Watched Top Gun:Maverick today with the family. Even better than the first Top Gun, absolutely brilliant movie. But was very impressed by the staff at the cinema, especially a gentleman called Tony. He took the time to sit down after the film and have a chat with our autistic son about the movie. They were even kind enough to give him a promotional poster for the movie.

Cant go wrong with this cinema for the price. Old style seats but you couldn't ask for more for £5 to see a movie. It's clean has everything you would expect. I would go again and recommend Vue. We went to see the Mario movie on release day enjoyed the experience. Parking is not free but it's in the town centre so you have to pay a couple of pound. The parking is the only bad part. Small cramped parking. A child hit my car with another car door but no damage.

This was a complete first for me!! We went to see Top Gun - Maverick and paid online for premium tickets. When we got there we were the only 2 people in the auditorium!!! So I felt a teeny bit ripped off for the premium tickets, as we could have sat anywhere we wanted!!

Excellent cinema. Staff is always great as well. Toilets are well kept and hygiene standards are great. Comfy standard seating, although they could be a little wider (feels a bit squashy). But I guess it's only £1 extra for the vip seating so can't complain too much. For the price of £4.99 for a ticket you just can't complaint. Love coming here regularly with my partner.

We celebrated a birthday in Vue Cinema Birkenhead today and the amazing staff brought some barrier posts for our red carpet to make us all feel very special - and keep the paparazzi on distance ;) A day to remember with a super funny movie (Mummies - Discover A New World) on a fantastic screen (Studio 7) and very comfy seats. With super fair prices at Vue we had the opportunity to invite lots of guests without blasting the budget. Definitely my No.1 Cinema!!!

This Vue, is relatively small in comparison to some. Booking online was really easy. On arrival the parking was easy too, I have a disabled mum of 74yrs and we parked in a disabled bay - close to the building. The entrance hall is clean, well laid out, no steps, push button disabled doors. When we purchased our treats it was a simple transaction we were able to use debit card / cash. There are no stairs to the actual screens until you get into the viewing screen - where you'll find your booked chair. The toilets were clean and well maintained. The seats in the screening room were clean, in excellent condition, the surroundings were clean too. The staff that we interacted with were professional and smartly dressed. 5☆ experience

Good screen and overall experience but the cinema is in dire need of some investment. Seats were ripped and looked a little run down

All great except that when we turned up, the place looked like it was closed down!! Open some doors and make it look like it’s actually open for business. I almost claimed a refund and went home. Once inside, seats were great, picture and sound quality where great, even the popcorn tasted good!! 👍🏻

Very affordable ticket prices, as we're a large family suits us down to the ground. Very helpful staff. VIP seats for all of us, not often you get us altogether. The girls had fun none the less.

Great price ( compared to other companies ), comfy seats, easy parking, big screen. Bit disappointed they stopped serving food before the last movie and the price of sweets etc. is too high.

It's my first theater which I visited in UK it's absolutely nice there are total 7 theaters inside. The sound effects and the visual was totally good and super. And the wash rooms are very hygiene. And we will get the snacks from the ticket counter itself

This is a good cinema and very modern. The film we saw was the new Avatar. This is a film of which I would comment that if you never saw another you must see this. In 3d as wel. It's a very long film nearly 3hrs without interval. Such is the quality of the film the time flies and we paid a bit extra for VIP seats. Money well spent as I have an ongoing problem with my pshyatic nerve. Suffice it to say i had no difficulties at this venue. Loved it.

The Vue has a large foyer area which allows people to gather and meet before their film. Staff are friendly and food is served quickly and efficiently. Film prices are incredibly reasonable and it does accept voucher codes such as Meerkat movies. It's a very clean building - from the foyer to the screens and the toilets. Seats in the screens are nice and comfortable, no matter the price point. There's an acceptable number of adverts and trailers before the film, I do find the speakers a little loud but I soon get used to the noise level. I like coming to this cinema as it's conveniently located and shows most of the main blockbuster films, but does often have other events on their screens.

Sad to see a cinema in this state. Cinema room smelt like urine. I wanted to ask for a refund but the kids didn't so had to bare it. And the staff had to be told to turn the lights off when the film started. Never seen that before.

