Nice hotel with a great location if you are working or visiting the Quays. Staff are friendly and checking in and out is quick and painless. Rooms are nice enough but could use some improvement, I've had leaks and other minor issues over the course of the year but they do the job.

This was a great choice for us and nothing to complain about. Everything is great. We highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are very neat. The bathroom is fine. The breakfast is complete and neat.

The hotel is really nice. I visited to watch Manchester United's game. In particular, I would like to commend Pedro for his service as a receptionist in the hotel lobby. We arrived a few hours early at the hotel because of the flight schedule and he helped us check in early. It was almost a tough trip, but thanks to his kind and caring continuously, I think it was the best trip ever! Room facilities are also very reasonable for the price. It's only a 10-minute walk from Old Trafford, so if there's a United game, it would be a decent choice to choose here.

Spanish afternoon tea with a pink gin was well worth the money using the wowcher deal for just £24! Sean the barman was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. He explained what was included and what each plate was. He also told us it was the last day for 50% off drinks from 4-6pm so we made sure we made the most of that. Only criticism was the cream that was on the scone was awful. We still don’t know what it was or should have been but we couldn’t eat it. The rest of the food was lovely though.

Stayed in this lovely hotel to goto a concert nearby. So overpriced at over £300 for a room per night, not even breakfast included. Wasn’t even biscuits with the coffee tray. For that price you’d expect a bottle of wine at least. Such a shame as it’s a lovely hotel just a ridiculous price, sorry for the review but hotels shouldn’t be allowed to do this

Check-in was super easy. Bed was comfortable. The room had a smart TV for streaming. The Internet was decent for work. I enjoyed the breakfast options. There is ample parking at the hotel. During my stay, only one elevator was functional resulting in delays.

I stayed here for 3 weeks for a work event excluding weekends which meant I moved room each week (due to bookings) and each week on the eighth floor. The hotel staff are absolutely lovely, very welcoming indeed and the food in amazing. However, the House Keeping team had absolutely zero continuity, some days my items (shower gel, shampoo, water, tea, etc) were replenished and other days they were not meaning I had to heaad down to ask reception to fetch these items. Also, 2 of my 3 rooms had no working air conditioning meaning my room was quite warm ( did report but wasn't sorted) and with road works happening all through the night immediately outside the hotel, I couldn't really keep my window open. Also the beds are on castors meaning any movement during the night sounded as if the bed was being dragged along the floor. Overall it is a nice hotel but not for the price they charge, I think these prices would better suit a fully functioning hotel.

Awful experience. We were part of a coach tour waited about an hour and a half for a meal which was booked for 7 45! The next night was equallly dreadful! A buffet.. with all selections foreign and spicy. I couldnt eat any of it chef did cook plain chicken and chips..which i had the evening before They had absolutely no idea. However breakfast was good buffet style. Thanks to Wendy.. a lovely waitress who did her very best to pacify diners.. On the whole.. the result would be.. never return.

I visited the hotel last weekend and was initially hit with how helpful the reception and bar staff were on our arrival . Check in was seamless and the room was clean spacious and well appointed. Everything we needed for our stay had been thought about in the room and the bed was super comfortable. We had a great weekend stay , lovely well organised breakfast which felt very relaxed. The breakfast staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. I sense a hotel which is constantly improving and getting its staff training spot on. The manager is very approachable and clearly values her staff . I would totally recommend a stay at this hotel for business or pleasure, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning very soon . Thank you to the manager and staff for a lovely memorable stay 🙏

Would never stay again. Worst hotel experience possible. Booking messed up the night before. Have to park in a dodgy car park over the road. Paid upfront for dinner. Got told we couldn’t sit down at 6.30 and had to wait till 8.30. Arrived at 8:30 had a meal which could only be compared to a cheap school dinner. Then, due to being told we had to wait, we couldn’t get any dessert as the restaurant had shut. The dinner also being paid for upfront was very expensive and not worth it for what the food was like. The rooms were fine but nothing special. Then in the mornings arrived for breakfast at 7.30 and most the food was gone! No cutlery on tables had to ask the waitress multiple times. Then on departure got told we must pay for the dinner that we had prepaid for. Even when checking out there was trouble with leaving bags. The workers were trying their absolute best, but it is truly just a badly ran hotel. Not what you expect for the high price.

Worse experience ever. How can both lifts spoilt at the same time? Please refund me my room rate and compensate the time and effort for my parents and I lugging down four luggages down three floors.

