Very bad sound insonorisation, if you have the luck to have on the same floor some kids, you won't close an eye, trust me, it's like the walls are made out of cardboard. The location is ok-ish but nothing to do, we came yesturday and wanted a massage, "the lady is not here" no spa, no activities...the pool is empty, the rooms are ok ( a nice gesture were the fresh fruits ) but overall this hotel is not worth the money.

Location and facilities are fantastic... Unfortunately this is where it stops.. FOOD.. Oh my what to say boarding on the worst week of eating ever.. Alternative other than the extremely poor restaurant are pizza and burgers sold by highly arrogant vendors... NOVAM has huge potential but needs to sort out a lot of issues

a nice location by the sea with a sea view. still in the bathroom there was not possibility to keep your toothbrush, also no possibility to hand your towel or bath robe. also the soap dispenser was placed in a location which made one almost impossible to use it without making efforts. there is only one restaurant where you can eat in the resort so i guess that in the summer when you are going there is a little bit of to may people. the beach is located at 20 min walking distance and if you want to go to the public beach is also a 20 minute walking distance but you need to book our place so you can make sure you have umbrella and a place to stay. the elements for decoration used for the rooms are not at the price you are paying for the room. the just opened spa is nice and they have very nice employees. all employees actually are friendly. the location for sure is nice for family with kids because they can play in the garden while mum or dad can enjoy a massage. they even have maternity massage and a lot of other type of massages.

This hotel is classified as an all year open hotel but mid September they didn’t have half of the food menu and drinks available. Staff was not very friendly and always bothered when we asked for a drink, not very well trained, they don’t know how the food is cooked and providing misleading information. Food was not tasty at all, the only good thing I ate was the burger. Fish was not fresh, ribs were rancid. Breakfast was average, there were not many options, for a 4 star hotel i would expect more quality food. There was only omelette and boiled eggs available, olives too salty, 3 types of salami and a few options for cheese. Coffee is terrible, and for drinks there is nothing fresh, only soda from the machine. For kids there are just a few options and are the same every day. Overall the resort is not maintained at all, very dirty, the pool and the area nearby was dirty, the tables and chairs from the restaurant were sticky- that dirty they were. On the beach the sand was full of empty glasses and bottles, all the sunbeds full of sand and stains, no one cleaned then or arrange them during our stay. Staff is not customer oriented, very rude and unprofessional.

- • Overpriced food at the restaurant • Most of the staff members are not welcoming • Spent 3 days here: Wi-Fi wasn’t working for 2 days • It’s something personal but I didn’t find any food “attractive” from what they had for breakfast and lunch and when I picked some stuff I thought I’d like I didn’t because the food was not cooked properly. • The place where they serve breakfast and lunch was very unorganised. • Went at the pool for a day and the bottom of my foot were kind of hurting because of the flooring used at the pool. • At the beach, there are big stones (I think) under the water that make your feet hurt. • There is little to no signal whatsoever in the ‘resort’ • None of the staff respects the COVID rules. It doesn’t bother me but they promote them. A little bit hypocrite if you ask me. ‍ + • The rooms and restaurant hall are decorated nicely – maybe a bit too many mirrors in the apartments but that is a personal preference • The minibar has great snacks and drinks ‍ OVERALL I don’t recommend this place. There are other places that cost less and offer better service and food than Novum does.

When you have a 100+ people event during the weekend, maybe... just maybe hire a little extra help. Its outrageous to wait 2.5h for the food to arrive.

Bad: not enough parking space, the management of the restaurant during the included meals was not always good as there were a lot of customers and not enough waiters, the quality of the food in the morning and at lunch was not very satisfactory, they offer a program of the week, but if it is the first time you get there you may not know where everything is (they should also add a small map of the place). Good: the rooms were clean, everyday they would leave free water, there were playgrounds and people hired to entertain children, the food at the restaurant during dinner was ok

5 five star resort with a superb location, interesting and diverse breakfast as well as cosy well furnished rooms. The kids play area near the trees area is also something to mention. All in all a good alternative for an escape to the seaside...

Great place to go to the Black Sea, and enjoy a private beach and pretty relaxed atmosphere.

Great experience, best service, most suitable resort for kids with plenty of places to play, lots of fun, activities both for adults and little ones. Would return gladly if distance wouldn't be a problem.

