The place is beautiful. It's surrounded by rocks up further, where the flow of water is moderately fast. There was enough water during October to take a dip and relax. To reach the stony end, one has to cross the stream, and will get muddied. There are small shops available nearby, but they only accept cash for payment. The place was slightly crowded, but we were able to find a section to ourselves.

Nice place to visit with friends and family. Picnic, day out, bathing in river, lot of people. Please be aware of monkeys and don't eat around them. Nice to visit at this time because water level is low and you can enjoy.

Very nice point. Best scenic view of nature. Hills surroundings of the rivers Arkavathi and Kavery merging place called Sangam. Water is good. One can enjoy Nature with family and friends. Being in the forest area, not many hotels can be found apart from the Mayura Sangam hotel on the spot. From Bangalore this place is around 100km. One should use their own vehicle to reach the place.

Beautiful calm and serene place..not much crowd even on the weekend. Had nice fun time with kids in clear running water of Kaveri river. Took a coracle ride (Rs. 50 per person) and then took bus ride (Rs 60 per person) to Mekedatu. River flow gave a superb view in the gorge.

Even though its best to visit during rainy season but still in all seasom you can come and visit the river will be less deep in other seasons. If you want boat ride you should visit only durimg rainy season. If you visit during rainy season you cannot swim in the river as its very risky the high flow of water and presence of crocodiles. If youre plannimg to swim then you should go in season other than rainy season so that river is not that deep and therefore no need to worry about crocodiles.

Very nice place, peaceful and calm. It was on the weekend but not so crowded. Restaurant, toilet and free parking available. Can have nice nariyal Pani near the water body. Can enjoy the small round boat ride, which will cross the river and drop you to the other side. From there you can take the bus available for tourists and can go to another waterfall which will take around two hour to go and come back. Beware of monkeys 🐒🐒 The place is a good option to go picnic with family and friends. As it's quite Rocky near the river be careful and take care of kids. The flow of water is not too much but than also avoid goin into deep waters. Can definitely enjoy bathing and playing river with care.

Visited Sangama river confluence point in South Karnataka. It's a beautiful water landscape, perfect for a day of fun in the water with family and friends. The panoramic views are stunning, and there's a connection to Mekedatu. However, parking can be a challenge on weekends. There's a lot of potential for improvement in terms of cleanliness and overall development of this tourist attraction.

Have been to Sangama point couple of times. Reaching here early morning like 7ish is too good, feels like you are in heaven with the misty river and bird callings. Though the shops/restaurants wont open until 9...the earliest shop opens around 8ish. As you can see in the pics attached, the place is pretty scenic. Nice place to have a day outing/picnic. A great place for bird watchers as well during winters as this place attract migratory birds in the small island kind of structures in the river. Suggestions: 1. This place no phone connectivity so carry cash 2. Preferably wear shoes or sandals which you can put in water. Most time of the year, the water level is very shallow, so you can practically walk in the river to a decent distance or even cross the river to other side (mugguru forest area) which again is very scenic. 3. The place has lots of monkeys, so be careful with your stuff. 4. Please don't leave garbage..try to keep it clean.

It is the confluence point (sangam) of Kaveri River and Arkavathi River. Good place for a day outing or picnic with family or friends. One can enjoy coracle rides. Just before the sangam there is KSTDC's Hotel Mayura Sangama Mekedatu. People can stay over night if wish to they also have restaurant facing the river a good location to have snacks and food. Outside road also has lot of roadside stalls for food; selling fish and other snacks. Must visit.

Less crowded and scenic place for a weekend outing. Water is shallow in dry seasons making it ideal for bathing.

One of the best place to visit with family. Kids will enjoy playing in water. Due to raising heat water level is less and now it's right time to visit where we are allowed to play in water.

Beautiful place for a weekend trip. To go to Mekedatu falls one needs to cross the water on foot. Take a change of clothes. Mobile connectivity is very patchy.

Confluence point for 2 rivers. It's also a place from where we took ride to Makedatu. Ample of space for parking. Good food options are available around here. Overall, a very good one day trip from Bangalore.

It's a calm place for family to visit. The route from bangalore is also good except the work in kanakpura road, I maintained a steady pace of 80kmph in my scooter after kanakpura till the bends due to superb roads.

🫤 My single adivce, not worth travelling 100+ km from Bangalore just to see nothing .We can see the falls videos online also. I am writing this review after visiting the place in the month of August 2022. It's raining heavily at this time in Karnataka so the water level is high and thus the waterfall...