Flew straight from Muscat, Oman to Manchester airport. Not seen my fiancé in 3 months. He surprised me by booking A.C Marriott in Salford Quays and we had such a lovely time. Super refreshing, cosy, clean and professional. Really enjoyed my couple nights here and would definitely recommend any other traveller who needs some downtime home away from home. Loved it! The reception staff girls were super nice and super helpful!

Nice hotel and clean, room was comfortable with a very powerful shower and also had q fridge. The let down was the breakfast, sausages looked like they had been boiled and you could bounce them like a bouncy ball. Evening meal at the hotel was fantastic. Great hotel but reall6 need to sort the breakfast out

We were greeted at reception by Ben who was so welcoming and accommodating which literally made our short stay. Breakfast was good and so was the service. Service at the bar, however, was poor unfortunately and I felt like we were inconveniencing the lady behind the bar who didn't even try to pretend to care. That didn't affect our stay which was enjoyable overall, thanks to the fantastic reception by Ben.

Very clean and modern. Close to the Quays and the trams. Staff warm and friendly. Bit disappointed we only got a room on the 1st floor but spacious with iron and board in the room and fridge. Car park not huge, but we got a space.

  • 4/5 Jamesthatgymguy 7 months ago on Google
Clean and pleasant enough. Service was OK, car park way too small. You'll need to park elsewhere if arriving in the evening. Nice, lively bar in the evening. Very nice view from the rooms on upper floors.

We paid £150 pounds to stay there for 1 Night. Allegedly this hotel is part of the “ Marriot” chain, I’ve never stayed at a Marriot where they refuse to put on the AC in the room to save money when it’s THIRTY degrees in the room. I’m lost for words. You have to pay for parking also. The fridge wasn’t turned on when you first arrive so kind of defeats the purpose of the complimentary water, I should guess this is also to save money on electricity. The view from the window is terrible. Location is ok. Really not worth the price when you’re sweating like a pig and ask for AC and they refuse to turn it on. Really took away from the stay and made it feel cheap and tacky. You’re better off staying at the Ibis next door, they’ve got the same view and also charge for parking. You get the same experience for a much cheaper price.

A great location for attending Old Trafford, walking to the Lowry and the quays. Simple, but effective breakfast within a neat and tidy hotel. Very comfortable and clean.

It wasn’t a good experience because someone block 6-7 cars way and I had to leave early in the morning around 4:30 and I was stuck till 9 o clock and I missed my appointment. Sadly, the night staff lady she wasn’t helpful, she didn’t even bother to check who has parked the car, the next hotel guy checked in their system and it wasn’t their customer but the AC staff didn’t even bother to check. They said we can’t help, it was very bad experience I had.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Perfectly situated for the town centre. My checking-in experience was one of the best experienced in a long while. The staff were warm and welcoming and, wait for it, SMILED! The smile was genuine and and showed how much they valued you, as a customer. The room was very comfortable, spacious and inviting. Loved the gym on the 1st floor, which was well equipped with 2 treadmills, kettle bells, power balls, multi gym, etc. Breakfast was a relaxed affair, organised and a good variety of choices laid on. Again you are met with a warm smile and the member of staff went out of their way to find Almond milk for me. Check out was again a lovely experience, handled efficiently with REAL customer service. Great job Marriott Salford Quays - finally a hotel that has got it right! Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Manchester. 6*

Had a wonderful night at the Marriot.. beautiful stylish hotel decorated beautifully for Christmas.. rooms are a little small but very clean & styled well and we had a superior room right at the top of the building so the views were stunning... the staff are really nice and the breakfast was excellent with so much choice.. we would definitely stay again and recommend all day long.

I had a decent stay at AC hotel. A few things could have been better: - The AC couldn’t be adjusted, probably because of the system? We were too tired after the day we had so we didn’t ask the staff to help with this, that’s on us. - The flush was so heavy! I had to push it really hard. Other than those the room was nice, the breakfast was great, the receptionist was superb!

Our short stay at AC was absolutely wonderful. The reception were super helpful and nice, especially the young Brazilian guy (I didn’t get his name but he was so lovely). The rooms are finished to a high standard, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Just back from a 2 night stay. Overall hotel rating is solid 4/5 - Rooms are quite basic and bathrooms a little tired but overall acceptable. Breakfast was good. Bar prices a little high, over £7 a pint..

Here with work. A very nice hotel and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned and tidy. Likes the fact there was no carpet. Although felt I needed some slippers 🙂. Breakfast was ok. Sausages a little over done and food being kept warm was barely warm. Gripe I have with hotels I stay at is they dont use a plate warmer, which would help a bunch. Other than that, was a pleasant stay.