Pros- - the room was nice and spacious - the reception staff - the big bathroom and the kitchen well equiped Cons - - small beach with old and dirty mattresses, low quality towels - the staff was almost absent on the beach, no services on the beach, no one asked us if we want a drink or something else - the sea was awful, a lot of smelly seaweed on the sand, the beach was not cleaned - the breakfast was average - the quality of the coffee from the buffee was very bad and I asked one cappucino extra-charge but it had almost the same bad taste of old and undecalcified machine. - they said that the pool has warmed water but it's a lie - in the hallways of the hotel the AC was not working and it was impossible to breathe - the undergroung parking lot was still under constructions, a lot of unnecessary things being stored. When I tried to get down from my car I was catched in a mousetrap :))) Not a good price - quality ratio, unfortunately.

We spent here 3 nights during the week as a family and we had a really great time. The beach is small but really nicely organized, with an eye for detail, and some cool elements such as hammocks, beach pillows, etc. People divide between the two pools and the beach so at the end it is not very crowded if you compare it with the normal beaches in peak season in Romania. The water was clear and there are some stones indeed, however manageable. Here the management should invest in the low season and take them out. There are a lot of activities for children, including animation, a vast kids club in the evening and two pools, one with a water landscape and slides and one with a shallow beach kind of entry. I really appreciated, that they had children animators during the day on the beach and at the pool, the littles ones were thrilled and we could sip a coffee. The food was delicious in the halfboard part and in the evening there was a good vibe in the Leto restaurant, as there was live music every evening. The room design was fancy and the room spotless clean. I really liked the smooth air conditioning and the mirror above the beds. However here I would like to signalize a major issue (no stars in minus for that): there is a kind of stone/marble on the floor which feels REALLY cold, like an ice knife. You cannot walk without having your slippers on. For me it resulted in lower back pains, as I have a preexisting condition but maybe other people are less sensitive about it. However, some floor islands with wood or carpets or whatever design solution would be a must in my opinion. A big thank you to the staff, always kind and friendly, from cleaning ladies to waiters or receptionists. Their smile lit up the place. The place is pricey, no doubt about it, but all in all, we had a good time! We would return

Fantastic 5 days in NOVUM By the Sea, all you need for a holiday/ rest, perfect for families, and lots of activities to do for the kids. All in a nice and safe environment. Pool high quality, food and bar service over the top. Private beach with fantastic Beach Bar. Tasty breakfast with plenty of options, don't forget to ask for an omelette made special for you.

Great location, all the staff from cleaning to services in the restaurant was impressive. First time in Romania Black Sea in 7 years and i have to say we will be back. Great for family with children. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Great place for young families, perfect pool design, beautiful apartments, great play facilities. Will stay again!

Rooms, interior design and cleanliness: 5/5 Beach: 4/5 (they actually collect the seaweed on the beach in the morning, which is really nice; sharp stones when entering the water) Restaurant Leto: Room service pizza: 1/5 (took 1h 30', called again to see what's happening, said they had system problems, probably forgot the order, because it was brought very soon after. Pizza/pinsa looked bad and tasted bad.) Breakfast: 3/5 Lunch: 3/5 (decent, canteen food, you would expect better from a 4 star hotel) Dinner: 1/5 (very weak food) Chef's Choice of Thai seafood plate - some decent and warm shrimps, cold calamari, very tough rapana, 1 good octopus and 1 tough, sauce was plain soy and some sesame seeds Chef's Choice BBQ Ribs - very fatty, paste texture, cold Seafood pasta - ok Don't include horrible food in Chef's choice. It reflects badly on the restaurant, the hotel and the management.

The location and facilities are great and very clean. Close to the beach. They offer a lot of playgrounds for kids. The food is nothing special: for example fries and burger, soup, polenta or rice. The worst is the restaurant personnel that was behaving very poorly and totally unprofessional. We asked about food without eggs and dairy because of the kids allergies and they made us feel really bad every time. They were always hunting for tips. I wouldn’t recommend it, and for sure I will not go back again.

Its been a long time since I had a holyday in Romania like this, probably never. Everything is so clean, personnel so helpful, kids have enough outdoors activities. I am very pleased.
