I didn't really have any major issues. It is a nice place to go if you want some quiet time.

Excellent service at the front desk, friendly staff. Very clean rooms, nothing was out of place. Only the balcony needed some work but I was still able to go out and enjoy it. Will definitely be back.

I'm giving this review from the perspective of someone who used to live in Mandeville but now lives overseas.
The hotel is in the middle of the city and allows you to access the entire town because of its central location. If you don't mind walking, you won't need a car and taxes are readily available.
They're food places all around and lots to do. Mandeville is into your typical tourist destination as there are no beaches close by. But if you want to be a part of the Jamaican culture, this one's quiet town it's a good place to start as you have lots of interactions with the locals.
That being said, if you're looking for somewhere quiet which has food and a little entertainment on property then this is your place. The property is older but will suit all your needs, especially if you're just looking for a place to crash.
I did live in Mandeville but had the opportunity to stay in some of the rooms and use some of the facilities as well and they were always clean and good to go.
Service was always excellent as well.
Tip : if you're looking to stay here, call the hotel directly as you may get better rates than what you see online.

We got married there in December 2022, the food and the service was exemplary.
Ms. Elliot made my special day stress free and beautiful.
Everything was perfect apart from me being hours late lol, and they were so accommodating.

This place was my worse stay ever at a hotel but due to proximity to where I work it was ideal. First of all i was given a key and was not directed to where the room was. I was struggling with my luggage with a gentleman sitting there looking at me. He eventually asked me if I needed help and just took me to the top of the stairs and left me. The steps are termite invested, that or the boards are rotting. The bed was lumpy, the water fills up in the bath tub......I was taking a shower. The wifi is non existent. Lucky there is hot water but this kicked in when I was almost done showering. The door to the balcony couldn't be lock so I felt unsecure. I could see through the front door knob. I missed a call from the front desk and got a knock on my door a few minutes later with someone shouting that I need to remember that check out was at 11. I hurriedly put on some clothes and finished getting ready in my car. π

Stayed for 1 night. My stay was very pleasant. Breakfast was very nice, I really enjoyed it. I had the full Jamaican breakfast.
In fact it was so nice I went back on Monday. I had something different and it was scrumptious.
I gave 4 stars as I don't give 5 stars for anything π

The staff is very nice and helpful. It is an older establishment so the building could use some upgrades. Breakfast is very good. I would come back again with my family.

The site advertises free breakfast that was not true, the room had only one bathmat and washcloth for two persons, no internet plus the room want to be fresh up. The service was very poor.

Mandeville Hotel was exceptional! I worked with the Events Manager for our wedding on July 1st and we were amazed. She is very professional, knowledgeable, diligent, flexible and prompt in all communications.
The security guard and staff are welcoming, respectable and always working diligently to cater for the needs of their guest.
Once you know what you want they will surely deliver, their food was scrumptious. I definitely recommend Mandeville Hotel for events.
Again thanks to the Event Manager and her team that ensure our day was a success.

It's good value for money. Food is good. But it is a little run down. But if you want to experience some of Jamaican history: in that it's the oldest running hotel in Jamaica - then definitely try this hotel. I probably would visit again as it is good value for money.

Attended a wedding there. It was lovely the service was amazing. However, due to the pandemic the place was a bit run down the pool was dirty and the yard wasn't very clean. It has been better but overall was a good experience being there.

I would recommend this hotel for events, as that's the aspect that I used. The Events Manager was extremely helpful, efficient, and responsive. They accommodated my event at the last minute and were very pleasant. The staff who catered to us was pleasant and courteous. And the food served was delicious. I highly recommend them for any event you may have.

The hotel is conveniently located in the town , so access to the supermarket, Captain Bakery etc was easy. Management should consider upgrading the hotel, nonetheless, my family and I wants to return next year. Such a pleasant and aaaaaaaawsome staff. Big up to Kenneth, Coleen, Rodian and the cleaners they made our stayed worthwhile.

Coming Jamaica π―π² and planning my trip to Mandeville was a dream come through until I booked into the Mandeville Hotel. The bed was dirty and fried rice from the previous guest were still on the bed. The room had cigarette buts all over and to add insult to injuries.... I saw some small bugs on the mattress. I looked under the bed just to see where the internet strip of paper went just to find a college student water bottle smiling with me as if weβre two friends meeting on a vacation. The balcony was a disaster with bottle caps and more cigarette π¬ butts asking me what time itβs. I would never π recommend this place to no one. The hotel room need proper cleaning and the bed and sheet need to be clean.

Too Expensive for one night's stay without any Inclusive Meals and Excitement. Staff Is Courteous especially the dark skinned female who offers an Exceptional customer service! The pool needs painting and needs to be kept clean and the beds are uncomfortable...but otherwise I think its a pretty ok Hotel. Just need to work on a few things and were Social Responsibility is concerned I haven't heard from MANDEVILLE HOTEL!!!!!

This was a great place for us to stay for a few days. Colleen at the front desk has really great service she made us felt welcome and answer all of our questions. The breakfast was amazing. I did have some difficulties with room 409, the team made other room arrangements. Everyone was polite when delivering a service.
