In a nutshell: Good food at affordable prices, in a place that embraced its roots. We were made to choose between the air-conditioned enclosure and the al-fresco area, which included individual "kubos" (huts) for the more rural vibe. (We stayed outdoors - it wasn't that hot, thanks to a few electric fans.) Service wasn't five-star but it wasn't horrible, either. Parking spots were too few, given their seating capacity. I ordered the crispy hito, sinigang na boneless bangus, and steamed okra. Although the crispy hito wasn't thoroughly fried until the fish bones were crispy enough to be eaten (that was how we usually enjoyed crispy hito), it was a big serving. I wanted affordable local fare while enjoying the sight of fish ponds. I wasn't disappointed.

The atmosphere is more catered to children as there are statues of cartoons and superheroes scattered around. I would like to quote one of the children who screamed, "What did they do to him?" However, there are some good photo spots as well, such as thrones. The food was pretty good. Pork sinigang was sour, just how I like it. The area we sat in was clean.

Food is fairly priced but nothing special. There's like a lagoon and statues of cartoon characters. Staff were nice. Parking available.

No wonder there's so much going on with this place with all the character statues outside. I think they should focus more on food than the attractions. Their food is nothing to be desired unless you don't have taste buds.

We had dinner here on the eve of Mothers' day. Food was disappointing and lifeless. Fried rice was soggy and looked spent. Fried chicken was small and dry. Seafood chopsuey has vegetables which had seen better days, squid rings were rubbery. Lumpiang Shanghai was tasty and crispy. Overall, it was a big disappointment. Mang Peping was the go-to restaurant of the family and they have deteriorated. Food was tired and not refreshing.

We have been dinning here for years and they never fail to satisfy our taste buds!😊 We actually celebrated our father and my son's birthday here just 5 days apart that's how we like this place a lot. I had 15 pax for the 1st celebration and they put us in the hall near the bridge(I actually forgot the hall's name ahahaha)our menu include crispy hito,pinapaitan,chokoy chicken,pinakbet,sinigang na baboy,buttered talaba, pancit sisig,adobong kangkong,blue lemonade,pandan shake,fresh buko juice and plain rice. For the second event, I went personally to ask if I could possibly get a room for 30 pax but they informed me that no reservations for saturdays and sundays. However, when I asked about the room upstairs where we usually dine privately, I was told someone went there ahead of me to reserve it....🤔(whatever happened to their no reservation policy??) Anyways, I let it pass coz as I said perviously we love the food here so I had to go around 5 pm coz our visitors were arriving @ 6pm. Thank God that the staff who attended me this time were really accomodating and directed us to hall 1 which was really large,clean and the AC was very old. For the menu we ordered: crispy hito,sinigang na hipon,pinapaitan,sinampalukang manok,binagoongan crispy pata,pancit bihon,sweet & sour fillet, pinakbet, chokoy chicken, crispy kangkong, calamares,plain rice and drinks. The food here is great and you are paying for you're money's worth. The staff who atteneded us was really amazing too, very helpful and friendly. The area has a lot of parking space, the restrooms are really clean and they have areas where you and your kids could take photos. Highly recommend this place.👌🏻😊

The meat is soft and tender; but lacks flavor. The service takes time... The place however is clean especially the comfort rooms complete with bidet.

Have dined here with friends and family countless times over the years. But I would admit, haven't been adamant over it these past years since I noticed changes in food quality, serving and prices. I guess the price increases are totally inevitable due to inflation. However, if some of the dishes are marked up high but the quality is low then that's when we have a problem. Anyway, not all of their food are overrated. Many of them are actually good. Have to give credit too to the staff for their efficient service and also ever evolving ambience. Dined September 7, 2023. Loved all of my selection except sa bihon guisado. The noodle has a very strong raw smell and taste. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Kainan ni Mang Peping if necessary.

Food tastes good, price is reasonable, location is safe but with minimal public transportation availability; Open area, well ventilated, toilet cleanliness should improve, crew gets five stars for service orientation.

