2 stars for a nice pint thats it . pretentious staff think its a west end pub not a barrow pub. Got asked to leave for next to nothing and i kniw a few others who have been kicked out for next to f all.

Myself and my partner stayed the night as a bit of a break before the Easter rush begins. The hotel and bar are fabulous. Great looking dining / bar area with loads of atmosphere. The food / drink were excellent with a great choice on the menu. Staff were also brilliant all night and couldn't do enough for us.

We had a one night getaway here and honestly such a beautiful place to stay! The room, the food, everything was amazing! Only downside for me personally, if your a light sleeper, bring earplugs, the seagulls are ruthless at silly o'clock! Not the hotels fault as their in the centre but honestly couldn't recommend this place anymore! 🤗

I visited the townhouse for a Christmas meal. Although is was extremely busy with several work parties, staff were attentive and friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bar/restaurant has some lovely decorations. The pasta was slightly bland but it can only be expected when the restaurant is so busy and kitchen is focussing on Christmas meals. I would definitely visit here again

Odd pizza toppings. Very expensive beer. Poor selection of beers and cocktails. Really uncomfortable cane chairs in restaurant.

We stopped by for a quick drink, intending to explore the other local bars and find somewhere to eat. After seeing how nice it was, receiving a warm welcome and trying the cocktails we decided to stick around. The decor is fantastic and it's a really nice place to be. The drinks menu was great, we tried several of the cocktails and were happy with all of them. We then stayed for dinner and the food was fantastic. Couldn't fault anything about our night at The Townhouse.

Went for a meal last night. The bar and restaurant is decorated lovely and we got a warm.and friendly welcome. Sadly the restaurant seemed extremely understaffed with only 2 members of staff for the restaurant and bar which meant after taking the initial drinks and food order the service pretty much stopped. I sat without a drink for over 30 minutes trying to get someone's attention but no one came to ask if we wanted another, or check if the food was OK (which one meal wasn't really, the burger was burnt) so I wasn't able to order the drink I wanted or feedback about the food. I had wanted to look at the desert menu but gave up after being there 1.5 hours and only having 1 drink and our meal. I know things are difficult under the current circumstances so did give some leeway, but did feel that an additional member of staff would have made a huge difference last night.

Lovely atmosphere and cocktails, food not quite to my taste, staff were nice, however service at times was ridiculously slow

Wednesday 19th May 2021. Booked for 3 people 12.30 lunch. Food was faultless. Service felt rushed but the server was plesent. We spent £125 on food and drinks... Not bad for lunch lol. However the restaurant is in desperate need of a clean . Dust was thick on top of light shades... Booth mirrors all streaky and looked unclean... And what was that smell whilst going ro the toilets... Like drainage... This was off putting and had I known prior to food I would not of ate there. .

What a lovely stay! I booked this as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend and we were both absolutely blown away by the kindness of the staff (mainly Eric) and the fact that I didn't even have to ask for banners to be put in the room or desert after Dinner was just amazing. So thoughtful of the staff. Food was wonderful and the room was perfect! Would recommend to anyone and will for sure be coming again to stay. Thank you for having us!!

The food i had was excellent so would absolutely recommend the fillet steak cooked to perfection, the sea bass a wonderful dish and the burger is one of the best I have had. Room I had was spacious super large comfortable bed and linen for a good nights sleep. Some attention to detail required in terms of maintenance ie extractor fan not working and just a little finesse required. Location is central. The restaurant and bar is a set apart from what else is around. In general I would say the intentions are right keep standards high and attention to detail to improve and move in the right direction.

Boutique for Barrow in Furness. This is a modern bar and restaurant that has rooms, not a hotel, it's really a modern take on an Inn. Service on a Monday night was a bit stretched. I witnessed customers being turned away from the restaurant before 9pm, on a Mon, with no big groups in. The room was modern and well laid out. But the bed was very soft and not comfortable. The bathroom floor looks dirty due to poor quality of work, the wall tiles need a good grout cleaning.

Came here for an overnight stay, we liked the room because it had a jacuzzi bath in the room. The room was spacious with a kitchenette built in, which had a toaster, fridge and kettle. The TV was a smart TV with Netflix, YouTube etc which was good, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was good. The hotel itself is in a good location for the shops, bars, etc. The bar downstairs looked nice and had a good selection of drinks and food on offer (however we didn't visit the bar). The negatives are that we were in the Dalton Suite which is right above the bar, so we had music going on until 12pm which wasn't ideal as it was quite loud in our room and we just wanted to sleep. We didn't ask to swap rooms but I'm sure that the staff would've let us. Plus the room didn't have air con and the room got quite hot through the night. The hotel car park is only small, so you're best going there early and leaving your car there until you check out. Otherwise you won't be able to get in. There is however a carpark near by which is very cheap for 24hours.