Love the vue. It's always spotless It's so reasonably priced. I like the small popcorn trays for the kids with a drink and a chocolate bar for just a couple of pounds it means everyone gets a treat

Seating area approaches, the small staircases actually to the seats were dangerous, nothing to hold on to. I was with several elderly people and we all found getting up to and later down from the seating area a problem. Also a cold draught and strange smell emanating from behind the screen. Otherwise all 7 of us in there enjoyed the film.

Not bad at all. Lots of space as the place was mostly empty as we went on a Sunday night. However, can't give 5 stars when you pay £13 for 2 bags of popcorn. I can get 1 moth worth of popcorn for £13 to feed a family of five. All prices are horribly inflated and makes no sense to pay more for the same product. I assume this is how cinemas run and it's how actors get paid the big bucks. All in all, the experience wasn't bad at all. Will most likely visit again and bring a backpack full of snacks with me.

Always great prices, lovely staff and a wide selection of snacks. The cost of the tickets really draws you in, and it's possible to have a great movie experience for less than £10 per person including a snack

We were in splendid isolation! But it was immaculately clean and the staff were lovely. The seats are very comfortable as well.

A handrail for safety to get up and down the stairs would be good. My partner missed his step and fell his length down them in the dark - a few bruises luckily no damages except to his pride - but could have been much worse and easily avoided.

There is parking but restrictions not very clear. There's a big toilet just by the entrance and quick service to go to the showrooms. Chairs comfortable but most of them you cannot recline (different from other VUEs I have been to). There are is a row that you can choose with recliner (H I think). It was a good experience but I think it needs a refurbishing to look a bit nicer.

Located in Birkenhead with parking literally outside the door. It is charged for by the hour during the day, although if you visit of an evening like my friend and I did its free. Went to see Elvis which was well worth the visit. Its not the newest cinema in the area, and not my first choice either. Although the online booking process is straight forward, the ticket prices are competitive and the cinema was clean and tidy.

Really good. Went on Saturday evening and it was surprisingly quiet (too quiet really). Staff where nice and friendly. it was cheap too.

Usually go to Bromborough Odeon but wanted to be voters to home this time. Happy with the experience although some random kids got into our screen right at the end so perhaps an eye needs to be kept on that.

Excellent staff. No ice experience all round. Not too busy. Watched one movie with my daughter and we had the cinema to ourselves 😂 I felt like a king 😂😂😂

Usually go to Cheshire Oaks but thought we would give Birkenhead a try. It was so much cheaper but still the same Vue experience. Had a nice coffee and hot chocolate which were reasonably price.

Such a shame that this isn't the best picture house around as it was when it first opened and the ticket counter was at the front rather than at the popcorn counter when you don't want popcorn! However it's by far the cheapest, it's always clean, almost always empty and the staff have always be very pleasant. My first choice when taking the family to watch a film because we can buy sweets/drinks etc with what we save compared to other pictures.

Not been to the cinema in ages, nearly 7 years. This is a nice cinema, and cheaper than Bromborough odean, at least based on today's prices, £4.99 each seat. Very clean but God was it loud! Ear splitting surroud sound and comfy seats. Watched a nice film with the family on a very stormy day and we were greated by some super friendly staff. We will be back.

This must have been one of the worst experiences I've had at a cinema. Teenagers constantly moving seats, conducting loud conversations & yapping into their phones, completely ruining it for people who had paid good money to enjoy the film. Nobody from the staff monitoring what was going on. Far from throwing the offenders out, they were letting more of them in! Eventually gave up and had to ask for a refund. If I could have given zero stars I would have done - avoid like the plague.

Affordable ticket prices are very welcome. Ben visiting here for years. The staff have always been helpful, and the screen rooms have always been tidy for me. My only complaint is the other movie viewers there. The locals can easily ruin a movie experience.

You can book online very easily and use a QR code- nice and easy. Once there everyone is very nice and the place is spotless. Screens are great, seating is good when using the VIP chairs and never had any issues with other audience members, like in some other places. If I could suggest two things, more legroom on the VIP seats as it is cramped and WHY SO LOUD on the ads and trailers on the children's films. You can see them all covering their ears as it clearly hurts. They are young and their hearing is generally perfect. Please don't ruin it and turn the volume down.

Whilst this cinema doesn't quite match in size to the one at Cheshire Oaks in terms of the number of screens and it's location, it is still a great venue to watch the latest films. The only thing that is missing is a local Costa/Starbucks, where people can get together before/after a screening. It is a lovely cinema, that just seems to be tucked away on its own.