Went here for food before a concert as everywhere else was busy. Lovely relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and plenty off food and drinks to pick from. I got a side order of loaded fries and my partner got a burger. Both were lovely my only criticism is that the chips could of done with being cooked a little longer.

Comfortable and clean, but couldn't turn the A/C down so it was too warm at night - it was too loud to leave the window open. Great views over the quays towards Media City. They had parties over the weekend which meant that the restaurant and bar wasn't available to guests on either night which was a bit of a pain, but there are many restaurants and bars in easy walking distance - or the tram stop is almost right outside.

For the price, on the day it was okay. But and a big BUT. We got there and was told we had to park out car down the road over the building site. Apparently it's tough, if people who aren't in the hotel take the parking spaces. A biscuit in the room would have been nice to have with a cuppa. Jack Daniels and coke in a can £5 The biggest disappointment was the bed sagged in the middle so if you were on the edge, you'd roll to the middle, and the pillows were terrible. Managed to eventually get the tv working after about 15 minutes. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to man u football stadium

Location would be good there wouldn't be a major road construction around it. Hotel has a cold atmosphere, while check in staff was friendly. Breakfast is mediocre. Scaffolding around the hotel ( no advice upfront), so even on a Saturday you need to have the blinds closed to avoid workers being able to look in.

Friendly and helpful staff, nicely presented rooms. I would have taken off 1/2 mark for lack of parking because or works in the area but the night manager was super helpful and managed to fit my car over night with a touch of innovation. Highly recommend

I had finished work and came in for a drink. The bar man Sean was so lovely! He recommended a drink that I tried which was delicious and is now a favourite of mine! Sean went above and beyond and even though I wasn’t staying for the evening he had enquired about upgrading me! Had I have been staying I would have been upgraded! Thank you for such a lovely welcome Sean and Ben! I will most definitely be back again! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! Xxx

Very nice and relaxing hotel . Staff can not do enough for you . They will go out there way to help you . The rooms wre so nice and clean . Nice and warm beds are very comfy. The breakfast is nice and fresh and for £11 pound can have unlimited breakfast and unlimited drinks . There is parking on the back for 8 pound per night or parking nearby .

Lovely and clean, 12pm checkout time was great after a concert the night before. 2 trams away from the City centre and AO arena (tram stop is over the road). Staff were all great.

Very nice stay. Food was very nice. Room nice and clean. Love the floors. I needed to change rooms to be near my clients. Who I had taken on holiday with bell coaches the very kind lady on the desk managed to change my room so I was opposite my clients room all in no time at all. Would definitely stay again. Everyone very helpful.

A nice stay at the hotel for business. Food was nice in the hotel and breakfast had a good selection. Room was nice and bed very comfortable. However, the scaffolding around the building was an eyesore and there was also roadworks going on outside which was noisy.

  • 4/5 M 1 year ago on Google
Excellent value for money, spacious and comfortable. Nice to have a fridge in the room and a shower with good pressure also (two must haves in this day and age). Currently undergoing external renovations which had no effect on my stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will be staying again.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff, nicely presented rooms. I would have taken off 1/2 mark for lack of parking because or works in the area but the night manager was super helpful and managed to fit my car over night with a touch of innovation. Highly recommend

Used a voucher for Tapas afternoon tea, think this one beats the English version. We were served by a friendly member of staff, it would have been nice to have items explained what they were. Sat on a nice comfy sofa in the window drinking a G&T watching the word go by .

Decent hotel to stay for a night. Very pleasant staff and good service. Good food and breakfast. The beds in the twin room were on wheels, and the floor in the room is not carpet hence every movement in bed actually moves the bed…which was annoying. Overall a good place to stay.

Clean rooms with very nice view. The staff is very professional and friendly. The breakfast was super delicious and freshly made. The hotel is in a very nice area overlooking at the basins and in walking distance from Old Trafford.

Comfortable clean rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Ideal location for several venues, small car park behind hotel but additional public parking is available over the road

Stayed at this hotel recently and it was mostly good but I have to leave a note about my dining experience. I ordered a Mediterranean vegetable pizza and was served the most bizarre pizza I’ve ever had! No Mediterranean vegetables to be seen, instead it was broccoli, spinach and carrots!!?? I queried why I wasn’t given what I ordered and the chef’s response was that he uses whatever seasonal vegetables are available!! They should really make this clear on the menu, I really struggled to eat the worst pizza I’ve ever had!
