Bad experience.... waiting 1 h 30 minutes for a meal.... the first waiter was rude and unpolite. Had to ask a couple of times for them to deliver the food. This time it was very bad. Tochitura dobrogeana very unprepared and full with fats.

English below Cea mai buna mancare pe care am mancat-o vreodata, pe intreg litoralul romanesc! The absolute best place to eat, probably in the whole south of the Romanian seaside. We stayed in Vama Veche, but walked all the way here and back every day for lunch. The prices are incredibly good (the mussles in the picture attached were only 20 lei, or €4.5), the food is amazing and incredibly fresh, portion sizes are extremely generous. Deserts are made with home-made fruit jam and are absolutely amazing, both the papanasi and the pancakes. Will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone!

This experience is out of this world. Trust me when I say this, I went with my friends here for the first time and George made our evening. We served delicious meals, soups were traditional and meaningful. We had home-made fries with cheese and chicken wings. The drinks are locally sourced such as "visinata" next-level. The food was on time and fresh cooked. I strongly recommend this place for price/quality ratio. Don't miss this out.

A pleasant, quaint place with great variety of fish and seafood dishes and very attentive staff. This was our go to dinner place for the three days we stayed in 2 mai. Place is extremely busy so its better to plan your dining beforehand to avoid the time when everyone is returning from the beach. Being smokers we were seated in an open area for smokers surrounded by grape vines and flowers, food was arriving hot, just at the right time when we were ready for the next course, the traditional dessert 'Papanasi' was one of the best I tasted so far. The only thing impacting our experience was a group of tourists next to us that kept distracting the staff to change their order or loudly complain about cats/leaves/wind and other things you can encounter while seated outside. Too bad that you can't ask to remove annoying customers from the place.

Amaaazing food, delicious and fresh. Prices are very low comparative to the quality of the food. The host is very welcoming and the palinca shots are always on the house. the only disadvantage here is that there's almost always a line and in the summer you don't get a table that easily.

Cold fries, mushy cold paneer, the burned black side of the pork was turned downwards. Waiter was so-so. Beer was good. Will never visit again

Papanasi are simply exquisite 👍 by far the best food place in 2 Mai (best quality food and not expensive at all). You feel like you come to eat at your friends garden.

Family restaurant with great food. Affordable prices. In the summer you might queue outside, but it's usually quick to enter. Recommendation: fish soup, fried/ grilled fish with polenta, French fries with crumbled feta cheese on top. Not to be missed: sarmuzac sauce and garlic sauce for the fish and the papanaș dessert with blueberries to make you roll and crawl outside the restaurant 😉

    Really good food. Great service!

One of the great places to eat authentic comfort food, including homemade treats, with or without seafood. It can get very crowded, and the tables are all over the courtyard, giving a less than stellar view or feel. So, if you are after good food but don't care much about your surroundings, that's your place.

Do not order take out! Food is ok i would give it 4 stars, service 3 stars. However, today is the second time we've ordered take out and we were told to come pick it up in one hour but in both cases, once we arrived there, food WAS NOT READY, I repeat, THE FOOD WAS NOT READY ONE HOUR LATER and we had to wait for another 45 minutes. On top of it, today we were missing one of the main dishes after the young lady GUARANTEED everything was in the bag... So again, DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT, those youngsters do not give a f@&k and show 0 empathy.

Food 8 / 10. Prices 9 / 10 The sea snails are good... the french fries are homemade. The "papanasi" are just big, not that tasty.

You can barely breed in there. We waited too much time the food, and when they served us, they forgot a few things. Plus, they served us at the same time the main course as well as the second one.

Nice place, good food and very nice service! Enjoyed every meal there, even if it was extremely busy all the time. Good job! Can't wait to come back!❣

Every year we go to Vama Veche , we are taking our meals here. The food is delicious. I love everything from there. The serving is also fast , there are some key hours when maybe you need to wait for few minutes until a table is free but it totally worth it.