Booked in for a roast dinner, turned up and they said they only had 1 roast left. Despite us telling them that was the reason we were coming, they didn’t tell us there was a risk of them running out otherwise we would have booked elsewhere! Food was good but waiter was extremely rude

This hotel is one of the best myself and my partner have ever stayed in. The room is absolutely gorgeous, a mini apartment which is immaculately furnished and has a spa bath and is fully equipped with beverages and was extremely comfortable. The hotel itself is also very well decorated. The staff have been exceptional from check in to check out and were all so friendly. There honestly is no words for how unreal the food was. We ordered a mix of starters and mains and I cannot recommend it enough, the chef is exceptional. Thank you so much for a genuinely wonderful stay. We will definitely be back and we will recommend you to everyone we know. Special thanks to Eric who was so helpful upon check in, super friendly and sorted everything for us.

wish I could give this restaurant zero stars, because it was the worst dining experience of my life. The food was bland, cold, and microwaved. My starter consisted of frozen vegetables in uncooked batter. My heavily pregnant friend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs only to find the meatballs were raw. She sent her dish back and did not feel comfortable enough to order another meal due to the issues we experienced. We also ordered a pizza which came out 10 minutes after all the other mains and was so undercooked that the dough was still raw. Just as I didn’t think this experience could get worse, my friend whose hen party we were out celebrating started to feel sick. As it transpires the restaurant had not prepared the food correctly and my friend who has a gluten allergy had indeed been given a dish with gluten in. We complained to the manager, who was like dear in the headlights only told be advised he was not actually the manager and that the restaurant manager was not available. We were promised that the head chef would call us to apologise but that didn’t happen. I’m not surprised as a microwave can not pick up the phone and speak. We left feeling sick and angry, and vowed never to return to this awful restaurant. This ruined my friend’s special celebration.

We stayed for 2 nights mid-week in an upgraded spa room. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, the food was great 👍 The hotel is in an ideal location with off site free parking. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I look forward to staying here again.

Such a beautiful hotel room. Was very clean and modern. The room gave such a “home” kind of feeling. The guy with Curly brown hair was very nice as well on reception. Will defo return if I’m in the area !

Visited the restaurant for evening meal whilst staying in a nearby hotel. Different offers depending on the night are available, plus a 2 or 3 course price at certain times (1700 to 1900, not sure which days, but definitely on Mondays) on items marked with a #. Food was lovely, plus the kitchen accommodated "tweaks" which was an added bonus. Will definitely return when in the area.

Went to The Townhouse tonight. First day opened after lockdown. Very organised and friendly staff all wearing masks. We’d reserved a booth and were seated immediately. A member of staff explained the track and trace and took our details. The menu was limited which we expected. My food was beautiful. I had the Stilton garlic mushrooms, townhouse burger and salted caramel tart with orange sorbet. Couldn’t fault it at all. Unfortunately my friend had the townhouse sticky ribs and they weren’t nice at all. The sauce/marinade was like a paste and was very overpowering and an odd texture and she couldn’t eat them. The waitress apologised and knocked the price of the meal off the bill. Considering it was only their first night reopening I was impressed and the food was lovely. I’ll definitely be back. Lovely staff, well organised and nice atmosphere

Love it here AND the owners are kind enough to offer an NHS discount, which we appreciate very much! The food is beautiful, they serve a fantastic afternoon tea with prosecco (very generous limit). The decor is modern and comfortable. We were there so long (6 hours!) they needed us to move, we were given a little area to ourselves. The staff are very helpful. They have rooms here, I would imagine they are very nice, the breakfast is great here to!

Amazing!! Came away for a 2 nights so that we could get a break and We throughly enjoyed our stay! The apartment is amazing, done out lovely! Beds are huge and very comfy. Jacuzzi bath is also a lovely touch! The bonus part for us aswel was the fact that they allow dogs which was great because we usually stay in Glamping pods when at the Lake District!!! Will 100% stay again when we are over this way. The only one thing I will say would be that the music on a Saturday night is very loud but to be honest I wore earplugs so I slept through it!?

Thought this place looked great on the photos which it did when we also arrived unit we noticed the carpet was covered in dog hairs. The jacuzzi bath was also filthy and half a roll of toilet roll in the bathroom. We even left a night early as this was all mentioned to a staff member and we was told they would send someone up to clean it and that never happend. Really is a shame as it is decorated to a really high standard but obviously not managed in the same way.
