This place is also known as Gumbaz. It is a Muslim mausoleum at the centre of a landscaped garden, holding the graves of Tipu Sultan, his father Hyder Alu and his mother Fakhr-Un-Nisa. It was built by Tippu Sultan to house the graves of his parents.Β There is no entry ticket.

A must visit place in Srirankapatanam near Mysore Tipu Sultan, The Great Indian Ruler and fought and given his own life and sacrifice blood against British colonial power in AD 1799. A key attraction is here that Story teller inside tomb, He explained everything in details without any advance payment. You can pay him as a compliment and charges up to You.

Tippu Sultan Resting Place (Gumbaz) Besides Tipu Sultan, his father, his mother and various other relatives are buried in the compound of the lovely and peaceful mausoleum... The mausoleum is designed in a typical Persian style, with large rectangular garden with the pathways leading the central structure. The main mausoluem stands on an elevated platform at the center of the garden.

Also called Gumbaz , this place is where the mausoleum of Tipu sultan, his father Hyder Ali and his mother are built. Initially built by Tipu himself for his parents and family it has become his eternal resting place after his earthly body was found in a separate place after battle with British. The place is very serene and worth a visit for people of any religion, it also have a mosque inside it.

Most of ppl come here and ask their needs with Tippu sultan (ra), asking from creation, not from creator! which is highest form of shrik! may Allah protect all of us from this bidaat! There is a mosque near the resting place of Shaheed Tippu sultan (ra) called masjid e Aqsa

Very informative and serene place. Well maintained and groomed gardens. We need to add atouch of technology here by adding more information on Tipu Sultan and his rule. Printed material regarding him should be freely distributed for better reach and tourist attraction.

Decent place but need to open shoes out and there is no shed so the marble gets real hot. Not possible to walk barefoot. The garden surrounding the place is not very clean. They should clean that up.
