. But as they always say, you get what you pay for. Beds were reasonably comfortable but I felt dirty staying in the room. I didn't want to take my shoes off whilst in there or use the shower/ the facilities. I think it could definitely have been cleaner.

Stayed with my son in a twin room. Only cost £32. Beds were nice. Shower good. There isn't a lot of room, but we weren't after a suite. Staff friendly. Rooms and communal areas clean. Would stay again, especially for that price.

Arrived last night and managed to get a cheap deal for the night £53 pounds which was fine then at check in we were told that the parking was £10 for the night which isn’t mentioned on the website. So the cost of the stay is now £63. Still a cheap stay but be mindful of the hidden charge as there were better hotels for the same price with free parking.

Really good place and ok continental breakfast. Staff really good very helpful. 2 things no tea coffee in room and maybe scrambled eggs and some tomatoes for breakfast for the price but you can have as much as you want so swings and roundabouts

It's budget accommodation. But staff are friendly, things are clean and everything works, If you get a roadside room, you will have to keep the window shut as the noise is pretty constant. Having air con in the room is a treat. Breakfasts are continental, coffee is good. They managed our large tour group with relative ease.

Was good for the price and clean, didn’t smell like some of the other reviews have said! Only reason not the extra star was because there was no parking spaces and the receptionist recommended I go to euro car park as it’s a third party car park next to the hotel. DO NOT GO HERE. Checked the reviews and it’s a complete scam everyone gets fined.

For the price, it's pretty good. Location is very convenient for the Metrolink, rooms and beds are comfortable and clean. Facilities are minimal/budget travel focused. The room layout and furniture makes it a bit awkward for two people with luggage, but for one, or two if they are traveling light, it's perfectly adequate for the price.

I recently stayed at the Ibis Budget Hotel, and while there were a few aspects that could be improved upon, my overall experience was quite enjoyable. The standout feature of this hotel is its fair value for money. The room was clean and comfortable, which is certainly a priority when traveling. However, it's worth noting that the room service was almost non-existent during my stay. That said, it wasn't a major issue for me, as I was mainly looking for a budget-friendly place to rest during my trip. The hotel's location was convenient for my needs, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It's evident that they are doing their best to make guests feel welcome. In conclusion, the Ibis Budget Hotel may have some room for improvement in terms of room service, but it offers a decent and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option and don't require extensive room service, this hotel is a fair choice. I'd rate it four stars for its value for money and overall pleasant atmosphere. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Welcomed by friendly and helpful staff, the room was spotless and all you need for a stay. Bed very comfortable, room right temperature. Only thing I missed was coffee facilities in room, you can pay a returnable deposit and hire a kettle. Although I didn't use them there were good transport links, a nearby Tesco Express and restaurants.

Good location, close to everything. Rooms are out dated and not the cleanest but you get what you pay for. Our room was double booked and the staff upgraded our room for inconvenience. The security staff though are dreadful. Extremely rude and impolite. Zero manners whatsoever and very cheeky when entering later at night. Front desk staff on the other hand were fine!

Rooms are small as expected with a budget hotel beds with single can comfortably fit 3 people. Shower and toilet provided in Room which was great. 24hr food available and a drinks fridge and cold food also available. Tram stop within 5min walk would highly recommend.

Friendly, comfortable bed, good shower, clean room & sheets and convenient for Salford Quays tram stop. Shower worked well but is 'cosy' cubicle size so nowhere to drip when you come out of the shower.

I knew the room would be basic but even still I was disappointed. The toilet is in a cupboard not wide enough to fit my shoulders so I had to use the toilet at an angle. Lifts were broken. Breakfast was certainly not worth the money. Can't fault the staff though.

The whole experience was very budget, as the hotel is one, but there were no big issues that would stop me from staying again. I paid £160 for 3 nights including breakfast, a very good deal. I had to swap rooms as the window didn't close due to being damaged. The Wi-Fi was hit or miss if it was working, most of the time would be ok. The continental breakfast as very good and had good selection. The rooms quality were limited but functional, it felt very basic but not unusable or dirty. Only had 2 sockets in the far corner of the room, would very like to see some next to the bed or bed side shelfs.

Location and cleanliness was good, the small room and Tv are perfectly adequate for a one night stay. I didn’t use the breakfast facilities. Car park gets quite full but there is an alternative one available. The only issue I had was that one of the single beds in my room seemed to have some broken slats, I couldn’t report it as the receptionist was not around on checkout.