The food is not that good compare to matutina. Although some dishes are quite good and unique.

On our way home back to Asingan from tondaligan beach, we stop by here for lunch. Parking is not a problem. We dined in inside because outside is hot. Also,if you want, you can dine outside to see the view. Food is good. I recommend their crispy kang kong leaves and ni lasing na hipon. Only thing that bothers me, personally, is those weird looking statues of superhero characters.

Dear Mang Peping.... Ang Ganda ng location at place... pero the food is..... a prank.... small servings, extremely long serving time like 30 to 1 hour before serving and the food is mediocre at best...

The place was pretty awesome!you can't resist yourself from taking instagrammable photos. But the food is not quite satisfactory. Their hototay soup is just like a cream of mushroom, their mixed seafoods is sweet & only squid no mixture of mixed seafoods, they uses alamang for their pakbet not the usual bagoong isda

Your place is great but I hope you should be more accommodating, not all of your guests like the heat, an air conditioned rooms would be a great idea for some to enjoy your delicious food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kainan ni Mang Peping and it was a truly wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in a friendly environment. Kainan ni Mang Peping is definitely worth checking out!

Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. It is our second time taking our family. The staff are great, food very nice. A completely enjoyable experience for all ages no matter just to eat out or celebrate an occassion. The shrimp in butter sauce is worth every peso. Even our kids are all teenagers they still loved seeing all the cartoon characters they grew up watching. Live music with a very talented guitarist/singer only topped off our time most pleasently.

This is an overrated restaurant. We ate here last week and the food were overpriced... they dnt disclose the price of some of the food in the menu until u get the bill we were served with 1 medium grilled squid worth 450 pesos that they said good for 3 people but only good for 1.

It’s first time to come Dagupan. My friend brought me here. We ordered seafoods. One of my favorite filipino foods is Kinilaw. I became to want drinking beer but the room wasn’t allowed alcohol. I don’t know why?

I really liked the place.. The ambiance somehow resembles ISDAAN restaurant from Tarlac.. They both have many focal points that can be used for picture taking... It really works nowadays especially for millenials to have a selfie worthy spots.. Also for photo enthusiasts.. The food is also nice and sumptuous.. The price is also reasonable.. It would have been better if the food will be served faster.. Haha this is because we are starving during the time.. 😂 i would suggest to give allowance for the food preparation when you dine in.. Enjoy the fixtures and interiors of the area. If you love nature, especially wood, you'll definitely love the place.. Just like I did.. ☺

Foods that we ordered taste good, except for their fried chicken which is bland, it is aoft though. Highly recommended the Pata Tim dish! Service crew are also respectful and assisted us kindly.

Excellent! The staff are friendly and are always watching. They are always ready to take additional orders without you having to search for them. They are smiling and they treated us like kings. The food was delicious especially the Kare kare! Yummm Will definitely come again.

one of our favorite places to eat at in Dagupan. great value for your money and they offer a nice variety of seafood. lots of picturesque spots. they have been improving the ambiance of the place and the service of their staff throughout the years—both are impeccable now. i have no complaints.

Nothing special on their food compared to the restaurant around their area. My family and I are expecting too much because of the hype. Service crew are also not that friendly and accomodating. They have clean restroom which is good but overall, it was MEH.

Food is great but pricey. You eat inside the kubo/hut. Their serving is good for 1-2 pax. Sa gaya namin matakaw, good for 1 lang each dish. The waiting time depends. In our own experience, we waited 10 mins for the waiter to give us the menu. Another 10mins for the waiter to get our order. Preparation and cooking time took 30-40mins. Extra rice and other request took us another 20mins. Calling the waiter to get the bill and ask them to take out the leftovers, took us roughly 20mins again. The bill reach us for another long wait. They still haven't took our leftovers. So since it's a waiting game, we just decided to go home and paid exact amount and leave the left overs. By the way, they have spacious parking lot.
