Naturally, you may be concerned about cleanliness when it comes to inns and especially dog-friendly ones, but Paws on Pelham so far exceeded our expectations. Our room was immaculate, and the bathroom was luxurious. You could tell that the space was recently remodeled and well kept-up. The subtle but tasteful dog theme (e.g., little dog house in the room, dog artwork, headboard) was such a nice added touch! Above everything, most impressive is the management. We had a contact-free, super easy check-in and check-out, where we kept in contact with the innkeeper via text. Because we stayed during the week, our complimentary breakfast was scheduled at the inn across the street (the Serenity Inn), which was just as lovely. The morning hostess, Lisa, was so friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was cooked to order. We were just expecting a simple continental breakfast, but what we got was such a homey and pleasurable dining experience—I think it was eggs and hash on toast one day and french toast with a berry compote the other. Our dogs had such a lovely stay, we will definitely be returning. Also, worth noting that there were some pet-free travelers staying at the inn as well, so that should be a testament to its worthiness!

Paws on Pelham was great!! A true dog friendly inn, not just a place that allows dogs and charges extra fees for dog guests. The inn and room were spotless and adorably decorated with dog accents and nice fixtures throughout. Lots of nice spaces outside to relax. The staff does a great job with upkeep, breakfast was great too. All the women that work there were very nice and helpful. Location was central to everything in walking distance and they had a parking spot at another inn close by to park the car which made parking stress free. The small park down the block was so nice and convenient for short quick walk. Great place, will be back.

Feel so lucky to have stayed here with our dog. The inn is beautiful, modern, and super clean with a very welcoming staff. It has the character of buildings in the area with such a cute interior. The location is amazing with a very short walk to most restaurants/shops in the area. The breakfast and coffee were surprisingly good, and the on site water dispenser was a game changer. The included dedicated parking spot nearby was also incredibly convenient. It was also a great value - other hotels in the area add $100+ as pet fees and charge extra for parking, but everything here is built into the cost you see. Overall, highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Awesome experience! The place is clean and organized, excellent for dogs but unfortunately I don’t have one and still enjoyed my stay there. Walkable distance to bars, restaurants and everything you need. I highly recommend Paws on Pelham

My husband and I stayed with our boy Thelonious in mid November for the first time and we were extremely happy with all the inn has to offer. We have stayed at other dog friendly B&Bs and I would describe them as more dog tolerant as opposed to dog friendly. That was not our experience at Paws on Pelham. Our room was extremely comfortable and so clean. We even stayed in both nights and ordered in for dinner because our room was so comfortable. Thelonious enjoyed his stay as well. He especially loved the bay window where he watched the activity on the street. The breakfast was delicious both mornings. We can't wait to go back! We have already booked for February. Thank you Antonio for making our stay so special.

We had a wonderful weekend stay here with our family and 2 dogs! Inn was super clean, staff was fantastic, room was cozy and warm, bed and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Located in great section of Newport- very easy to walk downtown! We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful experience, will be returning! We found this gem on the Bring Fido app as we always travel with our sweet pup. Everything was perfect and better than pictured, all of the little details were such a joy. Great location, clean rooms, off street parking, wonderful staff, other guests were lovely, we couldn’t ask for more! We stayed in room 3, good charging station by the bed, calm vibes. Outdoor seating spaces are ample and well appointed, loved our stay! ❤️🐾🐾

What a wonderful experience! We took a road trip through New England and this was our favorite place we stayed. Our little pup also loved having the dog house to lay in in room #6! Service was excellent, it's obvious the staff cares about treating their customers well. They communicated quickly and were flexible with us. It's also just a 7 or 8 minute walk to the waterfront. Perfect!

The absolute cutest dog friendly inn! The rooms were so spacious (including a huge bathroom and shower) and decorate adorably with dog beds and dog art everywhere. The home-made breakfast was delicious which we enjoyed on the RUFFdeck! Also just a few minutes walk towards downtown so location was very ideal. Can't recommend this place enough we loved it so much and can't wait to go back!

