It's a good place to visit. Kids will surely enjoy. They have a large variety of fresh water fishes than marine. The underground seems to be a little stuffy. Good air-conditioning should solve the issue. The staffs are all frendly and share info when asked about. Rest rooms are maintained clean. There are good choices for eateries. No time restrictions. You can see around, take photos and spend some good time. You can complete the entire visit by 1.5 hours. The tickets I felt a little pricier. Adults: 199/- and children : 149/- It's next to the zoo. Have fun ! 🙂

Lokaranjan Aqua World Underwater Zoo is a great destination for families with kids. The variety of fishes on display is impressive and adds to the overall charm of the place. The interactive experience of feeding the fishes is a standout feature that both kids and adults can enjoy. However, the facility could benefit from significant improvement in maintenance. Enhancements in this area would contribute to a more enjoyable and visually appealing environment for visitors. Despite this, if you're in Mysore with children, Lokaranjan Aqua World Underwater Zoo is a nice spot to visit for its unique underwater experience and engaging activities.

This is a great place to visit if you are looking for a fun and exciting experience. It is located near Mysore ZOO and is a popular tourist destination. It was my first time visiting the underwater aquarium and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is not easy to set up and maintain such a large aquarium zoo. The aquarium has a wide selection of fresh water fish as well as marine fish. There is no time limit and you can complete the whole visit in 1.5 hour. The tickets cost 200 per person and it is a bit expensive. Walking on the pavement surrounded by a variety of fishes will be a great experience for all ages.

Waste of money.. Worst place I've ever seen. They're cheating people, In Mysore zoo the ticket price is 100rs, These idiots need 200rs in just a 15 minute show. My son is 4 standard kids, we have to buy adult tickets, These stupid staff don't know the meaning of a kid or adult. My kind request for all the tourists, Please don't visit such a stupid place and don't encourage these cheaters.

Mysore's First Underwater Tunnel Aquarium at Lokaranjan Aqua World near Mysore Zoo in Mysore. This was my first visit to Underwater Aquarium and I must say that I was more than impressed. It is gathering big public support; it is destined to become most popular tourist destination in Mysore. They have the best collection of exotic fishes and the highlight is the Underwater Tunnel you will see exotic fishes flying above your head and in the sides of the tunnel. The entry ticket rates are ₹199 for adults. It is worth the money as the set up and environment is very good entertaining and fun. AC was not functioning and it was suffocating. Private parking place is also present. Overall it was a good experience 👌🏻

Really amazing fish aquarium i have ever seen in India. Children's will definitely enjoy a lot in this aqua world. There are many varieties of fishes which are not common. Ambience is so pleasant which is worth of money specially the underground tunnel aquarium. Must visit place in Mysore if you have child. Ticket is 199 for single adult which is bit expensive but it is worth as they have maintained place very well.

This place is a massive let down, if you’re expecting to see some big fish, please don’t go here. You’ll probably see more or the same variety of fishes in a local shop. The experience and value for money is utterly low, you’ll feel dissatisfied for sure. Where as if your intention or purpose is to just take your kids and show them around, then it’s probably fine. There were few sections with 360 degree view with a good amount of fish.

Good place to take kids. Aquariums are built around rocky themes and little fountains inside. You can't expect a lot of variety. Easy to navigate inside. Ambience is good. But not worth the entrance fee. I will recommend one time visit to this place. Beware of staff who insist you to give 5 star rating as you exit. At times they even rate themselves 5 stars taking your cell phone right away. Sick.

This was our first visit to the 'underground aquarium' & must say, we were more than impressed! The place is well maintained & the collection of fishes is absolutely refreshing! From my 3.5 year old son to my 70 year old Dad, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Some points to note: Some of the tanks don't have the name plates of the fishes and the actual 'underground experience' is a final stretch walkway, not the full setup. Overall, worth a visit! Enjoy! :)

There are very few unique fishes. Most of the fish you'll find are from local aquarium stores. The set-up is good. Ambiance could be better. Good place to visit in Mysore. Paid parking is available but a limited number.

Aqua world is a must visit place in Mysore. Staffs are very helpful and spend time with us educating different species. They are very good with children and caring. Never expected such good setup there. Parking area is also good and spacious. And good part of Mysore is everything is situated near by location…they can do some advancements in lighting rest overall experience is good and I am sure people would like it. Please do not compare this with international standards… but for the money you are paying it’s definitely worth

Best place to visit if you love fish. Here, you can find a wide variety of fish types which you may haven't seen before. From small species to large fishes, you'll find different and colorful fish. Also, you can see star fish and tortoise. The experience through the underwater tube is really excellent. I suggest you visit this place. It will take around an hour to see everything inside. Entry, they are charging 200 per person which seems to be okay. Also, you can buy fish food at the ticket counter and you can feed the fish.

