Place and staff were friendly. My biggest gripe was the room condition. Smelled musty and was mouldy. It was bead enough to set my asthma off and that is the only trigger these days. Did for 2 nights but I would not stay there again based on that one fact alone. Shame really, as the room size was ideal from this very short stops.

I would have given a 5 stars if my room had a small fridge or cooler. It was a very hot week in Manchester and I wished I had a cold drink in my room. Apart from that, it was all good 👍

Honestly not even that cheap for how bad it is, cost us £100 for the night and was not worth it. The pillows are so thin it’s pointless offering them, the heating did not work and there was literally just a sheet so we were shivering all night. And the walls are made of paper you can hear people 10 doors down. Only saving Grace is the free parking but I’d rather spend on parking than stay here again. Moral of the story, do not like Beth Carey pick the hotel x

Professional staff and welcoming. I was well looked after. And lots off free parking. The hot showers done it for me. Bar and food available. Very clean, hotel, I highly recommend it. Lovely day staff x

Central location. Rooms reasonably clean, staff perfectly friendly. Don't expect much else, I have had greater creature comforts and more personal space during a night at Her Majesty's Pleasure in my errant youth. Litter everywhere outside- the hedge looked like a recycling drop.

Great location and staff were nice but the room was terrible. Bed was uncomfortable and room didn't feel clean. We left as soon as we woke up.

Very basic, it was the smallest room I've ever stayed in, the bathroom like the ones on a plane. £100 a night. The bedding didn't look clean.

We stayed from Saturday 23rd until Sunday 24th September 2023. We checked in about 17:00, there was no queue to check in so it was fast and efficient. We stayed in a twin room. This cost £101.15. The room was good. The beds looked old but were very comfortable. There could be an extra pillow each on the bed as they are very thin. The bathroom was very small and claustrophobic. Tea and coffee was provided in the room. There was a wall fan which provided nice cool air circulation. Check out was 11:30am and we had a knock at 11:40 to tell us to check out. Very polite staff. For what we paid we was satisfied and the location wasn’t too far from central Manchester. Would recommend for a budget night in a big city.

Rooms on the small side, but clean modern and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Breakfast not included, but made to order in cafeteria. Overall very good.

Positives: Fairly well located, staff was kind, 24h reception. The room had a TV, water boiler with complimentary tea, and parking possibility in the courtyard. To note: The room and double bed felt a bit small, and it smelled somewhat murky, probably from the old carpetry. The shower doors didn't close the best, so the bathroom got wet after each shower, and only got one small towel for the floor. No mini-fridge. They had 'free' wifi, but you needed to give your social media or fill out a form, which is ridiculous and defeats the term free as you're exchanging it for personal information.

Room smelled damp and musty making it uncomfortable to be in. Location was good for our trip. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, 1 was rude. Breakfast was freshly cooked daily and was delicious with both vegetarian/vegan option.

Great staff who were attentive and helpful . room very clean and suitable for my needs. If any issue would say lacks a lift but otherwise a great place to stay.

Exactly what it says on the box! Clean, comfortable room but a tad smelly and if you're anything other than a midget you'll not be picking the soap up in the shower! But great value, just an £8 taxi ride from the City Centre (or 20-minute walk) and the included parking is a godsend nowadays.

Staff are very pleasant and polite. Rooms are basic but have all you need (including a wall fan). Paid £200 for three nights, Monday to Thursday. Free parking. Housekeeping comes whenever you want. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked here for a weekend in Manchester as a slightly cheaper alternative to Premier Inn or Travel Lodge..easy to say that the extra 10-20 pounds it cost for the more well known hotels would be worth it as this place lacks a few basic things like coat hooks and a larger bathroom (which was tiny). Beds were comfortable enough but the pillows are not even worth having as there is more padding in a sanitary towell than one of their pillows and the rooms were tidy-ish..don't expect any privacy though as the walls are made from paper and you can hear everything going on around the hotel. Could do with quite a bit of updating or lower their prices.

Cheap…somewhat cheerful. You get what you pay for. We used the hotel as a base for a concert at the AO arena. It’s situated just a 15minute walk away, which was great. The size of the rooms are small, the bed..small, the bathrooms…even smaller. Ultimately, it does the job, just don’t expect anything more than that.

