Well-maintained heritage place. Entry ticketing is online and many rural tourists find it difficult and usually spend some time in the entrance seeking help from guards to get Entry tickets!! Rest is all good.

A historical place where every wall has a story. Recommended to hire any local guide inside. It takes 1-2 hrs to visit the entire place. The tickets can only be booked online, there are no ticket counters at the place. Cost per person is Rs.20

First thing to remember is that entry fee is Rs.20 per adult and must be booked online from ASI website prior to entry here. Book beforehand to avoid standing with others outside and scanning the QR code to get the link. Show the downloaded PDzf ticket to security to get inside. Photos with persons in background and videography aren't allowed in here. But pics of the place and inside can be taken. The place depicts a lot of historical artwork and is made from centuries old wood. Most of the time the exterior is covered to protect it from the sun. This is a large open lawn area with huge trees in front of the summer palace. If you want kids to run and play and have fun this is a good place to just sit down on the lawn and take a breath of fresh air. Best visited during winter mornings. Large parking is outside. Washrooms are clean.

Underrated art Marvel. Also, less crowded. The lawns are maintained so well. The Indian archeological department maintains the place so well without any litter. No words can describe how detailed and colorful the art work is.

The summer palace is a good tourist attraction for people interested in historical monuments & architecture. The only thing I couldn't understand is that photography is allowed but a person cannot be in the photograph. And no one had any explanation for it. On the weekday it was not very crowded so you can enjoy looking at the beautiful wall paintings and the historical medals, coins, weapons etc. Guide is also available and even explanatory text is available everywhere.

It’s a beautiful palace. There is a lot of open space which is now a lawn and a great garden. Tippu sultan used to live here in the summer times The palace architecture and the paintings inside the palace is breathtaking. The history of Tippu and Mughal war has been painted on the walls. Tippus dress and guns are exhibited here.

Small and beautiful palace. It’s a double storied palace with wooden pillars supporting the structure and adding to its beauty. There’s a well maintained garden on the front. Entry tickets have to be purchased online. There is a QR code at the entrance, scanning which leads you to the ASI website. Visitor details along with government ID details of one individual needs to filled in. Ticket price is Rs.20 per person.

History comes to life here. It's axing to see real places which one reads about in history books or listens to in stories. Great maintainance. Limited but great and informative exhibits. A must visit. The lawns outside are a treat.

It's one of the must see place in Mysore. We went on a Sunday. It wasn't that much crowded. A spacious free parking space available. Well maintained surroundings and garden. Booking tickets is a real headache. There is a QR code in front of the gate. You need to scan the QR code through Paytm, it will redirect to another website where you need to book tickets. 20rs for ticket. No need to take tickets for kids who are under age 10.

It's a good place for history lovers. The entire palace has paintings all over the walls and pictures from the past about how the palace and the Srirangapatna town used to look in past. Also, the was Tippu Sultan's army had fought against the Britishers. If you are looking for something spectacular, then you won't find anything much, but to know a few things about past, do visit once. The surroundings of the palace is a well maintained garden. Lots of huge old trees and a wide area of greenery. There's ample parking too.

This place has a very beautiful architecture. It is a real gem. The walls of the building are withered due to time. But some parts of the walls have the old paintings still visible in it. It has also the informations about the palace. The thing I didn't liked about it is that the tourists are destroying the palace by carving their names in the walls. Other than that the palace is really beautiful and it has a small lawn in it.

The lawns of the palace are lush green and well maintained, however the interiors badly seek attention and renovation or else it wouldn't be late when the walls start collapsing. The interiors require archeological intervention to keep it intact.

Located in the city of Srirangapattna, one has to take detour from Bangalore-Mysore highway. Maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India, the summer palace of Tipu Sultan has been converted to a museum. There is an entry fee of ₹20 which can be purchased using the QR code places outside the entrance. The place is sprawling with a big garden and looks serene. The palace is made out of wood and has various painting adoring the walls. The interior of the palace houses multiple relics and paintings associated with Tipu Sultan and his rule. You've guides available at the entrance. There is a washroom located near the entrance and was maintained well. Overall the place is also maintained well. A good place to visit and would take you approx 1.5 hrs to complete the visit.

This is actually a very small place. Condition of the palace is not very good. Visitors need to buy tickets from ASI portal using online payment. There is no physical ticket available for this place. Wide open space with grass garden only. At many places original color and paintings are either deemed or non-visible. Some of the original furniture, swards and guns are available for display. Very small museum.

This is a beautiful palace and can easily spend an hour and a half to two hours. The walls are covered in beautiful, intricate motifs, and along with paintings of the Sultan, there are also clothing and weapons on display. It was a particularly hot day, so we couldn't spend time in the expansive grounds. By the way, you have to purchase tickets online only.