  • 2/5 Sandra S. 2 years ago on Google
The price is 199/head which is really expensive comparing to the experience, I must say. 150/head is appropriate. Very dedicated staffs. Polite and humble staffs. Under water aquarium experience is average. Parking space and staff is appreciated. There are NO rare fishes that can amaze you. Poor air conditioning. No A/C. The directioning is super easy as if even a toddler can enter and exit without missing any fish tanks. Overall, good experience. One visit is worthy.

This place is ok ok type 🙂.. It's mainly for kids.. kids are gonna enjoy it at this place. Ticket prices are at a bit higher price. We booked 3 tickets for around Rs560. There is an option to feed the fish for this extra charge. At this they have a combined ticket option for aqua + snow + maze for Rs 450 each person.

The underwater part of the aquarium is really fascinating. You can get your photos clicked by professionals inside. You can buy food items as well🍦🍭🍫🍬🍿🧃

The Lokaranjan Aquarium is a hidden jewel in the city's core. The instant you walk in, you are greeted with a tranquil and intriguing atmosphere. The aquarium is attractively designed, and it houses a large diversity of fish and marine life. The Lokaranjan Aquarium's staff is competent and friendly, always willing to answer inquiries and share interesting facts about the various species. They also take great care to keep the tank neat, as you can see as you go through the displays. Overall, I would strongly advise visiting the Lokaranjan Aquarium. Whether you're an underwater fanatic or just seeking for a fun and fascinating outing, this aquarium has something for everyone.

    1. Good place to visit in Mysore. It's around 500 m from zoo. So you can cover both at once. 2. There is lot of varieties of fishes available in closed, overhead and open acquarium. 3. Please visit if you would like to know about fish. You can see their behaviour very closely. 4. Ticket price is Rs. 149 for adults. 5. Free street bike parking is available. 6. Beware of steps. 7. Spend as much time as possible. Once you came to exit they'll not allow to go back again.

Good experience! Can be visited once. Good collection of fish. Food inside is costly. Kids will enjoy it. Check for parking behind the aqua park! Near the zoo. Can be planned together. Can be covered within an hour Photos allowed also professional photo edits available There are 3-4 tunnel shared aquarium. Good but can be better My suggestion would be, next time when you visit mysore plan

Nice Aquarium..... Worth the price..... Largest tunnel aquarium I have seen. It has sevaral tunnels all with variety of fishes..... Whole area looks larger than from outside..... Nice touch with small waterfall like designs..... Large fishes was good attraction recommend for family and kids...... Photos are printed and given in short time... Fridge magnets and globes with photos are very good.... There is combo with Snow City. If you buy Snow City ticket, aqua world ticket is free.... It's worth it...

Situated in the center of the city, next place to visit after Mysore palace as it's just 1-1.5 km from the palace. We were 11 people in total and ticket were fairly priced for adults i.e., 199 and overpriced 149 for children. We didn't had to wait for any line as it was normal weekday at 1 PM. The place give you an exotic experience, and touring through the lanes would give you the knowledge of variety of fishes that you might have not seen before. In my experience the aqua park could have been better in terms of the water quality of the aquarium and the glasses were bit dusty. Overall really good place for children as we had 5 of them and all were very ecstatic while roaming through the lanes of the aqua park.

This is my first visit recommended by my friend from my apartment to check it out. The place had parking facilities and the atmosphere was ok. They are charging more charges for that place since the value for money is little missing in my opinion. The place is not properly air conditioned which makes the experience thin. They have good view points and more marketing oriented org instead of good content om what they do. Was little disappointed after paying the amount as entry fee. I hope things can be improved on their side.

Great place to visit especially if you have kids..My toddler loved the place. The maintenance could have been better. For kids below 5 its free however if you have a tall toddler/kid better to keep a soft copy of birth certificate otherwise they will measure there high in the high chart and might ask you to take a ticket for them too..My 2.8 year was taller then the High chart they had placed to measure the high for kids below 5..If we dint had birth certificate they would have made us buy tickets for her too..

This place proved to be a pleasant surprise for my family. The huge Angler fish at the entrance to this place is something nobody can miss when you are on your way to the Mysore zoo. My children truly enjoyed the journey through this aquarium, filled with tunnels and brightly lit glass cases with colorful fish all at convenient low heights that can be reached by even little children. If you are expecting to see exotic sharks and rays, you will be disappointed. They mostly have a display of colorful Oscar fish and starfish. Probably the most exotic fish to see in here would be the Piranha fish. The under water glass tunnels are something I've only seen in Aquariums outside of India. So it was impressive to see them finally here too. There's scope for a lot of improvement but this place is definitely worth seeing when you have little kids with you. We went at around 11am on a Sunday and that way we probably escaped the crowds and the whole space was available for us to enjoy with our kids without fearing for ourselves (corona). If it gets crowded, the paths are a bit narrow and may lead to crowding at certain points.

