Stayed here with my partner at the weekend - I am a huge fan of Travelodge and believe it’s the best hotel, it was my partners first time staying at a Travelodge. The staff were all super friendly here, from the front desk staff to those serving at the bar, we were made to feel extremely welcome and at ease here! We sat in the bar for some food and drinks, even the manager asked us how our experience was and if we were happy with what was on TV which I thought was really sweet of her. Our room was spotless, super clean, all the facilities were amazing, couldn’t ask for much more - for £28 we got amazing value for money! The bed was super comfy, we had a TV in our room. The local area was beautiful with MediaCityUK on our doorstep - although it was a Sunday night and there wasn’t the largest variety of places open, we still managed to keep busy and have a beautiful night! The bar was open til 1 here even on a Sunday which was amazing! Couldn’t recommend this Travelodge and any Travelodge enough, and my partner now agrees that Travelodge is the best hotel - five stars! Thank you for providing us with such a beautiful experience!

Stayed here in June Nice clean and nice staff The whole experience was not very good though due to the parking. Phoned and paid for parking, since have received letters saying we owed for the parking. Clearly this app did not work and is at fault. I am not buying the extra money, appealing against something I have already paid for or paying bailiffs. £170 If they want to take me to court great I have proof. I will also not be staying here again due to this experience that has me very stress and worried

Although the hotel isn't located in the heart of the city, it has one of the best designs that Travelodge has to offer. The connectivity to the tram is feasible. The service is quick with no hassles whatsoever. The rooms are tidy and reasonable at around 30 per night. The hotel has a bar cafe and offers breakfast for a charge. Would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Salford quay.

Stayed here while attending a concert at the AO Arena. Taxi was less than 10 pounds and was super easy to find from the motorway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had breakfast the following morning and was what I was expecting... Would stay again.

Me and my colleagues call in every Friday for a few drinks and a catch up. The guys working here are amazing, always happy to welcome us and make us feel at home. Lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Love it here and the staff, especially our Vicki, Laura and Sasha who put up with our Friday heads every week.

New rooms, small but serviceable, nicely decorated. One irritating point the bedside tables have sockets that are covered by blank plates! No plug sockets beside the beds also, where are you supposed to charge and use equipment? The staff are wonderful and friendly. I will come back, but please install the bed side sockets, USB ports would do!!

This hotel seems to be accommadating local people in emergency situations. This creates the atmosphere of a hostel more than a hotel. Also I was refused permission to buy a coffee despite a price list on display. I was also refused a towel when I asked for one extra. There are plenty of other hotels in this area so my advice is to avoid this one! I personally would like something on the Travelodge website stating that the hotel is being used as a refuge before deciding to book.

Stayed over for a long weekend in Manchester. The hotel is really easy to get to by taxi or tram, great location with a shop next door and a few take aways around that was delivered to the hotel via uber eats. The staff was extremely friendly on front of house, restaurant, cleaners and security on the weekends at night and was really welcoming and always happy to help. The food in the bar at night was really nice and well priced and the breakfast had a enough selection to set you up for the day. Would defiantly stay here again when we are back in Manchester.

Stayed there for only one night .. they have friendly staff ❤️ the room was great but couldn't sleep till midnight because of noise coming from downstairs (pub or disco). Bed is comfy, there is a boiler and the toilet was clean👌🏻

The staff is very polite and helpful. Walking distance to Manchester United stadium. The tram is also accessible to reach Piccadilly. Media city is also nearby. I have visited at least once a month since Sep'21. Never faced any issues apart from one time when all the rooms were booked but they provided us Room in Manchester Central and also provided a cab for the office. Value for money.

Good location for Salford Quays. Tram stop close by over the road if you want to go into the city centre. Staff friendly. Hotel nice and clean. We had the breakfast which was good. All self service and for £8.99 was a good deal. Parking directly opposite which cost £7 per night with the voucher from the hotel.

Very dodgy area - turned up and there were 3 police cars outside. The hotel bar seems to be used as the local bar - lots of yobs loitering outside, noisy… can’t understand why it’s not rated worse. The only positives: the staff are kind and approachable and the hotel room is clean. Bed was a little small vs a premier inn.