Its a budget hotel, the name is on the tin, we laughed about the bunk bed over the top of our double, the room was basic with no tea making facilities. But the receptionist was excellent and made us feel welcome, and the young lady at breakfast was very attentive. The room was very warm and the bed comfortable.

Staff go above and beyond. Accommodating, friendly and helpful. 24/7 snack bar with dining room if you're hungry and don't feel like going out. Very well sanitized. Lovely room with comfortable bed. Will definitely be staying here again upon my next visit to manchester.

Comfortable room with a great shower cabin, TV a bit too small

OK hotel. It is budget & does what it says on the tin. Breakfast is good

I mean, it's in the name - budget, and it feels like. If You want just to have a sleep it's fine. Bed was clean and comfy. Apart from that, there was TV in the room. Room was very tiny, shower and toilet and AC. No cups (even plastic ones), no tea or coffee. Don't forget Your charging cable or chargers as You'll have to pay for these if You need one of them for few minutes. There is a hotel car park but at the time of visit it was totally packed. At least it was quiet.

Worst 'hotel' I've ever stayed at. More of a hostel. The place absolutely stinks (literally) and the rooms are more like a hospital setting/prison rooms. Breakfast was pathetic, bit of bread and cereals. Coffee machine broken. Extra for parking. Staff seemed OK. Definitely would not recommend, unless you want keeping up all night from the noise of the tram coming past constantly. Toilet cubicle was so small it felt claustrophobic. I have just left and I'm going to need multiple showers to feel clean again after my stay there. I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy someone staying there. Place wants shutting down

Basic rooms but comfortable. Deceptively good shower cubicle with powerful shower. Reception area was good and breakfast was ample. Price for the Saturday night was very high, but it was on the eve of Manchester marathon and was ideally located 15 min walk from the start, so was happy to pay the extra

I was in the hotel twice in last 3 months with my 2 sons and I would recommend it. Walking distance to Old Trafford and the Lowry. Shops and take away food around. Clean room, comfortable bed, reasonable price. Friendly staff (receptionist name Nia, very nice girl). The only thing to improve in my opinion is breakfast. It's not a complaint just a constructive criticism. I will definitely be back. Thanks for everything 👍

Very small hotel rooms but clean and comfortable, none-the-less. Breakfast was nice. On-site shop was useful also. You get what you pay for. Surprised at some of the other reviews given this is a 2* hotel!

Very basic, but clean. Handy for Victoria Warehouse. There were no kettles available to hire (for £2) so they quite happily charged £1.90 per cup of hot water and teabag/milk.

Just packing up now ready to leave with the family and I highly recommend this hotel. My wife is in a wheelchair and when noticing this during check in the staff quickly swapped us to a more appropriate room closer to the elevators and adapted bathroom and gave us ean early check in as we arived a little earlier than planned. The staff are kind, friendly and helpful. Budget hotel that delivers a lovely stay for my family and I. Thank you very much.... Will be back.

Well I only really have one complaint in that the toilet was so small you had to open the door to, let's say, complete the task! And in addition, you really didn't have much option as there was no catch on the door, let alone a lock!! Having said that the room was comfortable and it was handy for where we needed to be.

  • 5/5 Beth S. 1 year ago on Google
Ideal location situated close enough to Old Trafford without being too close. Nice view from the 7th floor. Exactly what we needed for a one night stop over; bed, shower, toilet and TV. Comfy bed, continental breakfast and friendly staff.

  • 3/5 Sully S. 1 year ago on Google
It's a budget experience so not much to really expect, however previously the rooms would have atleast a kettle/hair dryer but not sure if it's for all branches but this one in particular requires a deposit. If you do have an issue and you try calling the front desk they won't ever answer. So your on your own. They also charge for tooth brushes or razors which previously I'm sure they didn't. Televisions definitely need updating!

The hotel is a budget one and actually it doesn’t promise luxury but the general value far better than the price in my opinion. I had stayed more or less 2 months in the hotel. The most beautiful thing in the hotel is the interest and helpfulness of the staff. I would like to thank; Ibrahim, Priya and Imran who work at the hotel to make me feel like at home and who welcome my every request. I would love to stay again!

  • 4/5 Luke S. 1 year ago on Google
Very good value, friendly staff.. It is a budget hotel with limited services but perfectly adequate. Breakfast is a good continental range, not amazing, but better than I expected, again friendly waiting staff.. Coffee is hot but that's about it, but warmed me up til I found something with more caffeine in