Place is nice but the sad thing is the maintenance. Though the ticket fare is about ₹200 per person, the water is very dirty and the aquarium stinks when you walk through. I hope the management takes note and gets the water cleaned so that we can get a better look at the fishes after paying such a big amount for tickets!!!

It has good number of fishes to see but may be due to Christmas vacations it was huge crowded. The place is also not maintained properly and at some places ac was not working and with big crowd ventilation was a problem. Though some part was ventilated properly. If you have been to places like Singapore then you might not like this place as one in Singapore is properly maintained well ventilated and its beautiful there. Overall if you have not been to any under water world in any other place then you can plan to visit else you can skip it.

Very unique experience. I guess it's a private initiative, and the ticket prices are certainly on the higher side. But one should definitely go there. If you are with a kid then it's a must visit. The whole premise is air conditioned. And there are many exotic fishes. There are so many things I have only seen on discovery or National Geographic channel. I must say don't miss this opportunity. It's a must visit.

Good place for kids! For sure kids enjoy the huge aquarium with all native deep ocean fishes. The tunnel aquarium is the key attraction ! We visited during the weekend, and it was quite crowded. It's an ideal spot for kids who will thoroughly enjoy the experience, despite the relatively high ticket prices at Rs 199 for adults and Rs 149 for kids. The aquarium boasts a diverse range of fishes, turtles, and intriguing tunnels. A visit typically takes around 1 hour. Conveniently located near the zoo, you can combine visits to both attractions in a single day.

The place and atmosphere was good. Nice collection of fishes, still some exotic collections can be added. This place lacks proper maintenance. I felt pity for some fishes as the tank maintenance was poor, no proper aeration. Tanks were not maintained properly.

Don't get misguided with photos.... The reality is entirely different 1. Not cleanly maintained. Both glass and water is dirty and doesn't look good. 2. Cost is too high... 200 for adults and 150 for children is not at all worth 3. Under water tunnel is a gimmick... Walls are visible from tunnel and looks like water sump with fishes in it 4. Don't waste your time and money here... Better to go for some other tourist places in mysore.

Good place to click some exciting pictures.

It was good but not much to see . But a good place for kids to enjoy an hour at least if you want to know more about fishes and marine animals. The entry ticket costs ₹199 for adults and ₹149 for kids. If you buy Snow City tickets, entrance to Aqua World is free. The combo is priced at ₹350 on the weekdays and ₹450 on the weekends and public holidays. Infants and other kids below 3 years of age don't need to buy an entry ticket. But Entry Charges are applicable for kids above 100cm height. Separate charges for fish food (40rs) per small box. The aquarium is open on all days. On the weekdays, visit timings are from 9.30 AM to 8.30 PM. On the weekends, you can enjoy it until 9.30 PM.

Lokaranjan Aqua World Underwater Zoo is a one time visit spot. Its a good place to bring kids. There are quite a lot of collection of fishes but you wont find big ones. The fishes are exhibited in glass cases and also there is a small tunnel aquarium. They have also maintain the cleanliness and helps the fish to grow in clean environment. There are lot of spots for taking photos which includes a beautiful fountain are. Also the exterior side if the aquarium is beautiful too. There is no car parking slot and wheelchair accessible entrance I think the price of the ticket is a bit expensive. Other wise it is a good place to visit one time only. 🧾 Card payment not available 🅿️❌ Parking slot available ♿❌No wheelchair accessible entrance 🚻✅ No restrooms but there is a common spot for handwash

The facility has an impressive collection of marine life, from colorful tropical fish to much more. The exhibits are well-maintained and thoughtfully designed, providing a glimpse into the fascinating underwater world. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, offering informative insights during feeding session. The highlight for us was the mesmerizing tunnel, where you can walk through a glass enclosure surrounded by marine creatures. The ticket price for the experience is well worth it. One of the must visit place in Mysore. Few Marine and tropical fish can be seen, most of them are fresh water variety fish. Kids will love it, of course the tunnel path is superb. The main con is lack of ventilation and fresh air. People and mainly kids will feel suffocated, just air blower will not help. And also the price of the ticket needs to revisited as it mostly costlier. These 2 things requires improvement. Otherwise a good place to visit.

Not for every day visit, but definitely worth the money and time.go with children or friends will be worth the time. Don't visit on a holidays or weekend because it cannot accommodate to many people and will be suffocating because no proper air flow. But wit less crowd you will definitely have a good time.

The aqua world is very fascinating and has a wide variety of aquatic species. The most fascinating one is the miniature shark and is real fun to see it glide through the glass tunnel. There is also provision of feeding the fishes and is an absolute delight activity. The kids loved watching the fishes gather to catch the feed. The location is very near to the Mysuru Zoo and has ample parking space available.

