Rooms with amazing view overlooking the gardens. Service provided by the staff is good. Do not stay here if you are planning to visit Mysore, you will have to end up paying 50 - 100 Rupees as toll fee every time you re-enter Brindavan Gardens. Got food poisoned after having their breakfast spread on the last day. Bathrooms in rooms need to be maintained, there were lizards and other insects. There are only stairs, no elevators, ensure you get the ground floor rooms if you plan to bring elderly people to the hotel.

Definitely not a 4 star…. It’s a heritage property, and government leased. So it comes with its share of drawbacks. There is no lift, simple interiors, bathrooms are inconvenient. The housekeeping is not on par with a 4 or a 5 star hotel. The place was understaffed during our stay and we could see the service delay in every area. The bar was in limited supply. Food was very average. The swimming pool was unguarded and not maintained. The front desk in the spa was unwelcoming and not knowledgeable. The good part is the hotel is located strategically with beautiful and uninterrupted views of Brindavan gardens from rooms in the queen and king category and also from the bar. Best place to stay if you like to spend time within nature while not being bothered about the drawbacks. As long as you don’t expect a 4 or a 5 star hotel ambience and service, your will be comfortable.

Very disappointing experience. There's absolutely zero hospitality here. Our room had dirty sheets on arrival which we asked to change. Towels were stained and dirty. The bathroom is terribly outdated and the flush doesn't work properly. If you have to take a shower you need to stand in the tub(sitting isn't an option and you will know if you see the aforementioned bath tub). Very limited food menu in one single restaurant. Service is slow and bad. The manager who handles the restaurant has terrible attitude. Room service if you happen to order will be slow and even then the food will be cold. Most of the staff behaved like disgruntled government employees barring few who actually had a smile on their face. Overall I am steering clear off any royal orchid property now. It's really sad because the property really is top notch and it would be fantastic with the right upkeep and welcoming staff.

This was a pleasant surprise! We had booked a king room and could get a spectacular view of Brindavan Gardens through their spacious balcony. You have through the day access to the gardens just a minute away which makes it worthwhile. Food was delicious, all the dishes (South, North and Continental) we ordered were tasty. Staff is courteous, just that the room service could be slow sometimes needing follow ups.. Overall the stay was memorable one with Brindavan Garden on the background..

A perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of the city. A quiet and calm hotel, this 100 years old palatial building gave us the experience of being in the times of Kings and Queens. The staff was very friendly, and the interaction with other guests was so pleasant. All the amenities are very well maintained. You can pick a different spot each day for a morning/evening walk, or just to sit back and relax. Just one thing for tourists to know. The hotel is inside the garden, hence a nominal one-time entrance fee per head to the garden has to be born by the visitor. It confused me at first, but it was totally worth it.

We had booked the property a month back by contacting the hotel directly and Anto the hotel manager had helped us to confirm the booking. The hotel is located in a prime location inside the famous Brindavan Garden and it has a beautiful view to the garden. We checked in to the hotel on a Sunday ,the welcoming was decent and one of our room was even upgraded to king size. The rooms were tidy and it had a wonderful view to the garden. The disappointing part was the washroom which is poorly maintained from a rating perspective its close to 2 or 1 star. The water was leaking from the master tap and the water flow was inconsistent. The shower head was old and the warm water flow was really bad. My parents had to take bath in cold water as there was no hot water flow in the queen room provided. The even more worse part was the hospitality provided ,we complained multiple times to the head manager Anto as well as the reception/ shift managers and nothing was done nor was the issue even acknowledged. It was more of a live with it attitude that was shown. The lunch a la carte we ordered was pretty good on the Sunday we checked in , though the quality of food served on Monday was below par and stale. We complained to the waiter about couple of items we ordered but nothing was done nor acknowledged nor the chef came out to check it so it looked like a case of ignorance. All in all the stay was decent with the location and view to the garden but other than the experience/ hospitality was poor. There was zero feedback taken or paper or verbally which shows how much the hotel management really cares about improvement. So if you are someone who can’t compromise on the quality of the food served and the state of the washroom with the price they charge then better to look for another property when visiting Mysore.

Location and ambience is good. The dam and garden intensity the beauty. Staff serves you well but is very slow in service. Hope if service would be fast it would be much better. Food is diecy, some items were really good and few made me think how can someone make this bad.

Overall it's a good place to stay. Anyone will get the scenic beauty of the Brindavan garden. One suggestion is not to switch off all the lights in the corridor during night. Also there is no lift available, so before taking any room on the first or second floor consider the decision if you have older people or people with knee problems.

The location of the hotel is just perfect if you want to enjoy the Brindavan Gardens. The flip side of course, being that everything else in Mysore is quite a drive. Coming to the property in particular, this does not seem to be developed for Royal Orchid - rooms are ridiculously small, bed size is a joke. Hygiene and service levels are just about tolerable. From parking facilities to options on the menu, everything seems to have been put together by someone who was a day late and dollar short. I would recommend this as a one-night one-time experience. The view from the balcony is beautiful, without a doubt.

