The Tipu Sultan Dargah in Channapatna, Karnataka, is a captivating archaeological site that immerses visitors in the rich tapestry of history. This serene and tranquil place offers an ideal setting for quality family time. What sets it apart is the absence of entry charges, allowing everyone to explore its wonders freely. However, it is important to respect the surroundings and uphold cleanliness while enjoying this remarkable property.

Good place for some short visit. Not much things to watch but you will get to see grave of all family members of Tipu. The designs of gate and you can pay players at dargah too. For more you can spend some time in gardens. : The Gumbaz at Srirangapattana is a Muslim mausoleum at the centre of a landscaped garden, holding the graves of Tippu Sultan (Western Side), his father Hyder Ali (Middle) and his mother Fakhr-Un-Nisa (Eastern Side). Tipu Sultan (Sultan Fateh Ali Sahab Tipu; 1 December 1751 – 4 May 1799), commonly referred to as the Tiger of Mysore, was the Indian Muslim ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore based in South India. He was a pioneer of rocket artillery. Tipu Sultan, who ruled the region for 17 years, with the town as his capital, has developed some Hindu temples by offering valuables and by providing financial assistance. He had donated four silver bowls to Sri Ranganathaswamy temple here, which are still being used for daily puja rituals. Masjid-i-Ala (also called Jama Masjid) is a mosque located inside the Srirangapatna Fort in Srirangapatna in Mandya District in Karnataka. It was built in 1786-87, during the rule of Tipu Sultan.

Its one of the very few remaining Archeological sites from the reign of Tipu Sultan. The tomb is the final resting place of Tipu Sultan, his father Hyder Ali and the Sultan's mother. The tomb is surrounded by 36 pillars signifying Tipu's period of rule of 36 years. There is large span of Garden where you can also sit and relax. - Place and Dargah is very neatly maintained. - Minimal Parking Fee - No Entry Fee

This remind us the history of Tipu, who had sacrificed his life to protect India from Britishers. This is the graveyard, here you will find the grave of Tipu, his father Hyder Ali, mother and many prominent personalities of that time. They have well maintain the area, outside you may find few street sellers and Horse Riding options.

No entrance Fees. Open till late evening. Very well maintained. Zero garbage inside. Horses outside are a fun ride for children and they seem healthy and happy unlike most of the places. King Tipu Sultan, aka Tiger died here during the 4th Anglo Mysore War in 1799. His mortal remains like there.

The Gumbaz was raised by Tipu Sultan in 1782-84 at Srirangapattana to serve as a mausoleum for his father and mother.[3] The mausoleum was surrounded by a cypress garden which is said to have different species of flowering trees and plants collected by Tippu Sultan from Persia, Ottoman Turkey, Kabul and French Mauritius.[4] The original carved doors of the mausoleum have been removed and are now displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The present doors made of ebony and decorated with ivory were gifted by Lord Dalhousie

A very serene peaceful place. Few localities have a picnic in the lawn with their extended family and packed food. They didn't litter the place. Hope every other person takes care to not litter the place. The disappointment was, entry is free. However parking cost is exorbitantly high. Don't know who pockets this money.