Upgraded to superior room. Very small room, but clean. No light above the desk. Only 2 coffee pods! No hairdryer or coat hooks. Car park could have been explained better on the website. Get a car park ticket at the hotel for discount price. Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was good.

For a Travelodge the rooms were very nice. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. Location is good, a 10 minute wander to the shops. Couple of minutes to Sainsbury's and a tram stop over from there. Secure parking is located over the way and £7 for the night. Overall very pleasant and would use again.

The rooms are super clean, you get fresh clean towel when you need them. The one thing I didn’t like is the food. I wouldn’t recommend spending money on their food. Breakfast is alright but the plates and cutlery are always dirty. Dinner depends on what’s available, they always run out of nice things! Order would be the same but looks different for everyone. I ordered a dessert I saw with the person next to me but got something that’s not even similar, and the portion was so different. Location is good, close to tram but no frequent busses are nearby.

Really like the location. Walking distance from media city. If driving electric car, charging point is just opposite. And they are usually free.

Reception staffs were friendly, and I liked the nice view from the guest room. Amenities were pretty basic, but that was reflected on the lower room rate. The wooden flooring generated some noises when people walk in the corridor, otherwise overall it was quiet. Breakfast charged separately, which I have not added to my package, so cannot comment on that.

It's in a good location. The staff were kind. Although, one of the towels had a stain or two on it and there was a sock under one of the beds.

Stayed overnight because of the Peter Gabriel gig at the AO Arena. Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms and really nice food. Great experience all round.

Be aware this hotel DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING!! It was boiling hot in my room just unbearable. Throughout the entire booking process online there isn’t a mention about it on even a single page. The front desk told me it’s written on the website but I’m sure it’s buried somewhere in the fine print just to excuse themselves. Doesn’t justify the price at all. Other than that, great location if you’re watching a game at Old Trafford that’s where the price point comes in.

Great breakfast, nice spacious clean room with choices of pillows and close to the Man U stadium but not too close to the city centre.

Had two nights here mid week. Nice sized rooms, good shower. Lots of choice at breakfast but no croissants. Cat park next to hotel with gated access on foot. This wasn't signed, so the first night we walked all the way round as car entry/exit is on the opposite side to the hotel. Need an app for the parking.

Handy walking distance to Old Trafford and Salford Quays tram stop. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Seperate bathrooms which are clean. Rooms very clean too. Good to have a bar on ground floor and all you can eat breakfast for £9.99 was good with free kids too!

Moved four times cos rooms had a dirty feeling fourth time was because the corridor on my floor stunk of weed so strong which isn't appropriate for £60 more like a hostel, i also left my hot water bottle in the bed which i never got back because it wasn't there. There's one not that far away which is so much nicer.

Was pleasantly surprised with my stay at this Travelodge by past experiences of this chain it was very good, from pleasant helpful staff and clean rooms to a nice breakfast and ok selection of evening meals. Would recommend..

  • 2/5 Allie H. 4 months ago on Google
Room was clean and comfortable with a plug under the mirror which some Travelodge rooms sadly lack this basic requirement. Although on a main road there was little traffic noise but did have a room on the side so worth considering. Food was OK. Downside was the customer service from lacklustre check-in at reception to not taking interest in my complaint that my room key had to be reprogrammed every evening as didn't work but issue just shrugged off by reception with no apology!

Couldn't get the room I booked and the new room stunk of alcohol, also found a pile of glasses and bottles outside the door. Then the staff always took at least 10 mins to serve us whenever we wanted anything (and we stayed there 3 days). And finally, inexplicably, the room keys stopped working daily so had to be swapped daily.

Love the hotel , good place to stay. I just hate their showers , you are unable to shower in peace without the water leaking on to the floor , had to use towels just to keep my feet dry , on top of that you have to leave the shower running for a while in hopes of not water.

Was expensive as man utd were playing but was booked as other hotel i use had gone up to £300 night. Was nice but have to pay separate for parking and breakfast. Good location for the quays.

Great hotel with no frills. The bed was incredibly comfortable, shower was powerful, room was quiet (and this was in the night of a United game) and the staff were friendly and so helpful! Many hotels oh higher star ratings could learn from this hotel!

Great place for an overnight stay for the football. Only 20 minutes walk from old Trafford also 5 minutes walk from the metro link into the centre. Rooms were excellent and clean. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was full english self service lots of choice and good food. Parking by the hotel but its cheaper to use the Ringo code in reception.

