Nimishambha temple 🛕 is near to Srirangapatna. This temple 🛕is situated on the banks on the the river🚣‍♀🚣 Kaveri. This temple is said to be made in the 1️⃣7️⃣th century. The temple 🛕has been maintained 🧹✅very well. This temple 🛕is a very beautiful 🥰& an amazing 🤩 place. Nimishambha devi is said to be the reincarnation of Devi Parvathi, the consort of Lord Shiva. There is a belief that what ever u wish in this temple will be granted 🙌 in a minute 🕒 that's why its name is Nimishambha ( Meaning in Kannada :- Nimisha - 1️⃣ minute 🕒 means the Devi who grants wishes in a minute 🕒). This temple 🛕 is a attractive 🤓 place. Its is a very famous 😎 temple 🛕 too in Srirangapatna. The Devi's idol is also very pleasent & is well maintained . The priest there performs rituals 🙏 as well. You can get archana ticket 🎟️🎫too before you enter the temple. This temple 🛕 was very crowded 👥👥✅when I visited it. But its not that crowded 👥👥❌on weekdays. For Special Darshan 🙏 it's costs only Rs.20. Taking photos 📸 ❌ inside the temple is prohibited. There are other God's idols too like :- , Lord Shiva🔱, Surya Narayan 🙌, Devi Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh 🕉️ Hanuman Ji 🙏. Here there is peepal🌳 tree too. The one who has got the darshan 🙏of the Devi always feels blessed and feels to get the darshan 🙏 again. Its always crowded 👥👥✅ near the river. Its best to visit the temple around 6:00 pm when the weather is pleasent & pleasing. Its a good place to go along with Family👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 where we can spend time with them. There is also a very beautiful 🥰view from the banks of the river 🚣🚣‍♀ Kaveri. There are small vendors who have set up there shops 🏪selling things like vegetables 🍆🥒🥥,flowers🌹🪷🌸, etc. Overall its a very good place to visit.

Perfect place to visit with family and the temple is ancient. Also it is believed that whatever your wishes are will come true. The temple is beautiful. They give lemon from where they have kept for goddess. We should give 5₹ or 10₹. Later there is our kaveri river bank and beautiful view, so that you can spend much time there. One of the best tourism spot. There is also some Shops for shopping. Overall a very good place to visit.

Blissful place. A 17th century old temple. Thankful to the people who have been serving here and maintaining the temple. The temple is on the bank of Kaveri river. Good for family outing. Family come here, pray here, kids can take bath on the river bank. Small vendors are available at temple where you can eat some snacks.

Goddess Nimishamba is considered as the incarnation of Goddess Parvathi, the consort of Lord Shiva. This place Ganjam is considered as a holy place. Muktharaja of Somavamsha Aryakshatriya performed penance at Nimishamba Temple. Shrichakra is carved on a stone in front of Sri Nimishamba and pooja is performed. There is a belief that Goddess Nimishamba is going to remove all the problems and troubles of her devotees within a minute. That is why she is called Nimishamba. Nimisha means a minute and Amba is the name of Parvathi. Somavamsha Aryakshatriya Mutharasa king Muktharaja was blessed with the boon that Sri Nimishamba will come to his aid in his fight against the demons in a minute. That is why there is a deity Lord Shiva by the name of Moukthikeshwara. This temple was installed at the time of Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar about 300 to 400 years ago. The temple of Nimishamba lies at a distance of two kilometers from Srirangapatna bus stand in the eastern direction beyond Tippu's summer palace on the road leading to Sangam. The temple is at a higher elevation on the bank of the Cauvery and faces east. The river flows by at a lower level, and steps have been neatly cut on stone slabs to reach it. It is a small shrine with a seven-tiered Rajagopuram. Goddess Nimishamba's sannidhi is to the right as one enters the shrine. It is a fine piece of an icon. She is beautifully bedecked with jewelry and garlands of red roses. In front of the Goddess is placed the Sri Chakra to which puja is done with kumkum by the priest. The devotees stand in rapt attention till deeparadhana is offered to the deity. Adjoining the sannidhi of the Goddess is that of Siva, whose appellation is Aksheeswara. The icon is a small sized linga. The Nandi is proportionately small sized and is diagonally facing Siva. Only after offering `deeparadhana' to Siva, it is offered to the Goddess. Adjoining this sannidhi is that of Lakshminarayana. All the three sannidhis are in a row. There are no suka nasi and Navaranga. There is only a mukha mantapa. There is a big brass bell hanging from the ceiling, which is rung by the priest himself after placing the `bali bhojanam' on the bali peetam for the crows to eat. Once the bell is rung, the crows come down to the bali peetam in an orderly way to partake it! It is indeed unique to this temple. There is a prakaram(closed precincts of a temple) for circumambulation. The Nimishamba temple has shot to fame recently for its instant granting of boons to those who pray here. It would be of interest to note that marriage proposals which have been dragging on for years, get clicked immediately after visiting this shrine. It is probable that the temple might have been built during the reign of Raja Wadiyar I (1610-38 A.D.) who ascended the Mysore throne at Srirangapatna. Regular puja has been done for the last 50 years. The temple falls under the HR&CE of Karnataka State. One of the temples is also located at OTC Road Cottonpet (Near Majestic), Bangalore. Another temple is located near Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore.

