As
things
go
Yoga
is
there
when
in
you
need
it
and
for
me,
it
brought
me
to
AyurYoga
to
deepen
my
practice.
I
had
the
idea
of
spending
some
time
in
India
exploring
Yoga
back
in
February
2022
and
set
my
intention
to
participate
in
the
Yoga
retreat
at
AyurYoga
Eco-Ashram.
From
our
early
interactions,
everything
was
clear
and
I
knew
that
this
was
not
a
make-a-profit
yoga
center
(nothing
wrong
with
making
a
living
but
not
what
I
wanted)
but
a
place
where
people
cared
about
the
impact
they
have
on
others'
lives
through
yoga
and
their
community
through
their
investment
in
their
people
and
places.
Through
visa
issues
and
delayed
arrivals
before
getting
there,
through
excursions
in
the
middle
of
the
retreat,
and
helping
to
continue
the
journey
to
other
parts
of
India,
I
felt
the
team
was
there
supporting
and
helping
me
have
the
best
experience
possible.
The
stay
itself
was
great
in
all
aspects.
The
food
was
delicious
and
I
discovered
new
things
that
I
can
now
use
to
experiment
back
home.
The
Yoga
classes
were
adapted
to
what
our
group
needed
and
also
individual
cues
were
provided
if
we
needed
them.
We
had
4
different
Yoga
teachers
(Ekanath,
Neem,
Pooja,
and
Vinod),
each
one
with
their
style
of
Hatha
yoga
which
was
great
exposure,
and
all
very
experienced
which
showed
in
how
they
approached
their
classes.
With
one
we
got
upside
down,
with
another
we
walked
like
a
crow
(hips
what!),
another
we
channeled
a
banana,
with
another
we
had
a
full
emotional
experience
on
the
mat.
All
were
caring
and
attentive.
This
place
has
a
vibe
and
the
people
that
are
attracted
have
a
vibe.
The
vibe
is
self-compassionate,
welcoming,
and
curious.
The
intensive
retreat
was
during
the
second
half
of
a
300
hrs
YTT
so
we
(in
the
retreat)
got
to
interact
with
a
larger
group
of
people.
The
people
your
meet
were
there
for
this
vibe
too,
so
you
can
imagine
we
found
a
nice
balance
of
interest.
We
meditated
more,
chanted
more,
watch
a
movie
(maybe
slept
through
it
lol),
had
deep
conversations,
had
silly
conversations,
about
all
met
each
other
as
we
were
at
that
point
in
time.
Love
to
have
yogi
contacts
throughout
the
world
now
:)
The
Vedic
philosophy
classes
on
the
Gita
with
the
Swami
were
a
treat.
He
is
a
funny
man
and
very
informed
on
the
current
trends
of
relationships
and
life
:)
There
is
always
a
nugget
that
might
stay
with
you
and
help
you
out
later.
Take
what
you
need,
leave
the
rest,
and
don't
sweat
it
too
much.
We
also
had
an
Ayurveda
course
with
Neem
to
get
a
sense
of
what
simple
practices
can
make
a
big
difference
in
our
routines
and
which
might
be
easy
to
share
with
other
yoga
students.
Well
as
you
can
see,
I
am
a
FAN.
I
hope
I
can
go
back
in
the
near
future.
Also,
I
liked
that
there
was
no
"guru"
and
we
all
could
explore
our
thing.
We
chanted
and
learned
from
teachers
and
each
other.
No
personality
cults
are
needed!
(Secret:
The
Guru
is
inside
you,
be
still,
quiet,
and
listen
;)
The
best
decision
I
made
this
year
was
to
do
this
retreat.
If
you
are
thinking
about
it.
Do
it.
