  • 5In The D. 2 years ago
I got married in this church more times than I can count, basically every Sunday with my boyfriend. The marriage vows were written in the hymn book 😂 and we would say them to each other. I loved it when we are at church and all your friends show up. Back door entrance, 3rd pew from the back! BAM that’s where the gang was..... it was the best of times.

Great variety store, lots of options across several categories of items. From toys, to electronics & medication to printing & make-up. Whatever you need you're likely to find it here. There is also a tourist section where you can buy Jamaican memorabilia & t-shirts etc. You can also get gym items here as well 😁 The pharmacy is typically slow and as such I don't normally use it

  • 4Naruka T. 4 years ago
When you need time to reconnect and be recharge spiritually this is the place to be. Congregation demonstrate Christian fellowship, love for all, caring for the less fortunate etc.

  • 4John Nathanael Thomas N. 2 years ago
The place where I graduated in 1987. Profoundly impacting and awe-inspiring place with a lot history. Awesome place.

  • 4Tanya V. 3 years ago
Centrally located - easy to access yet the noise from the nearby market and bus park do not disturb the peace in the place. It appears built to withstand the test of time - remaining sturdy and a solid refuge welcoming the lost, the faithful, the hopeful. I enjoyed leaning against it's cool stone walls in the heat of the day!

  • 4Rochelle K. 5 years ago
Tiny but welcoming attractive park in the heart of Mandeville's centre. Does a lot in beautifying the town, very clean with cool refreshing breeze blowing at all hours. Benches available for relaxing. Lots of historic appeal worked into the park as well such as busts and accompanying plaques for the park's namesake Cecil Charlton and Norman Manley, who was born in the parish of Manchester. There are signs about neighbouring historic buildings, namely the Mandeville Courthouse and St. Mark's Anglican Church. Even the water fountain is significant, telling a story about Manchester's bauxite history. A must-see while in this neck of the woods

  • 4Stephen l. 1 year ago

Located in the centre of Mandeville, the capital of Manchester, the Cecil Chatlton Park is historic. A nice place to just hang out with friends, have a picnic or just take in the beautiful scenery.

  • 3Claudia R. 1 year ago
Beautiful main city centre gardens, most often locked so general public access is at select times during the year to my knowledge.

  • 3Ashley B. 10 months ago
I rated it four stars because we are not allowed inside the park itself. The free wifi is a kind gesture though.

  • 2Romaine W. 3 years ago
Patrons left it filled with garbage, it could be a great place to relax if it is cleaned

  • 2Richards f. 2 years ago
We cant even use the park. It doesn't seems interested anymore

  • 2Simoy K. 2 years ago
The custodian of the park need some sensitivity training and the person who was in charge of the bathrooms before needs to come back, because the person there now cannot clean a bathroom.... it's no longer dry, the place is smelly, I don't think I want to spend $50 just so I can piss in someone else's filth

This place was ok.......... i guess my biggest issue is the fact that you can't sit or walk on the grass and the security was disrespectful.

  • 2Debbie M. 1 year ago
Would have been nice if we could go inside the park… drove all the way from Kingston with my nephew for his assignment and the park was closed indefinitely.

  • 1Brandon N. 3 years ago
This park was the highlight of the town back in the 2000'S . Used to chill there every weekend and sometimes after school. Great place to meet new people. It was closed for a few months due to renovation. After reopening. ?Got way nicer.

  • 1Candice J. 3 years ago
You may have some customers who needs guidance especially if it’s there first time making a purchase at an establishment. Now I’m not sure who is operating the phone lines in the Mandeville location but lady you need to get your sh** together before dealing with people. I don’t know what problems you have and you taking it to work and then out on customers. I had the worst experience here and I will forever be talking about it. Imagine I needed a Valentines gift and I’m asking you questions and you there giving me attitude and then have the audacity to disconnect the call. It’s your job, if you never want to do it then find something else.

  • 1peggy W. 3 years ago

  • 1Yashi W. 1 year ago
This park has been renovated for years now and it remains closed unless there is a government event being held! This was once a spot for residents to sit, catch their breath on a busy day and just enjoy the cool breeze. Now it is a non functional waste of space and tax dollars.

  • 1Pamella A. 11 months ago
I gave this one star because there is nothing less. The person who guards this park is very combative and have an unrealistic goal for the park: zero visitors. I came to Jamaica for a brief vacation and my niece with my 3 year old nephew took me to see the park. Before we could enter he accosted in an unwelcoming manner and said we have 15 minutes only. That was hardly enough time to see the flowers and other displays in the park. To make matters worse, we hardly had time to find a bench and put our stuff down when he followed us and crassly said the baby can't put his shoes on the bench. He continued to complain how he has to wipe them every morning. Isn't that a part of his job? We decided to leave immediately but want to take at least one picture over by some flowers. Believe it or not, he followed us and contthe same complaint. We worked very hard not to argue with this angry unhappy man. As we exist the park, we could still here him inside quarreling. People tell me now, what is the point of guarding an empty park, where visitors are shooed away and cannot enjoy the small bit of nature that it offers. Owners, Please replace this person. Even the plants looked unhappy being in the presence of such negative energy. DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MADE TO FEEL LIKE TRASH. That man is that horrible.

  • 1Nathalee B. 9 months ago
If I could give zero stars I would....this is the worst park to visit the security guard has absolutely no manners and is very unwelcoming he does not know how to speak to visitors, constantly complaining ,shouting and following you around. Avoid visiting unless u want to be treated in a poorly manner

  • 1nathalee b. 7 months ago
I would not recommend visiting this park unless u like to be treated in a poorly manner. The security guard has absolutely no manners and tries to intimidate u by being loud and obnoxious...u can't even take a decent pic at this park because most of it is off limits u can't step anywhere as u please

  • 1o. 2 months ago
Nice but most times it's under lock and key