Amazing one. Well maintained andclean. It's 200 for adults and 150 for children. You can spend around 1- 1.5 hours easily. It looks like you are in underworld water. They also give some fish food for 50/- you can feed the fishes. They take photos in the start and the result would be given at the end. But I found that pricey. There is also a mirror maze which you can buy a ticket here or on spot. I couldn't go there but have heard it's nice.

Visited during weekdays and it was free to watch without much crowd. You can see a photo corner named "create your memories". You can take pictures there and at the entrance you can receive the pictures in the form of keychains, laminated copy and also calendars with your photo. Lots of varieties of fishes and marine species are found. A good place to spend time with your family and friends.

However I'm not impressed by the way the tunnels are cleaned. The people who clean literally get into the tunnel and wash without taking the fishes out. They hurt some fishes in the process as well.

Too costly. Even claimed tickets for my 3 year old daughter. Tickets are based on height of the visitor and not on age. Upto 3 feet, no ticket. From 3 feet to 4 feet, children tickets are required. Above 4 feet, full tickets are required. However, the collection of fishes were good.

Good place. A lot of different types of fish are there.Ticket price is a bit high 199 for adults and 149 for children. And the place is not maintained well. The aquarium glasses are all dirty and water is also not that good. It's very hot inside there are no Ac or fans.

If you're looking for an enjoyable and educational experience in Mysore, be sure to check out the aquarium! I recently visited this wonderful attraction and was blown away by the variety of aquatic life on display. The aquarium is well-maintained and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had about the different species of fish, turtles, and other marine life on display. One of the highlights of the aquarium for me was the massive tank that featured an impressive array of colorful and exotic fish. The tank was so large that it was almost like stepping into another world. I could have spent hours just watching the fish swim around in their natural habitat. Another feature that I really enjoyed was the interactive touch pool. Here, visitors can touch and even feed the various sea creatures, which is a great way to get up close and personal with marine life. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Mysore aquarium. It's a great place to learn about aquatic life and appreciate the beauty of nature. Whether you're a family looking for a fun outing or a solo traveler seeking a unique experience, the aquarium is sure to delight and inspire.

Wide variety of marine life in display. They have options to feed the fish at certain places. Worth spending 30-45 mins of time. Walk through the tunnel was awesome, they have tiniest fish to above 5 feet. Good place for kids to learn & enjoy. Cons: Stinks at some places & no free parking.

Tickets prices are fair and nicely setup and arranged. Haven't seen of this kind in south India, takes approx 40 mins to complete the tour. Under water tunnel aquarium is very thrilling and quite exotic fishes. Don't miss out the excitement. Better air circulation is needed especially during high foot traffic times. Tunnel glasses can be of superior quality for even better views.

Lokaranjan Aquaworld underwater zoo Experience Hello Guys Recently i visited Lokaranjan Aquaworld Underwater Zoo on weekend i.e.06/08/23. It is a true hidden gem. It's amazing how they've managed to recreate underwater environments right in the heart of the city. The tanks are clean and well-maintained, and the diversity of marine species is impressive. Walking through the tunnels surrounded by sharks and rays was an exhilarating experience. This place is a fantastic escape into the aquatic world, and I can't wait to go back. It is like stepping into a dream. The way they've designed the exhibits allows you to feel like you're truly underwater, surrounded by marine life. The highlight for me was watching the graceful sea turtles glide through the water. The ambiance is soothing, and it's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I left feeling refreshed and inspired by the beauty of our oceans. The kids were in awe of the underwater tunnel and the vibrant fish swimming by. Don't visit on a holidays or weekend because it cannot accommodate to many people and will be suffocating because no proper air flow. But wit less crowd you will definitely have a good time. Entrance Fee Rs.199/- for adults Rs.149/- for Kids

You can spend some time seeing wide varieties of fishes. It is a one time nice experience. The ticket price is slightly on the higher side. Parking is available with extra charges.

Well maintained and interesting water world with quite a number of fish. Some of these were really huge and definitely took me by surprise. The carp pond is nice and very soothing to look at. Made a pit stop here on our journey from Wayanad to Bangalore for a much needed small walk. So yes, it’s a fun thing to do when you have 30-40 minutes to spare and are looking for a relaxing walk. Ps, buy the fish food at the ticket counter if you wish to interact closer with the carps

Wonderful place, with underwater tunnel and a lot of aqua collections. Need at least 3 hours to see everything in detail. The only issue was that it was too hot inside. There are fans, but it's not useful. The entry fee is Rs.199 per head, based on the height of the person, with photo permission. Go and enjoy..

Good for kids. If you have been to under water museum at chennai, you wont find this exciting. But kids will really enjoy. They have provided good lighting to highlight the details. Ticket costs 199 for adults and 149 for kids.
