One of the underrated place near by Mysore. Beautiful temple and surrounding. Awesome place to spend a day when weather is cloudy. There is off-road to go near by back water of KRS dam which perfect for a picnic and outing.

Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple, located near the backwaters of the Kaveri River, is a divine sanctuary of tranquility and spirituality. With its captivating architecture and serene surroundings, the temple provides a sacred space for prayer and reflection. The gentle flow of the nearby backwaters adds to the serene ambiance, creating a peaceful environment that fosters inner peace and devotion. Visiting the Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple offers a unique opportunity to experience the divine energy and immerse oneself in the spiritual essence of the place.

The whole experience of going here was just amazing. It is pretty far from the Mysore city so is best to take an auto/ cab for both going there and coming back. The road on the way is surrounded my trees, reminds you of those kerala roads, really pretty to see. The temple is 45 -50 mins from the city. We were lucky to have no crowd that day while visiting as we went early, otherwise this place is fully packed. The architecture here is just so amazing. Apparently the original temple built in earlier centuries was completely submerged in water, a man found the stones in the water, extracted them and tried to build this temple back with almost 80% of the original stones. Really a must visit to see the ancient hosahalya architecture. The temple is spot clean. You cannot take videos/ photos inside. You can take on the outside of the temple. Must visit in Mysore.

Its a quite place in summer season. The road towards temple from main road is soo terrible and horrible. In summer season water will be move away from temple and nice green land becomes visible. Can drive 4 wheelers close to water. Early morning scenes are really awesome and the fresh air is very nice. In monsoon season water will reach till temple walls and can't go beyond that.

So comforting and relaxing in this newly renovated temple. Thanks to all those involved in the efforts as well as Hari Khoday for restoring by elevating the temple complex to certain level and retaining the stonewall as much as possible. Venugopal swamy is so beautiful, about 2 feet height idol, with beautiful alankaras. The surrounding of the temple complex with gardening is so good and good for walking.

Amazing experience, I am so happy that we visited this temple. Very clean, the Temple Maintenance staff make sure that no one takes any photos or videos once they enter the premises. Very very clean, the cool breeze just adds in the calming effect. You can sit the whole day inside the premises and still would like to spend more time.

Beautiful and peaceful place situated on the banks of Cauvery river. The best time to visit is sunset and sunrise which give us very good feel and inner peace there’s no entry fee to this temple and this temple has been found 20 years back and re polished just 5 years back. One can see the beautiful view of Cauvery river and the temple which is must visit. There’s boating facility too with small boats which we haven’t tried.

Beautiful temple near KRS brindavan. The best time to visit is in the evening to view sunset. Has serene and peaceful atmosphere. You need to pay a 50 rs toll fee to enter the road. Last one km road to the temple is in bad condition. There is ample parking space near the temple. Photography inside the temple is prohibited. There is a boat riding facility too.

It was a very beautiful place, they have a water sport too. It's worth going there, but the only drawback is the road to this location is horrible.

This is situated next to Brindavan garden (same route) on the back side of the dam. It's a very good location surrounded by water 3 sides. Sufficient parking area. Temple architecture will attract you and its big temple as well. Around 1km road near the temple is not good (okay okay) to reach the temple . We loved this temple.

A magical temple, dedicated to lord krishna, that has been re-constructed and relocated from the reservoir. Kudos to the entire team who made this magical initiative a dream come true moment. Calm and serene temple complex which makes you feel light with the scenic surroundings. And not to miss its photogenic pavilions all around the temple’s exterior corridor. Don’t forget to hear the breeze in the video added.

An architectural Marvel. It's a masterpiece if you like to see ancient architecture. You can watch a perfect sunset in the backdrop of Kaveri River. It's very calm and serene. Still not over crowded by tourists. A perfect weekend gateway for people staying in Bangalore or nearby.

Such a beautiful and calm temple. Still untouched by tourists thankfully, because it is tucked away far from mainstream Mysuru. The place is surrounded by water and feels like some lost paradise on earth. The history of the temple is fascinating.

It was great to see newly builded Krishna temple, The architecture of this temple is incredible, you can see priest chanting Bhagwat Geeta every time and you can do meditation peacefully. I am glad to visit this place near Bangalore. Disclaimer- please don’t throw anything here once you come keep it clean and as it is

From the reservoir, a temple devoted to Venugopalaswamy (Avatar of Lord Krishna) has been relocated and re-erected by a dedicated team. This is a monument that showcases their magic. The temple is serene and calm, and it makes you feel light with its scenic surroundings. The temple’s exterior corridor is decorated with photogenic pavilions that are worth seeing. A must visit place for people who visit Mysuru.

Temple is very neat and clean. Statues of ashta laxmi, navagraha, saptarishis and other deities. Main Krishna idol is beautiful. Good place for clicking photos as well. Inside temple, photos are strictly prohibited. The road leading to temple is bad for a few metres, need to be careful with smaller vehicles. Probably not much crowded because we went on a weekday.

It was a better place when compared to other temple. when I visited it was not crowded and temple was full of pin drop silence. Time well spent in the temple, you can sit and meditate for a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being.

This place has always been a must visit for me whenever I’m in Mysore. It’s location so beautifully beside a huge water body that’s KRS backwater. The temple complex is neat and clean with amazing view. I’m adding photos of the view around.

It's surreal to find this place after a bumpy ride and in the middle of nowhere. The temple complex is clean and wasn't too noisy despite the steady footfall of weekend tourists. It's an exemplary structure of Hoysala architecture. One is reminded of Halebidu at the entrance itself. It's is commendable that they don't charge any entrance fee and haven't kept any offering box, yet are able to maintain the sanctity and cleanliness of the place by employing several staff. It is a restored temple and there are pictures of the original complex in the interior. They have close to 35 figurines of deities and sages inside the temple complex. Photography is not allowed there. Beside the temple is the backwaters which you can access from outside. We saw a coracle ride facility there. A few snacks and quick eats shops have cropped up right outside the temple complex, in case you forgot to pack food. We were a large group and so spent 1.5 -2 hours chatting and lounging there.

A very unique temple in karnataka I have never seen before because this place is very clean, beautiful, and surrounded 3 sides by lake kaveri, it's very near to Krishna Sagara Dam in mysuru. All of you should must visit this unique temple and experience this place. It's very cleanly maintained by the people there. If you visit this place please don't make it dirty. It will close at 6.30pm . So please visit before this time.

An amazing temple of period architecture, which is restored from its immersion from the Krishnaraja Sagara Dam on river Cauvery. The restoration work is so amazing and awesome that, it is in its finest shape at present. This temple sits on the banks of the river Cauvery in all its serenity and grandeur. The puja rituals are followed meticulously and it is maintained clean and tidy. The staff are courteous and helpful. It's a shining jewel of religion, culture and architecture.

Sri Venugopala Swamy temple Photos inside temple strictly not allowed. But however I got em. Location is crazy. Wow place. Like u will feel you are visiting some beach place water everywhere. Temple has few gods idols inside. Road to reach this place is worst. They collect toll too like 50RS to travel on broken roads. If toll is being collected at least roads would’ve been nice. But it was all bumpy n broken with all stones. Bike riders be careful. Car can just go peacefully. Overall nice and peaceful place to visit with family.

The temple is beautiful. But the backwater boating is horrible. Very dirty place, plastic and garbage everywhere. The boats are driven as if performing some stunt scene. Quite dangerous.