Inside Brindavan Garden. Nice balcony view. Good breakfast. But a rather old building with no elevator, cramped rooms, very basic services and no entertainment options for kids. Prices drop late; so booking in advance feels like a penalty.

Great hospitality by Royal orchid to our day outing corporate trip. This hotel has a look of Royal places of Mysore which makes it unique there. It's also important to have a stay here due to its location inside the very famous brindavana garden of Mysore. One can enjoy a nice stay with a beautiful evening at this garden. Lunch was average not so great The breakfast was better with many varieties. Can't comment on rooms since I had a day outing experience with teams.

We just used the elephant bar. The view is amazing from there. You can see the part if Brindavan garden and enjoy your food or drink. Beautiful ambiance. Food is also nice. Service is quick. You feel like a palace over there. Parking space is available near the hotel. Night view is really worth.

Rooms were good. Location is excellent. Heritage hotel. Need little maintenance here and there. Service is Super. If you are coming here on weekend days, try to get in before evening. Else you will be stuck on the road for hours due to outgoing traffic from Brindavan Gardens. If you come late in the night, the gates will be closed. Front desk staff will have to come there to let you in. So, before evening is hassle free.

View- The view from the room was breath taking. Room- The room was spacious. The cupboard had enough vertical space to hang my long dress. Our son had fun at bath time in the bath tub; playing chess game in the back yard, the robot game of PS4, air hockey, Foosball, riding cycle in the morning. We can spend a whole day within the hotel premises. Food- we had booked the dinner+ breakfast meal plan. The options present in the menu were all continental/ north Indian. I would have preferred including some sort of south Indian options for dinner as well. South India has so many other good options like tamarind/tomato rice, rassam etc, Breakfast had south Indian options like idli, wada, dosa.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Orchids Brindavan Garden, and it was truly a delightful experience. The property is incredibly beautiful, and the level of service provided was exceptional. The food was also outstanding. I can't say enough good things about my stay here – it was simply fantastic. Thank you, Royal Orchids Brindavan Garden, for making my stay so memorable!

Hi, The property is in great place, it is very old property not maintained well. Our stay was not pleasant & it is very expensive too for the kind of hospitality they offer. The food cost is also very high in restaurant with very limited options. The rooms was not ready when we checked in. We got the stinking smell in the corridor of the room, there are frequent power outrage, the bathrooms are not great and not at all to the level of star hotels. The swimming pool is not clean. It is priced very high for the amenities they provide. The gallery view is too cool.

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the fantastic experience my family and I had during our recent stay at your hotel. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were impressed by the warmth and professionalism of your staff. The room was not only immaculately clean but also tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the room amenities, such as the plush bedding and thoughtfully arranged toiletries, did not go unnoticed and greatly contributed to our overall comfort. Moreover, the exemplary service provided by your staff truly set our stay apart. Each team member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was the front desk staff assisting with a special request or the housekeeping team maintaining the room to perfection, every interaction was met with a genuine smile and a willingness to assist. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the dining experience at your restaurant. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes, and each meal we enjoyed was a culinary masterpiece. The chef's commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every bite. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and making our dining experience truly enjoyable.More Date of stay: November 2023

Excellent location because it's near to a dam and garden. The garden is tooooo huge. The palace, which is now converted into a hotel gives you the feel which erstwhile Kings experienced, with modern amenities like AC, hot shower, room service and a splendid view with a very walkable garden, Brindavan. Go enjoy.

This is located inside the Brindavan Gardens so you would get a direct view . The rooms are comfortable and clean, the food is well priced. Breakfast spread is good with a live counter.

One of the finest hotels, we stayed at! The staff was very courteous and helpful. The view from the King Suite was spectacular at night! When we stayed, it happened to be their MD's birthday and they invited us for the birthday celebration. The whole ambience was superb! The Breakfasts and Dinners were utterly delicious. Had a great time during the stay. Look forward to staying again in future!

Wonderful location with beautiful view of the garden. Food was good enough, meaning I wouldn't say it was the best but there were no complaints either. The most important and outshining was their service, very humble staff and so much accommodating, I was really impressed. I had been to their place with my parents and kids who were 7 years and 1 year old. They didn't charged for my elder son saying 'Sir, its ok, how much he might have ate, hardly counts, we will waive off his charge'. And then while going back, it was almost 10:00 pm and I had parked my car in the parking area of the Garden and not in the parking area of the hotel which was more than a kilometre away. They saw that there was so dark outside and senior citizens amongst us, and immediately arranged a cab which took us from the hotel to the parking lot. I have never seen such a service. I am very much thankful to the team and management. Best of luck.

