A very serene place with river Cauvery flowing at a slow pace. This Gosai Ghat is adjacent to the river, with rock formations, trees and you can see the long winding river rippling amongst rocks and trees. People come here for conducting rituals related to death or other good dharmic obligations. The river bank houses a couple of stone structures where rituals are conducted. An ancient Kasi Vishwanatha Temple which opens at 10.30 am can also be visited. Generally not crowded, limited car parking and there is a eatery at the entrance itself and a couple of hawkers. Go there early morning or late evening to sit and watch the flowing waters. A must visit, if you are traveling around that area.

Place can be improved better for pilgrims. The walkway is rocky and difficult for elderly people. Also there is no facility for ladies to change. Where is all the money that the Muzrai department is collecting from temples.

It used to be a very peaceful , clean and serene place a few yeaes ago , but now it sees a lot of tourist inflow and consequently, a lot of garbage stewn around . Still , it has its charm . The water is always sparkling and gurgling and a coracle ride can be hired to get to the middle of the stream for a more enjoyable experience. A go-shala is now being run close to the ghatta . An old temple of Kashi Vishweshwara stands on the banks. And a few other sculptures are stored in an alcove above the steps.

Place for conducting rituals for dead. River cauvery flows serenely allowing one to do the rituals . Facilities exist for doing everything. However, place is maintained shabbily and only money speaks which is disappointing. Sanctity is lost

A peaceful place. Must visit during Maagha maasa, especially in the early morning as crowd will be less and place will be calm. Fantastic weather and beautiful scenery can be witnessed with chirping of birds . If you are lucky, you can notice peacocks :). River flow will be high during rainy season!

This ghat is where rituals for the soul of the dead are performed. The place could have been cleaner - a lot of discarded clothes and plastic garbage were strewn around. The head priest's attitude was unpleasant (my feeling)..i wouldn't have anything to do with that place for a soul's benefit.

The temple is old and good. One can find the peace he comes looking for in a temple. The ghat is also good but it could have been better in aspects of cleanliness. Surroundings are also not much clean.

Very nice place for picnic and to take a dip if water level is low. One must be careful while getting into the water since water current is strong and lot of stones which may hurt. There is a shop selling swimming cloths and you may buy if you forget to carry your own. There is a changing room but not clean. Only disappointment is to see people leaving the cloths after taking bath as per rituals and it spoils the environment. Parking space is very limited hence during peak time you may find it difficult to park and the road leading to the ghat is very narrow. Overall it was a pleasant experience especially it was an unplanned visit and we have enjoyed well.

Needs lot of maintenance since it's a public place. Overall hygiene is pathetic and not safe to even use the available toilets. If the authorities take enough care, this will turnout to be a great place for everyone to enjoy.

Beautiful scenic locales... Not too crowded.... Rituals can be conducted peacefully... All required infrastructure in place... More so the cleanliness is to be appreciated..

Few years back it was a very quiet and very few people would visit.. Now there are a lot of commercial and ceremonial activites which has actually disrupted the serenity of the place. Still a place to chill during week days only... So do not plan to visit on week ends if you choose to enjoy quietness and privacy.

A great and old place. People have to maintain cleanliness. They drop their old and some new clothes due to inappropriate advice of priests. Priests have to be kind to mother nature and river. They have to advice to people a good behaviour of not throwing clothes in river. Maintain the cleanliness in the premises of this ghat.

There is a Kashi-Vishwanath temple at this Ghat on the river Kaveri where most of the traditions relating to respecting the elderly who have sought abode at the Heavens. This is also a place where lot of annual or other ceremonies are done at peace without the rush / hawkers who create a terrible experience during the grieving process.

Beautiful place to spend your weekend away from city life. You can take train or bus to avoid driving 3 hours from Bangalore. Visit the river and take a fine bath spend much time possible then visit goshala. You can also note money to feel the cows. Such a wonderful place.

Calm and peaceful place. Was Not very crowded when I visited. Place is clean and neatly maintained. The water force is very high, due to heavy rains , so it is adviced not to bath in the river. Police and gaurds are constantly watching and warning us to be safe. The toilets are clean, and they charge 10rs per person.

For the place it's full marks but for the visitors, people should learn to be more responsible and learn to maintain the sensitive bio diversity of this place. Food leftovers, dirt, anything and everything should not be thrown into the river. I urge everyone to maintain this place as pristine as possible. Don't expect the government to do everything without doing your part. It's also important to exercise caution at the river and be warned, the current under the water is very strong.

The place is still un touched by the so called modern facilities, though a little bit cluttered, the kavery water was clean and flowing at a good pace, so be carefull if you wish to take a bath there, the narial pani (raw coconut water) was as fresh as it can be, a must consume item after the rituals, I like the place and surrounding natural vegetation