Travelled to Manchester for a KISS concert at the Ao ARENA, couldn't of chosen a better hotel for location. Less than 10mins walk. Staff at hotel were all very polite and accommodating, room was lovely and clean, bathroom a little on small side, but perfect for what we needed. Bed, sorry, wasn't comfortable nor were the pillows, we checked out early as we were both unable to get any sleep and thought may aswell get back on the road to Wales to beat the traffic seeing as we were awake. Bit disappointed the bar was closed on our return from the concert, a few guests were wanting to go into the bar, We just purchased a bottle of beer and took it to the room. If we were downstairs we would of had a few beers.(maybe we would of been able to sleep then 😆 SUGGESTION.....open your bar, you would of made quite a bit of money £££ We will be back to stay tho, at the STAY INN Hotel. See you soon 🤟🏼

After a few disasters we made it to stay at the hotel. We were due to stay Friday to Sunday but due to circumstances couldn't make it till the Saturday. Emailed explaining the situation and the lovely manager was able to keep the room available for us which I was very greatful for. He was understanding and very polite nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and serviceable for our needs although the textured plastering wasn't to my taste the room was otherwise very modern. Good location for the city centre Will defo stay again for the service I've recieved. Thanks again for being so understanding and helpful

Booked this place because of location and the fact we can park on the premises. The price was very reasonable, breakfast was very good, rooms are small but have everything you need for an overnight stay.

We stayed here this week for two nights. Reasonably priced hotel in a great location as it is only a ten minute walk from the centre. The room was clean and comfortable with a TV and kettle, and some tea bags/coffee, sugar and some milk. The room did have a shower and bath however the bath is very very small. The walls were also paper thin and you could hear everything going on around you. However the staff/service were welcoming and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap place to stay in Manchester Centre.

Looks a lot better inside than it does from the outside. Lovely room very clean. Would return in the future.

  • 3/5 Mike T. 1 year ago on Google
I agree with most other reviews. The rooms are small, beds uncomfortable. In future, I will pay a bit more and stay at a premier Inn. The location is convenient for the city centre and the free parking is a bonus. Unfortunately, the hard beds let the hotel down.

It's a very cheap establishment but I knew that when booking. Despite that we slept very well there, the bed was very comfy. What was disappointing was that we came to Manchester for a christening and due to timings we needed an extra hour for parking. They charged us an extra day for the privilege when they could've easily waived the fee.

Staff at reception are very unhelpful and just tell you miss information just to get you to leave. I have been parking here for 6 months and have asked reception 3 times about renewing- each time I was told it would be fine to renew. On my renewal date I was out of the country (as I had told them before leaving) and they said sorry no spaces left and we cannot guarantee you will not receive a parking fine.

Perfect place to stay if you are going for a night out in Manchester, easy to drive to and free parking.the rooms are very clean and comfortable the staff are very helpful

I do not recommend. Beds are uncomfortable and rooms are not cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom in my room was small you could barely stand in it with the door closed (and I'm on the smaller side!) Car park is free but at-your-own-risk, and you should make sure to take pictures on arrival/ leaving to be sure you aren't charged for anything!! Budget but not worth it, 1*

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout our 5 night stay. A good value hotel with guaranteed parking and clean rooms. An easy 10 minute walk into the town centre. The bedrooms were compact but everything was there and in the right place.

Stay Inn has a car park. Great for a night's stay. Pillows thin, a bit cold. There was a noisy Stag do while we were there. We didn't stay for breakfast as it was £11.95 and our friends who stayed the night before weren't impressed. Free sachet tea and coffee. Lounge welcoming. Staff nice.

Used for easy access to the Manchester arena . Definitely recommend . We'll worth the money

Rooms okay, dated, bathroom no ventilation , black mould. After making payment, female receptionist came too our room with pen and paper asking for our card details, 4 more occasions she asked, i said no. I had spoken to the night manager, he checked all payments were made and everything they needed was on the system. Very suspicious, know what details you are giving and what for. Good location not far from the city centre.

Perfect place to stay! I got home like feeling here, the rooms are well organize and clean with lovely view outside. Service was exceptional, people are very professional in their work. Thanks for giving us excellent service! Would definitely come back.

This place is in a good location with parking. However, the rooms are so small and our bathroom was so tiny that you can't even move in it. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Glad we stayed only one night.

Would recommend only if it’s the last option. I stayed there for a night, not very convinced with the facilities. Room was very small(I’m a small person so it didn’t bother me much). You need to carry your own shampoo, body lotion, toothpaste as they only provide hand wash and bodywash (dispenser machines). I agree with the other reviewers reg tiny washrooms. Also for my washroom exhaust was not working. No intercom in the room(not sure about other rooms there wasn’t any in my room). Rooms are not sound proof so I could hear people snoring or coughing in other rooms(even the flush sound). Also I was glad I carried my iPad, tele only got bbc(and there wasn’t intercom to check and I was too lazy to go downstairs). The only good thing is location( although there are many other hotels much closer to the city centre but at a higher price).
