The Bhoo Varahaswamy Temple is situated in a small village called Kallahalli on the banks of the Hemavathi River. This is one of the most popular places near Mysore. The Bhoo Varahaswamy Temple Kallahalli is dedicated to the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Varahaswamy or the wild boar form. The god is considered to have supernatural powers. The idol is 18 foot tall and is a monolith made of gray stone. The Bhoo Varahaswamy Temple Kallahalli consists of two parts, the sanctuary and the front hall. At the entrance, there are two wide wooden doors. The awe-inspiring god is inside the sanctuary. The Pralaya Varahaswamy is in a sitting pose with the goddess Bhoodevi lying on her left knee. The village of Kalhalli is situated on the Bangalore-Mysore highway. The village is 32 km away from Pandupura, in the Mandya district. The closest bus stop is 2 km from the village.

Nice location. Temple on the bank overlooking 2 converging rivers Hemavathi and Kaveri. Temple is functional and sanctrum with diety is worshipped daily. Temple external work is in progress, dimensions of temple as per the masterplan is expected to be big and tall. Dasoha bhavana is located close to river bank and serves food on dry areca leave plates, they also accept donations and offerings for dasoha(receipt is given for offerings). Overall templeos well managed. Outside dasoha bhavana, local farmers sell fteshly grown produce and jaggery. Roads access near temple is limited and main road leading to temple is dug up for construction, locals have set up make shift stalls that sell pooja items(costly) and also offer free parking in the vicinity of temple.