First 2 won by Hyder and tipu and 3rd and 4th by British 8. 3rd he was defeated because both maratha and Nizam joined with British. He even had to give his two sons to British

A nice place to stop by on a drive to Mysore. The palace is well maintained, and there are a lot of Artefacts kept within to view. The large gardens on the outside with a few shaded trees make a beautiful backdrop for the palace. Though the outer structure of the palace is pretty much in shambles and is supported by scaffolding (which kind of ruins the pretty picture from the outside) The inside walls with the floor to ceiling paintings have lasted well and are well maintained. The artefacts are well maintained as well, and the palace serves as a museum as well. My only drawback would be that there are no guides here to help us truly understand the significance of the palace.

Its a historical monument and it was the summer palace of tipu sultan, once the ruler of southern state. The artwork in the palace is exquisite and takes you through the life of the warriors of Karnataka at that time. Outside there is a huge garden with lot of trees and you can take a quick nap below one such tree if you had a heavy lunch!!! It is totally worth it...

Daria Daulat Bagh is Tippu Sultan's summer palace in Srirangapatna, an island of Cauvery about 14kms from Mysore. It is a palace amidst a beautiful Mughal garden. The 18th century Mughal architecture and artwork is just delightful. Furnitures, coins, Tippu's sons' sketches, portraits, dresses, weapons and other antiques add up to the beauty. One can spread a blanket and relax on the lawn, enjoy the beautiful and colourful garden or simply take a stroll. Kids can play around. A great place for selfie lovers and photographers as well. This is a perfect picnic spot for familes and a short and sweet getaway with friends. There are public transport facilities, restaurants nearby and the directions to get here on Google maps is apt. Paid parking facility is available.

.Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace in Srirangapatna is a private retreat with closed rooms and narrow verandahs. This palace in Srirangapatna has some of the most amazing murals of the era. The Daria Daulat Bagh Palace contains Tipu Sultan’s Museum on its ground floor. The museum is the perfect example of Indo-Islamic architecture and it is reminiscent of the Summer Palace in Bangalore

One of Tipu's Summer palace named dariya daulat. Must have been looking awesome in the past glory days. The colour of the interior paintings have faded now but still looks marvelous. Entrance fees is 20 rs and you need to take the tickets online due to covid. QR code is displayed at the entrance to the website where you can purchase the tickets from. Not many tourists around due to covid so you will kind of get the place for yourself for clicking pics

One of the must visit places when you are in Mysore. History comes to life here..... Tipu's summer palace or Dariya Daulat what they used to call was a pleasant place to be in...... It shows the legacy and the time Tipu spent with his family. The ASI have done a good job in maintaining the palace to the best of their abilities..... All amenities are fixed. They have ensured to take extra care to clean and maintain this place with historical significance. Not to forget the existing Covid situation. They have made it papersless issuance of tickets. Tickets have been digitalized and one has to scan a QR code and get the payment link, pay nominal amount for entry and get a good view.... Good parking space and get to spend quality time with family at garden..... Overall worth spending time in here !!!!

The first thing is you need to scan QR code and pay entry fees online to get in. Lot of senior citizens and others were struggling to get the ticket because of that. Lot of parking space available. Coming to Palace itself, its a very old built structure aroud 1780 but well maintained and converted to museum. The museum has lot of artifacts that tells the story of srirangapatana and how tipu army fought with them. The Palace is surrounded by huge gardens from all sides. Gardens are well maintained.

Design and detailing of this building is truly impressive. It is converted into A museum now. In this museum the furnitures, clothes, coins, swords and guns of Tipu Sultan are on display. Photography inside the museum was strictly prohibited. If you are visiting Mysore and have interest in history then you should definately visit this place.

Preety old and well maintained museum the rush is heavy and to be frank the staff (the guide) they are explaining to people who pay which is fine but when normal people go near them they are pushing them away and being rude towards normal people. Their behaviour is also worst only guides and we can take pictures of drawing and art but not family pictures (they said) but dont they know about photoshop etc. While returning we can taking pictures with tall trees which are present of both sides of entry and exit route. There is also horse riding available near parking for kids its entertaining. The museum is not must watch but if you come till there try to visit so you wont regret later. Srirangapatnam contains 5/6 places which can be seen in 2/3 hours while going to mysore it is very peaceful and each place to veru beautiful and ancient.

It's ideal for history lovers. The entire palace and it's surroundings are very mesmerizing to the eyes. For tickets they have a QR code to scan , but it takes time due to the slow internet services there. The tickets cost you Rs 20 per head. Please carry an umbrella since the rains are unpredictable. The museum inside takes you through the life of the Sultan and the downfall of the empire. For more travel details follow me on instagram

Wow it was worth seeing such a huge and beautiful palace. We went on a week day, so there was no queue. Ticket is only provided till 5:30 pm and you have to exit the palace by 6PM. At that time, the security guards are in full rush and would keep whistling and disturb your experience, so better be on time. Ample parking was available.