I always get a good vibe whenever I visit to this temple. Amma or Maa Nimishambha is the main deity in this temple. Also you can take bath in the river stream the Cauvery amma. There are many shops for getting Pooja items and also they sell fresh vegetables and fruits 🍇 at a reasonable price don’t miss to savour them. You have ample parking 🅿️ space available just opposite to the temple.

This temple is located at Srirangapatna. Google maps is accurate for the location. There are lots of small shops selling eatable and toys around temple. The river Cauvery is pure and not polluted. The water force is more and care is to be taken as not to venture out to the river for a swim.

The goddess Nimishamba Devi in Srirangapatna is said to bless wishes of all her deities within minutes. Nimisha (ನಿಮಿಷ) in kannada means, minute. The prays and all the wishes are fulfilled within minutes, is the significance of the temple. Located in the banks of kaveri, the temple will have visitors all the time.

A very popular temple that’s a must visit en route Mysore. The Goddess, Nimishamba is believed to grant wishes almost instantly, hence the name. The temple is right on the banks of the river Cauvery. Temple is well maintained and also houses, Lord Shiva, Sri Lakshmi-Narayana, Lord Surya, Lord Ganesha, Sri Chandikeswara and Lord Hanuman. There’s open parking space on the other side of the road and one can find horses here too if you fancy a ride. Must spend time by the river and soak in the surroundings.

We visited sri ranganath swamy temple in srirangapatana, being most visited site enabled to visit of which we were blessed with nimishamba goddess. Sri NimishambhaTemple probably was built during the 1610-38AD during the reign of MummadiKrishnarajaWodiyar. It’s believed that Nimishambha will clear all problems and issues of devotees within minutes. That’s the reason it is called Nimishambha, because ‘Nimisha’ means minute.

Very nice temple on the banks of river Kaveri. The temple main diety is Nimishambha, you also have Shiva and Lakshmi Narayana idols in the main sanctrum. Lord Ganesha and Hunuman also have small worship places. You have both general free entry and also a ₹20 special darshan entry. Normally you don't need special darshan ticket but useful on busy days. They provide Prasad like curd rice or puliyohare if you visit after 12 pm. They have ample parking space and toilet facilities around. One can take bath in river and take darshan or even have fun time at the river Kaveri. Lots of shops for short eats, should have goli soda and churmuri in these shops Overall a must visit if you are in Srirangapatna or Mysore area

The temple will give you good vibes with nearby river flowing. There is be queue which took 20 min to enter. There were lot of eateries around. There is no place to leave your footwear. Either you have to leave randomly outside the gate or leave at vendors who sells flowers

  • 5/5 J P. 1 year ago on Google
Road temple is good. Entrance to the temple is via the queue system - 2 queues, one is the normal queue and the other one is special queue which can take you directly to the sannidhanam. When you enter the queue line, in short distance you will see a counter where you can get Archanai tickets and special darshanam tickets. Once you enter the temple premises, first darshanam is of Presiding deity - Goddess Sri Nimishamba Devi and other Gods as we move around the one way path which exits at Navagraha/Rahu-Ketu Sandnidhi. There is a laddoo counter just before inner sanctum exit. There are multiple hundials (donation boxes) placed in one section of temple. This is one of the temples built along side of river Kaveri at a spot from where after darshan, one can sit by the river banks and enjoy cool breeze or take a quick dip in the river water. Temple facilities have been upgraded over the years. There are lot of street side vendors close to temple who sell food, fruits, flowers, toys, juice, gulkand (sweet rose petals which is good for health) and even horse rides for kids. There is space close to the temple for parking four wheeler vehicles - no fee charged as of this post. You will also see lots of honey sellers on the way to the temple. Overall a very nice and peaceful experience.
