👍👍 From the excellent reviews, I was expecting a lot. I wasn't disappointed. The menu contains the traditional tapas options, with the odd twist. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered 6 tapas between the two of us. This ended up being quite a bit of food. We still managed it though. Some dish... From the excellent reviews, I was expecting a lot. I wasn't disappointed. The menu contains the traditional tapas options, with the odd twist. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered 6 tapas between the two of us. This ended up being quite a bit of food. We still managed it though. Some dishes are on the pricey side, but the quality made them worth it. The mushrooms in cream, the pork belly and the albondigas (with cheese) were the highlights. But, as mentioned, everything was delicious.

Lovely place. For the price some tapas might at least come with 4 pieces instead of 3 which is still small (I.e. calamari rings, meatballs, croquetas…). The place is super nice and the stuff friendly. Food is tasty.

Lovely restaurant and decor. Nice wine.. awesome chicken wings, calamari, and chorizo. Service was quick and efficient but lacked a friendly attentive touch from the serving staff who looked like they didn't want to be there. Pricing is spot on.. A busy venue and a nice atmosphere.

This was our first time. We booked online and quickly got all email back to confirm the booking🙂First impression was Wow, this decor is interesting! I won't spoil it but it was different but in a good way. The waitress and service was quick. The waitress was a friendly, nice lady. There was 3 of us, so we ordered 9 Tapas dishes, which was perfect. The food was delicious. Couldn't fault it. My teenager had a mocktail which was superb. We would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be going back and happy to take friends there too.

1st time tapas didn't book but they were more than helpful to seat us. Food was to die for all freshly cooked you could taste the freshness. Customer service was fantastic. Already booked my next table.

Been missing our regular trips to Seville this last two years so some great tappas was most welcome. All dishes were lovely. Staff were very friendly. Been a couple of times before; should really go more often. San Miguel on draft; we preferred the Estrella.

What a lovely place right on our doorstep that we have only just tried for the first time. The food was excellent and the decor is just amazing. They were very busy so service was a little slow but when they got to us all of the staff were very polite and lovely. We will definitely be back.

We had 6 plates between 2 and a bread side easily enough and the Malbac is a great wine nice seating on the kerbside its like you are on vacation on a warm late summer evening a definate for another visit 5*

A great place. Tapas are only small so it's better ordering two dishes. Plenty to choose from and great drink selection as well. The bill can add up (the more you have), but still: a celebration, date night - it's worth at least once a month. Best to book a table in advance as well. Parking is practically no existent so- a taxi is best - drink more sangria that way!

Being a Spaniard in Manchester, I’ve found it quite hard to find a Spanish place with an authentic taste that’s not overpriced. La Cueva positively surprised me! The food took me right back to Spain - I was a little child again enjoying my grandma’s cooking. The portions were decently sized and the atmosphere was great. Definitely will be coming back!

Wonderful tapas place, we had a lovely evening when we visited last September. Service was great with wonderful staff, and amazingly lush food - mains and desserts. Would recommend the churros and chocolate orange cake. The interior is amazing, and there was such a lovely atmosphere.

Had gorgeous, authentic tapas here last night! The food was delicious and tasty, the paella in particular was gorgeous. Great wine list and beer selection too. The food and drink is fairly priced. The staff were attentive and the service was quick despite the restaurant being fully booked. Really quirky "cueva/cave" feel inside. The place has been really tastefully designed. If you are looking for authentic Spanish food in the Cheadle area look no further😃😋 would highly recommend 👌

The best tapas I've ever had! Every dish was delicious and we had 20 of them between 5, it was a challenge but worth it. The lamb dishes were to die for. Highly recommended, the food is amazing and the staff are excellent!

Amazing food! Went a few years ago under different management and thought quite the opposite. Great sangria too. Not to keen on the interior but everything else including the friendly staff are excellent!

Delicious tapas and red wine! Recommend the rioja. The service was good considering it was busy. We'd booked on-line but when we got there the only table available was right next to the entrance door and as it was such a cold night, we declined. The manager suggested we have a drink next door and he'd have a different table ready for us later. We didn't mind as we wanted to try the bar next door anyway which was great! After a couple of drinks we returned to the restaurant and was warmly greeted by the manager again (he even remembered our names) with a smile and directed us to a more suitable table. It was a nice evening and certainly recommend La Cueva! We'll go again especially as it's local.

You don’t need to go to Manchester for Tapas now! La Cueva is as good as anything you get anywhere. Very impressed with six dishes we had (especially the meat balls with cheese), all very tasty and competitively priced. It’s been extended recently and will be opening a bar next door this weekend! So covers all bases. Strongly recommend.

Haven't been here for a while due to moving out of area, they have recently renovated and expanded and the place looks fab. The food was so excellent tasted beautiful couldn't fault anything really. The meat was all beautifuly cooked and perfectly flavored it was busy and great atmosphere despite being a Monday. We will be back next time in the area! All I would say is we really fancied a creme Catalan or something similar for dessert get that added to the menu and this would be perfection!

We've been going here for a few years now, we've tried other local tapas places but while they might have better decor and be in a 'trendier' spot than Cheadle, the food at La Cueva is always so much better. Most recently we had 9 fresh cooked hot dishes plus olives and bread, which came out to around £80 for the 3 of us on the food, with sangria + soft drinks for another £25. The food comes out when it's cooked so dishes don't usually arrive all at once, and you don't have to order all at once either.

Amazing place. Staff were really friendly, and the food came really quickly. We had 7 tapas dishes between 2 which was a perfect amount. All really tasty, we loved it!