Rooms adequate for short overnight stays. Good location - quiet. Short walking distance to Media City. Good value for money. Good security - pass required to access floors. Discounted parking.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break with my wife. Perfect location for football shopping and easy travel. The rooms was spotless and the staff could not be more helpful. I arrived and straight away was made to feel welcome by the manager and a great team. Will definitely return for another great stay.

I stayed here for 2 weeks, when I landed here in the UK. So, the rooms packed quite a lot of things. There wasn't enough storage for someone who's on business tour, the luggage would just have kept on the floor. No wardrobe for one to keep the clothes, or a thing to hang your jackets, etc. It lacked basic necessities like providing kettle to warm up the water whenever needed. No intercom to talk to the reception for any help, I had to go all the way down for any queries to be answered. The breakfast just doesn't change at all, though the spread is good, but it's always the same. Imagine it from a PoV that you got to be staying there for good more than a week. The staff has been good though all the while, no complaints whatsoever for their hospitality.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the customer service was at this hotel. Really friendly staff and rooms were decent too. Car park was very conveniently located and cost £7.20 for 24hours. Will definitely recommend

Clean, comfortable, well situated and good value. Small room. Don't worry about the parking. Just park in the designated car park, book in and ask at reception what to do. It's much easier than the website makes it look. Rooms have electric fans.

It's been an amazing stay here at Salford Quays - we booked 3 rooms whilst visiting family and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we booked in. We also ate here for breakfast and dinner. The evening meal was fantastic - super tasty, great price and attentive staff and the breakfast didn't fail to disappoint. All that coupled with a great nights sleep means 5 stars all round!!! 🤩🤩🤩

Room was comfy, but the extractor fan in the bathroom was a loud whistling noise all night. , location is good, only a 10 minute walk to the tram and the quays. Staff were good, but the evening service was really slow, waited ages for our food, one meal came out, dessert came at same time, and we had to ask for the second meal to be brought out after waiting . However everything was clean and well maintained.

Very good value hotel - and efficiently run. The rooms are fairly basic but perfectly adequate, and ours was clean and comfortable. The mattress is not the luxury type that would be provided in more expensive hotels, but was still comfortable, and the size of the room is slightly smaller, but as a place to stay for a couple of nights this is a good choice. All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and there seemed to be pretty much ongoing cleaning throughout the hotel. Breakfast (available at a reasonable additional price) was good too - Lavazza coffee, a good choice of cooked items, plus cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. All in all, I was very pleased and would definitely stay there again. Thank you very much.

Great location, only up the road from the tram line, staff very friendly, we ended up eating at the hotel due to pizza express cancelling our booking 2 hours prior, the hotel was very short on cooking staff so it took a long time, but the lady did well all things considered.

I wish I could give 0 star. I've booked a room from 25/11/2021 to 27/11/2021. It was an awful experience. My room was stinky and freezing cold. I've been to reception desk to get some help and they didn't even bother to help. I've had a 1 year old boy with me who was literally shivering coz of the cold room temperature. I took him to his nan's house to west Yorkshire . He got sick. Both Bathroom sinks were completely blocked. All in all it was a very bad experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

On arrival staff member was busy serving drinks at the bar whilst those waiting to register their arrival waited patiently. Once registered and in the room I found it spacious and clean, slight problem with the toilet seat being quite loose which I reported no one available to repair, fully booked so no replacement rooms available given complimentary drinks. Menu let down eating in the building all pizzas, burgers and curry so went into town to eat at local Harvester. On return same staff member still doing it all on her own. Breakfast saw new staff and good food. Overall there needs to be more staff available on the evening shift one staff member front of house is not enough. Had a good stay and would recommend to others.

Our journey took MUCH longer than expected so we checked in at 4am. Rang ahead and explained and a lovely lady reassured our booking was safe. Arrived absolutely knackered and were greeted by two absolutely lovely, friendly, welcoming ladies who did everything they could to make us comfortable and welcome. You have two absolutely amazing night staff ladies, who really MADE our experience! Thanks again ladies x

No parking, beds are hard and breakfast was not good quality and the breakfast was not too warm apart from that it made Premier Inn look good in comparison as this did have a really budget feel and look to it.
