This hostel is a scam. When we booked it, pictures were looking really good. And then we entered. And it was such a big disappointment, everything was dirty or and broken, I can make a quick list of awful things that you will never see in a good hostel, except here : no hot water, bathroom dirty as hell with a broken curtain and a water leak just on the top of the toilets, no heater (you can imagine than taking a cold shower and then came in an even colder place is not really comfy), no wifi in the room and so many other things like that. Moreover, it was not secured : people can come inside without any problem, a friend of mine as even been stolen and a guy was using our bathroom without being from our room. For the positive part, beds were good, and shout-out to the hosting team, they were really welcoming.

This hostel is complete dissapointment. If you want to you ruin your vacation then this is the place where you should go. In this house of horror there was no hot water for all days that I stayed, the room was cold, humid and dirty and I have never seen in my whole life bathroom dirtier than these ones in this hostel. There was no Wi-Fi in the hostel as it says on Booking, also there was only 2 properly working outlet in 8 beds room, door of room couldn't be locked so everyone could enter as they wanted. There were no enough lockers for each one of us, so we need to put all our valuables in one locker. Also, after the check in the host said that he is going to make our bed, but he didn't so we needed to do it by ourselves.

Instead of the new owners leaving it the cool hippie shack it was, they turned it into one of a hundred near by places selling fried fish. What a horrible waste of a place that was booked solid every year with happy chill people. So disappointed, nothing stays the same is the rule. Ruin a good thing as if they couldn't sell smelly fish with the Hostel let in tact.

I recommend the place if you have all vaccines done, not suitable at all for children under 3 years. They "forgot" to give me the invoice 😕Enjoy your holiday!

Quirky, colourful and in a prime location, very close to the beach and everything you need. Staff are great and go above and beyond for you. Best hostel in VV. Don't miss this place - thanks to all the team!

Great place! I love the concept, the best service i got so far in Romania. Really enjoyed my stay here. Try the restaurant if you get a chance! The staff is super sweet!

Had a nice time at this Hostel. I went here two years ago, as that was the last place in Vama Veche where I could find an accomodation and mate, I had a blast there for the 6 days that I stood there. As a Romanian, I was fascinated by the number of different nationalities that was there. There were people from France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Sweden, UK, Switzerland and the best part was that for most of them it wasn't their first visit in Vama Veche and each time they came, they were accommodated at Vampire Beach Hostel. And they were extremely sociable, we went to the beach together and we were going out at night together. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! Cheers for this amazing place!

Great place to meet people and the staff is top, but they need to fix their facilities. Especially the bathrooms are in bad condition.

Pura Vida, a hostel that brings you close to the spirit of Vama Veche. Coquettish and chill, it's rather the place where stories and storytellers through life. It is not for those who have hotel expectations. The concept is based on Hostel. And "S" makes the difference.

We stayed there for 4 days and to be honest the place is awful for the price. The whole room&toilettes are dirty and trash is everywhere. Ceiling is leaking so water droplets are falling down on your head every five seconds. Shower curtain is broken, no hot water whatsoever. There is no heater in the room so taking a cold shower and going back to the cold room is a very good way to catch cold. Our room's door is broken and not secure. Because of this people are entering our room, using our toilette, storing their stuff also even we got some of our things stolen. The only good thing was our host was friendly but still our stay in this hostel was painful to say the least.

I had a great time with the guests and the people working in Vampire Beach Hostel doing all kinds of activities like campfires, yoga on the beach and lots of partying. I love the courtyard, it is great to chill there.

I love this hostel, it has such a great vibe! It's clean and the people there are friendly and fun to hangout with. Expect campfires, bike ride adventures, and partying on the beach until dawn then going for a sunrise swim : )
