Srirangapatna, a medieval town in Mandya District, enchants visitors with its legends. Visiting this town is surely one of the interesting things to do in Bangalore for those looking for something antique. The Ganga Dynasty rulers discovered it in the 9th century, but it gained prominence after the Vijayanagara Ruler came to power. An unavoidable historic place in Mysore. But no maintanence of Tippu's Remains or ruins in this place. Such warior must be honoured and fort place must be protected. Indian government is losing its one of the Pride historic place by allowing the public people to build buildings inside the fort walls.

I went there on vaikuntha ekadashi, the temple is nice but they failed to manage the crowd as it should be. There was only one women who was controlling the crowd and people were cutting the line and going for darshan because of which people who were standing in the queue had to wait long for darshan. Police who were posted to manage the crowd were busy bringing people of there own to darshan and not to be seen controlling the rush.

A very important temple to visit in Karnataka. It is old and ancient temple of Sri Ranganadha Swamy which is must visit in Karnataka.

Srirangapatna trip is an incredible experience. You can visit the Tippu's summer palace, remnants of Fort, dungeons, sriranganatha swami temple, jamia masjid, Batery and so on. The whole srirangapatna has a calm ambience which could make you time travel to those days. In both srirangapatna & mysore you can do horse safari (cost- between 200-500 ₹.)

Neatness to be maintained around temple premises. Please don't Litter 🚯 everywhere, Don't throw plastics and please use 'Toilets'.

Everything ok. but problem is of horse owners who don't maintain cleanliness in the temple ground premises

My home town and famous for Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple and Srirangapatna is like a island sourrounded by Kaveri river. Many tourists place are there near by to Srirangapatna.