We had the BEST weekend, staying at Paws on Pelham! Close to parking, the bars and a lovely park for the dog to walk/do her business. The rooms are so neat and clean and you and your furry friend feel so special staying there. The location is great for Newport nightlife and is a great getaway to spend some quality time with your fur baby!

Fantastic inn! Centrally located, pet friendly, warm service and parking. It's an old building so you can hear a lot of what's going on around you but that's to be expected of most of the inns in the area. The rooftop deck was a great touch too, you can even see the ocean! I'd love to stay here again when we go back to Newport.

We had a great time at Paws on Pelham with our pup! The inn is incredibly clean, cute with all the dog themed details and the location couldn’t be better. Our room, while small, had big windows that poured so much light in (bathroom was spacious). We would stay here again!

We had a wonderful weekend at Paws on Pelham. My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary of our wedding in Newport, and wanted to bring our pup for the weekend. The experience from check in, to check out, to breakfast and customer service was fantastic. The inn is absolutely adorable and central to everything fun in Newport! We loved the included parking which was just a few steps away. We will definitely be back again and will be recommending this inn to our friends!!

We stayed at Paws on Pelham this week with our dog and our expectations were exceeded. You will not be disappointed by your stay here, whether you have a dog or not! You will feel right at home, you will be impressed by how clean your room and the entire building is, you will be delighted by the delicious breakfast cooked fresh each morning, and you will be impressed with how walkable you are to everything Newport has to offer. The "ruff" top deck was the cherry on top and we enjoyed having our breakfast up on the deck each morning. Decor was adorable and it's clear this building was thoughtfully and beautifully renovated while maintaining the charm of an old home. This was the perfect place to land for our first visit to Newport and we are already looking forward to our next trip so we can stay here again.

This place was so adorable! It was very clean and the little doggy details (wallpaper, decor) were so cute. If we are ever in Newport again, we will stay here again for sure. The price was great and the breakfast was delicious too. Our room was bigger than I thought it would be, and we had a beautiful claw foot tub in the bathroom. The location couldn’t be better either. We were right in downtown Newport and could walk to anywhere we wanted to go.

The walls are a bit thin, the neighbours were mindful and conscientious of that. Clean, comfortable well locates and a friendly town!! Dog friendly!!

Paws on Pelham was absolutely fantastic! Lisa and James were so accommodating throughout our stay. The innkeepers were just fantastic, we went on the day of the St.Patrick's Day Parade, and let us check in super early which was so nice of them seeing as it was freezing and raining. I brought my dog, Archie, with me and they were so great with him as well. They even supply food and water bowl for dogs which is great if you happen to forget yours. The room was spacious and it included a very nice Mini fridge and TV. We were right near the back door easily accessible to the outside. It made trips to the bathroom very convenient for Archie. The keyless entry was different but nice because you didn't have to worry about keys and misplacing them. I would recommend writing to code down somewhere and keeping it in your pocket or on your phone so it's easy to access. You would assume for a dog inn that it may smell like dogs but this inn smelt so good! You can tell the Innkeeprs put a lot of work into keeping the Inn in tip-top shape. The only downside was the thin walls, we could hear everything our upstairs neighbors were doing but it's an old house so that was expected. The other downside is that the parking is two blocks away. Luckily I was able to find street parking right in front of the Inn. Other than that, the location to Downtown Newport was INSANE. It's an 8-minute walk and you have an abundance of restaurants and activities. We will definitely be staying here the next time we come to Newport and it is HIGHLY suggested if you are traveling with your furry friend. And if animals/dogs aren't your cup of tea, The Paws on Pelham have a sister inn, Serenity Inn, right across the street that doesn't allow animals.