I went with my family for a 2 night stay. I must say the location of this hotel is really great. However the stay wasn't very pleasant and I wouldn't recommend it for the high price they charge. We booked a King room with garden view. Without even informing us, the front desk staff downgraded our room since King size room wasn't available. However upon complaining, the hotel manager agreed to give us 2 complimentary dinner. Pros ----------- 1. Excellent location 2. Very good dinner (it was complimentary for us so I am not sure of the price they charge) 3. Restaurant staffs, workers, and managers were very polite and kind (Except the guys at reception) 4. Kids enjoyed the cycle ride Cons ----------- 1. Untrained front desk staff (it was really frustrating the way they treated and tried to cheat us by downgrading the room). 2. Pathetic breakfast 3. Very old hotel, but for the location they charge high (Toilet flush, phone, internet nothing was working) 4. You may get stuck in traffic during weekends due to the rush at Brindavan garden. 5. Other than cycle ride and swimming pool no other entertainment for kids

We visited the hotel with my family and it was a disappointment. it was the first time that I had to switch on the geyser and wait for 20 mins in a 5 star hotel after paying 18000 for one night! There were hardly 10 items for the breakfast spread. When I ordered room service for dinner, they made us wait for so long to deliver the food and water. I expected the amenities and services for the amount paid, but definitely not worth it. The room was really good though and so was the view of the Brindavan garden from the room. But we really regret choosing this hotel for the stay!

Lovely property overlooking the beautiful Brindavan gardens. The rooms are good although bathrooms can go for a facelift. They are old fashioned. But the property overall is beautiful. You can stroll around the gardens anytime until I closes at 8 pm for the public. Morning walks are amazing. I went for a king's room and it was good. Staff is very hospitable and cordial. Breakfast is complimentary and lunch/dinner is chargeable. Food is a little expensive but very tasty. To see the gardens from the balcony is a treat to the eyes. Money's worth. Will definitely recommend it👍

Pathetic service. We reached hotel just 2 hours before scheduled check in time and they charged us Rs. 1500 extra that too in cash. Room was average. They serve same breakfast everyday, nobody to look after the seating arrangements. Most of the times no one picks up call at reception. If they pick up nobody is responsible enough to handle the request. We asked to clean the room 4 times still no one turned up. Overall so pathetic experience. Will never book this again nor will recommend anyone.

Best place to watch Brindavan garden. Night stay is really good as you can see garden lightings. Morning 6-10 you have unlimited access to garden and no public present at that time. Parking space is available and you can park within gate. Security available. Food is good and yummy. Breakfast is tasty. Room service is good

Last week we stayed here. We had very beautiful experience. Staffs are very cooperative. Food was also good. Morning Yoga is included. Rooms are beautiful and all garden facing. Balconies are really lovely we can sit there for hours seeing the beauty of brindavan garden. Fully open and ventilated place... Enough place to sit peacefully and enjoy the beauty of nature. Thank you Royal orchid for adding beautiful memory to our trip.

A really pleasant stay here with the best view and best vibes. Reasonable rates. Dining service was a little poor. We received different order than what we ordered and there were ants roaming around the refreshments. Really costly ala carte. Bicycles were less in number. Other staff were pleasant. We played different games like chess, pool, etc. Breakfast buffet was also decent. The whole hotel had a grand vibe and it was a memorable stay.

Except for the view and the infrastructure, nothing else is good in the hotel. One of my friends worked there and after listening to what he told about it, I was shocked. 1.They provide welcome drink that is 3-4 days old. 2. They provide very old meat. 3. Chefs don't take bath. 4.Staff take bath in the guestrooms once the guest leaves. 5. There's no proper management in the hotel. 6. The junior staff and trainees are provided with horrible food and stay facilities that is not at all hygienic.

  • 5/5 Ekansh B. 1 year ago on Google
Incredible stay! Polite staff, well maintained property. The view from rooms and property location is prime. I am not sure why it has certain negative reviews that made me double think. My experience was right.

  • 1/5 Subhayu D. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel doesn't have an elevator. It's a 3 storeyed building but their website never anywhere states that they do NOT have an elevator. Although one has to pay a premium for staying. I paid 17,110 for 2 nights for a family of 3. Too high a price to pay for whatever view you get for. Next you will be charged Rs50 for entering the hotel premises as fees for visiting garden. The food is of average quality but the charges are definitely way above any good restaurant in Mysore. In summary, waste your money if you wish to stay in this hotel

  • 4/5 srimathi r. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely worth the hype. An amazing stay. The view that on looks the Brindavan garden is pretty breathtaking. The rooms are mighty spacious with antique furniture & fittings. The over all building structure & ambience transports you back to a pre-independence era. Every floor landing has large porches that serve as the garden viewing gallery. A great destination to unwind, relax and watch the best sights & shows of the garden. Food is extremely palatable, staff are super friendly and courteous. This place includes a pool and billiards room as well. Beware of monkeys randomly dropping into the balcony for a visit. Arranging a Concierge is a tedious, which even the hotel staff cannot support.