One highlight of our stay in Newport, we had a great experience at Paws on Pelham. The staff is kind and engaging. We felt welcomed before we arrived and felt at home during our stay! Our room was clean, stylish, and most importantly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and conveniently prepared for grab-&-go. The steak breakfast sandwich was fantastic and deserves a special mention! We will definitely come again on our return visit to Newport!

This was the first time we brought our dog on a trip with us and it was AWESOME. The space is clean, stylish, and pup-focused. We stayed in room 1 and we loved the separate living space. The linens and bed was super comfortable and the shower was HUGE. The only teeny critique is that the water pressure was just ok. The innkeeper was such a nice guy and showed us around upon arrival. We loved and and highly recommend!

Our stay here was great! The rooms are cozy and clean. We were able to get early check in which worked out great because we had arrived to the area a bit early. Lisa, the inn keeper walked me up and even helped us get up to the room. Everyone was kind and welcoming. And the breakfast the following morning was fantastic! If you’re traveling with your dog this is an excellent place to stay!

We just returned from a great mini-vacation. We were looking for a pet friendly place because we have two Siberian Huskies that come with us… Paws on Pelham was perfect… the room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. It’s a beautiful Inn, located ideally to reach downtown or Ocean Drive in minutes. There is a park nearby to let the dogs stretch. They served a great breakfast each morning. The people were helpful and service was great… We will be back.

Paws on Pelham is in a great location, has a very generous and tasty grab and go breakfast and has great service (Ebony was super friendly and understood our dog's anxiety in new places). From the large bathroom, the clean rooms and the nice front desk area with water bowls for dogs, this was a great place. We would certainly come back again.

I had a wonderful time while staying at Paws on Pelham. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I loved the dog themed decorations around the house. Lisa was amazing and super helpful with recommendations. Location was very convenient for restaurants and tourist-y things.

My boyfriend and I stayed here with our golden this past weekend on our trip Newport. Everything about Paws on Pelham was great! We stayed in two different rooms while there due to a last minute addition of a night due to an incoming storm. The staff was great in letting us stay in the first room until our second room was ready and both rooms were extremely clean. The staff was friendly and professional. They serve breakfast every morning (menu changes daily) and it was delicious - definitely not your average breakfast. Parking is available, which is great as street parking is not easy to find. The inn is a short walk down to Thames/Bowen's Wharf or up to Bellevue - it is truly a great/central location. We will definitely be back soon!

Paws on Pelham is a must-stay hotel if you’re traveling to Newport, RI with your pup! Ebony was absolutely phenomenal. She greeted us with homemade treats, informed us about all the pup-friendly attractions and restaurants in the area, and left us an additional fan in our room (room #5) because it gets lots of light and can get warm after a hot day. We had the best stay in the immaculate, well-designed rooms, and our fur baby, Gus, had the time of his life! He thoroughly enjoyed the built in dog beds in our room and the “rufftop”….thank you again. We will definitely be coming back!

My partner and I took a spontaneous trip to Newport with our 10 month old puppy this past weekend and we could not be happier with our stay! The service was excellent, the room was so dog friendly, and the breakfast was amazing with lots of fresh fruit. It is in a walkable location to shops and restaurants. The cute dog theme decor was a great bonus too.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paws on Pelham. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast they serve daily is amazing. The entire staff was very attentive and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The bed & breakfast is in a great location with a beautiful park right next to it.. We took our pup with us and we had a great time. We will definitely be going back.

We had a wonderful stay at Paws on Pelham. The Innkeeper reached out to us prior to arrival to coordinate timing and provide us a tour of the B&B. The staff were friendly and accommodating and readily available to answer any questions we had. The room was spacious, well maintained, and spotless when we arrived. We were impressed with the breakfast each morning, as well as free water bottles, coffee, tea, and a refillable water bottle station. There were plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy ourselves, including a roof deck! The B&B was located just a few minutes' walk from all the main attractions, and the free parking spot alleviated our concerns about driving. We would definitely recommend staying at Paws on Pelham!
